We had such a lovely time here with the family. The resort is really peaceful and relaxing, which we loved. It never felt crowded and was just a nice place to slow down and enjoy a few days together. We spent lots of time by the pool and really enjoyed the location. Bang Tao is beautiful and everything around Laguna is easy to reach. The kickboxing was also great fun! We really enjoyed doing something a little different and it was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. But what we enjoyed most was just the feeling of the place. Very relaxed, friendly people and everyone made us feel welcome. We had a great time and would definitely come back again

We had such a lovely 5 nights here with the family. Absolutely loved our pool suite, especially sitting outside and watching the amazing sunsets in the evening! We weren’t so lucky with the weather unfortunately, so didn’t get to enjoy the beach as much as we would have liked.. but we still had a great time around the resort and by the pool. A special mention to Orly at the pool who was an absolute joy! Always smiling, making us lovely drinks and bringing fresh coconuts. Also really enjoyed the kickboxing with Oat, great fun and something a bit different! Overall a really relaxing family getaway, lovely people and lots of good memories. We’ll definitely miss those sunsets!

Last Saturday, on Switzerland’s National Day, we had the pleasure of attending the celebration at Mövenpick Bangtao Beach Phuket. We also decided to spend the night at the resort, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. Our Private Pool Villa was absolutely beautiful. The warm and elegant interior design created a truly relaxing atmosphere, while the peaceful surroundings and stunning lagoon views made our stay even more memorable. Every member of the staff was exceptionally welcoming, courteous, and professional, making us feel genuinely well cared for throughout our visit. The resort is conveniently located just a short walk from the beach, allowing us to enjoy the sea with ease whenever we wished. Breakfast was another highlight of our stay, offering an impressive variety of delicious dishes to suit every taste. Without a doubt, our experience exceeded our expectations, and we are already looking forward to returning to Mövenpick Bangtao Beach Phuket in the near future. It is a place we will happily recommend to anyone seeking comfort, tranquility, and genuine hospitality.

من اول يوم للاسف طلع علينا وزغ كبير كانه ولد التمساح ودخل في فتحة النت في السقف بالمنتجع الشاليه اللي ساكنين فيها بلغناهم ماسووا شيء ولا غيروا شاليهنا ولاشيء حتى تعامل الموظفين عند الدخول ماكان فيه سلاسه دفعونا قيمة شخصين للعلم انا مبلغتهم قبل في الحجز وكاتبه العدد لان حجزي لخمسه اشخاص وشخص اضافي وكل شيء كان موضح لهم بالححز بس كان فيه سوء وعدم سلاسه بالموضوع صراحة وزائد انه بعيد عن كل شيء ومتعب الطريق في الروحة والجية ومااتوقع اني راح احجز فيه بعد كذا للاسف

What a great hotel to stay in - we stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with a lake view. Spacious rooms, great views, very accessible to the pool and main restaurant. Good breakfast offering, room service food options & quality was excellent, housekeeping did an excellent job on a daily basis, staff were very friendly especially - Boy, Gavin, Mild and Orlando.

Amazing stay starting from smooth checkin and warm welcoming process. Each day starting from breakfest we were always well hosted and all extra wishes where always done. The Resort has very spacious rooms and loved the 2 bedroom villa concept with a fully functional kitchen and a private pool facing the ocean. Also a proper 45 m pool is great for swimming.

The interior finishes are a little old and could use a little sprucing up at places. Service could a little bit efficient and smoother. Some more initiative from the staff would make this property a 100%.

Tucked into the coveted Laguna and Bang Tao neighbourhood — one of Phuket's most refined and low-density stretches of coastline — the Mövenpick Resort Bang Tao is a property that earns its place in this upmarket neighbourhood with quiet confidence. We stayed in the two-bedroom sea-facing private pool villa for six nights, and it came remarkably close to perfect. The villa itself is generous in every sense. A sweeping 45 m pool dominates the outdoor space, offering genuine seclusion and the kind of unhurried swim that makes you forget what day it is. Privacy here is not a selling point — it is simply a given, and that is rarer than it should be at this price point. Step beyond the property and you are on Bang Tao Beach at its finest: wide, white-sanded, and blissfully uncrowded, with charming beach shacks that server drinks and simple food to upmarket beach clubs that serve amazing cocktails and gourmet food without any of the tourist-trap pretension found elsewhere on the island. The architecture of the resort is one of its quiet pleasures and my favourite feature of the property. Steep-pitched rooflines, warm teak detailing, and pavilion-style structures rooted in classical Thai design give the property a sense of place and cultural grounding that many international resort brands fail entirely to achieve. The staff are genuinely warm and consistently polite — smiles are real, not rehearsed. Breakfast is not a sprawling international buffet, nor does it pretend to be, but what is on offer is thoughtfully curated with high-quality ingredients and executed with care. For six mornings, it never disappointed. The interiors of the villa do show their age — finishes could do with some refreshing — but rather than feeling neglected, they carry an old-world charm that softens the edges of a stay and makes the space feel lived-in and human rather than showroom-sterile. If there is one note for the management, it is this: the service, while always pleasant and responsive, tends to be reactive rather than anticipatory. A great resort at this level should be reading its guests and acting a step ahead — that initiative, when present, is what elevates good hospitality into something truly memorable. Our 6 days here felt like exactly the right amount of time to do nothing particularly well. That is the highest compliment a villa resort can receive.

