Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und gut gepflegt. Die Vermieterin ist unglaublich freundlich. Sie Unterkunft liegt etwas außerhalb von Ella, sodass es sehr ruhig ist. Man hat von der Veranda einen tollen Blick in den Dschungel. Frühstück und Abendessen waren immer super.

Het was er echt super schoon. Daarnaast was de host heel lief en vriendelijk. Het ontbijt was super uitgebreid. En we kregen ook een welkomstdrankje.

Everything was great! The host was really nice and helpful, her food was amazing, one of the best ones in Sri Lanka. We took a cooking class with her and even allowed our 3 friends that were staying somewhere else to join the class and stay for dinner. The coconut pancakes were my favourite! It’s at a beautiful spot, we a great view! The sunrise from the room is unreal. You need a tuktuk to move around Ella, and they provide the service at a better price. It’s a really quiet spot, and you can see a lot of animals from the balcony. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable, and has a big hot shower. Really recommend staying here if you’re in Ella.

Tolles Erlebnis das man unbedingt mitnehmen sollte! Es war ein wirklich schöner Aufenthalt mit ganz besonderen Erlebnissen wie das Gemeinsame Kochen mit der Gastgeberin. Die Lage ist sehr nah an Ella und die Familien fährt einem jeder Zeit nach Ella runter und holt auch wieder ab. Also da dish kein Problem und schränkt auch nicht ein. Wäsche kann man auch waschen lassen und alles für wirklich faire Preise!

Een heerlijk verblijf met geweldige zorg van onze gastvrouw We hebben een fijne tijd gehad dankzij de goede zorgen van onze gastvrouw. Het heerlijke eten wat ze bereidde en de fijne, goed verzorgde locatie maakten ons verblijf erg aangenaam. Het was leuk om naar de mooie vogels rondom ons appartement te kijken. Het warme water uit zowel de kraan als de douche werkte prima, wat een fijne extra was. Daarnaast hielpen de chauffeurs en de gastvrouw ons goed met het regelen van al onze excursies, zoals de treinrit naar Nanu Oya. Kortom, een fijne plek om Ella te beleven.

De homestay lligt op een hele fijne, stille plek. Wij hebben vooral genoten van het terras, met zowel een tafel als zithoek en uitzicht op eekhoorns en apen. De eigenaresse is super vrolijk en behulpzaam, en zorgt voor heerlijk ontbijt en diner. Ook de kookcursus vonden wij een leuke activiteit. Deze plek was ons favoriete verblijf van onze hele reis!

The apartment has everything you need and the bed is very comfortable. The family makes you feel incredibly welcome. They are extremely friendly and help you in a relaxed, non-intrusive way, making your stay even more enjoyable and helping you discover all the highlights Ella has to offer. The breakfast is fantastic and different every day. You can also request dinner, which is of excellent quality. I would absolutely recommend staying here!

Ein Highlight war der große Balkon; er war der perfekte Ort, um zu sitzen, zu entspannen und die Aussicht zu genießen. Sehr empfehlenswert für alle, die eine komfortable und ruhige Unterkunft suchen!“

The Bliss Homestay was a peaceful stay. The owners were very hospitable offering many services like tours, tuk tuk rides, dinners (with many dishes) in addition to the fantastic breakfasts & lovely accomodation

The only small downside was the distance away from the town but it was a short tuk, tuk ride away & was very peaceful

Glücklich darüber, genau dieses Homestay gebucht zu haben, stimmen wir gerne in die vielfältigen Lobeshymnen auf Niranjala und 'The Bliss' ein! Wir haben uns hier sehr sehr wohl gefühlt und es genossen, uns abseits des touristischen Trubels von Ella (...und dennoch zentral...) insbesondere kulinarisch verwöhnen zu lassen. Danke, liebe Niranjala!!!

Da gab's absolut nichts!!

This was by far one of our favourite places we stayed in Sri Lanka. The beds are comfortable, hot shower, we did a cooking class, dinners and breakfast were incredible with so much food. The whole family are so friendly and went out of their way to be accomodating. Its such a peaceful location, outside Ella town but we always had access to a tuktuk driver with very reasonable prices. Laundry service was also available and easily organised.

We woke a few times to dogs barking but this is pretty common in Sri Lanka.

