Very spacious rooms, close to Mattanchery and Jew town.
Room is really spacious and clean. Helpful host. Close to Jew Road and other attractions near by. Walkable distance.
Found it a bit expensive.
Very comfortable rooms, nice location near Jew town, easy check-in, good breakfast, nice host.
There was a slightly musty smell in the bathroom when we checked in, but it disappeared in some time.
The House was beautiful, - colonial-style, with wonderful antiques..The room was large and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable and shower was goid. The location was perfect for me. Having stayed some days in Fort Kochi, I moved here for more peace and quiet. Its walking distance to Jew Town and only R100 for a tuk tuk into Fort Kochi. The best thing for me were yhe hosts, who made me feel at home there. Mustard was very welcoming, organised and swrved a famtastic breakfast every day.. The owner, Lukman was charming, interesting and knowledgeable I enjoyed our conversations. A lovely homestay!
breakfast was bought from outside, not made in the kitchen of the property. however the owner and staff were both absolutely fantastic.
the place felt run down and make shift.
The location for Jew Town was excellent. Staff and owner were welcoming and made our stay extra nice. The room was big and spacious and clean. A choice of local cooked food was given for breakfast which was great. Although Fort Kochi was a reasonable walk , tuk tuks were always available.
Breakfast is good but in view of location little beat good.
Behaviour of staff
The location is really great - on a quiet road but walking distance to the Jewish area. The staff were very kind, helpful, and accommodating. They helped me check in early and arranged a taxi to pick me up for the airport. The main building is also quite beautiful.
The room I had booked was in a separate annex which had slightly poor facilities. The shower was not attached to the room and had such poor water pressure that I had to use the provided bucket/cup (which does also work fine, just not ideal). The room itself only had 1 very bright fluorescent light and both power outlets were not near the bed. Completely fine for one night, but for a longer stay I would choose one of the more deluxe rooms in the main building.
Excellent homestay and very kind host
The residence is large and spacious, as is the room. A very comfortable space, very close to Jew town and walking distance to lots of the local sights.
I felt the communication might be improved with a little more effort at initial contact. However, once I was at the residence, I was able to discuss my needs directly with the staff.
Owner is very helpful in everything, very good English speaker and has all information tourist need. It was my best stary in India among twelve other hotels in different cities
The hosts were incredible, and the breakfasts they served me each morning were delicious.

Property is well maintained and has many antiques.
Rooms are big. But air conditioning is not well enough to properly cool the rooms.
Loved the heritage vibes and the interior asthetics
Homely Atmosphere,very clean place,Good facilities
We loved the property and the people. They were very helpful in terms of guiding us around jew town and with information on different activates. The rooms are large and spacious, clean and the location is quite and peaceful.
There is nothing we did not like, but here are somethings we think could have made the experience better. We stayed for 4 nights and wished the room had 2 armchairs instead of one. A little seating for two would have made the in room experience better. Breakfast was plain bread with butter and jam, eggs. An option to toast would have been great.
The interiors and rooms are very spacious
Good heritage hall
The heritage hall
Well maintained property. Very clean and the staff were good.
Located in a residential area away from the centre.
Large clean rooms , very spacious
Bit lacking in charm or warmth. Not a typical “ home stay”. Breakfast was a not very appetising fruit salad, tiny but tasty omelette and horrid processed sliced bread warmed up. We skipped it on the third morning.
Really peaceful vibes inside and around the building despite it being in the city. Very spacious rooms. Unassuming and comfortable.
Nothing I didn’t like
Nice staff who were happy to help with things like taxi booking Comfortable room, in a quiet area
Interesting building
room was very basic - issues with electrics and a/c neighborhood a bit rundown very poor breakfast
It’s a great property, the staff are friendly and Ali is very helpful

Breakfast and location
It’s a heritage property, so nice to be living before time.
I think breakfast could be better.
Hospitality Breakfast Heritage
The vast space in each room. The closeness to Jew town. The courteous staff. Especially Mushtak Khan, the Manger and Ali, the assistant.
The approach to the Home.
Great ambience. Clean Rooms and Bathroom. Beautiful place. The place looks as real and good as the pictures.
Well maintained property
The confort and simplicity of the place. The kindness of staff. Historic building
location and size of the room...furnishings were not of good quality
It's a beautiful property calm and quite
Massively huge rooms. Just unreal. Such a beautiful property. This is in a quiet neighborhood but not too far from Synagogue. We met the owner. He is such a gentleman. Their bathroom is the size of a standard bedroom and their bedroom is the size of a living room.
The ambience
Nothing as such
From booking till checkout everything was fine. The property itself is beautiful with a traditional design. The room as well as its washroom was very spacious, clean and airy. Staffs were friendly. Breakfast served was western but it was good and simple. We loved it.
Though its highly dependent on ones selection of property and if we want to nitpick we can say Fort Kochi beach is a little far. Need to rely on a vehicle.
The property was a nice building with old architecture. It was clean, staff helpful
The location was a bit shady
Lovely old Heritage building with interesting curios. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.
Nothing
An attractive building with a large clean bedroom with AC and wifi. A bit of an odd location though, in a quiet residential suburb about 20 minutes walk south of the touristy Palace area which has several restaurants (or 5 minutes in a tuktuk). However, there are no nearby restaurants apart from a couple of small local cafes on a busy main road 5 minutes walk away. An hour's walk, or 15 minutes in a tutuk (Rs150) to Fort Cochin. Breakfast is included.
Large room. Friendly staff.
Slightly difficult to find as there is no board.
Proximity to jew town mattanchery palace.heritage feel of homestay.
Breakfast adequate but could have more simple variety, such as omelettes. Clean and spacious, friendly staff.
The place is very well maintained and aesthetic exterior interiors and large sized rooms.Veey quiet locality.
Wouldn't say "not like" but would categorise under slight additions or improvement. Option for a authentic Kerala breakfast or basic breakfast. When we went just bread jam and boiled egg was option. One issue we faced was flush problem in the one of the rooms we stayed, had to call Anil multiple times in a span of just 2 days. Some basic add on like 1.screens in bathroom windows (one room had but the other didn't) 2. A plastic stool atleast in the bathroom to sit at the bath area, would be helpful for senior citizens and also people with some back issues. 3. Soap stand in the bath area.
Yes
Airy room
Breakfast was a bit of a joke: 3 small bananas, 1 hardboiled egg and toast that was toasted hours before. No housekeeping at all during 3 day stay.
