Une vue exceptionnelle depuis la chambre au troisième étage sur le Grand Canal. Un petit déjeuner continental correct (sucré comme salé). Une terrasse sur le Grand Canal pour petit déjeuné/dîner fantastique. Petit plus, un port privé permettant l'utilisation de taxis privés depuis l'Hôtel. D'ailleurs, ils ont réservé un taxi pour nous lors de notre départ sur demande. Près de la gare ferroviaire, d'un petit Despar (très pratique !).

Le contrôle de l'air climatisé (il faut demander à l'accueil de l'allumer, de l'éteindre ou de régler la température). La douche de notre chambre, fuites au niveau du flexible (mais réparé dans la journée), peu de pression (vraiment pas beaucoup) pour l'eau chaude. Pommeau ancien (à changer).

der gestank im treppenhaus/lift war furchtbar. auch der weg ins nebengebäude über den unschönen hinterhof, naja. ich hatte mehr fürs geld erwartet.

Cuenta con escaleras entre el ascensor y la habitación. Por otra parte el baño se encuentra también en un escalón superior, lo que por la noche genera cierta atención mientras uno ests dormido a la noche

The employees at the hotel was so rude and the facility is old and very difficult to operate.

Upgrade auf ein Zimmer mit halbem Blick zum Canal Grande. Schöner Barbereich mit Möglichkeit eine Kleinigkeit zu essen. Abendessen im Restaurant sehr gut mit wundervollen Sitz auf der Terrasse am Canal Grande. Beim Frühstück bekam man auf Bestellung einen sehr guten Cappuccino und auch sonst alles da, was man braucht.

Ablagen im Badezimmer fehlen, so dass alles auf dem Waschbecken, kein Waschtisch, deponiert oder in der Tasche gelassen werden musste.

Location. Easy access to the train station and plenty restaurants nearby. Also the restaurant has outdoor seating facing the canal.

Room size. Although served the purpose , sleep, it was a little tight.

The hotel deserves a much higher rating than it currently has. It truly exceeded all our expectations. Everything was spotless, the suite was beautifully designed, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious, served on a stunning waterfront terrace. The same terrace is also perfect for lunch or a romantic dinner with breathtaking views. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. They were always available, attentive, and genuinely eager to accommodate any request. The level of service was unquestionably worthy of a 5 star hotel rather than a 4 star one. The hotel also has its own private dock, making it incredibly convenient for water taxis to pick you up or drop you off. Fun fact: Since Venice is full of seagulls that can be quite bold around food, the hotel has a trained falcon to keep them away during breakfast. It was such a unique and memorable touch. Another great advantage is the location. It is only a short walk from the airport (land) transfer drop off point, which makes arriving with luggage very easy. Overall, it was an outstanding experience, and both my wife and I would gladly stay here again. Highly recommended.

Check in and check out was as we expected and the staff was helpful in booking a taxi to the airport at the conclusion of our stay.

Location was excellent. Watching all the traffic go bye was exciting. Our room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was excellent too with plenty of variety.

There was a bad odour when going from reception to the second building - perhaps one of those room deodorizers might improve the smell.

Our room was lovely, clean, and had a beautiful view of the Grand Canal. There was a wide selection of food available at breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we also appreciated being able to leave our luggage at the reception on the day of our departure. The location is excellent — the city centre can easily be reached on foot, by water bus, or by water taxi.I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The pillows could have been more comfortable.

Das Zimmer war sehr groß und gut ausgestattet, wir erhielten ein Upgrade für ein Zimmer am Canal. Das hat uns besonders gefreut, da die Reise ein Geburtstagsgeschenk für meinen Mann war. Die Mitarbeiter an.der Rezeption und beim Frühstück waren sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und ein voller Genuss auf der Hotelterrasse. Der Bahnhof ist gleich in der Nähe und somit auch eine Vaporettostation.

Das Zimmer ist frisch renoviert, aber die Dusche ist etwas verplant. Man musste die sehr schwere Duschtüre immer anheben um in die Dusche zu gelangen. Ich schaffte es nicht, so musste mir immer mein in die Dusche rein und raus helfen. Eine große Enttäuschung war, dass wir uns abends nicht für einen Drink auf die Hotelterrasse setzen durften. Das war nur erlaubt, wenn man auch etwas gegessen hat. Wir haben es 2x versucht und obwohl es schon später am Abend war (ca. 21:00/22:00 Uhr) und auch nur mehr wenige Tische besetzt waren, wurde es uns vom Kellner untersagt. Auch die Erwähnung, dass wir Hotelgäste sind half nichts.

For our family this was the best location for water taxi to bring us and our luggage to the hotel, not having to walk thru town. Having breakfast every morning and sitting on the grand canal was a treat. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. Was nice to come back to after walking in the heat. Lots of great restaurants around. This was more than we expected coming from America and I’d book in a heartbeat again. Breakfast was great each morning and the staff was so pleasant and helpful.

Nothing to not like but just a heads up that construction is still being done, remodeling the rest of the rooms. (Rooms are nicely updated and bathrooms) Some heard the noise. The pigeons always outside trying to get your food but the staff was constantly getting them away.

Die einzigen zwei Pluspunkte waren: die Terrasse zum Frühstücken & die Lage, da wir mit dem Zug angereist sind.

