It’s a great property and very suitable for a family. It can accommodate around 10 people easily. The staff lives in the house but they are pretty much invisible and you barely notice them. The food was excellent served by the chef was excellent and the staff was overall attentive.

It’s a 10/10 for me. As many of the properties in the area the road to get there is narrow and steep (nothing you can do about that).

Loved everything. I loved the service and how well we were cared for. Beds were comfy, rooms were spacious, water pressure was good. Beautiful location, beautifully kept, immaculately run and reasonably priced. I wish we could have stayed longer.

The aircon did go off in the middle of the night and the water also went off mid shower but both things were not really an issue at all.

Fantastisk udsigt, skøn mad og dejligt meget plads at boltre sig på. Børnene elskede at være der så meget, at de ikke engang savnede en pool. Det ville man måske gøre, hvis man skulle være der i længere tid. Vi var der i to dage og det var virkelig skønt.

Det er nok dejligst at have en driver, når man bor oppe i bjergene, da det er lidt udenfor byen. Det havde vi, og det fungerede supergodt.

Fantastic location and Staff. The guys working at the time were Manoj, Bandara, and Kannan. Super service. It was clear to us that they put a great deal of effort to keep the place spotless. Highly recommend the location.

The road was tricky. If you are coming in a big bus. This will not work for you. If its a small bus(like us), make sure you call the place and ask for clear directions with wider roads as there are multiple ways to get there. Regardless, I highly recommend the trek up for the views.

The property is absolutely lovely and has a charming vintage feel. If you’re a fan of Victorian architecture with a view, this is the perfect spot to stay. The house is immaculate and beautifully presented. The staff is incredibly friendly, and Kanna, Bandara, and Manoj took such great care of us. Their food is truly amazing. Highly recommended—we will return for another visit.

You have two options to get to the property. Google Maps shows the easiest and the trickiest route. If you’re driving a large van, it’s probably best to take the other route, which is a bit longer at 2 km but safer. You can use the first route with a small car, three-wheeler, or bike. The property itself is great. There’s nothing bad about it.

We had an amazing stay at The Manor Hanthana as a group of 10. The property is beautiful, spacious, and very well-maintained. The views are stunning, and the garden creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the couches in particular were incredibly cozy it really felt like a home away from home. The karaoke setup was a great addition and made our nights a lot of fun. A special thanks to Chef Manoj and the caretakers, who were extremely friendly and attentive. Everything was handled perfectly and on time. The BBQ night was a highlight of our stay, Manoj did a fantastic job. We also really appreciated being able to check in a few hours early, which made things much more convenient for our group. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and scenic getaway with great hospitality.

Everything. Beautiful property with wonderful decor located on top of the hill. Staff was very friendly, polite and helpful. The owner / manager was also very proactive and ensured that everything was ready was us at check-in. Food was excellent!

Clean, well equipped, friendly staff

We had a great stay. The house was spacious, spotlessly clean, and offered fantastic views. The staff were friendly and attentive, and on the occasions we asked them to prepare meals, the food was excellent. A large hotel is located nearby, which is convenient if you’d prefer to dine out, and Uber Eats also delivers without any issues.

Due to the layout of the house, staff presence sometimes felt unintentionally intrusive. For example, while we were watching a film one evening, conversations from the downstairs office were clearly audible until I politely mentioned it. This wasn’t a personal fault of the staff, but something future guests may want to be aware of. The villa is also quite remote, so having your own transport is advisable, or use Uber.

The villa itself is impeccably maintained, stylish, and surrounded by a tranquil environment that’s ideal for anyone seeking a calm retreat. The Manor Hanthana is a solid 10/10, and we’re already looking forward to returning. I wholeheartedly recommend this gem to anyone visiting Kandy, Sri Lanka for a peaceful, luxurious stay with unparalleled hospitality and mesmerizing views.

The property is like renting your own Vampire manor, the vibes are amazing, there is a Piano, tons of balconies, a party speaker with mics for karaoke, literally everything tha you could wish for is here, and it was super clean and almost new looking

The only thinbg is that the road for it is a little long and tricky, but other than that the property is perfect.

Location maybe a problem if driving by onself, but it offers a great view on the balcony.

Think it'll be better if the staff start working after guests wake up, or make it more quietly.
