It is in walking distance to many of my favorite temples. Many of the other temples are a short scooter ride away. Because it is tucked in to the family compound and away from the road it is quiet. I slept very well in the comfortable bed. The price is very reasonable.
I stayed a total of four nights. Ambara and his family are very welcoming. The bed was comfortable. The room is clean, quiet, and relatively new with everything I needed for my time Sebatu. The location is in walking distance of my favorite temples, with many of the more touristed temples within a short motorbike ride away. It was unreasonable walking distance to Dion‘s Café, which is well worth the walk for the excellent food and service.
The owners were really kind and polite . So would absolutely recommend to stay . Also the street is not crowded , less tourists also near to rice terrace If u want some peace this is the best choice
It has a very warm energy. Ega & Ambara are very caring & have lots of time for you. They are super kind and have a lovely family. I was able to use the kitchen to cook my eggs in the morning which was a nice way to spend time with Ega and get to know her. My room was spacious and the bed really comfy, the shower was beautiful and gave a nice feel of being in nature. I woke up to a blessing on my doorstep & insense sticks burning every morning. The village ‘Sebatu’ is wonderful, it has a lovely Balinese restaurant called Uma Linggah Resto o went here 3 times it was so good. I also recommend Sari Timbul art gallery just 10 min walk from the guesthouse and their restaurant which is another 5 mins from the gallery (they have beautiful grounds, with wood carvings/art, a big restaurant & a pool. The village have local businesses making wood carvings and gifts you can buy, also a wonderful silk & cotton Sari & sarong shop called ‘Tulip’. Overall everyone I came into contact with was very friendly, kind & respectful. A warm healing energy all around. Thankyou Ega & Ambara for making me feel so welcome.
I spent a week here, and it was just the perfect and warm environment with the most comfortable bed and quiet room. Aga keeps the property clean and well organised, and is such a friendly and accommodating host
I was pretty happy and comfortable, the only issue was there seemed to be a smell of animal waste around the outside that would come and go. Otherwise everything else was great
Molto pulita la camera e letto comodo. Lo staff è gentilissimo e hanno un meraviglioso tempietto interno.
Purtroppo si trova in un paesino un pò isolato e senza servizi turistici (ristoranti, atm, money changer, supermarket)
Great family run guest house, the room was immaculate. Just far enough away from the business of Ubud but only 25 minutes from centre. Very close to rice terraces, temples, waterfalls and coffee plantations. All of this for a steal of a price.
The location is close to tourist attractions... good facilities... Wayan the owner is very helpful

Clean, nice people
I'm English, travelling alone, I'm 79 and I enjoy walking. Ambara Guest House is a traditional family compound in the village of Pujung, just North of Tegallalang. The 2 homestay rooms are brand new, sparkling clean, comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and shower with hot water, ample furniture and porch to sit and enjoy the peace. Owners Erex and Ega are kind, generous and welcoming as is Ega's mother. It was such an interesting place to be and at my request Erex took me by bike to see rice being harvested, glass production, a waterfall and to nearby beautiful hotel Puri Gangga for dinner which I discovered when I walked to the temple. My last day was Dead Moon Day and Ega woke me at 5.30am, we went to market and I watched her prepare and distribute offerings. It was wonderful to see village life. Really interesting to visit Kailasha (free entrance) just down the road to see coffee preparation, plants labelled, free guides and beautiful restaurant. Also there's a nice looking restaurant in the village on the road to the temple. Erex has taxi service and took me to my Ubud homestay and in a few days on to Amed. It was great to get to know Erex and Ega who are honest and kind. I had a fantastic time and would totally recommend Ambara Guest House.
Nothing
Very clean, one of the best places I have stayed in Bali.
Everything was great, ambara is a good and gentle person
The room was at the back so you do not hear the traffic on the main road, lovely place which has temples, kitchen and outdoor seats to relax in.. Nearby lots of activities.. Wayan was a lovely host and had some great recommendations that made our stay 100x better! Definitely would recommend to those staying in Ubud.
nothing its a 10/10 place
Ambara couple so nice, humble and cordial. nice homely stay. Kitchen accessible. Great experience!
.Relation quality price is more than ten. It's new, very clean, quiet and the family who owns it is very kind. Absolutely recommendable.
Nothing.
Property is new, everything featured very well, as on the picture. Mother of the Owner helped us with some questions. Everything was super clean. Totally recommend.
This is a very new guesthouse run by a lovely family! Two private rooms tucked in the corner of their property. Our room was spotless - super clean and tidy from bathroom to bed. The owners put a lot of work into all the furnishings in the room, quality wooden furnitures made by family. Small fish pond to enjoy and sitting area to hang out. Little porch area in front of room to sit and relax. It was very appreciated quiet oasis outside of the very busy Ubud center.
Our first night, there may have been a ceremony nearby that we could hear. But the noise level wasn’t bad for sleeping and didn’t last too long after dark.
The rooms have been completely refurbished, incredibly comfortable bed, great sized room, lovely modern bathroom. Slept tao well as very quiet and this local family that are so kind and attentive, can't recommend enough.
Entrance of property doesn't quite represent the great value and how lovely the guesthouse rooms are
