Hema Holiday Villa

We liked.... the host, the large breakfast, the location, the quiet air-conditioning, the well kept garden, the nearby restaurants, the great value. Everything really.

Wunderschöne Oase die nur wenige Meter (vielleicht 5 Minuten weg) vom Strand entfernt lag. Durch die Lage war es absolut ruhig nachts. Auf der Straße waren zahlreiche hervorragende Restaurants mit toller Preis/Leistung. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und es kam eine schöne familiäre Atmosphäre auf. Der Gastgeber war wahnsinnig nett, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Wir haben sogar verlängert. Am Vorabend unserer Abreise haben wir ein paar zu viele Cocktails in den nahegelegenen Bars genossen, was unseren Gastgeber veranlasste uns jeweils noch eine Flasche Wasser zu schenken. Einfach eine coole Aktion.

Super nice host, clean and the a/c was working fine. Location was good, close to the beach and restaurants but far enough to not hear the music from the beach Bar. Thank you for the stay!

The water in the shower was not running down, so we needed to mop it after every shower but that was not s big Deal for us.

Suba ist ein unglaublich liebevoller und netter Gastgeber. Die Villa ist charmant ausgestattet und Suba hat ein gutes Auge für Details sowie einen wunderschönen Garten, der zum Relaxen einlädt. Zum Strand sind es max. 5 Minuten zu Fuss, die Lage ist auch sonst top. Etwas abseits des Trubels von Uppuveli Beach und dennoch sehr zentral. Sehr ruhig und sauber.

Sehr herzlicher Gastgeber, der sich liebevoll um seine Gäste kümmert. Unser Zimmer war sauber und gemütlich, auch wenn es kein Fenster hatte, was für uns aber kein Problem war. Der Garten ist wunderschön angelegt und die Lage nah am Strand ideal. Besonders schön war, dass der Host für uns eine Delfin- und Wal-Tour organisierte und uns persönlich zum Startpunkt brachte. Jeden Tag gab es frisches Wasser, und auch nach unserer Abreise hatten wir noch netten Kontakt. Eine Unterkunft mit viel Herz!

Locatie is top! Lekker dichtbij het strand. Hele lieve gastheer die je voorziet van tips als je daar naar vraagt.

De deur van de badkamer laat zonlicht door, waar je wakker van kan worden. Verder was er geen warm water, maar dat is op de meeste plekken zo.

Der Gastgeber ist unglaublich bemüht und hat uns bei allem weitergeholfen. Er war der erste der morgens wach war & der letzte der in‘s Bett ist - wir haben uns rundum gut betreut gefühlt.

Das Hotel hat einfach einen besonderen Charme und der Besitzer ist einer der freundlichsten Gastgeber den ich in Sri Lanka kennengelernt habe! Er hilft wo er kann, hat tolle Tips und organisiert alles was man sich wünscht! Das macht einen den Aufenthalt zu etwas besonderen! Der Garten ist traumhaft und lädt zum verweilen ein! Zimmer sind sauber und ausreichend. Das Frühstück sehr lecker, hab ich mir sagen lassen! Alles in allem hatte ich einen rundum großartigen Aufenthalt im Hema Holiday Villa

Suba est un hôte exceptionnel et d'une gentillesse hors du commun. Très à l'écoute, il anticipe nos besoins. Petit déjeuner délicieux; très bien situé au calme et proche de la mer. La propreté est irréprochable et le jardin est magnifiquement entretenu.

De host is onwijs lief en behulpzaam! Hij denkt mee en staat altijd klaar om te helpen. Het ontbijt was ook heerlijk!! De kamers zijn kleurrijk en bevatten alles wat je nodig hebt. Het strand is 5 minuutjes lopen, net zoals veel leuke eettentjes. Wij vonden ons verblijf hier super en zouden het iedereen aanraden?

You really feel at home here. The house is colourful, nicely decorated, simple and welcoming. Here, you get a glimpse of the culture and lifestyle of trincomalee: calm, kind and caring. The host is such a nice person, who is always there to help you and chat, and with great knowledge about the city, and travelling Sri Lanka, we felt in very good hands with his advices and way of being. It’s not a luxury stay, but that’s also not the point. Its clean and cosy and comfortable. The host also prepared breakfast for us. It’s so cosy and calm to start your day with breakfast in the garden. We recommend! Especially Sri Lankan breakfast if you are up for something new✨🍉🌴

The rooms very really nice and comfortable and the garden just beautiful. Suba was so nice and friendly, he really is the perfect host. Breakfast was really delicious as well.

