Clean, comfortable, perfect location. A home from home. It had everything we needed. We came as a family of 4, with 2 kids under 7. The host, Isabel, was super helpful and lovely and always available to get in touch with. It's a couple of minutes walk into the little town of Santa Cruz and to the beach/swimming pools for the kids. It is such a great spot for families. Lovely views towards the sea, and seeing the planes coming in and taking off. My boys loved that! We hope to come back! Highly recommend!

Gostamos muito da estadia. Destaco especialmente a limpeza impecável, a localização também é excelente, muito prática e conveniente para deslocações e acesso a vários pontos de interesse. As utilidades disponíveis corresponderam às expectativas e contribuíram para uma estadia tranquila e funcional. Além disso, a simpatia e disponibilidade da proprietária fizeram toda a diferença, proporcionando um ambiente acolhedor desde o primeiro momento. Recomendo sem dúvida este alojamento.

Velmi milá a ochotná hostitelka paní Isabel. Vyhověla nám ohledně vhodného parkování. Apartmán byl krásný a prostorný na dobrém místě. Možno pouze doporučit !

Die Besitzerin Isabel hat einfach alles getan, damit es den beiden Gestrandeten (uns) an nichts mangelte - war sehr höflich, aufmerksam, zuvorkommend und einfach nur suuuuper nett. Das galt sowohl für unsere Ankunft, als wir nicht so recht wussten wohin und sie uns persönlich aufpickte und zur Wohnung begleitete, als auch für die Abreise, als es nicht fest stand, ob wir an dem fraglichen Tag tatsächlich wegkommen würden und sie die Wohnung extra deswegen noch eine Weile frei hielt. Mehr Service geht einfach nicht - ist physisch nicht möglich. Das Appartement selbst ist riesig (hat 2 separate Schlafzimmer und kann auch ruhig von einer Großfamilie bezogen werden), hell, warm und sehr modern ausgestattet. Es liegt zentral in Santa Cruz - die ganzen Supermärkte, Restaurants, Cafes und auch der Strand sind mit ein paar Schritten zu erreichen. Ruhig ist es nicht, weil Santa Cruz gerade mal 300m Luftlinie vom Flughafen entfernt ist - aber das gehört dann eben dazu. Für Planespotter wie mich kann man sich keine bessere Location vorstellen. Kurzum: Danke, liebe Isabel, und alles alles Gute 🤗

The apartment was beautiful, clean, tidy and everything you needed. It's a lovely apartment I can't fault it..it's perfect

Appartamento pulitissimo e attrezzato. Letti molto comodi. Parcheggio utilissimo (adatto ad auto piccole). L'host, Isabel, è gentilissima.

Garagen Zugang ist sehr eng, vorallem beim raus fahren. Nur für geübte Fahrer

Very nice apartment , clean, great location and a very supportive host in all regards.

The only negative thing is that the TV is no smart TV, so things like Netflix, Disney etc are not possible. But that's not as important for us.

Čistý, krásny dvojpodlažný byt. Všetko bolo super, vybavenie dotiahnuté k dokonalosti.

Super logement, avec tous les équipements. Le linge de maison, les serviettes de plage, et la machine à laver sont un vrai plus! Le parking prive couvert également. Une petite attention culinaire ainsi que des dosettes de café nous attendaient sur place. De nombreux restaurants et bars à proximité immédiate et accessibles à pied. L’aéroport est à a peine 5 min en voiture. Le logement est bien insonorisé, le bruit des avions n’a pas été un problème.

Appartement confortable et bien aménagé. Chambres spacieuses avec de grands rangements. Cuisine bien aménagée et pratique. Appartement très bien situé pour profiter du centre ville et du bord de plage. Santa Cruz est un village agréable avec une bonne ambiance de vacances. La ville comporte de nombreux restaurants avec des plats régionaux copieux et aux prix raisonnables.

The host was just amazingly nice with us, she came and pick us from the airport at 1:30 of the night. The apartment was amazing and it’s well located !

Very close to the airport and spacious.

There was no Air con so got quite warm.

It was such a good location for us! Very close to the airport without being much of a disturbance, and literally a 3-5-minute walk from restaurants, cafés, shops, a playground, public pool, boardwalk, and the (rock) beach! Even the Aquaparque (the water park with waterslides, etc) was only a 10-minute walk. It's also close to the highway, so you can get to the sand beach in Machico and the urban offerings of Funchal in 10 minutes by car, and onward to other attractions beyond such as the piscinas naturais in Porto Moniz. As for the condo itself, it's a beautiful space in a quiet building. The place was pristine in its cleanliness and has an amazing view from every window. Isabel even left us a little treat to welcome us! Everything you need to be comfortable is there. While she wasn't able to meet us upon our arrival, her teenaged son Francisco came by in her place to give us the keys and explain everything, so everything was fine.

