We enjoyed our stay and our spa treatments and breakfast in bed in the morning.

The room is a bit dated. The pool area smells of chlorine. The smell is so strong it takes your breath away. The bath tub in our room had mould around it.

Hot Water not always available for making tea Graeme’s bar not always stock up and having to wait for eggs

Only stayed due to location for nearby event. For the price we had to pay it was terrible. Stayed in better quality Travelodge. Next time would rather stay further away for half the price and twice the standards.

Die Unterkunft hat ihre besten Jahre gesehen. Die Bilder entsprechen leider nicht dem, was man vorfindet. Für 240 €. Die Nacht kann man zu mindestens sauber halten und modernisierte Räume erwarten. Man muss aufpassen, dass keine Hochzeit erwischt ist es auch noch laut und top Der Golfplatz ist glaube ich ganz gut, aber wir hatten keine Zeit den zu spielen.

Breakfast was good although they kept running out of things so you had to wait for them to refill and they only had 1 coffee machine for the entire dining area which meant there were often long queues for coffee. Staff not very helpful or interested.

Rooms were very basic for the price and big stains on carpet. Cups in room weren’t clean and Toilet didn’t flush properly. Restaurant evening food was not great and overpriced for the quality of food. We paid £38 each for what was meant to be a ribeye steak and I’ve eaten better steaks in Wetherspoons! Overall hotel needs a refurb and really doesn’t justify the price being charged.

Reception staff were polite and helpful. The girls working in the restaurant were friendly and efficient, and there was a fantastic selection for breakfast. Golf course was in fair condition considering the amount of hot, dry weather recently.

Room was lovely apart from overnight bag was not in room when arrived. I explained to reception that the couple didn't know they were coming to ufford as a surprise on there wedding night

When they came down for breakfast, they said there wasn't any clear tables as only two staff members on that they could see

They moved us to a bigger room at no cost, the breakfast was good and the pool was nice in the morning. Nice staff.

The sink didnt drain well, there was no air conditioning, the room floor wasnt cleaned well and there was a water bottle in the fridge from the previous guests.

Rooms comfortable, gym and Spa facilities good, golf course would recommend.

Dining - lack of supervision for the overworked waitresses which led to tables not being cleared and delays in breakfast foods being available. Being told no orange juice available and no white bread obviously someone did not order correctly to cater for the hotel! Drinks very expensive.

Patio table & chairs in a poor state and were not cleaned regularly even though I mentioned it at reception . Not everyone wants to sit on bench seats especially older guests. We were in room 103 on the ground floor and were subject to delivery vans outside our window early in the morning loading and unloading hence noisy

The Staff tried hard to be helpful and always had a smile on their faces

Needs a cash injection! Everything was tired, our shower leaked, the main restaurant was very uninviting with tables not being cleared and mugs/cutlery etc not readily available. . Breakfast could have been better quality and replenished when trays were emptied.

Breakfast was well cooked and presented, staff exceptional and pool a highlight.

The bed was exceptionally uncomfortable, needs changing.

Property is in need of investment. Prices are too high given the current condition.

It’s very run down and tatty in the communal areas. It’s a shame as it used to be a nice venue.

At breakfast which we went to just before nine we had to ask for quite a few things that had run out. Cereal dishes, drink mugs, milk and even hot water. Some staff for instance those on reception were excellent whereas some were not quite so good. Lots of cobwebs round one of wall lights in room!

Breakfast no tables set and lots if dirty dishes, on arrival at restaurant booking in to find how much we paid for our room in view of everyone as this was discussed by the person in front of us. Seating in restaurant was stained. In our room carpet frayed going into bathroom. Room was very tired in need of upgrade, water drainging in sink very slow to empty

The whole place is well overdue a big refurbishment. Cracked between tiles in the bathroom. Taps with their chrome gone. Lots of lime buildup around the shower screen. Sink didn't empty. TV channels mostly un watchable due to "no signal" message or signal breakup. Bazaar layout for the breakfast. With items that would go together (cereals and fruit might have spoons nearby hem etc etc.) Our second trip this year. But sadly probably won't be going again

My car was damaged in the car park (which I witnessed) when I requested the CCTF footage from reception they advised me that they didn't have CCTV, when I pointed out they had two cameras pointing directly at my car they back tracked and said that "Owners leave their cars in the carpark at their own risk", which i understand and wasn't looking to lodge a claim but wanted help with the footage for my insurance - they point blank refused.

Property takers Ng over with new owners, they don't seem to be interested in hotel, stayed here a number of times over the years everything has gone down hill prices at bar sky high staff at breakfast to busy talking among themselves, rooms very tired, won't stay here again. Henry

ALL STAFF WERE EXCELLENT, PARTICULARLY THE RECEPTION STAFF WHO WERE FRIENDLY, ENGAGING, KEEN AND HELPFUL. BREAKFAST CHOICE AND QUALITY WAS EXCELLENT. BAR STAFF WERE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.

