Nous avons eu la chance d'être upgrade et d'avoir un logement plus grand. Le quartier est parfait, vous pouvez facilement faire une petite balade à vélo (qui sont à dispo). Le personnel est vraiment très intentionné. Honnêtement je n'ai rien de négatif à dire

Het personeel is behulpzaam, het was super super schoon prachtige kamer met alles erop en eraan. Mooie tuin, planten en verlichting. Het ontbijt was ook top.

We miste thee en koffie om zelf te zetten. De mooie locatie heeft ook nadelen het blijkt te liggen achter een deadhouse en toevallig was die avond een bijeenkomst die tot diep in de nacht met veel mensen best veel geluiden maakten. Daarnaast is er een Indische tempel naast die elke ochtend van 5.30u tot 6.15u harde muziek met oproep gebed te horen is. Mijn partner sliep er wel doorheen dus het is per persoon verschillend.

Batticaloa and Leena Holiday Home are great choices for travellers and holiday makers who are looking for an authentic local experience and don't need to be in the protected environment of a tourist hotel. For people making a first visit to an Asian country there would be quite a bit to adjust to. There were many things to like. We were warmly welcomed by Noyli, one of the staff, with cold face towels and cold drinks. Throughout our stay, the property owner was constantly helpful and responsive to occasional questions on WhatsApp. We had the property to ourselves. The property itself is very attractive, with grass outside (mostly a kind of carpet grass), mature trees, bougainvillea etc. Breakfasts were great. They were Sri Lankan, for example, string hoppers with a fish curry and accompaniments, and fruit, e.g. papaya. (You can choose to have breakfast included when booking.) The location was about 2 miles from Kallady Beach and about 3 miles from the centre of Batticaloa. In practice, this was not far away as Leena lent us two bicycles which we used a lot (but you need some courage on the roads) and it is easy to call a 'Tuk-Tuk' - i.e. a motorized rickshaw, with the 'PickMe' app. Most trips we made around town cost about £1.

There was very little that we didn't like. There is a Hindu temple about a hundred metres away which played Hindu music at about 6 a.m. for perhaps an hour most mornings. Mostly, the volume was not very high but one morning it was a bit annoying.

Great stay. Very friendly staffs. It was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything needed. The location was quiet and convenient, offering good privacy. Excellent value for money—would definitely recommend.

The accommodation was perfect for us. Quiet location, exceptionally clean and wonderful service.We really appreciated the cold face washer on arrival. The free bike hire was really handy and made exploring the town very easy.

Eigentlich nichts! Man muss wissen das es in der Stadt nichts wirklich gibt. Alles sehr schmutzig in der näheren Umgebung. Das Haus ist aber wirklich gut! Ein eigener kleiner Garten gehört dazu. Frühstück wird auf Wunsch sehr liebevoll zubereitet.

Staff: Exellent. Friendly and helpfull. Location: located just a bit aside from the mainroad, so it is truly quiet and walking distance from the main road. Unless of course u like to party. Perfect to relax! Villa: super clean, huge rooms, beautiful! Small, beautiful garden to relax. Delicious breakfast. Manager: Super manager: gave us all the info we needed. So happy we had this villa for a couple of days! If you need a place to relax and enjoy, this is the place! Enjoy❣️

A comfortable modern 2-bedroom serviced apartment with garden, located in an elegant villa in Kallady (a southern suburb of Batticaloa). The apartment has aircon and fans. The kitchen is not designed for home cooking, but tasty breakfasts and dinners can be delivered. The apartment is quiet at night until a 6am temple call. Laundry can be arranged. The property is some distance from the city centre, so the villa’s bicycles are useful. The host is attentive.

Joseph is a really great host and very easy to communicate with. The property was really nice. It was extremely clean and had all the amenities. Noelline, who was there at the property was extremely friendly and helpful. They arranged an amazing Sri Lankan breakfast for us as well. Will definitely be staying there again when I visit Batticaloa.

Le logement était très propre, au calme. Joseph nous a beaucoup aidé tout au long de notre cours séjour. Il nous a organisé une superbe journée détente dans un hotel haut de gamme à Passikudah, des déplacements en Van, des recommandations de restaurants, des livraisons de petits déjeuner très copieux. Joseph est très gentil et très réactif. Il a rendu notre séjour très agréable

Nous recommandons vivement cet endroit.. Nous sommes une famille avec 3 adolescents.

Lovely location on a quiet residential street, but still very close to the centre of town. Appartment was very nicely presented, and the cold face cloths on arrival were a lovely touch.

I highly recommend this place for a peaceful family stay. The rooms are very nice and everything is very clean. The owner and staff are very welcoming and caring.

