Little space between bed and dressing table for access. Property looking slightly jaded at end of season. ie. Carpet and sofas.

A great location , quiet with secure parking, Peaseholm Park close by and also the miniature railway down to the Sealife centre .No late night noise from people coming and going. Flat very clean with all amenities that might be required and quite spacious. Frequent buses outside going to and from the South side or into town, or it's a lovely walk if you are up to it. A couple of cafe's and a food outlet outside, also a mini mart for milk and things. A great base for exploring the area. Two lifts to all floors. Hope to go again sometime - this was my third visit over the years. Good security.

I would prefer a shower cubicle to one over the bath as I'm not quite as agile as I was. No sea view unless you are on the front of the building, but did not bother me.

The Location was fabulous and the Apartment was lovely and clean. The staff were great.

I found the beds were very hard in the twin bedroom. Not comfortable at all. And the sockets to plug things were in ridiculous places behind beds and wardrobes. No plug socket near the dressing table when in my opinion there should always be a plug socket next to a dressing table.

We stayed for 2 nights and it was lovely, the location, the apartment and amenities are brilliant, we will definitely be back.

Nothing really, but next time we will bring a couple more tea towels and a pan scrubber 🥰

We had a wonderful stay. The apartments were incredibly comfortable and spotlessly clean. Waking up to the sweeping sea views and watching the sunrise each morning was truly inspiring. The location is perfect—very close to local amenities, and the coastal walk directly opposite the property is absolutely brilliant. We had a minor issue with the microwave, but the team resolved it promptly and efficiently. I won't hesitate to recommend this place to my friends

While the breakfast was good and the staff were very courteous, the cleanliness of the cutlery could be improved. We noticed that some items still had food stains on them from previous use

The apartment was fantastic, fully equipped and had everything needed. The location to the beach and shops was excellent and the private parking was easy and secure, WIFI was included and had excellent signal for work and streaming.

It was easy to park the car. We had two children with us so staying next to the beach was great. The property had everything we needed to make our holiday perfect. There are lovely cafes and shops close by.

What a beautiful apartment! Perfect location, spotless clean and really friendly, helpful staff.Having a balcony was an absolute bonus, sitting reading out there in the evening whilst the kids were getting settled was brilliant!

The apartment was perfect, the only small thing was maybe that the outdoor furniture could do with a lick of paint. I think it was made more obvious because the rest of the apartment had such a 'wow' factor - the balcony maybe let it down slightly. If it were painted it would bring it in line with the rest of the apartment. The only other small thing was the Internet wasn't great - this wasn't a big deal because we luckily got fabulous weather and were out and about. But just something to bear in mind. (I suspect the Internet may have been worse as we were at the back and the first foor, so may have been a bit of 'signal hole' Don't let this put you off though - these were such minor things, and the apartment was truly perfect.

Best location and accommodation on the north bay by far, everything you need for a comfortable stay, with the bonus of a mini hamper to welcome you, nice touch. Staff answered my questions very quickly before we arrived. 5 out of 5 all round. Would highly recommend.

Large, light, airy, comfortable and quiet. Perfectly located on the sea front. Enjoyed not having to cook and instead order room service.

Having to take the rubbish out at the end of the stay, would be better if it could be left in a bag by the door for the housekeepers to collect.

Clean and facilities all excellent. Location on North Bay perfect for us. Check in process and free parking with a dedicated space are great additions.

Only fault was that the dishwasher didn’t work. Not reported until the end of our two night stay and expect this would have been repaired had we reported it ahead of departure as staff were excellent.

The sea view the walks on the beach and the member of staff with the long dark hair who checked us in and out was polite friendly helpful lift was very useful and the food and drink shops and onestop were very useful aswell. We liked all the useful things in the apartment umbrella washer dishwasher hoover clothes rack beach bag were very good.The toiletries were very useful and pleasant.

taking our own rubbish to the bins provided in car park area .didnt like not having a TV in our single bed rooms,could have done with a few more toilet rolls and some kitchen/bathroom cleaner to wipe stuff down with and didnt like that there was no bath soak.

Location was perfect walking distance to park, beach, waterpark, sea life centre, restaurants, shops. Apartment itself was exceptional, they thought of everything, umbrellas, beach chairs and camping chairs to take to the beach, fully stocked kitchen, beds so comfortable, binoculars, books just amazing! Parking was secure and well planned (if a little tight)

We went for my mum's 60th birthday. The view and close location to the beach was amazing. So worth paying extra for sea view in my opinion. For my dad this was the first time staying away from home since becoming disabled, they provided aids in the ensuite which we really appreciated. We hope to stay again.

Twin room was small for 2 adults, we had to push the beds closer together so we could close the door. We were placed above the bar area facing the road, this was pretty loud up until midnight (England match plus concert) but fortunately we typically go to bed late so it didn't bother us too much. A grab rail in the shower would be great!

The apartment we stayed in, had a bedroom window with street light next to it, so even with the black out curtains it was still a bit too bright for me.

The hotel looked brand new,everything was clean and nicely designed and the location next to the beach was perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful. The car park was easy to access. Shops and bars and cafes were right next door so all we needed was in one place.

There wasn't anything about The Sands that I didn't like.

The apartment completely exceeded my expectations. It was stunningly fitted out and equipped with everything you could possibly need on your stay. Immaculately clean. Shower was fab and bed comfy.

Friendly greeting and efficient service. Great parking. Fabulous location and lots of amenities very accessible.

