Perfekt gelegen für die Sehenswürdigkeiten am Kap, mit gutem Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Das Frühstück im Korb ist wie beschrieben, und wirklich ok. Lage direkt über der Straße, aber dennoch Nachts sehr ruhig. Ach ja: die vorbeiziehenden (bestimmt 100) Delfine gabs umsonst dazu!!

Reviewed Apr 2, 2026Lovely ocean views, spacious room, while working amenities, everything as described. Loved the breakfast basket with everything that we like. Very close to beautiful beaches and sites. Great walk-in shower. Very friendly hostess. Big thumbs up all around. Loved to be able to see the sunrise over the ocean.
The fridge is unfortunately very loud at night. But earplugs can fix that. For those who like to watch TV, it should perhaps be a little bigger. Really trying hard to think of negative things here… It was just a great stay all around.

Reviewed Jan 18, 2026Wir konnten sogar etwas früher einchecken und das Zimmer war wirklich sehr schön. Es gab auch 2 Liegen auf der Terrasse mit Meerblick. Rundum schön eingerichtet und man fühlt sich wohl.
Dss Frühstück wurde nicht serviert, sondern wurde als Korb bereits vorab bereitgestellt. Zutaten waren alle frisch, aber leider sehr süß (Joghurt) und das Croissant war abgepackt.

Reviewed Jan 8, 2026房东很热情，还用中文跟我们打招呼。给我们准备了丰富的早餐放房间里，不得不说，水果都好甜很好吃😋。房间里很干净很宽敞，露台上还能看到海，整个房子设计得有点像希腊的圣托里尼，离Simon Town也很近，房东还准备了Simon Town的美食推荐，我们就是去了推荐的LightHouse 餐厅用餐，还不错👍。非常推荐入住！

Man erhält einen Frühstückskorb ins Zimmer gestellt - es erfüllt zwar seinen Zweck, könnte aber etwas mehr Inhalt enthalten. Das ist kein richtiger negativer Punkt, sondern eher ein Verbesserungsvorschlag :)

The location near Boulders Beach is great and we were welcomed very warmly. The breakfast basket has plenty of options and is varied every day. The babybed provided was great, too!! We did not notice in the pictures that there was no door to the bathroom, so we were a bit surprised. I’d suggest to set up a sliding door or at least a curtain to make experience in the room more delightful, but that’s the only downside.

Reviewed Feb 20, 2025We could not have chosen a more perfect place to enjoy the beauty of the Cape Peninsula from. Situated just over the road from the beach with stunning views across the bay it was a very relaxing 4 night stay. Too many highlights to mention so if its sun sea sand and plenty nature you after with a bit of a village high vibe then The Tides is your place for sure!
Nothing could have been better. The way the staff handled a mix up with our initial booking was brilliant. They really care about making your trip as pleasant and relaxing as they can.
