The right hand bed lamp is not working. The corner cupboards in kitchen need fixing. Nice, but wildly overpriced.

When we made the bed in room with sliding door which we slept in, discovered the bed spread was quite dirty on the underneath side as we had pulled up for extra warmth (recommend cleaning), we also rearranged the duvet in the duvet cover so we were covered properly. Bathroom expelair unit did not clear steam due to venting to end of building (probably has water in it) water pooled on floor up to toilet from shower - longer shower curtain may address this.

The shower head needs replacing as it falls off the wall causing water to spray around the whole bathroom and leak onto the carpet outside the door.

There were no coat hangers or anything to hang up coats etc. Just a few coat hangers in each closet would have helped. Also the oven needs a good clean, had bits of leftovers from previous uses

Reviewed Apr 3, 2026Lovely house 2min drive from downtown Lake Tekapo. Full kitchen, large bathroom, comfortable rooms and also a very well thought living room. The host was very fast at answering my messages which is appreciated. Safe and calm neighborhood area. Rather new house.

Cheap washing machine and the door wouldn't open when finished. Needed to call company and they sent technician out. Difficult for him to fix, but he was there within about 45 mins.

Reviewed Jan 23, 2026Great room with nice facilities for cooking and laundry (washing machine with dryer). We use them to wash all our clothes and did some cooking. Beds are cozy, room is clean and bright.
TV is a bit small. Price is pretty high compared to other stays during our entire New Zealand trip. I don't understand why the staying price is so high in this whole Tekapo area... although the staying is sincerely good.

Not the fault of the property. There was an accident, resulting in power outage. The staff were excellent in communications and everything was great. Just that we did not get to use electrical appliances.

Nowhere to hang or put clothes or coats No heating in bathroom. Tiled floor very cold in winter. Nowhere to put toiletries, not even for toothbrush/toothpaste. Showercurtain too short so whole bathroom floor gets wet. Fireplace but no wood supplied.

Only one heat pump so we need to open the doors for both rooms. It would be better if both rooms have their own heat pump or at least small heater as it gets really freezing at early morning.
