We had a wonderful night at Hotel Arimoto. We were very satisfied with its services, amenities, locations, and the super delicious dinner and breakfast. We need to give special thanks to Suehiro-san, who presented us what is professional Japanese hospitality and services. She gave us detailed explanations of our room facilities, the custom and traditional way to use the amenities, and clear introduction of the beautiful keiseki set dinner.

Hôtel merveilleusement situé avec vue sur la baie, à quelques minutes à pied du sanctuaire d’Itsukushima et du célèbre torii. Le service de navette depuis et vers l’embarcadère est également très pratique avec les bagages. Grâce à Kyawt, notre séjour s’est très bien passé : très accueillante et attentionnée, elle a été aux petits soins avec nous durant presque tout notre séjour. Merci beaucoup! Le dîner kaiseki était une véritable expérience : des plats nombreux, raffinés et joliment présentés. L’onsen est très agréable et permet de bien se détendre le matin très tôt ou après une journée de visite. Une très belle expérience sur l’île de Miyajima ! 2 chambres : 1 belle chambre rénovée, cependant la 2e un peu vieillotte

La chambre avec deux lits simple était très bien mais un peu vieillotte comparé à notre chambre double.

Mi aspettavo maggiori servizi da un albergo di questo livello, per esempio un servizio massaggi o trattamenti per il relax e bellezza. A colazione ci hanno consigliato come orario le 8,30 ma poi mentre eravamo a tavola ci hanno detto che alle 9 la sala chiudeva.

Struttura fantastica in un ottima posizione per visitare l isola, dotata di tutti i confort incluso l Onsen. Personale molto gentile e ottima cena e prima colazione.

Le cadre, l'ambiance, la gentillesse du personnel, le Onsen et la qualité et l'esthétique des repas. L'hôtel est à proximité (3 min.) du centre de l'île et une navette nous récupère et nous ramène depuis le ferry, vraiment top.

接駁車服務相當方便，離神社也很近，夜間及早晨的導覽雖然只有日文，但透過翻譯內容精彩值得參加。

Booking上寫日式海景房，但飯店方表示日式房型只有山景，希望繁體中文版能更正一下房型名稱。

Non lascio recensioni di solito ma qui mi tocca farlo. Ragazzi che esperienza, questo si che si chiama vivere il Giappone, alloggiato in camera tatami con vista montagna e che dire, favoloso. Io e la mia ragazza siamo rimasti a bocca aperta, un ricordo che non andrà via facilmente. Tutto perfetto, pulizia ottima, accoglienza sopra le righe, addirittura uno dello staff che ti accompagna in giro in questo gigantesco hotel stile tour turistico compreso di stanza, cena e colazione. Nemmeno fosse un hotel di lusso. Il prezzo è più alto della media degli hotel in giappone ma li spenderei volentieri un'altra volta. Addirittura hanno i negozi dentro l'hotel e un giardino con tanto di rane e carpe. Ti forniscono anche il kimono da notte che noi abbiamo usato per passeggiare nelle stradine la sera e la mattina presto per farci le foto. Onsen pure incluso se voleste farvi anche quell'esperienza. Unica nota dolente parlo per noi italiani, il caffè non è il massimo e per chi sceglie la colazione hanno solo stile giapponese (pesce e ostriche) e stile americano (uova e bacon).

Le repas est de très bonne qualité, un peu copieux. Choix de 2 petits déjeuners : japonais ou continental. Excellent. Les chambres vues mer sont spacieuses, bien équipées et tout est très propre.

Un manque de serviettes dans les chambres. Pas d'eau dans les chambres alors que tous les hôtels japonais en mettent à disposition.

Un alojamiento diferente, mi habitación era un apartamento japonés, todo en materiales naturales y decoración japonesa, con un trato exquisito, muy amables, muy agradable y bonito. El baño público impecable y me gustó la experiencia que nunca la había tenido.

El precio, es caro pero merece la pena. Tienes que decidir antes de ir si quieres desayunar o cenar en el hotel y lo tienes que encargar

Die Lage ist sehr schön, man kann alles zu Fuß erkunden. Das Japanische Menue und Frühstück waren spannend und gut.

Wir sind als Familie mit 4 Erwachsenen gereist und haben in einem Zimmer mit 2 Futon Betten geschlafen- ein Bad. Das würden wir nicht noch einmal buchen. Abreise - die Zimmer sind bis 10 Uhr zu räumen - das war Stress pur - 4 Personen in einem Zimmer. Wir wollten dann in der Lobby noch einen Kaffee trinken. Es kam eine Servicekraft mit dem Staubsauger - kam uns wie ein Rausschmiss vor.