Wir hatten ganz wunderbare 4 Übernachtungen. Es ist herrlich ruhig und höchstens die Vögel und manchmal die Affen sind zu hören. In die Stadt kommt man mit einem Miet-Roller oder TukTuk in 10 Minuten. Dafür ist man abseits der Hektik und des Lärms mit Blick ins Grüne. Das Zimmer ist toll, die Betten groß, gemütlich und mit Moskito-Netzen. Die Terrasse ist herrlich, hier lässt es sich morgens und bis zum frühen Nachmittag in der Sonne aushalten. Jeden Morgen gibt es ein super reichhaltiges Frühstück, immer mit Abwechslung. Frischer Fruchtsaft und frische Früchte sind immer dabei. Das Highlight ist die herzliche Gastgeberin. Sie ist immer für die Gäste da - es gibt übrigens nur das eine Appartement. Wir haben am Abend zweimal gleich hier gegessen - traditionelle Sri Lanka Küche - dafür muss man in kein Restaurant, es war köstlich. Am letzten Abend haben wir dann noch einen gemeinsamen Kochkurs gemacht und Reis mit 7 Currys gezaubert. Ein toller Aufenthalt, absolute Empfehlung!

Een fantastische homestay. Een super lieve gastvrouw die helpt met het regelen van een tuktuk naar het centrum en op verzoek een heerlijk diner kan bereiden. Ook het ontbijt was perfect! Alles was schoon en een fijne warme douche. Comfortabele bedden! Echt een aanrader als je van plan bent om Ella te bezoeken. Ella Rock ligt redelijk in de buurt en is lopend vanuit de homestay te bezoeken.

Tolle Unterkunft mit ganz lieber Gastgeberin. probiert unbedingt auch das Abendessen, sehr zu empfehlen! Auch das Frühstück ist top und sehr abwechslungsreich. Die Hoppers waren fantastisch! Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt.

Positive: Wonderful breakfast. A lovely owner and a great cook. She organizes and helps you perfectly and always for a very good price. The location is rural and a little way out of Ella (Ella rock is 30 minutes closer, as from Ella), so it is a very quite and wonderful place. If you want to have Ella-Party-Time it is the wrong place.

Negative: Low water pressure in the shower. A slight musty smell in the room - but with this high humidity in the mountains it is normal.

Toto ubytování byl ráj na zemi. V krásné přírodě nad městem. Paní majitelka se o nás perfektně starala, vše nám doporučila, objednala dopravu, byla i možnost vyprání oblečení, což jsme při našem putování ocenili :-) Její kuchyně byla excelentní, lepši rice and curry jsme za celý pobyt tady nejedli.

Tout était parfait : très calme, la terrasse entourée de végétation, avec les singes qui se baladent d arbre en arbre, le confort de la literie. La propriétaire était très accueillante et nous a fait nous sentir vraiment à l’aise. Elle propose des petits déjeuners avec des spécialités délicieuses, tout comme de très bons dîners. Le logement est situé sur les hauteurs de Ella, à l’écart de l’agitation. L’accent au centre est possible par une balade agréable et facile de 45 min. La propriétaire propose aussi des services de tuk tuk très efficaces pour aller/revenir d’Ella ou se balader dans la région. Je ne peux que recommander cet endroit !

In dieser Unterkunft wird man wirklich glücklich - so wie der Name BLISS schon sagt. Weg vom lauten Ella haben wir hier Natur und Stille genossen! Vor dem Fenster turnen Affen und bunte Vögel durch die Bäume. Teeplantagen um die Ecke. Für uns ein Traum. Das Zimmer ist bequem und die riesige Terrasse perfekt. Die Gastgeberin ist herzlich und kocht hervorragend. Unbedingt auch dort Abendessen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Man kommt als Gast und geht als Freund.

Beautifully set in the jungle in the mountains of Ella, close to all local attractions. Our room was large and very comfortable, including a hair dryer and fridge. The host was so accommodating and made us feel so welcomed. We really hope to stay again next year. Such a beautiful family.

The place is a little bit out of centar what is perfect because it's quiet and you are like in the jungle. There are monkey outside. The apartment was clean and nice. The owner is really nice and friendly and the breakfast is great.

