Haret Nizwa hostel

Die Lage war sehr gut und man ist super schnell beim Fort und Souk. Es gab einen Kühlschrank im Zimmer.

Man konnte die Unterkunft nicht finden, es war keiner da. Es gab kein WLAN und das Bad hat wie ein Hühnerstall gestunken. Auf dem Bett waren viele schwarze Haare zu finden. Das Personal hat spät abends an unserer Tür geklopft und wollte daraufhin unser Zimmer von außen aufsperren. Eingriff in die Privatsphäre. Außerdem konnte das Personal so gut wie kein Englisch.

Good location, quiet, near the market.

Not clean, no staff around. Bathroom outside the room and very smelly. Bed fully wrapped in plastic. Fridge not clean and bad smell. No complimentary water, coffee, dates, nothing. No wifi. Overpriced.

No wifi, owner speaks English but his son doesn't (he was home at the time), no sing outside the hostel so it's hard to find. Lot of ants in the toilet. Bed was covered with plastic.

The location is inside the souq. It's very easy to walk around. The owner of the hostel is a very nice person.

Unfortunately the kitchen wasn't working and the bathroom wasn't clean. Also there is no wifi available.

Great location close to all the main attractions in Nizwa, staff friendly and helpful. Room was spacious.

Gave us 1 bed when we booked 2. No Wi-Fi, ants in the bathroom and bedroom.

The owner was very nice and helpful. The location is right in the center, walking distance to the souq and a lot of restaurants and street food. Very nice budget place to stay.

The room wasn't super clean and the shower was on top of the toilet. The water heater was in the room next door which we didn't know from the beginning. So very cold shower. But the host was super helpful and fixed it when we asked.

The staff were very accommodating and flexible and kind! Everything worked that we needed it to, comfortable, near to everything, parking space. Lovely outdoor area.

The owner of this hostel is very polite and nice , the place is simple and very close to the old market ..I like that there is an outside courtyard and small garden ..perfect place to enjoy cup of tea in the early morning

The place is nice and simple ..but I would be great if they take care of the small details such as offering shampoo , bottles of water...etc

Proximity to fort and souq

This property is deficient in many ways. Booking.com is clearly failing to check and control the quality of its properties, the 2nd time for me 6 months. I had to leave after the first of two days, found much better lodging in Nizwa. -- No work table / chair despite good space on one wall with electrical outlets already there. -- Hot water boiler but no cups or glasses -- Bed mattresses are covered with plastic, very uncomfortable. I took a comforter from a 2nd bed -- No waste basket -- No remote control for air conditioner -- Bad arrival experience. Google maps shows several streets which are pedestrian only, fails to show driving access -- Old neighborhood has narrow walking streets with weak or no lighting, men loitering On my first of two mornings, there was no hot water. Management promised to fix but it took a half hour. I respectfully requested a partial refund for (a) partial inadequate service first night (no water) and (b) cancellation of 2nd night. Management refused even a modest refund.

Hospitable owner. Made a coffee for us with dates.

Google navigation broght us with wrong road but owner met us and explained the way. The beds were in plastic cover

Location, trust, cleaniness.

Plastic under the sheet which makes you sweat, mosquiots in the room. Otherwise all good.

The location is near the fort & the souk, even near the bus station if u want to take bus to or from Muscat

Facilities are old, room is smelly

This place mas three rooms to offer. My one was a converted shed and it is actually well appointed, a d large although witm a slight tpuch of DIY. Large windows go into a small garden where a whole array of different birda roam araund.. So far so good, but the bathroom consists of a showerhead in the not all to appealiing toilet. This is really difficult to take.I have to admit tmat. I enjoyed my stay and, the location is great, but one has to be ptepared that, while tme room is pleasant, the nathroom is really on tme edge of acceptibility..

The location is nice

No signs identifying the place. Facilities are basic at best. But most importantly: Judging from the amount of different hair, the sheets have not been changed since at least three customers

The host us very good. When the ac was not working properly he immediately gave us a very large room with good cooling AC. He made sure that we feel comfortable

plastic cover/protector over mattress, it is uncomfortable to sleep on

Great location within easy walking distance to shops, souk, restaurants and fort. The host was very helpful when we had trouble locating the property. Lovely Arabian style gazebo in the courtyard. Spacious room with table and chairs. One of our rooms had direct access to the kitchen area. Reasonably quiet.

It was very difficult to find as it didn’t appear to be signed. Rubbish from previous travellers was left on a side unit and it was very evident that the sheets had not been changed either. We had difficulty sleeping on the very hard mattress. Wifi was extra.