Mein zweiter Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war leider eine große Enttäuschung. Wir erhielten zunächst ein Superior-Zimmer mit einem massiven Wasserschaden – das Wasser tropfte direkt über das Bett. Statt uns sofort ein passendes Ersatzzimmer anzubieten, mussten wir mehrere Zimmer besichtigen. Zunächst hieß es, es sei nichts frei, obwohl über Booking noch Zimmer verfügbar waren. Beim Zimmerwechsel mussten wir unser gesamtes Gepäck selbst ein- und auspacken sowie über die Treppen tragen. Hilfe wurde uns nicht angeboten. Auch das neue Zimmer entsprach weder einem Superior-Zimmer noch dem Standard eines Vier-Sterne-Hotels. Die Sauberkeit ließ ebenfalls zu wünschen übrig. Leider war auch der Service enttäuschend. Es gab weder eine Entschuldigung noch Entgegenkommen. Außerdem bekamen wir mehrere Konflikte zwischen Hotelgästen und dem Personal mit. Trotz zahlreicher Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption herrschte beim Check-in großes Chaos, sodass viele Gäste lange auf ihre Zimmer warten mussten. Schade – mein erster Aufenthalt vor zwei Jahren war deutlich besser. Dieses Mal entsprach das Hotel aus meiner Sicht nicht dem Niveau eines Vier-Sterne-Hauses.

Top Lage direkt am Canale Grande, schöne und saubere Zimmer, das Personal ist sehr bemüht und freundlich! Das Hotel ist ideal, wenn man mit dem Zug anreist! Nur wenige Gehminuten vom Bahnhof entfernt und man ist schnell das Gepäck los und kann sich für eine Erkundungstour in Venedig frisch machen!

Was supposed to be a double bed but it was just 2 single beds pushed together. Our room in older section of the hotel so looked tired. Shower over bath leaked flooding floor. No daily water bottle replacement. Most expensive accommodation on our trip but least value for money.

Fifth time to Venice. First time at the Metropole. WOW WOW WOW we loved it!!! Personally I like the Cannareggio neighborhood because it is far less crowded, I like to walk a lot, and it I sclose to train bus or taxi to airport. I have traveled in to Venice by personal car, by plane, and by train. This time I flew to VCE and took a private water taxi in and that was an exceptional experience to hop right off of it and at BW Premier Collection CHC Continental ( or Hotel Continental as everyone calls it) The staff were great and the hallways were a hoot ... as the very nice bellman from Sri Lanka said (regarding the upcoming stairs) when we got off the elevator with my bags: "Now go up, then down, then up!" A most helpful prompt after he left! Breakfast was fab, we also had a terrific lunch on their Grand Canal terrace. My cousin and I each had rooms on the second floor. Very comfortable and for two nights. Of course we could hear the streets vendors setting up early in the morning, and we were made to consider more about what work conditions in such a popular, beautiful place. This didn't bother us-- we visit places to observe and learn. We stored our luggage for a night and went over to Burano for a peaceful place to sit outside at a Michelin restaurant (and after the throngs of tourists had returned to Venice). The continental was prompt and helpful is getting our luggage out of storage the next day and we appreciated that. We had hoped to have some other hands porter our luggage to the train station but that didn't work out. It was a big deal because the crowds were so thick, it could have been harder with a trolley than just lugging them ourselves.

The location is just perfect, within walking distance (if you manage to drag your luggage) from the train and the bus stations. But above all, we booked a room with "canal view", meaning that the room overlooked the Grand Canal!

The room was spacious and clean. We were very happy with the facilities. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help to make our stay enjoyable. The food in the restaurant was lovely and good value and it was very nice to eat on the terrace by the grand canal.

Very convenient location to get from and to airports. Train and bus stations are nearby with not too many bridges along the way. Beautiful terrace on the canal in the breakfast hall. Standard room is decent size, very clean, no carpet on the floor. Fluffy towels and bathrobes.

Breakfast could be better. Not too big a choice, hot dishes were yucky (soggy mushrooms, overcooked vegetables and rice). From a 4* holel I expected eggs station or possiblity to order the way I liked. But they had only scrambled and hard boiled (always cold). An omelette was available only for additional 8€. Bakery and sweets were very good though.

Breakfast was outstanding, with a view to the canal. Complimentary room upgrade was very nice!

A localização muito boa . Pudemos chegar e sair com malas p o aeroporto de táxi barco. Apartamento amplo , banheiro ótimo, café da manhã completissimo, próximo da ferrovia e da rodoviária. Bom isolamento acústico. Ótimos restaurantes nas imediações.

Location right on Grand Canal was huge. No lugging on bags through Venice to get to a backstreet hotel. Food and Service were excellent. Easy walk to train station as well.

La ubicación y el restaurante. Podes hacer todo caminando desde el hotel o tomar el vaporeto. El desayuno era bueno y el restaurante tmb estaba muy bien

Al segundo día nos cambiaron de habitación porque estábamos en el primer piso frente al canal y no se podía dormir del ruido constante. Ya que justo es una calle interna y hacen cargas y descargas de todo tipo , nos pasaron al tercer piso tmb con vistas al canal y pudimos descansar súper bien

Limited dinner options and main dining has little ambiance if you cant sit on the canal balcony if booked up Also no proper lounge area and no conditioner or handcream in bathroom. My pillow was too hard and not down so I could not reshape it.