Prior to our arrival, Joseph connected with us to find out if we had any special requirements. Stemming from that, dinner was to be arranged for us on arrival. On the day, we received a pin (location) and WiFi codes. Joseph connected with us to get an idea about arrival time. Upon arrival, we were made to feel so welcome. The rooms had been cooled down in advance and the entire unit was spotless. Dinner was served on time. The food was home made and outstanding! We really enjoyed the local pittu and prawn curry. Dinner was priced at Rs. 2000/- for two generous portions. We had a restful sleep and were able to get everything we needed ready for our day ahead in the well-equipped kitchenette. Our only regret is that we could only spend one night at this charming, cozy abode as we had to head out. We will be back!

Location was very convenient and easy to access to major site seeing,restaurants and resorts. Specifically lagoon area and beaches. Also very quiet and peaceful. Ample of room for family. Very nice apartment on a pleasant avenue away from the busy main street. Good location. Very clean and comfortable. Excellent remote help from Joshua, who took care of everything - even reserving bus seats for our trip from Trinco. An interesting area to explore. We recommend the heritage museum to learn about the Arab settlers to this coastline. The only improvement suggestion is to provide a hob in the kitchen. We prepared our own cold breakfast, but it would be difficult to cook a proper meal.

The villa is newly built. It is sparkling clean, the service is extremely good. In the kitchenette there is an air fryer, small electric stove and microwave. The host is attentive and helpful and speaks great English. Beautiful backyard to layback. We will definitely come back here if we are around. Mind that location is a bit off site but this was not a problem for us as we had a car.

Our stay at this accommodation in Sri Lanka was one of the best we’ve had during our trip. What truly impressed us was how well the property caters to the needs of European travelers, something that isn’t always common in the country. Everything—from the shower to the bed, pillows, and toiletries—met the highest standards. The accommodation also featured a spacious living room, which we used for breakfast and for working, making it feel like a true home away from home. We had convenient parking right next to the house, which added to the overall ease and comfort of our stay. A huge thank you to the owner for being incredibly helpful, promptly answering all our questions, and supporting us from the moment we made the booking. I should also mention that everything in the accommodation is brand new, making the experience even better.

The host of this property was in contact with us prior to the booking, was very helpful and allowed us to check in and check out whenever we wanted which was helpful as we wanted to leave at 5am and hosts were happy to arrange this for us!! House was very clean and the workers there were very welcoming! Had our own parking place and felt safe in the house, our driver was also given a private place to stay which was very helpful too! I would 100% recommend!

We liked everything about this property!

The host treated us as if we were guests of the grand hotel. I felt as if I had a personal concierge. There was contact with the owner all the time via WhatsApp. He showed interest in whether everything was ok. There is the option to buy very tasty food - no point in eating out - at our host's the breakfasts and lunches were phenomenal and all on site and at the hour we wanted. Sensational avocado cocktail - the best drink I had in Sri Lanka. The host helped us with finding transport to the beach. I had a need to go to the hairdresser and our host organised a haircut for me - he then drove me over and acted as a translator between me and the hairdresser. And then he drove me back to my accommodation by motorbike. In addition, he constantly showed interest in whether we needed anything. He was a great inroller regarding Sri Lanka. The rooms were very clean, air conditioning in each bedroom. A comfortable sofa in the living room. Garden at your disposal. If you are passing through in Batticaloa and need accommodation I would confidently recommend this place and the host. My sincere and warm greetings to him.

The wonderful and swift communication with us. The accommodation itself was modern and comfortable. It felt like home - Harshan’s team was careful and considerate, his mother prepared incredible Tamil food, when we asked for laundry service, Harshan immediately looked after it. The communication via WhatsApp before, during and after the stay was impeccable. Every little detail was taken care of. Cannot recommend this stay enough!

It was really a great stay at Leena Holiday Home. The host very attendant helpful. We highly recommend for a comfortable stay. The washroom was excellent and clean.

The Manager Harshan and staff were exceptional, Harshan organised anything we needed, and promptly, The tuktuk drivers he arranged were great and very helpful. We can't speak highly enough of Leena House.

Our stay was perfect at Leena Holiday Home. Everything was new and very clean. The rooms were very comfortable. There was cold AC in the rooms and an excellent new bathroom/shower with possibility to take a long hot shower. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and arranged an incredible home cooked Sri Lankan dinner for our family as well as a delicious traditional local breakfast. They even arranged same day laundry service for us. Our stay exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend to stay here.

The morning noice at 6am woke us up

We arrived very early and were able to check in instantly. After that we got a lot of fruits (banana, watermelon, mango) for free. The house was very clean. You could see that we were only the third guests, because everything was very new and modern. The owner was very friendly and helped us with everything instantly. We could also rent bikes for our stay.

We spent an absolutely amazing two days at this villa. All the furniture is new, comfortable bed, soft pillows, the house and grounds are clean and well-groomed. The hosts are very responsive, if something was missing, they provided everything. We recommend this place for a long stay for families and couples in love. We will definitely come back here!