Personel inanılmaz kibar ve yardım sever. Ne sorsak, ne istesek, olması için ellerinden geleni yaptılar. Otel yanında kocaman bir sahil var. Sessiz ve sakin. Otelin bir kısmı Laguna bakıyor.

Her şey çok güzeldi. Gürültü, kalabalık arıyorsanız burası orası değil. Kötü birşey aklıma gelmiyor.

Lovely resort on the best beach in Phuket

We had to move rooms as our ac didnt work and was not checked properly. once sorted was perfect but annoying to move at midnight.

It’s not regular Mövenpick… breakfast was bad, I had to ask guys to fix AC 2 times in first two days.

Very nice peaceful and spacious well looked after hotel. Breakfast excellent .Stayed in Villa with pool by the beach. Excellent staff. Would stay again . Away from the centre of Bang Tao, good to have a car . Boat avenue shops & restaurants nearby.

Staff were so wonderful from reception team Mr. Gavin and JC to Service team in breakfast, concierge and security are all very friendly and happy to offer help to make the stay nicer. The breakfast is so delecious, I would book again for this breakfast, all tropical fruits, fresh waffles and crepe, English Breakfast, Nutella, Real Honey, Yougurt, fresh Coffee and pastry just so delicious. We booked a basic room but the hotel upgraded our room to Villa as we were on honeymoon and Gavin treated us to an upgrade that we will not forget, and will def love to book with Movenpick again. The Villa is spacious and amazing design where the bed room is surrounded by the pool.

Location and layout of the royal jacuzzi 3 bedroom suite as well as the 2 bedroom pool suite. Staff of the hotel was excellent with their services, but hampered by poor and crumbling facilities. Special mention to the housekeeping and serving staff... They were really excellent,

We were a big family group. On the first day when we switched on the jacuzzi, it started spewing filthy brown water. The technician managed to fix this overnight, but, then the water in the Jacuzzi would not heat. They took 2 days to solve this. On the third day it started working properly, but, we could not switch it off. In the 2 bedroom apartment with the pool, the air conditioning worked intermittently and the outlets were leaking water on the floor. The air conditioners were not cooling and switched off intermittently on their own. This property is much more expensive then surrounding 5 star properties, but not worth the price. I must mention that the manager gave me a small credit on account of the malfunctioning jacuzzi for the first 2 days.

Movenpick Phuket Bangtao - We just got back from a quick escape from Hong Kong with a friend and spent three nights here, exactly what we needed. The rooms were super spacious and really comfortable, which made it easy to just switch off and relax. The location is great too, right on the beach, so you can just walk out and enjoy it. We came the weekend right after Songkran, so it was not too busy, which actually made it even nicer and more relaxed. All the staff have been super friendly and helpful, especially with arranging trips, and the Thai food was absolutely sensational. Overall perfect management, really a great stay, surely we'll back our thumbs up!

My stay at the Mövenpick hotel was unfortunately disappointing. The cleanliness was very poor, and the furniture especially the wooden elements appeared old and not as shown in the photos. Additionally, there was a complete lack of privacy, which made the stay uncomfortable. Another major concern was the laundry service. The costs were not disclosed upfront, and I was surprised to be charged 5,200 THB for just two laundry bags with fewer than 20 items. This pricing is highly unreasonable and should have been clearly communicated in advance. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations, and I would not recommend this hotel based on my stay.

Beautiful hotel with a wonderful swimming pool right in front of a lovely beach to swim and enjoy unforgettable sunsets. The rooms are immense with everything clean perfect. The hotel staff was so kind and helpful, always attentive, specially Gavin, who took care of our family all the time we spent there. Definitely would recommend this hotel!