I was not overly impressed with the cleanliness of our apartment or the management of the property and their lack of complaints resolution! Also i was not impressed with the incompetence of the front desk/ reception staff. I have stayed in many hotels, apartments both here in the UK and abroad, many of which were awarded and considered a 5 star establishment. On this occasion, The Sands Sea Front Apartments certainly fell short of such a grandiose title! When we arrived to the apartment we had 40 minutes until the time of our pre-booked restaurant reservation which meant i did not have enough time to clean the apartment which should have being cleaned exceptionally well prior to our arrival at 3.30pm considering our check in was booked from 3pm onwards!. In my opinion a 5 star establishment should not be filthy. There was a hair clip and long black hair (i am blonde) under the dresser in the main bedroom (my son has Autism therefore he could of picked it up and swallowed the metal hair clip if i had not of seen it). There were sticky brown finger marks on the stereo in the living room, a iron on top of the wardrobe in the twin bedroom (which is dangerous when small children were to sleep in there) the balcony was absolutely FILTHY, the carpet had stains on it, the walls had scuffs & dents, the mirror in the living room was placed so high that not even a 7ft Giant could see themself in the mirror and the worst part of our stay was the disgusting smell of raw sewage coming from the main bathroom/toilet! As stated previously we had a restaurant reservation which meant we were out of the apartment relatively quickly after we had checked in and did not get back until evening however i did call reception and complain about the uncleanliness before we left the apartment for our meal.

Nothing at all. Except Google told us we would be able to hear the Open Air Theatre from the balcony and we couldn't.

The apartment was spacious and well equipped with on site parking a bonus.We had a sea view apartment which was wonderful (note that we were very relieved to have paid extra for the sea view as most apartments seemed to have balconies but those at the back overlooked the car park). The location in North Bay was perfect with the glorious Bay literally at our feet and the gorgeous Peasholm Park just a 5 minute stroll away for a leafy retreat in the afternoon. We enjoyed having a few shops, bars and restaurants as part of the complex - and it never got too raucous or noisy from the bars during our long weekend break which covered Friday and Saturday. The welcome basket with some treats was also a nice touch.

The only reason I couldn’t give the full 10 marks were just a couple of annoying features that might not matter to some people but I’m sharing in case it helps anyone else similarly affected with mobility issues. I’m not handicapped but I do have knee cartilage issues that made accessing the showers in either bathroom really difficult. In the en-suite the toilet is wedged so closely to the bath that a) using the toilet was always quite uncomfortable as there isn’t really enough ‘leg room’ and b) the proximity of the toilet to the bath together with the huge shower hinged cover not opening out, but inwards, meant a very awkward entry involving a height step, twist and turn motion I could not accomplish meaning I could never use that shower which was a bit annoying as we’d selected that apartment principally to have 2 bathrooms. Those were the only 2 issues though and it’s fair to say they only affected me, not my partner and for young agile folk it would probably not present any problem at all 🙂

Apartment ohne Meerblick bedeutete leider Ausblick auf den Parkplatz. Der Strand mit dicht befahrener Straße dahinter und die direkte Umgebung haben uns leider nicht so gut gefallen.

Had almost everything and anything you could think of to have a great stay! High quality apartments. The beds were very comfortable even the kiddos mentioned how nice they were!

Specific apartment was quite warm and difficult to cool down but, I think this is driven by all the food places below. Overall manageable with allowing air flow across the apartment.

I knew I was getting an appartment without a sea view but I didn't expect the windows to be quite so close to a wall of vegetation. It just made it seem so dark. As for the WiFi it was non existent I had to go outside to make and receive calls.

As above. I love it here but I've never had a room without a view of any description. I'd taken a friend because I wanted to show her how wonderful The Sands was, but I ended up apologising to her because it wasn't what I'd experienced before

Really friendly staff, great location, very quiet and apartment was spotless. Receptionist was so helpful and you got the feeling she really wanted you to have an enjoyable stay. Scarborough was lovely and really convenient for the open air concert venue

We opted for a non sea view room.due to budget, however if you can afford it get a sea view.

Comfortable stay in a spacious one bed apartment. Friendly reception staff, able to accommodate late check out as there was no guest staying the night we were leaving. The room was perfect for us going to see a performance at the nearby open air theatre. Roughly 20-30 min walks to main restaurants and the south bay but also able to easily use taxis.

Minor things could have been improved - supplying more than one cup of tea or coffee would have been ideal as we were staying multiple nights. There was room service advertised but this wasn't working when we were staying.

The apartment was roomy and light. I liked the decor and the welcome pack. I liked the location with the fantastic view and nearby shops and attractions. It had everything we needed. I loved sitting on the balcony in my robe watching the world go by. Another plus was it had secure parking.

No kitchen roll. Too much to do…couldn’t fit everything in - will have to come back again!!

The staff in reception were always friendly and helpful. The sea views were lovely. The apartment was well laid out, with comfy beds and furniture. There was a fully fitted kitchen with fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, pots, pans etc. The welcome hamper and bottle of milk were a nice touch too. The location is fantastic for both walking to places and catching local buses, even with a 93 year old with limited mobility in our party.

Nowhere in shower to put the toiletries! No light bright enough to read from. Yes, that is the case with nearly all holiday accommodation but still a lack. Pillows were hard.

We arrived a couple hours early, but the apartment was already done and waiting for us! Awesome! :D It was much larger than I thought, suuuuper clean, had the best view I’ve ever seen and the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! Absolutely will return to The Sands!!

The apartment was suuuuuper hot for some reason? Outside was like 20 degrees centergrade. It felt like someone had turned on the radiators. We did check- they were off. But it was fine. Opening the windows did the trick.

No buses running in evening are restaurant under facility stopped serving food after 5pm, so you had to take car out for evening meal. Apparently thus changes for school holiday dates

The location was perfect for the park and outside arena and the sea. It was about a 20 minute walk into town. There were 2 cafe, restaurants and a shop next door.
