Reviewed Sep 16, 2026The common area was nice and cozy. The host was very helpful The showers were well maintained and clean. The location was great.
dorms were basic. The crumbled grey bed linen as well as the dark coloured towels didn't appeal to me as they are washed properly. In a place with rate 9 and above I expect proper white bed Linen as well as clean white Towels.

Reviewed Sep 10, 2026We’ve travelled quite a lot and stayed in many guesthouses around the world, but Guest House Bonito in Kochi genuinely stands out. It’s rare to find a place where such a high level of cleanliness and comfort goes hand in hand with preserving an authentic atmosphere and local character. We stayed in a spacious room for two, beautifully arranged with great attention to detail. Everything feels thoughtfully designed without losing the charm and atmosphere of a traditional guesthouse. The bathrooms, toilets and kitchen are exceptionally clean and very well maintained. There is also a washing machine and dryer, which is especially convenient for travellers. The location is fantastic — right in the centre of Kochi and within easy walking distance of Hirome Market and many other places in the city. The owner is also wonderful: very friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with. We are travelling by bicycle, and we really appreciated having a dedicated, covered place where we could safely keep our bikes. You can really feel the care and attention that goes into running this place. For us, Guest House Bonito was not just a place to sleep — it was part of the experience of visiting Kochi. Highly recommended. We would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Kochi!

Reviewed Aug 12, 2026民宿內到處都非常乾淨，女生房還有專屬化妝台，好貼心。廚房設備一應俱全。位於追手筋鬧區，鬧中取靜，去弘人市場或市民圖書館、高知城都非常方便。老闆（或管理者）服務態度非常好，有任何問題都會盡可能提供協助，英文也非常好。

遅い時間に帰ってこられたお客様が 部屋の中で大きい声で喋ったり ドアの開け閉めもうるさかった シェアする宿では静かに過ごしてもらいたいなと 思いました。

El castillo esta a menos de 10 minutos andando, el mercado de los domingos es justo enfrente , el mercado de pescado y la calle comercial a menos de 5 minutos. ademas hay muchísimos restaurantes y supermercados cerca. El hostel es verdaderamente acogedor y muy limpio. El personal es muy atento. De mis mejores experiencias en lo que he viajado por japón.

Reviewed Jun 29, 2026The Manager was very welcoming and explained where everything was and the house rules. It's a very cute old style house that has been renovated into a guesthouse. Everything is clean and tidy and provides everything you need for a great stay while traveling. Bathroom amenities are provided and there is washer and dryer. The Manager helped make suggestions on where to eat specific local food as well as where to find Tosa sake. Everything suggested was within a 10 minute walk and there are many restaurants, izakayas and the main shopping arcade is a 5 minute walk away. On Sundays, the Kochi Sunday market, held on the street, is only a 1 minute walk and stretches all the way to Kochi Castle. The vendors sell many fresh fruits, vegetables, fish, preserves and local crafts.The prices of everything were extremely humble. Kochi station is an 8 minute walk away Kochi Castle is only a 15 minute walk

Reviewed Jun 28, 2026旅館旁邊就是週日市集「日曜市」，走路至高知城約10分鐘，位置相當優異 旅館的公用區域非常完整且整齊，包含有乾淨的廁所、乾濕分離的置物空間的浴室、提供化妝水乳液及吹風機的三座洗手台，兩台付費洗衣機和兩台烘衣機（付費），簡易廚房、冰箱和付費濃縮咖啡機 這次住的是雙人雅房，房間空間很足夠，採用榻榻米非常舒適，房間也非常乾淨，旅館還會提供眼罩及耳塞，雖然附近有許多居酒屋，但窗戶氣密效果不錯，不會受到太多影響
唯一要注意的是如果你開車前來，因為附近是居酒屋一級區域，所以晚上停車很貴，建議可以稍微往外開一點找較便宜的停車場，稍往南會有一天上限500日圓的停車場

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026Muy buena ubicación, cerca de centros comerciales, zona de restaurantes y no muy lejos de la estación (15-20 min caminando). También hay un Lawson a la vuelta de la esquina donde puedes comprar comida y comerla en el hostel. El hostel es bastante cómodo y limpio.
Me sorprendió un poco que cobraran por algunos servicios extras (early check-in, por guardar la maleta o bolso antes del check-in), pero por el precio del hospedaje creo que es entendible.