WATER FROM THE SINK AND SHOWER HEAD WAS EITHER HOT OR HOTTER SO I COULD NOT HAVE A COOL SHOWER. KEY CARD DID NOT WORK FIRST TIME NECESSITATING ANOTHER VISIT TO RECEPTION WHICH WAS A FEW HUNDRED YARDS AWAY. NO RESTAURANT MENU OR FAN IN MY ROOM. THE RECEPTION STAFF DID FIND A FAN FOR ME LATER WHICH WAS GREAT. RADIATOR IN THE BATHROOM WAS RUSTY.

The Breakfast was very poor, all of the cooked food was swimming in cooking oil !

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was excellent.

The room was quite dusty and dirty in the corners and on the patio door and the toilet was very stained.

Hotel looked very tired .Our premier room was in need of refurbishment as was the dining room. Some of the staff in the dining area at breakfast were very sullen and not properly trained in hospitality.

The pool is a good size. Hotel was comfortable enough for a night while we were at a nearby wedding.

The cooked breakfast had almost run out at 9:30, and what was left looked like it had been out for a while. Fire alarm went off at 2am. Small thin pillows.

Golf course looked good

Very dated and worn, massively in need of a refurbishment, bed was very uncomfortable and badly worn, as for the pool and changing rooms, they by far are the worst I've seen. The pool was cloudy with bits floating around in it, changing rooms and toilets needed serious cleaning! Looked good front photos. However, will never visit here again.

The dinner in restaurant was very yummy

Room wasn’t clean enough , bits on the floor and bathroom wasn’t cleaned well and toilet flushed came off and didn’t flush well at all . We didn’t know details about breakfast or check outs times. No vegan sausages at breakfast as had ran out which was a shame. The pool facilities were ok but very run down. Sauna wasn’t working. Didn’t think it was worth £215 for only one night at all .

The location is good , room was a good size .

The hotel was a little unloved , for example no milk in the room , not enough staff in the restaurant, rubbish from a party the night before was not totally cleaned away .bins outside the bar were full . It just looked like it needed a bit of TLC . The staff were doing their best , there didn’t seem to be any management around .

Pool and spa. Room nice and big, clean and comfy!

Waiting staff do not wait on you. Only one waitress was attentive. The others seemed very young and needed direction of a floor manager that wasn’t there. Food took ages to be ordered and then you were chasing for someone! Tables not made. Little things like bringing a jug of water over and not noticing you had no glasses so you again would have to ask. Walking by your table piled with plates but not taking them away. Two of the female staff as breakfast were doing each others hair behind the bar?? Very odd! Bread at breakfast empty until you asked for some. Hash browns also! Just constant chasing of staff to do what they should be doing naturally! Very young and inexperienced and need guidance and leadership. The food was very nice when it came but when I say we waited 1hr and 20 mins for gammon, sausage and mash and a tube sandwich I am not exaggerating!!!! Also, the dining area needs redecorating as it looks like it’s from the 80’s still! Get these things corrected and it would have been an excellent stay!

A booked twin was presented as a double.room. it was speedily rectified.

Perfect for overnight stop on golfing weekend at Woodbridge/Aldeburgh

All the staff, reception, bar, spa and housekeeping, were welcoming and friendly. Overall the areas for facilities were clean and well maintained. The grounds are immaculate. Our room was ready on our arrival.

Although our room was ready when we arrived we had booked for a twin room which meant the beds needed to be separated. Housekeeping did come promptly to do this. The corridors that lead to and from the rooms are tired and dirty; cobwebs, dead insects and worn carpets. The room was clean but dated. Limescale on the taps in the bathroom meant the shower was tricky to start. Breakfast was slow…. Waiting for plates and restocking of the hot buffet.

The bar area needs a total revamp. I stayed here a couple of times , the hotel has gone downhill. Looking shabby in the bar area.. Breakfast plates were left on the tables for a couple of hours, not cleaned away, also had lunch and tables weren't cleared at lunchtime on the outside patio, pegions were flying down on the table grabbing the food, waitresses were standing around talking. And not clearing away the food that was left for a good couple of hours.

Lots of files. Running out of plates and eggs. Tables was not cleared. The breakfast room needs a refresh and an update. The jugs with water and orange had no lits.

Service was not good they had staff standing around when tables needed clearing. Just seemed there was no one to over see the Restaurant.

Our room was very good, overlooking the golf course.

The bar area was minimalist in its furnishings with only a couple of threadbare sofas.

The whole place just needs an update, abit of colour, some pictures on the walls. Just looks very dated.