Een fijne kleinschalige accomodatie op loopafstand van het strand en restaurantjes. De eigenaar is zeer behulpzaam en gastvrij. De kamer en badkamer zijn iet wat klein, maar heeft alles wat je nodig hebt.

De eigenaar was echt super! Hij dacht overal mee mee en je kon hem alles vragen. Niets was teveel! De kamer was netjes en er was een goed werkende airco. Helemaal top!

De eigenaar is super vriendelijk, de locatie is top, 2 min lopen van het strand met leuke strandtentjes! In de straat zitten talloze leuke restaurantjes.

Heerlijke lokatie, aan de rand van de stad, juist dichtbij alles wat je nodig hebt. Super schone en kleurrijke kamers, gezellige tuin en heel behulpzame host.

De eigenaar is ontzettend vriendelijk en helpt je graag. Je kan heerlijk ontbijt bestellen. Goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. En lekker rustig ook al is het in het centrum.

We had an amazing time during our stay here. The host was exceptional and made us feel so welcomed and well looked after. Lovely touches like water every day and tea coffee facilities in the room. Everything was spotlessly clean and the plants are incredible! Short walk to the beach and all the shops & restaurants. We would highly recommend and would definitely stay again 😁

Il proprietario gentilissimo, la camera pulita, ottima anche la colazione. Posizione a meno di 5 minuti a piedi dalla spiaggia in una zona molto tranquilla.

Manca l'acqua calda in bagno, anche se il proprietario si è reso disponibile a fornire un catino per metterci l'acqua riscaldata con il bollitore.

De hele accommodatie wordt netjes bijgehouden, alles is heel schoon. Het zit op een goede locatie dicht bij het strand en is lekker rustig. Goede airco!

Het doucheputje zit op het hoogste punt in de badkamer waardoor deze na een douche volstond, en je een paar minuten moest dweilen om geen natte voeten te krijgen als je erna naar binnen stapte.

Het is een heel sfeervolle plek, met veel planten, gekleurde kamers en ontzettend vriendelijk personeel. Zeker Suba was ontzettend attent en staat altijd voor je klaar!

The accommodation is an amazingly beautiful, spotlessly clean, peaceful oasis with nurtured gardens.The host Suba is an excellent friendly host who speaks English well and cooks beautiful breakfasts. The accommodation is very relaxing. The beds were super comfy, and the sheets were very soft. The beach is beautiful, very clean and sand entry to the sea with a great choice of restaurants close by. We extended our stay and will return and recommend it to our friends and family.

Bollitore e caffè a disposizione gratuitamente in camera. Stra consigliato

Super vriendelijke eigenaar. Niets is hem te veel. Vlakbij strand en aan eind gezellig straatje met restaurantjes.

Super Wahl in Uppuveli Beach. Nahe am Strand, ruhig, sehr sauber. Hervorzuheben gilt es die Herzlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des Betreibers. Er hat alles unternommen, um mir den bestmöglichen Aufenthalt zu verschaffen. Sehr empfehlenswert ist auch das sei lankische Morgenessen: Reichhaltig, liebevoll angerichtet und sehr lecker.

Ich kann die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen und würde jederzeit wieder buchen. Alles war sauber, der Gastgeber war freundlich, es war ruhig. Man hätte sogar ein Frühstück buchen können - es gibt auch Möglichkeiten in direkter Nähe.

Das Zimmer war gemütlich - in unserem Fall blau gestrichen - nicht zu groß, hatte aber alles was man brauchte: eine Klimaanlage, einen Wasserkocher mit gratis Tee und Kaffee. Die Lage befindet sich in ungefährer Strandnähe, umgeben von zahlreichen Cafés und Restaurants. Abends war es sehr ruhig. Der Besitzer hat das Herz am rechten Fleck und kümmerte sich täglich um den wunderschönen Garten. Auch überraschte er uns mit einem selbstgekochten Late-Night-Snack. Gastfreundschaft und Service haben hier oberste Priorität.

