There were no on site amenities (restaurant, etc.). The front desk staff did their job, but did not project “we’re glad you’re here.”

Staff were great and location excellent for walking to Central Chiang Mai. Beds were comfortable and hotel was quiet at night

Not offered help with our luggage to or from the room. Quite a steep slope to the room. Found AC unit very loud and asked for another room which was granted. Room not well cleaned. Dirty marks on bed divans. Food particles on the floor whole time we were there and mirrors were smudged. All this is easily fixed and it would be a very good hotel

Der erste Eindruck via Booking.com war vielversprechend. Die Realität sah jedoch anders aus. Das Zimmer war freundlich, groß genug und hatte einen Balkon sowie ein geräumiges Bad mit einer XL-Duschkabine und „ausgefransten“ Handtüchern/-lappen. Leider lag es zur äußerst belebten Straßenseite am Wassergraben, wodurch teils überlauter Lärm verursacht wurde. Und das rund um die Uhr! Ein Zimmertausch war wegen anderweitiger Belegung nicht möglich. Ein Hotelwechsel war wegen des kurzen 5-Tage-Aufenthalts und des ggf. zeitaufwendigen Regressverfahrens keine Option. Mein Bericht bewirkt mehr. Dann der Schock: Das angepriesene Hochgeschwindigkeitsinternet entpuppte sich als Desaster. Wenn man sich endlich mal einloggen konnte, dümpelte das WLAN in der Lobby mit Unterbrechungen vor sich hin und das zweite WLAN war so gut wie nie nutzbar. Zudem war der Internet-Empfang hauptsächlich in der Lobby im Erdgeschoss erträglich, erreichte aber viel zu oft nicht das Zimmer in der zweiten Etage. Da ich dringende Arbeiten (größere <> Datenübertragungen) erledigen musste und praktisch international isoliert war, wandte ich mich an die Hotelleitung. Meine mündlichen sowie schriftlichen Beschwerden (Kopie an Booking.com) und meine Forderung nach Abhilfe fruchteten erst am dritten Tag halbwegs. Davor musste ich mich mit meinem MacBook Pro in einer kleinen Hinterstraßenbude niederlassen, weil es dort ein hervorragendes WLAN gab, aber keine Klimaanlage, sondern nur 34 °C und einen Ventilator. Am dritten Tag tauschte der Zimmerservice endlich die zerfetzten Handtücher aus und reinigte das Zimmer dann täglich. Die Kaffeebeutel (Instant) waren rationiert. Mehr als eine Tasse pro Person war nicht möglich.

The location was convenient, the room was spacious, and there was a nice lobby. We enjoyed the gym and the cold complimentary water.

Room wasn’t super clean (brown splotches on bedroom and bathroom walls) and had a very bad odor during our whole stay.

Suszarka w pokoju była zepsuta, zgłosiłam ten fakt na recepcji niestety Pan stwierdził ze nie mają zastępczej i na tym się zakończyło. Żadnej reakcji, pomocy czy chęci naprawy. Nic….

A localização é muito boa e o quarto é bastante espaçoso. O staff foi excelente — sempre que pedimos ajuda, fomos atendidas com muita atenção e simpatia. A cama é extremamente confortável, o chuveiro tem ótima pressão e o ar-condicionado funciona bem.

Pontos negativos: a pia do banheiro não parava de pingar, deixando um acúmulo de água incômodo, e a iluminação do quarto é fraca, o ambiente acaba ficando mais escuro do que o ideal.

The room smelled like cigarette smoke, the humidity was unpleasant, and the furniture felt very old and outdated.

War gut, tolle Lage!

Very central and quiet hotel in the Old City of Chiang Mai. Big rooms with comfortable beds and with the option for daily cleaning. Everything was clean and with a nice sofa and a big desk in the room. There is a big parking lot in the back. There is no breakfast area inside the hotel but there are 2 nice coffee places next to the hotel with many breakfast options. Also a 7-Eleven is very close. The staff was friendly and there was always someone available even during the night at the reception.

Great room but a long haul up very steep ramps to get to and from lift. Stairs would have been a good option except for carrying bags of equipment each day. Carpets in hall smelt pretty bad. Used to be so much better when restaurant was open for breakfast

In a good location on the perimeter of the old town, so convenient for cafes, restaurants and transport. The room was spacious and there is a lift to the two upper floors. Excellent value for money.

Good and convenient location to do different things in Chiang Mai

The staff were not friendly at all. They seemed bothered whenever we asked questions. The first room we stayed in was incomplete (no bedside tables or lights), and we were woken up in the middle of the night by a leaky air conditioning. We complained and were given a different room that did have bedside lamps and tables, and no leaky airconditioning. However, the room smelled funky, no matter what we did (we opened the window quite often hoping the fresh air would help).

Room was exactly what i requested. Nice bathroom and balcony with a view. Bed was comfortable but a bit small for two people. Daily cleaning service if required.

Not much to complain about really but apparently the hotel restaurant has been closed for a few years but a few small restaurants are close by.

Location is ideal. It's a beautiful building, they do make an effort to keep the face of it clean and good looking every day. The shower was hot and great pressure. It smelled fresh, no mould or mothballs. I liked the gym, it had free weights and a few cardio machines and space for a yoga mat, looking out onto a small balcony.

It was just so dirty! Everywhere. In our room, along the corridors, all the windows and doors, the gym - I spent so much time cleaning everything before and after using it. They've tried to jazz it up with cheap gold coloured plastic items. It just needs a really deep clean. The beds were very soft, personal preference, we didn't love that. But the mattresses were clean and free of insects, yes we checked! It was initially a bit gross, but once you get past that, it's a pretty good place to stay. I wouldn't pay more, but it was OK for what it was.

Some of the things in the room were a little bit old. In the bathroom there is a net window in which there were some small twigs from a birds nest I assume and some of them fell off when I moved the net by accident.

The location near the North gate is not ideal. But nothing is perfect. There is a large parking area though.

I liked how nice the manager was towards me. I believe her name is Mon. I had complained a bit about a light fixture on the ceiling directly outside my door, and she had the maintenance team actually replace the light fixture with a whole different one with much dimmer lighting. The previous one was shining too much light into my room at night, through the surrounding door jam, I thought it was very accommodating of the staff to do this for me. Actually, any request I had to make my stay more comfortable was granted in a very pleasant way.

I stayed here 8 years ago and wanted to return on my next trip to Chiang Mai. Unfortunately, the restaurant , “Rose” , had since closed right after the pandemic of 2020, and they haven’t been able to open another dining facility, not even for breakfast. There aren’t many amenities left here, but the rooms are very clean and spacious.

No breakfast available but a range of options within a 5 minute walk.

Thin walls, should bring earplugs or turn on white noise to not be disturbed. Dust on the floor and sometimes was smelly. The spoon seemed used.

A very nice modern hotel, the location is inside the old town near the noth gate. Large rooms, LCD tv of moderate size with only 2 english channels, one of which is a soccer channel. Good wifi, though one has to log on a few times a day.

Nothing really to dislike. Some things like glass partitions in the bathroom could be cleaned a bit more thorough, but it was overall clean enough.