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad bij the Bliss Homestay. De gastvrouw is ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam, ze doet er alles aan om je verblijf zo prettig mogelijk te maken. Nette kamer, prima bedden met klamboe en van alle faciliteiten voorzien. We hebben ook lekker gegeten, zowel het ontbijt als diner was heerlijk. Tevens een leuk balkon waar je buiten kunt zitten en kunt genieten van alle dieren (aapjes, vogels, eekhoorntjes)

Niranjala's place was a wonderful, comfortable homestay. We loved everything about this place. The peaceful surroundings, the amazing food, and the friendly host and her family. Niranjala presented us with tasty breakfasts and dinners and gave the best cooking class. She has promised to answer any whatsapp message if we need advice when we are home trying to replicate her amazing food. That's the type of host she is. A private little room in the hills of Ella. Couldn't ask for more.

A lovely homestay - Niranjala made us feel very welcome. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Amazing dinners & breakfasts! It was really nice to be 10 mins away from the hustle and bustle of Ella town, in the peaceful hills. Also very close to the start of the Ella Rock hike, which was ideal. Thank you so much.

Niranjala and her family are the most welcoming hosts we had in Sri Lanka. The property is extremely clean, quiet and cozy and offers great views. Further the homemade food was the BEST we had in Sri Lanka so far. We cannot understand prior comments regarding the location, as the property is easily accessible with only 3 min foot walk from a quiet road. Niranjala organized transport for us at all times.

We had a very comfortable stay at this family run home stay. We were greeted by the most wonderful hosts and had the bests breakfasts prepared for us each morning. The room was very large, clean and comfortable. The house is up in the hills with a wonderful feel of being in the jungle. A tuktuk trip is required to get into Ella town. Thank you again for the stay!

We had such a wonderful stay at Bliss! It is a beautiful homestay tucked away on the hill and away from the noisy town, surrounded by gorgeous & peaceful jungle. We had visits from monkeys and a giant squirrel right outside our room. The room itself was very clean and comfortable, with nice beds and a lovely terrace outside to sit and relax. This is a family run business, and we were welcomed so warmly and with such kindness. The hospitality was wonderful, and the home cooked meals were absolutely delicious. We truly loved everything! Thank you for the beautiful experience 🧡

We had such a great stay here. The hosts are just absolutely lovely and organized everything you ask them for. Her food is incredible too! It’s really good value for money. The little balcony area is very cute and feels like you are directly in the jungle.

Wonderful breakfast and lovely owner. The location is definitely rural and a long way out of Ella itself which may suit some people. The driveway is steep.

Incredibly hospitality and Niranjala is so helpful. Cooking class was fantastic with a very god teacher. We learn the basics of rice and curry dishes. When we sat down at the table, there we enjoy 7 incredible dishes. She Help us to arrange a trip to Secret Waterfall there we could take a fresh bath.

The Bliss Homestay is a wonderful place to stay and I highly recommend staying there. We stayed for 2 nights and the room was clean and spacious with a large balcony area. The hosts are incredibly kind and went to a huge effort to help me celebrate my partner’s birthday. They are always happy to help with anything you need. The breakfast is delicious. We loved our stay and would go back in a heartbeat!

We had such a lovely stay at Niranjala’s place. From the moment we arrived we felt right at home. The accomodation is cozy, clean and super comfortable. The breakfast she cooks is amazing and there’s plenty of it too. We walked into town along the train tracks in around 40 minutes. We loved watching the sky change colours in the morning light and listening to the sounds of the birds and the forest really made our stay as relaxing as possible. We were lucky enough to try Niranjala’s cooking in the evening- it was the most delicious Sri Lankan food we have ever eaten. Honestly everything from start to finish was just excellent, we were really well taken care of.

We have liked everything. The room is new and clean, the beds are very confortable, wifi is working and the view from the balcony is beautiful, looking directly to the jungle, since is in high situated on the hill. The host is so kind and welcoming, but also so professional. She has helped us arranging a tuktuk for the two days of our stay at a honest price, and she helped us with the laundry. She has also proposed to clean my shoes as it was not possible at the local laundry !!! We have had the best Sri Lankan dinner of our stay, freshly home-made. We recommend it 100%.