Reviewed Jun 5, 2026I booked a private room. It was japanese style which I like very much. The whole guesthouse is clean an well maintained with many amenities. The owner is very nice and helps with any quastion you might have. Because of a typhoon I got stuck in Kochi. As the private room already was booked I got to stay in the female dormitory room, too. It was also very clean an the beds are comfortable. The location is between the castle and the train station. As there are a lot of restaurants nearby you might hear some noise. Earplugs are provided by the guesthouse. I didn't need them, but light sleepers might need them. In short: I had a very lovely stay.

Reviewed May 26, 2026算是佇風化區的邊緣，拜五暗，拜六攏看會著搝人客的公關，不而過日本的風化區應該算是全世界上安全的風化區矣，一般遊客無啥會去夆糾纏。 因為按呢邊仔足鬧熱，行路30秒就有Lawson，行路兩分鐘有全家佮屋台餃子。 眠床有加長挺懸，睏起來足舒適。眠床頭有電火和插座，真利便。 公共空間有較細，不而過眠床足大頂，若無位轉去眠床就好。 門有特別處理過，開門關門袂inn-inn-uāinn-uāinn，真恬靜 灶跤有咖啡佮茶，浴間仔有免費的巾仔通用。
大門傷狹，若行李較濟就歹出入。

Non ci sono spazzolini usa e getta ma si possono comprare a 100 yen se non sbaglio Sono arrivato alle 14:00 per via del treno e so che non si può fare check in anticipato, ma di solito chiedo in tutte le strutture se posso lasciare i miei bagagli e fare il check in più tardi e tutte le strutture hanno sempre accomodato la mia richiesta. Questa volta viaggiavo con uno zaino e basta e il ragazzo al check in mi ha detto che avrei potuto lasciarlo ma che dovevo pagare 300 yen. Per nemmeno 2 ore prima del mio check in, sinceramente sono rimasto molto deluso e anche arrabbiato. Capisco lo spazio sia piccolo ma si trattava di uno zaino e di 2 ore. Ho deciso di non pagare e al castello ho trovato dei locker gratuiti dove lasciarlo.

In adition the check out is quite late (11am) which allowed me to go to explore the city in the morning. I would definitely come back :)

Reviewed May 7, 2026I stayed five nights in the women's only dormitory. The room is very clean and the bed is very comfortable. The entire facility is very clean, well designed and well thought out. The host has put lots of effort and heart into everything. It offers the warmth, comfort, and peace that every traveler would enjoy. I certainly did! At last the host is such a lovely and kind individual!

Reviewed May 7, 2026El sitio está ubicado muy bien, totalmente en el centro però sin molestias nocturnas. Todo está organizado muy bien y es muy limpio. La cocina está a disposición para quien quiera prepararse el desayuno/comida/cena, y tiene todo lo que se necesita. Però más de todo, destaco la amabilidad y la pasión del personal para crear y mantener un sitio con buena vibra, donde poder relajarse después de un día largo, o simplemente un día de vacaciones. Nao y Yuki siempre tienen una sonrisa y unas buenas palabras, y siempre están listos para ayudar

Reviewed May 6, 2026Very welcoming and friendly staff. The locker is big enough for a suitcase, and there's a great open area to dry clothes. I loved the common area and kitchen. It's perfectly located within walking distance of Hirome Market and the Sunday Market! I had breakfast at the market, then rested a bit at the hostel. Later, I grabbed takeout from Hirome for lunch at the hostel—it was so easy to go back and forth since the hostel is right in the middle of everything.

Les douches sont vraiment top avec le jet multifonction, c'est parfait après une journée de pluie. L'auberge est situé juste à côté des galeries couvertes à 5min du marché et du château.
Seul petit détail qui m'a gêné, je n'ai pas trouvé comment éteindre la lumière principale du dortoir. J'ai l'impression qu'elle s'éteint automatiquement aux alentours de 11h. Mais ce n'était pas très grave.

Our room came with a pack of eye covers and ear plugs. This because the thin bamboo drop blinds were very inadequate- looked nice, but hopeless against 2 very bright street lights on one side. The other window had a good curtain as well as the blinds. Put up a proper curtain on the bright window lights, and drop the useless eye covers. Noise was'nt a problem even though it was Friday night.

Reviewed Apr 25, 2026説明がとっても丁寧で、人との距離感もいい感じに離れていて、思ったより自由に動けてとっても楽でした。帰ってきた時の安心感が何故かありました。オートロックなのもすごくいいなと思いました。あと、タオルの吸水性の良さに感動しました！朝、傘広げていて下さりありがとうございました！！
特になかったです！！強いて言うなら、トイレやお風呂の使用中かどうかの色が見にくい所です。スリッパがあったり、少し空いていたりで分かるときもあるので、めっちゃ困る訳じゃないです…！