Ik raad iedereen aan om hier hun tijd in Trincomalee te verblijven, het is echt een hele fijne plek. De eigenaar is heel gastvrij en maakt altijd een praatje met je, en kan ook tours in de omgeving voor je regelen. Het bed slaapt heerlijk en de airco is ook heel fijn in de warme omgeving. Je verblijft in een prachtige tuin waar je goed kan ontspannen in een van de hangmatten, en als je wilt kan je er ook lekker ontbijten. Bedankt voor alle goede zorgen!

De host is echt fantastisch! Zo vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Hij gaf ons ‘s ochtends een theetje, had Sri Lankaans eten voorzien en had ons opgehaald na een tour. De accomodatie is heel kleurrijk, heel hygiënisch en perfecte locatie bij het strand en restaurantjes. Beste accomodatie tijdens onze reis in Sri Lanka!

Excelente guesthouse localizada a 5 minutos a pé da praia de Uppaweli! Quarto adequado com a/c obrigatório para o calor da praia. O proprietário está sempre presente e disponível para resolver qualquer questão necessária! Fiquei 6 noites para relaxar apos uma grande viagem e foi a melhor opção! Restaurante e pequenos supermercados na rua. Limpeza impecável! Recomendo!!

As we learned the property is quite new, but it is just so nice. We had a room with very comfy bed, good quality AC and a fan. The host was always avaliable and helped us with everything we needed. He even arranged a scuter for rent so we could explore the Trincomalee. When you enter the front of the building it is like you enterd the small paradise with all the plants and always mantained sandy ground. The host is taking good care of the property and really make an effort to accommodate guests the best he can.

Bardzo fajne miejsce na pobyt w świetnej lokalizacji, zaledwie parę minut na nogach do pięknej plaży. Pan właściciel bardzo miły i gościnny. W całym domu bardzo czysto, jest wszystko czego potrzeba. Zdecydowanie polecamy to miejsce!

A little oasis Tucked away just from the road, Hena holiday villa is the perfect location for a relaxing stay in Trincomalee. We booked an AC room with private bathroom. The room was lovely, The perfect size for all our luggage (we didn’t travel light) The accommodation was very clean. The Host Suba was one of the kindest people we met in Sri Lanka, so welcoming and always available for requests/ advice. He helped us plan and book a whale / dolphin watching trip and a pigeon island snorkelling trip (which was one of the highlights of our entire holiday) As mentioned the location is ideal just a few minutes walk to the beach super close to lots of lovely cafes and restaurants and super easy to hop in a Tuktuk to explore Trincomalee. Our only regret is we didn’t stay longer, we would absolutely love to stay here again and hope to in the future. Side note: if you have an interest in history the Trincomalee war cemetery is a short walk away. Please visit and sign the visitor book. We met Mr Raja the head gardener who works so hard and is so proud of this beautiful garden / cemetery.

Il proprietario una persona fantastica, gentile e premuroso. Molto gradito il succo di benvenuto. Camera davvero pulita. Giardino ottimamente curato. Anche se senza finestra con il condizionatore si stava molto bene. Vicinissimo alla spiaggia e a ristoranti.

The owner is such a lovely man, very friendly and very helpful. We chatted everytime we saw each other. He keeps the place very clean and maintains a very beautiful garden full of plants. The room was bg and the bathroom too. The bed was comfy and I would have no problem staying there again.

Мы очень рады были остановиться на 2 дня в данном отеле. Очень чисто , никаких муравьев и прочей живности не было. Единственное омрачало - это отсутствие горячей воды, но тогда проходили выборы президента, может из-за этого были какие то проблемы . Сам хозяин очень внимательный , пытается помочь всем чем может . Расположение отличное - все в пешей доступности - и пляж и кафешки. Мы вернулись бы снова в этот домашний мини отель))) Шри-Ланка и Тринкомали в нашем ♥️

Очень уютный дворик, гостевой дом и сам номер (пожалуй была самая удобная кровать из всех 5 отелей, где мы останавливались). Гостевой дом в тихом месте в 10 метрах от дороги (как бы во дворе) и в 10 минутах от потрясающего пляжа. При это рядом много ресторанчиков, так что отсутствие еды в отеле абсолютно не мешало. Хозяин прекрасно говорил по английски и был готов помочь во всех вопросах, в частности через него мы заказывали все тук-туки и такси.