We had a rocky start arriving in Ella, booking a first property which really wasn't up to standard. We hurriedly had to find another property to book, and by pure chance, Niranjala had just had a cancellation and had space for us! We were met by Niranjala and one of her daughters, and within minutes knew this was the place for us! You are the only people staying on this property so it feels lovely and private. Room was clean and cool and the bathroom is large with hot water. A light duvet is provided for the cooler nights in Ella! We had breakfast each morning, which varied each time. All was amazing and so much was provided, we didn't need lunch! We also ate dinner one night, and on another, had a cooking class where we learnt to cook 5 different types of curry! I'd highly recommend doing this! We chose to rent a scooter, which Niranjala helped arrange, for exploring Ella. If I could score this property higher than a 10, I would! If you are reading this, just book...you won't be disappointed! Thank you so much to Niranjala and your lovely family, you really made our stay so enjoy!

The location was lovely and peaceful and well located to be able to explore Ella and surrounding area. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony surrounded by jungle. The host was so lovely, always smiling and she went over and above to ensure we had a good stay, organising Tuk tuks, giving us instructions to Ella rock and helping when one of us had a migraine. We did the cooking class with her which was a highlight. The bed was very comfy and room was spotless. The breakfasts on the balcony were delicious and very generous. Highly recommend staying here.

We stayed 4 Nights at Bliss Homestay and absolutely enjoyed it. The room and bathroom is simple, yet the beds were super comfortable. Our Highlight was the Food, that Niranjala prepared freshly every day. The breakfast was so delicious, so was the Dinner with plenty of different Sri lankian Currys. We also had a cooking class at Niranjalas kitchen, which we highly recommend. Everyone at this Place was really friendly, welcoming and helpful. Thanks for this lovely experience ♥️

Been travelling in Sri Lanka for nearly one month, staying in an array of guesthouses and homestays, and this was the absolute highlight! And what was that? Because of the utmost care and friendliness of the gorgeous host and her family!! I felt so taken care of, more than any other place. Helping me with TukTuk arrangements for seeing some of the local sites, and serving the most incredible breakfasts and dinners. Do not miss having a dinner, it really is worth it. The room is simple and clean and comfortable; with relaxing balcony overlooking jungle, which I loved. While there was no AC, I didn't feel I needed any, in fact I left the door open in the night and temperature was perfect Location wise I loved being up from the buzz in Ella town. I walked into town on one occasion, but otherwise getting TukTuk there and back is not an issue. If you want a really authentic and homely experience, quiet and away from the buzz, and to be taken care of, definitely stay at Bliss Homestay!

We stayed for 3 nights and it was just the best. First thing - the place - clean, comfortable, quiet with great view from terrace. Second - food - tasty, fresh made. Location: Located in the hills of Ella it is isolated from the otherwise hectic Ella Downtown. Is very close to trek starting points and 5min away from Downtown by tuk-tuk. Accommodation: This Homestay is nestled in the trees with a comfortable beds and a great exterior space. Service: What an exceptional service! Heartwarming service from the whole family, always available and ready to help for activity organisation to organising transport and more. Food is incredible! Thank you

This was a peaceful, relaxing place to rest, away from the hubbub of the city. The room was very clean and the beds were quite comfortable. Our host was readily available to help with any need. She arranged a tuk tuk driver at a reasonable rate into the city, gave helpful restaurant recommendations and cooked delicious meals. We ate two breakfasts and two dinners here. The meals were large enough to feed a family. Terrific Sri Lankan food. Very affordable. Highly recommended!

Our host was amazing throughout our stay and was always available via WhatsApp to answer any questions we had. The property is situated in a quiet area with nice views over the mountains. We enjoyed an amazing dinner on our first night after a long day of travel and breakfast each morning was delicious! The host and her family were so thoughtful and caring and we loved Rex their family dog!

Very nice and helpful host. It is like you are having your own house. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. Beds comfy and everything very clean. It is very nice to sit outside on the terrace and watch the ‚jungle life. We enjoyed it and would stay again.

I had the pleasure of staying at this family-run hotel and I am extremely satisfied! The cleanliness was impeccable, which deserves special recognition. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home with their kindness and professionalism. The interiors of the hotel are modern and elegantly furnished. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, high-quality service, and a personal touch!

The family were very welcoming and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived in their newly finished accommodation. It was so lovely and comfortable. They brought us a pot of tea and biscuits, and we sat on the balcony and admired the view. Nothing was too much trouble. The meals were amazing, and excellent value. We had an excellent stay at the Bliss Homestay and would happily come back! Everything was super clean, a spacious room and bathroom, delicious breakfasts and dinners with a lot of food and variety. The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet, you only hear birds and cikadas at night. The little terrace in front of the room has a great view and the property is surrounded by green. The host was super friendly and helpful and gave us a lot of suggestions for stuff to do around. We can only recommend the Bliss Homestay.