Staff were lovely, but seemed alittle uninterested

Runner on bed was dirty, bathroom floor had not been cleaned toilet seat not attached, appeared broken. The sky light had no blind? Was awake since 4 due to daylight. Meal, crab cakes disgusting, main meal ok, dessert, omg, i chose strawberry on a waffle, this came with one strawberry cut into 4 absolutely not worth the money, water glasses appeard dirty, and water marks on cutlery. Breakfast, not a great choice, cups were to small for the coffee machine, split over, made a right mess, noone came to help, clean it up, and the coffee was Luke warm? To top it off there was a disinfectant bottle stood above the cooked breakfast, was sat there during my breakfast, then staff must have seen it and eventually removed it. Massive risk for health and safety. On leaving breakfast area the door to the kitchen was propped open. Kitchen was filthy had I have seen the kit hen, I would definitely not have eaten there. The outside area was covered in fag butt's and tissue. Its a shame as the building is beautiful, but will not be staying there again.

We had dinner in the restaurant the first night. The waitress was friendly and helpful and the food was good. We particularly enjoyed the cheese platter which we shared.

The breakfast was disappointing. The hot buffet was just warm and the bread for toasting was nothing to write home about! The coffee machine kept malfunctioning. On the first morning it produced half a cup and on the second it overflowed the cup.

Zero sleep all night due to air conditioning unit constantly starting and stopping every 5 minutes or so.

Wrong beds. Requested twin and got double which had to be altered by staff after waiting 4 hours. Couldn't find night staff. Very poor breakfast drinks machine broke down twice and no sugar. Not much choice for breakfast. What there was of it. No senior staff just young people trying to cope. Not very good management. Won't be returning Lots of guests complaining at breakfast. Poor staff was doing their best.

Room was very clean and we had a good view. Bed very comfortable and shower and bath were easy to operate and spotless. Staff were polite and helpful especially the staff on reception who were very welcoming.

Central to the area we were visiting, room facilities were great with views across the golf course. We enjoyed use of the pool. Restaurant had a nice selection of meals, which were a good standard. An additional bonus was the crazy golf, Congo Rapids, which was extra fun for adults and kids. Staff were polite and accommodating.

Menu didn’t change while we were there for a week . Quite expensive food , hit and miss with the quality. Our first morning there were no bowls or side plates put out for breakfast. The coffee machine at breakfast was a bit unreliable.

Lovely location and lovely staff, but new owners have degraded the quality of the hotel. It needs money spent on it to bring it into the 21st century.

We have stayed before, location good and plenty of space and fantastic views over the golf course. The room backed onto the golf course which was nice.

The evening meal of fish and chips was very greasy and not very good. The hairdryer in the room did not work, and the tv remote needed new batteries. Only 1 pillow each laid out on the bed ( managed to find others after enquiring to reception). Inadequate info in room, including no info on phoning through to reception!

It needs a refurb. Rooms and restaurant are a little tired. Pillows are very firm. Coffee supplies in room are poor. Breakfast ingredients were very basic - sliced bread from a bag!

The steam and sauna were not working!! Could have informed customers about this at the time of booking. Wasn’t great value for money for this reason

Attended a wedding and the location is beautiful. With the grounds and the golf course as the backdrop it is wonderfully situated. The sun shone and everything was perfect. The staff were efficient and friendly for the function which was lovely. Bar staff were helpful but some did look a little scruffy which was a shame. Overall we were all very happy with everything and the wedding meal (breakfast) was really excellent. Served quickly and very hot and delicious, this impressed us as we understand it's not an easy task! We had two rooms. 392 (premier room - Aldeburgh) and a standard family room (209). 392 was lovely with a lovely balcony and view. Superb bathroom and comfortable. A very warm day made for a very warm room so the fan was a helpful addition. 209 not so good. Very clean and comfortable but just a bit tired. Needs refurbishment and freshening up but certainly adequate.

A lot of the hotel needs refurbishment and is just a bit tired and sad. It's rather a shame as the location is stunning. My sister had a standard room (243) and that was rather dismal with the most awful outlook over some roof area but agin the room was clean and basically comfortable. It's obvious this hotel could be absolutely stunning but needs some serious TLC. Breakfast comes under the 'ok' standard. It was pleasant and certainly edible, but just failed to impress. Hot food felt like the cheapest sausages and cheapest bacon and hash browns were overcooked. Fried eggs were swimming in oil and the scrambled eggs were probably a bit over done. It was 'ok'. Yoghurt, fruits, cereals and juices available which was nice. A very nice coffee machine provided delicious drinks which was appreciated. Breakfast done the job but could be better.

The building was clean but very dated. Old TVs in the room with minimal channels - should be Smart TVs. Bed was two singles pushed together, but they were different heights. Food was average.

Lovely place. I liked the crazy golf. Good selection of food and drink.

The breakfast when we arrived at 9.30 was very sparse. When we asked for more items the staff seemed very unfriendly( she never smiled ).
