Well appointed room, with comfy bed. Bathroom was modern and spotless. Host was friendly and very helpful. Convenient location for walking into town and exploring.

Our room was small and felt cramped. There was no hairdryer which was inconvenient. I did report it but it was not replaced.

Although able to buy parking permits from reception, parking was a bit of a pain at times.

Staff were lovely, friendly and extremely helpful. The Hotel itself was in a good spot and we had a lovely view from our bedroom. The parking disc made a big difference. We enjoyed using the comfortable lounge and noted the honesty bar.

The room itself was smaller than we expected for that price and for a 5*, we could barely get round the end of the bed. Having said that, it was clean and comfortable.

I suppose parking could be a bit of an issue but we arrived early and got parked up okay

The breakfast was lovely. I had a different option each morning and my husband and I had no complaints. There was one small error with the eggs however this was rectified immediately.

The only thing I could say is that there was no mini fridge in the room. This would be ideal as I prefer bottled cold water especially in a morning. This would not deter me from staying in the helaina again. It is only a comment.

The breakfast was fabulous. Fresh cooked and served by a very friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for you. The Helaina is very near the shops and beach and is easily in walking distance if you are able to. Would definately stay there again. Great value for money.

Would just have liked to see a member of staff when I left at 10.30am. I did look but unfortunately couldn’t see anyone. It was only to have a word and say Thankyou though.

The breakfast was amazing plenty of choice . Made to feel very welcome. The hotel is very clean kept to a very high standard.

Only criticism is we could have done with more wardrobe space.

I liked everything the welcome when we arrived. The room was lovely with a on suite very comfortable bed. The hotel was very clean and smelt lovely. Breakfast was very nice with good variety and pick the time we want it. The hotel was placed in a good spot for both bays. Had no trouble with parking we got a permit to put in are car.

De locatie en huiselijke sfeer vond ik fantastisch, de lounge/bar beneden om even heerlijk te zitten met uitzicht op de kust was heerlijk. Ontbijt was voortreffelijk!

Kamer was kleiner dan gedacht maar erg schoon, badkamer prima!

No complaints at all, all decor was good and fresh with a nice blend of modern in a traditional building, bed was very comfortable. We had a nice view of the bay. We didn’t have breakfast but my partner saw a breakfast and said it looked very good. We would certainly book the Helaina again if we were in the area needing accommodation.

Just one thing, we had a gentleman in the next room snoring at full volume lol.

Parking can be a pain,I don't know if we were just unlucky with concerts at the time.Finding a spot when you go out for the day was awkward.

Wonderful position on top of the cliff at North Bay, Superb views. Very clean and well equipped.

Room much smaller than on the booking.com site. In fact it was small...full stop. Bathroom small as well, in fact although I'm tall but not 'bulky' I felt in danger of slipping in the shower as there was no ribbing on the 'floor' and no shower mat. For all that it was a very pleasant one-night stay in a wonderful location.

Breakfast excellent choice cooked to order pleasant surroundings nothing is to much trouble and served with a smile.

For me a larger shower as I am on the large size but very clean .

Was a really friendly welcome from Enrico and was really impressed with the lounge space, the location and the value for everything. It’s definitely a cosy feeling hotel and very accommodating as we were there for a wedding nearby. Highly recommend! Because of being right by sea we even watched the sunrise which was amazing!

There wasn’t a lot we didn’t like, however would have loved a bath option and maybe more space around bed. Bonus, less noisy keys hahahaha!

The breakfast was great and the room comfortable and the staff very helpful.

The view from room 4 was beautiful. All staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and the location was great - we could walk to everything we wanted.

Breakfasts were outstandingly good - both choice, quality and the service. Hotel had a lovely sitting room at front. Whole hotel was immaculately clean. A very comfortable, relaxed atmosphere and we felt very well looked after.

The room was large and spotless throughout, (room 9). Very good bathroom and shower. The breakfast was fantastic, with quality produce and choice. All the staff were polite and attentive.

Nothing really, our room was on the 4th floor, so you need to have a reasonable fitness level, as no lifts are available.

We loved staying at The Helaina B&B, which had superb sea views of the North Bay and is in a great location, just a 10-minute walk and you are in the centre. The Helaina is decorated to a high standard, and all the staff that we met during our stay were very friendly. We were room only but we would definitely try the breakfasts the next time we stay. Also, we were blessed with the good weather and it was so lovely to sit in the morning with a cuppa and take in the beautiful sea views. Parking is not an issue either as when you arrive at The Helaina, we paid £5 (good value) for a parking permit for the duration of your stay. This then allows you to park outside and in that particular surrounding zoned area, so we left the car there until we checked out as it was lovely to have a walkabout and breathe in the sea air! This was our first time staying at The Helaina, but we will definitely be going back as we had such a lovely stay, thank you. 😊

The hotel is in a lovely position overlooking North Bay - the room was very comfortable and Enrico was very welcoming to us.

This is such a lovely property with beautiful rooms, a really great breakfast and excellent hosts.

The room was excellent with a fantastic view. It was very clean , comfy bed , overall an excellent room and facilities. The breakfast exceeded expectations and the choices were excellent every day. The manager was attentive and very friendly making our stay a great experience.

The room was very complact, but we did book quite late so possibly the only room left We ran out of milk and asked for extra. We were told this would be provided once the room was cleaned. That seemed a bit odd. Might be better to have milk etc available

This was a lovely B&B and would highly recommend it. When we walked in it smelt amazing, the view was amazing and perfect to take a seat and look out at the beautiful views. It was an excellent location to walk to both beaches with plenty of places to eat nearby. Book it you won’t be disappointed.