The wonderful host has such an incredible smile and laugh. She made us feel at home straight away and was constantly offering us tea. The provided breakfasts were absolutely massive and delicious, and the one dinner we had at Bliss was equally good. The room was simple but spacious and clean, and you take breakfast on an outdoor table looking over the beautiful forest and beyond. The homestay is a 10 minute Tuktuk ride out of Ella but you are given the number of a fantastic driver who will take you anywhere you need to go in the area at any time.

Our host and her family were the best! They were so friendly and whenever you need their help, they were there!

Wonderful homestay in the calm and beautiful mountains of Ella! We can recommend 100% this cosy place with a great and tasty breakfast, cooked from the best, friendliest and most helpful host. We stayed 2 more days because we enjoyed it so much. Also a private cooking class was arranged only for us. We will come back for sure 😌

We arrived and loved the place and the family immediately. The room is separate from the main house, large clean and a fabulously comfortable bed. Breakfast is served when it suits you and is utterly delicious 😋 If you want to go into Ella a tuk tuk is arranged for you, and to get you back again. Also, great advise about things to do in the area. We loved it so much that we extended our stay by 2 nights. We were invited to the family new year celebrations and treated like royalty, what a privilege 👏

The facilities were so wonderful. It was simple, yet comfortable nestled in the hills. We really enjoyed how peaceful it was with trees and mountains to gaze out at. The highlight, though, was the kindness and care given to us by Niranjala and her family. They made sure we had everything we needed, and even provided a cooking class so we could learn how to make Sri Lankan dishes. We were so happy to spend a couple nights at Bliss Homestay. They really know what hospitality means.

The place was really clean and the bed was super comfy! The best thing about living here is the family ❤️ they were super warm and welcoming, they even invited us to attend a festival called Pera Hera. They took such good care of us and it was an unforgettable experience 🥹 breakfast was super scrumptious as well!!! They took care of all our transport, it was so convenient! Oh and it’s in close proximity to the famous Ella rock. If you’re looking for a nice and quaint place in Ella, with the kindest family, please do yourself a favour and stay with them. I highly recommend, definitely 11/10!!!!!😍🥰❤️

Outstanding hospitality and warm welcome from the whole family. The room was very comfortable with a lovely hot shower. The views over the private balcony were stunning and we enjoyed a very delicious breakfast and dinner there. There is just one room so you can be sure to have a very peaceful stay at the Bliss Homestay and to be very well looked after!

This homestay was sheer bliss like its name .It is run by an absolutely charming Sri Lankan family. It was the cleanest , most comfortable place we stayed in during our two weeks in Sri Lanka.The lady was so welcoming and just could not do enough for us. The bedding and towels were spotlessly clean and brand new-we were only the 14th people to have stayed there.The mattress and pillows were so comfortable.It is in a beautiful peaceful garden setting on a hillside with mountain views.As for the breakfast it was a feast of loveliness with fresh juice ,fresh fruit, omelette and -as we had requested a Sri Lankan breakfast- the lady very kindly made us coconut milk rice, coconut rotis , egg hoppers, a delicious onion relish ,Dahl and a spicy sambal . We didn’t want to leave

Quiet place with lush green view from balcony. Perfect place if you need to rest after intense inteniary. The family has been very hospitable helping me to arrange transportation, visit to Ella rock and providing me with large delicious local style dinner and breakfast

One of the best hospitality I received during my srilanka trip. It was away from city location but worth staying there. I would recommend people to visit such places because they have amazing view. Food provided from them is best. Home made food which we loved a lot. Thanks for taking care of us

Best hospitality. + The view and the atmosphere around the room was really amazing. Also it has the fullest privacy as we expected and the host was so polite and she made our day with her delicious breakfast.

Everything was perfect.

They provided the best breakfast we had on our entire trip with wonderful pancakes, fresh fruit, and local cuisine. The staff offered us TukTuk transportation around Ella at very reasonable prices and were always available and helpful. The internet was a bit spotty at times, but I guess that is normal for being way out in mountainous nature, and it is a good trade off for the excellent view and being within walking distance of Ella Rock
