Gokulam By Upasana

The apartment was very clean, and my family and I (4 of us) had a comfortable stay for the one day we stayed. It is very conveniently located near the West Nada of the temple. You can basically walk out of the gate and walk straight to the temple. There are a few vegetarian restaurants and stores nearby. There are two bedrooms, both air-conditioned, two king-size mattresses, an extra mattress without a bed, and a pull-out sofa in the living room. There are also two bathrooms, and everything was clean and appropriate.

The main thing I did not like was that the actual name of the apartment complex was never clarified beforehand. I had communicated with the Gokulam by Upasana team before arriving, but I was not told that the apartment complex itself was called Soorya Madhavam. I think this is an important detail that should have been communicated earlier, especially when guests are trying to locate the property using GPS. This caused some difficulty finding the complex and figuring out the parking. The gentleman I was communicating with, Prasobh, mentioned the name only when we were already in the vicinity and after I specifically asked for the location map. Even then, the security guard at the complex was completely unaware of a unit called Gokulam by Upasana. When I called Prasobh, his response was, “I asked you to call me when you are there.” If that was the arrangement, I feel this should have been clearly communicated in advance. When driving through unfamiliar traffic, it is not practical to make multiple phone calls while trying to locate the property. At the very least, the security guard could have been informed beforehand that we were arriving and which unit we were looking for. This was the major flaw in the overall setup. I also never really met anyone directly in charge of the unit during the stay, other than the security guard handing the key over to me.

The apartment is very clean and well suited for families.Just 200 metres away from Guruvayoor temple which makes it easier for everyone. Staffs were polite and really helpful.

Fans can be replaced even though they have AC in good condition

Prasob was really accomodating and guided us throughout the trip.

Very close to the temple. It’s like 150-200 meters. You can just walk. The service was exceptional. Adequate supply of fresh water, kitchen utensils etc. Thanks to Muralee and Prasobh who were pro active for support.

I would have liked toiletries (tooth paste, brush etc) to be there, or at least mention what is not provided. We received 2 soap bars which were decent. Anyway at this price, one must not bring that up as a point I think. Just writing this so next visitor can come prepared.

We stayed for 2 nights. Overall it was a very good. Room was big enough to accommodate around 5 to 6 people

The apartment lift is too old.. recommended to replace the lift or give proper maintenance.please provide gas and gas stove for cooking in this apartment.it will help for cooking.the induction cookers is not appropriate for some time.at the time our stay we need more tea tag , please provide new and more amount of tea tag's.

5 th Floor but got lift . Few cockroaches at night.

Location is at walkable distance to north nada, but i recommend taking an auto @ Rs. 50, up and down. Autos are available in plenty. Room are very neat, with large extra mattresses and pillows available. Rooms are air conditioned. There is a small kitchen with plates and glasses. A microwave and fridge is also a available. Two spacious bathrooms, which are very clean. Wifi is free. Just get the password from the host. Highly recommended for large families.

The apartment was practical, fair price, and within walking distance to the temple. Convenient location. We appreciated access to the kitchenette and that ample filtered water was available for our use.

We wished there had been a TV and refrigerator.

If you provide a small fridge, it is more comfortable.

Not pet friendly. Lack of communication and prior agreement between association and owner led to confusion over allowing the pet leading to delay in checking in and inconvenience. Likewise, enough bedsheets were not provided though we had requested in advance and one of us had to use a shawl as a bedsheet over the mattress. Additionally we were also short of a comforter.

Location, homely atmosphere, very near to temples and eateries. Lot of parking space, surrounding apartments are with decent families. Overall a quite lovely place to stay.

The care taker doesn't stay there and very difficult to get him or speak to him on phone. He arranged for a cab to drop us to alleppy. The price was exhorbitant, reckless driving, drivers behaviour was very bad and he was supported by the property contact person.

Conveniently located within a short walk to both Guruvayoor and Mammiyoor temples. The apartment is well-maintained, and the caretaker Mr Prashob is excellent. Highly recommended