Очень сильно портил отдых шумный вентилятор в комнате, который нельзя было отключить на ночь (т.к. через 10 минут без него становилось безбожно душно). Кондея не было, правда здесь над отметить, что при бронировании нам предлагалось перейти за небольшие деньги на номер с кондиционером, но к этому предложению мы отнеслись не совсем внимательно. Ещё в номере не было горячей воды, однако это было уже не критично, т.к. сама вода нагревалась от тепла улицы и приносила приятную прохладу. А вот необходимость сгонять воду в люк (после мытья) немного утомляла.

Minimal natural light in the room but this was a pictured. Would probably go for an A/C room in future, the fan wasn't quite enough with the heat overnight!

The villa is colorful and cozy, very close to Uppuveli Beach. We enjoyed a lot our stay, thanks to nice air conditioned room and perfect position to explore the area. On top of everything the host is AMAZING - he's not only a great guy and a really good person but he literally did everything and even more to guarantee us a lovely stay and a wonderful holiday, could not thank him enough for that!

The Hema Villa is beautiful and authentic. We really liked the accommodation and the room was very clean! The host is very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. We would definitely visit the villa again!

Alles is ons enorm bevallen hier. Locatie, hygiene, fijne kamer met airco (kamer met ventilator 1 avond gehad maar was enorm heet) Maar vooral de host Suba. Van alle mensen die enorm lief en behulpzaam zijn in Sri Lanka, spant hij de kroon. Wat een lieve zachtaardige en behulpzame man. En vooral het gevoel dat hij het met alle liefde aan een ieder gunt.

ALLES. Suba, de eigenaar van Hema Holiday Villa heeft van ons verblijf een onvergetelijk mooie ervaring gemaakt. Hij is een uiterst charmante , attente en hulpvaardige gastheer. Zijn Villa is goed verzorgd, vrolijk gekleurd , schoon en heeft een mooie tuin met hangmatten. Onze kamer had een heerlijk bed, een goed werkende airco en een badkamer met toilet, wastafel en een heerlijke douche. Hema Holiday Villa ligt op loopafstand van de oceaan. We vierden tijdens ons verblijf hier ons 32 jarig huwelijksfeest. We hebben heerlijk gegeten (ontbijt en lunch) bij Rangan in Restaurant Karma/ The White Guesthouse even verderop in de straat en heerlijk ontbeten bij Pream Shack (naast de entree van Hema Holiday Villa) . We hebben gesnorkeld bij Pigeon Eiland hetgeen een mooie ervaring was en genoten van de heerlijke zee, de golven en het strand nabij Hema Holiday Villa. Het is een in alle opzichten aanbevelenswaardige plek. Restaurant Wave, op het strand is een heerlijke plek om te zitten met heerlijk eten!

Niets want het verblijf krijgt van ons een uitmuntende (10 plus) beoordeling.

Vriendelijke eigenaar, dichtbij het strand. We hadden (perongeluk) een kamer zonder airconditioning geboekt. Eigenaar dacht goed met ons mee waardoor we laatste 2 nachten in een andere kamer konden slapen.

Geen ontbijt terwijl van te voren was aangegeven dat dit er wel was.

I fully recommend this place. The location is perfect, close by the beautiful and lively Uppuveli beach. We appreciated the warm welcome and the colored bedroom.

Magnifique hôtel plein de couleur, très propre et accueillant avec un agréable jardin au calme. A 5 minutes à pied de la plage superbe et très propre. Nombreux restaurants autour. Pas de possibilité de petit déjeuner mais nous avons pu prendre sur la petite terrasse du jardin. De quoi faire du thé ou du café dans la chambre et l'hôte nous a laissé l'accès au frigo de l'hôtel. Accueil très souriant et agréable, aux petits soins pour notre confort.

Il faisait très chaud et nous avons regretté de ne pas avoir réserver les chambres avec clim. Le ventilateur était utile mais un peu insuffisant.

De kamers zijn een beetje klein er een deel heeft geen airco. Dit is goed om te checken tijdens de boeking.

Nous avons passé 2 nuit chez Hema, C'est juste super, très propre, la climatisation, à 200m de la plage Suba était au petit soins avec nous Il propose des cours de Yoga chez son ami qui sont très bien. On a loué un scooter par lui à un très bon prix.

Segnalo che la stanza non ha finestre e che la doccia ha solo acqua fredda. Io ne ho avuto bisogno e gentilmente mi ha scaldato dell'acqua.