Une très belle expérience sur l’île de Miyajima ! L’hôtel bénéficie d’un emplacement exceptionnel, à quelques minutes à pied du sanctuaire d’Itsukushima et du célèbre torii. Y séjourner permet de profiter de l’île dans une ambiance beaucoup plus calme, une fois les visiteurs de la journée repartis. Le personnel était très accueillant, attentionné et aux petits soins. Le service de navette depuis et vers l’embarcadère est également très pratique avec les bagages. La chambre, de style japonais traditionnel, était spacieuse, propre et confortable. L’onsen est très agréable et permet de bien se détendre après une journée de visite. Le dîner kaiseki était une véritable expérience : des plats nombreux, raffinés et joliment présentés. Le petit-déjeuner japonais était lui aussi copieux et de grande qualité. L’établissement n’est pas tout récent et certains éléments peuvent paraître un peu datés, mais il est très bien entretenu et possède beaucoup de charme. Une excellente adresse pour vivre une expérience japonaise traditionnelle et profiter pleinement de la magie de Miyajima !

Le principal bémol reste le prix. Même si la qualité du service, les repas et l’emplacement exceptionnel contribuent à rendre le séjour agréable, nous avons finalement trouvé le tarif assez élevé.

Alles was luxe sereen. We hadden een upgrade tegen vergoeding met ons gezin. Een privébad met sauna. De kaiseki was super goed. Ook voor niet vleeseters en vegetariërs. Een geweldige once in a lifetime ervaring. Super dicht bij de tori en shrine. Om 06.15 liepen we in onze pyjama’s naar de tori en shrine het was rustig en sereen….

We loved experiencing something a little more traditional. We slept in one of the ryokan style rooms and wore the yukatas. The 10 course kaiseki meal was an experience too. The Japanese garden was beautiful and had lots of koi fish in the ponds. The onsen was beautiful and felt like a real spa experience. The staff were so attentive - we’ve never experienced service like it.

Le diner et le petit déjeuner n’ont pas été à notre goût. Nous avons préfère d’autres restaurants gastronomiques lors de notre voyage. Nous avons trouvé les parties communes froides et peu accueillantes.

Everything! The staff were so friendly and we had a beautiful spacious room with a large tatami room as well which was where our three children slept. It was a lovely traditional hotel and the dinner and breakfast was incredible.

Excellent service from the staff team. They were kind despite our lack of fluent Japanese and explained everything clearly in English. The meals were all exquisite and beautifully presented, and our host took the time to explain each dish and the local specialties to us. The baths were also well kept and made for a relaxing and refreshing experience. The rooms were also very spacious and comfortable with great amenities, plus being able to go for a night walk in Yukata was a bonus. You do pay a premium to stay on Miyajima overnight, but given the experience we had my partner and I both thought it was definitely worth it.

Such a beautiful hotel, comfortable beds and all the amenities for a Ryokan were right there. The staff were genuinely attentive in a way that made the whole stay very warm and pleasant. And the shuttle to and from the ferry was such a thoughtful touch.

Posizione eccezionale, due passi e si è subito nella via principale. Camera con vasca privata sulla terrazza col vista Tori e Pagoda, bellissima! La stanza era enorme e con tutto ciò che serviva, con un sacco di prodotti omaggio del L'occitane. Cena Kaiseki favolosa e colazione giapponese molto abbondante. Qualche macchia nel tatami e in una poltroncina della zona trucco in camera, per il resto tutto bellissimo. Ottimo anche il servizio a/r dal ferry.

宿泊日が母が誕生日だったこともあり、サプライズでケーキを注文してましたので、ケーキを入れるタイミング等事前に細かく聞いてくださり配慮いただきました。それだけでも十分すぎるおもてなしでしたが、夕食の会場でまさかのサプライズがあり、さらに感動しました。有もとさんのおもてなし最高です。母も喜んでおりました。

The hotel is in a great location with easy walking to all that the island has to offer. The free shuttle is handy for arrival and departure although I liked the second driver better as they were more mellow! The food was amazing, definitely in our top 3 of many restaurants during our 3 week trip in Japan. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff were very kind and gave great suggestions for things to do during our 2 night stay. Island was magical, loved the ropeway and walking to the top of the island. Wandering to the gate at night in our Yukata was serene. Temple to the right of the hotel was fantastic and definitely worth a half day visit.

Wish the hotel made people leave their shoes at reception like other places we stayed as it may have mitigated what seemed like the smell of deer on the 3rd floor.

Lo mejor la atención del personal y, en nuestro caso, del señor Matsumoto que fue increíblemente amable. Las instalaciones están muy bien y pudimos disfrutar del onsen. Las dos cenas y el desayuno muy bien, abundancia y diversidad. Además está a 2 minutos caminando del santuario y poco más de Omotesando. Muy recomendable.

Uitstekende service, personeel stond altijd klaar om te helpen. Bijzonder vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Spreken goed Engels. Het Japanse diner was uitstekend, bijzonder smakelijk. De (persoonlijke) bediening gaf goed uitleg over de verschillende gerechten, en ook over hoe de gerechten gegeten moeten worden. Idem bij het Japans ontbijt. Aanrader!