My impressions of this hotel are extremely positive. The hotel itself is small and has a gated area right next to the beach. The food is varied and delicious. The staff is beyond praise. The hotel manager personally oversees all matters. I would especially like to thank Gavin. Thank you so much! We would gladly return to this hotel again.

Everything is fine

We booked a 3 bedroom residence. Inside was wonderful and the views outside were magnificent. Our checkout with Yean was also pretty good. The breakfast was top tier, with sufficient options.

The AC was not working on the first night and they came and fixed, but we had to call them again on the second night. We also had to go up a flight of stairs to get to the elevator which took us to our room. This was very difficult with 2 children and lifting 2 strollers. The kids play area could use an upgrade.

Was able to relax here, not overcrowded. Pool area was great. Employees was very helpful. Beach across the road very good, Rooms was clean and had good space

This place was amazing! The service and food were fantastic. The accommodations were beautiful. The staff was so nice, especially Orlando! I would highly recommend this hotel.

La gentillesse et le professionnalisme du personnel, le confort du lit, le petit déjeuner et la qualité du dîner quoique très cher. Nous avons eu la chambre tout de suite le matin tôt en arrivant et ainsi nous avons pu profiter de la journée. Une assiette avec des fruits bien fournie nous y attendait. Il y avait des bouteilles d’eau tous les jours mises à notre disposition gratuitement. A noter que l’eau du robinet n’est pas potable. La belle plage se trouve à l’extérieur de l’enceinte de l’hôtel et il faut traverser une rue. Par contre les transats appartiennent à des personnes privées et sont payants.

Quand nous réservons par Booking nous avons en général les chambres les moins bien de l’établissement. Ça fait réfléchir pour les futures réservations. Nous avons eu une chambre au dessus des cuisines et,même si le personnel faisait attention, nous étions gênés le matin très tôt quand il arrivait et le soir tard quand il partait. Dans la chambre il y avait une chaise mais pas de table. Je doute par ailleurs si la chambre faisait vraiment 33 mètres carrés comme annoncé. La salle de bain était petite et nous n’avions pas de place pour poser nos affaires ni pour accrocher les serviettes. En plus la chasse d’eau ne fonctionnait pas correctement et nous avons fait venir deux fois un réparateur. Il faut noter que l’hôtel est en réalité une résidence avec des appartements, une piscine et une salle pour les repas. Les chambres « « classiques » comme la nôtre doivent être l’exception. Il n’y a ni de lobby proprement dit, ni de salle/salon pour prendre une boisson et se détendre. Tout doit se passer dans les appartements / chambres. Heureusement que l’air conditionné fonctionnait bien dans notre chambre.

We stayed at this hotel with our family in January 2026. Everything was great: good room service, reasonable prices at the local restaurant, and large buffet dinners on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It was very close to the beach, less than a minute's walk. The staff was always super polite and responded to our requests; a special THANK’s to the lovely girl named FANG!!! 🙏 you are the best!!!! 🙂

The condition of the facilities. The hotel is beyond tired. The pics show something very different from reality. Will definitely not go back. The breakfast was also not to be recommended.

However the international Food could be improved, the spaghetti bolognese didnt taste Italian. Its sad that you cant see the beautiful sea from the hotel if you dont have rooms facing the sea.

Отель реально уставший, ему нужен ремонт и срочно, все уже старое и обветшалое. Жили в люксе с двумя спальнями и бассейном.

The staff are exceptionally friendly and efficient. They clearly like working here and that made our stay more enjoyable. The pool is large and there was never any problem getting sun loungers even over the Christmas holidays. The rooms are very large. It is easy to get to and from the beach by foot and it is only a 10/15 min taxi ride to Boat Ave restaurants.

There is a limited number of TV channels but the staff did offer to help us with an HDMI cable if we needed for use with a lap top. The restaurant menu is a little limited with seemingly a wider choice available though room service.

Facilities and services are great. The Christmas Eve buffet is one of the highlights. Location could not be better with very easy access to the beach and few minutes drive to local stores. The arranged one day tour of islands hopping is wonderful. Overall, it is a great destination for family with kids. Highly recommended!

Stayed at Movenpick Bang Tao between 4-11 DEC and to be honest the hotel worth what we paid for . Starting from the amazing staff there( Honey , JC , Ali , Gavin and the entire team.. ) that made our stay great and outstanding. We booked two bedroom with pool and the room was neat , specious with an amazing view . Pool was great and the beach is super close to the hotel ( 22 steps as JC used to say ) We arrived early but Gavin welcomed us with a smile and told us that our room is ready and we can check in early that gave us the smile after long flight . Last but not least special thank you for ( Honey ) . She is an amazing person and all my family loved her ( even my daughter wrote her thank you letter when we left ) I would like to come back to Movenpick Bang Tao again and again

We absolutely loved our stay. The hotel is fantastic and the staff were incredible, always helpful and attentive with everything from organising tours to arranging golf trips, especially Mick. The kids had an amazing time with the pool toys, particularly the inflatable jet ski, and really enjoyed the kickboxing classes. The location is unbeatable, right on the beach, with plenty of great restaurants nearby. The buffet nights at the hotel were excellent, and Orly at the pool bar was wonderful. We would happily return.