The only major issue--and it wasn't the owners' fault at all--was parking in the garage, namely the ramp down into it. It's short and steep with a tight curve, which Europeans might be used to, but as North Americans accustomed to wide entrances and straight or gradually curved descents to accommodate large vehicles, it was a bit of a nightmare for us with our mid-sized rental, resulting in a major scratch on the car that caused my son's mother, who was the driver for the whole trip, to be constantly stressed about driving for the rest of the trip (the car rental agent said this sort of thing happens quite frequently in Madeira). My advice if you're from Canada or the USA, in particular, is to rent a compact car that runs on gas, as the electric vehicle we rented was bottom heavy due to the battery, which not only made manoeuvring through the descent more difficult, but also made the car more sensitive in that the emergency brake kept being triggered on both the ascent and descent. Ultimately, to give us some peace of mind, we just paid the few Euro it cost to park on the street. The other thing I would advise is that you check the calendar to see what local events are on during the dates you're looking to book, as we hadn't, so didn't know that there was a gastronomy festival taking place that also featured loud live music on a stage until the wee hours of the morning during our first weekend there (we stayed a week), which was great during the day, but not so much at night when we wanted to get some quiet sleep those first couple of nights. Again, that wasn't the fault of the owners of the condo. Other than that, there were only a couple of very minor technical issues with a toilet, the stove, and the clothes dryer that I informed Isabel about, none of which affected their functionality.

Everything excellent. A great clean apartment in a beautiful vilage at excellent location to explore the island. The apartment is equiped with everythig one may need, the owner is super friendly and willing to help.

Excellent location with just a short walk to the sea front and restaurants etc. Isabel is very helpful and communication was excellent. The property itself is exceptional, very clean with lots of facilities to make a stay very enjoyable. Comfy bed, nice fluffy towels and a great walk in shower. Thank you

Beautiful apartment, spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed and lots of fluffy white towels. Everything you could possibly need for a two week stay. A short walk to all the bars and restaurants in the little town of Santa Cruz. The owner was very pleasant and helpful and the apartment was cleaned , beds and towels changed, mid stay. You can get to Funchal on the local bus, but Santa Cruz is a good place to stay if you have a car, easy access to the main road s around the island. Highly recommend this apartment, quiet, clean and comfortable.

If you hire a car, make sure it’s small, the garage entrance is tight!

The position is super close to the Funchal airport, and the landlord was super kind. We landed around 1 am, and she offered us a ride to the apartment even if it was super late. Then, she gave us information, and in the kitchen she left for us something for brekfast (because it was super late and no supermarket was open) and some typical products. Very kind, thank you!

The only drawback is the garage, which is a bit of difficult to enter in, but this does not really depend on the landlord.

We liked everything! Great apartment with everything you might need (2 shower rooms, iron, washing machine, coffee machine, Madeira wine and cookies..) in a good location with car garage. Next to good cafes, natural swimming pool, small shops..

Large, very clean apartment with everything you might need. Garage is also great since there arent many parking spaces in vicinity on the street (however garage is not very large, but for small/medium car is great - we had Opel Corsa hatchback, and it was just fine. I wouldnt recommend large car for Madeira anyway...). Host was very pleasant, responded to our every need.

We had hottest weather on Madeira in 40 years, so air conditioning would be nice, but we understand it is not usually needed on Madeira and is not standard in apartments on Madeira.

The location was amazing, extremely close to the airport, and pretty much right next to the bus stop. You’re in between Funchal and Machico! The hosts were extremely kind, they even picked me up from the airport and dropped me off for a 6am flight. This was probably the best place to stay as someone new to Madeira!

Isabel & Paulo were consummate hosts. We were picked up from the airport and when we arrived at the apartment a generous welcome pack awaited us. Isabel & Paulo were always at hand if we needed anything. The apartment exceeded our expectations and was equipped with everything we would need to be comfortable during our stay. It is situated perfectly as all amenities and the coast side promenade are within 2 minutes walk, many places to eat are only a stones throw away. It is on the second floor (there is a lift) so has a nice view, you are able to see the sea.