Room was clean and cozy - a little small, but quite enough for us. Our room had no window, but AC. The location was perfect for chilled days at the beach. Only a few minutes by walk to Fernandos Beach Market. We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

The owner is very hospitable and we had a very nice time in Hema Holiday Villa. He helped us to organize some of our days. The place is close to the ocean and there are many restaurants and bars very close so you dont need a vehicle at all. On our 3 night stay we went out every evening. During the day you can do many activities like a boat and snorkeling tour, visiting temples or walking at the beach. For people who like to do yoga in a group there are sessions every morning. I recommend this place and I am happy for the good memories in Trincomalee and the people there.

A super lovely and cheerful host who got us juices and water every day and even cooked for us for free! Suba introduced us to Hindu culture and recommended us great things to do and places to eat without trying to sell us something which we hadn’t experienced in our stays before. The rooms was clean and had everything we needed. The location is a 5min walk from the beach.

We couldn’t sleep very well because without the AC it was too hot, and the AC was hard to regulate.

Хорошая чистая территория, расположение недалеко от океана, но в тихом месте. Близко ко всем местам где можно поесть, тусоваться. Очень хороший, отзывчивый хозяин, готовый во всем помочь. Видно, что ему не безразлично состояние отеля и комфорт гостей. Обязательно вернёмся сюда если будет такая возможность)) У нас был номер с кондиционером, также имеется чайник, стаканы, чай и кофе, ежедневно даётся бутылка воды. Это был один из лучших отелей за 4 наши поездки в эту удивительную страну)

La habitación hacia un calor insoportable, teníamos que tener la puerta abierta para que entrara algo de corriente porque ni con el ventilador se podía estar, el cuarto de baño estaba el suelo.hecho al revés y hacia balsa al ducharte así que tenías de achicar agua después de la ducha

Der Besotzer ist supernett und arrangiert alles was man sich wünscht. Es ist sauber und dem Preis wirklich angemessen. Ruhige Lage. Gleich neben dem Hotel gibt eine kleine Bar, die tolles Frühstück macht; man braucht nur etwas Zeit🤗

Hema Holiday Villa’s host, Suba, is such a kind and friendly person. He made sure we had the most wonderful stay. The bed is very comfortable and the pillows and linen feel very luxurious. It’s a short walk to the beach and all the restaurants, but nice and quiet for sleeping. We weren’t getting picked up until late in the afternoon to go to our next destination, and Suba was so kind to offer us to use the bathroom and shower after our day at the beach so that we would be comfortable for our car ride. Thank you for having us and for your wonderful hospitality!

The owner ans his Son made us feel very welcome! We ve learned about the hindu religion as well as sri lankan history while enjoying the perfect location within 5 minutes to the beach. The rooms were pretty clean as well!

Loved staying at Hema! The host was so lovely and helpful and even looked out for me when I arrived back late one night. The room is great - has AC, is very clean, with a comfortable bed. It’s also very close to the beach - around 7min walk. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Lovely, clean, comfortable accomodation a few hundred metres from the beach. The manager was amazing and one of the nicest people we’ve ever met! We had a lovely welcome drink, complementary teas, and the manager was very attentive to any needs we had. The bed was comfortable, the location is quiet and we had great sleeps, nice air conditioning, good wifi. The bathroom is basic but had everything we needed, and for the price this is a great option and we’d stay here again!

I had a wonderful stay at this new villa. It was very clean, especially the rooms and bathrooms. The staff were super friendly and always ready to help. Breakfast was available on request and it was really superb. There are lots of restaurants nearby, and it's easy to walk to the beach. There's also a nice restaurant by the beach at Golden Beach Cottages. The room prices were reasonable. I really recommend this place for a nice stay.

The owner was very nice and polite, he stayed up for me and did everything I needed as I checked into the hotel late that night. The owner said it was newly opened. The hotel was much nicer, cleaner and neater than we expected. The bathroom was excellent. There were all facilities for making tea. The mattress was very nice. The pillow was great. Wifi worked good and fast. From here it is a two minute walk to the beach. The beach was nice and clean. The service of this hotel is amazing. Highly recommend this hotel for its outstanding service and warm hospitality! Thank you, we’ll come back .

Such an amazing hotel! The owner is so friendly and helpful, he really makes the stay. The place is super clean, good location and you have everything you need nearby. This is the place to stay if you're visiting Trincomalee :)