First the pros : - great location and close to everything in Laguna - on the beach front so you walk out to the beach - very helpful staff The cons - very dated rooms and old interiors. Should be rated 4* not 5 star - below average breakfast and very small area for the same. - only one restaurant so no choice at all - small hotel, the pictures are a little misleading and lots of stairs everywhere

The place is amazing. The people are amazing! Very close to the beach and laguna . Also oasis spa. Our host , Fang is amazing and very friendly and nice.

it is already a bit older, but the charm is there - great breakfast, great location (ie directly at the beach), other restaurants nearby. the pool is great with basketball hoops and other games for kids. there is a pingpong table by the pool which we used extensively. my son used the gym and was very happy with it. as it rained a lot we spent a lot of time in our room - glad we had booked the 2-bedroom studio which was super spacious. the staff were suuuuuper friendly - those at the pool, at the restaurant especially.

1. Не дождаться горячей воды в душе в одной из спален. 2.5 минуты приходится стоять и ждать( 2. Сломан кран подачи воды в биде в туалете. Течет и нет напора. 3. Не работает аудио центр. Мы в этом номере второй или третий раз, всё как и было . Не ремонтируют(( 4. Не всегда на совесть убирают утром. То полотенца не поменяют. То принадлежности не пополнят. Пыль по углам не убирают. Веранду не подметают. Если на рецепции пожалуешься, то моментально приходят.

We stayed in penthouse 3 bedrooms. We had a pleasure stay with warm welcome and hospitality. We had some issue during staying but all solved professionally by management team and well coordinated with front office team and head of housekeeping came to apologize at the room. Khun Pleug was very nice and helpful to us. Front office assistant manager too. For the entertainment staff, i can say Orly did amazing jobs. I saw him everywhere from breakfast to the pool. Well manners and service. Overall we were very happy and hopefully to come back again.

The property is large and luxurious. All amenities are available. The staff are amazing, very friendly, and extremely helpful.

Highly recommend the Movenpick if you’re looking for a quieter, smaller resort that is family friendly

Overall, a great time! Huge shout out to Kehvan and Orly! These two kind gentlemen are the most amazing and hospitable people I have come across. Honestly, these two legends have made my stay at the Mövenpick so much more enjoyable. I consider them friends of mine now. They treated me like family instead of a guest, and as a solo traveller, I appreciate that a lot. 100% recommended this resort!

We stayed for two nights in a suite that accommodated seven. The resort itself was fantastic, but the staff are why we would return. A special shout out to Orly, Fang, Rainy, Pla, and Mick. Amazing humans who went out of their way to make our stay special. The property itself was lovely — spacious, clean, and beautifully maintained. We especially liked how quiet it was during the low season, which made it feel very relaxing. The kids also loved the motorised toys available to use, which was a fun touch. We’ll aim to return at a similar time of year. We were also glad we knew about the Grab app, which made it very easy to book taxis — and at a lower cost than through the hotel. One observation – the staff seem to work very long hours. This was never reflected in their service, which was consistently outstanding from morning through to night. It simply stood out to me as a guest. In Thailand there is a lot of advertising encouraging visitors to choose ethical elephant experiences, which we think is wonderful. It also made us reflect on how important it is, as travellers, to consider the wellbeing of the people who make our stays so memorable. I want to emphasise that this isn’t a criticism of this resort – the staff here were absolutely incredible – just that for our family, one of the biggest drawcards in choosing where to return is the confidence that staff are well supported behind the scenes.

הזמנתי בטעות שני לילות למקום הזה כאשר למעשה הייתי מעוניינת במובן פיק השני. המלון ראה שלא התייצבתי ללילה! ראה ששילמתי בטעות! לא יצר קשר וגבה את הכסף כאשר פניתי אליו והסברתי שהוא כבר ״הרויח״ לילה אחד בחינם ואני מבקשת לבטל את הלילה השני מכיון שלא למלון הזה התכוונתי אלא למובן פיק השני בתוך העיר הוא הודיע לי שזה ״התראה קצרה מדי״ גניבה לאור היום! חרפה!