Hotel preferito di tutto il viaggio in Giappone. Ti senti coccolato e accolto appena varchi la soglia. Gentilezza infinita e ambiente super accogliente, un giardino giapponese che lascia senza parole. Stanza meravigliosa con tatami e letti. Onsen all'interno. Area fumatori zen all'aperto. Consiglio la cena in hotel, esperienza unica e cibo eccezionale. A due passi al torii galleggiante e dalla via piena di negozietti. Consiglio a tutti di rimane a dormire sull'isola e di soggiornare qui.

Diversamente da altri hotel in Giappone, l'accoglienza è stata meno ricca, in termini di amenities/facilities. Il nostro traghetto partiva presto al mattino, speravamo nel loro servizio taxi ma non è stato possibile. Per un hotel di questo livello, l'aspettativa nei servizi era superiore.

Excellent Japanese hotel with a significant minority of foreigners also staying here. Included dinner and breakfast were wonderful, hotel onsen was comfortable. Pickup and return from ferry stations included for us too. The Great Torii is right outside!

La cena era veramente buona, posizione perfetta per esplorare la zona.

Se proprio devo dire qualcosa, come tutto il Giappone, sono eccessivamente rispettosi.

We enjoyed literally everything: the staff, the food, the service, the location and the experience of a Ryokan, with a Japanese room. The private Onsen in the room and the access to the lounge was just the cherry on top, for a family with a teen.

Prestation et service irréprochables au Grand Hôtel Arimoto ! Accueil très professionnel, personnel aux petits soins. Repas Kaiseki délicieux avec des produits locaux. L'hôtel est idéalement situé, à proximité du port ferry, du temple, du tori, du départ pour la randonnée du Mont Misen. Un de nos meilleurs souvenirs du Japon !

La chambre idem sur les photos. Le fait d’avoir à disposition un kimono rend l’expérience plus authentique. L’hôtel dispose d’un bain public (femmes et hommes séparés) et c’est très agréable et avec tout l’équipement nécessaire (serviettes, brosse, sèche cheveux, coton, gel nettoyant corps et cheveux, ect).

Nous avons eu une chambre vu sur les machines à Clim. Donc la nuit on entendais tourner les machines et de même nous avons eu comme bruit comme un bâton qui tapait sur le sol ( 3 fois dans la nuit à des temps différents). La literie est inconfortable (matelas et coussin très dur). Nous avons trouvé que le rapport qualité/prix pour un 4 étoiles n’étais pas correct.

We stayed for one night in Miyajima and I'm a bit conflicted on how to rate this hotel. + The staff was very helpful and polite (maybe too polite). + The hotel is fairly easy to access, as it's a 12 minute walk from the port. + I don't think I need to comment about the surrounding area. It's Miyajima. It's gorgeous. + The room was extremely spacious and had all the amenities that you could need. + The beds were big and comfortable.

- I was saying how the staff is maybe too polite. To expand on that, I think the check in took somewhere around 30-40 minutes because the staff took out a map and started explaining to us what we can do around Miyajima, then presented each and every single facility of the room. That's very nice, I'm not saying it isn't, but I think they should ask you if you want that or not because it takes a lot of time and not everybody needs it. It wasn't our first time in Miyajima, we were familiar with the place and knew what we wanted to do. We told the staff that, but they continued nonetheless. We were in a hurry to check in and start going through our plan, but wasted a lot of time because of that and we felt it wouldn't be polite to tell them to speed things up. I really appreciate the thoughtfulness and it's nice to see such attentiveness, but it really should be on a request basis. Also, I'm not going to fault the hotel for being dated. Things get old, that's normal, however, there were a few things that in my opinion are not acceptable, especially at this price. - The outdoor bath tub was dirty, especially the areas surrounding it which was a bit shocking to see. I wouldn't have expected to see this at such a highly rated hotel. - The pillows for the outdoor seats were stained and moldy. Those things should be considered consumables as they're very cheap to replace. - Even around the room I could notice spots that weren't properly cleaned. If the cleanliness aspect was fixed, I would clearly recommend this hotel because overall it's amazing, especially if you get one of the open air bath rooms, but as it stands, I think the price is just too steep for what it offers. I've paid less for similar accommodations that were spotless and modern, so this one is a though sell

Nous avons séjourné une nuit dans cet hôtel aux prestations et service impeccables. La vue de la chambre sur les montagnes était très jolie. Nous avons pu profiter d'un dîner et d'un petit-déjeuner traditionnel, une belle expérience. Le onsen était très agréable et tranquille avec des plages horaires larges. L'île de Miyajima est un de nos meilleurs souvenirs. On recommande totalement.

We stayed in the Japanese style room with mountain view. It was a lovely place to stay, conveniently located, the facilities were excellent and the staff were so helpful and kind. There is also a free shuttle bus to bring you to the ferry terminal when you leave too. We really enjoyed our stay and we appreciated the efforts that the staff went to in making us feel welcome!
