Abbey View Cottage Extension

Bed was really comfortable. Plenty of towels and spare pillows. Sofa had blankets to snuggle under. Nice touch having tea/coffee/milk as a starter pack. Garden had patio furniture great addition for warm days

The bathroom was off the bedroom separated by a petition but no door. A door would be a recommendation

The instructions for access were very clear. The property is incredibly welcoming, and the owner is extremely helpful. The view of the abbey is wonderful.

Ho trovato due ragni sopra alle piastre dove cuocere la cena in cucina, oltre al muro non rifinito. L'ho trovato poco igienico. Nel bagno (unico e senza porta, con vista sul letto) non c'è la luce. Cercate di arrivare prima del tramonto altrimenti fate la doccia (o usate i servizi) a lume di candela!

La situation, avec la vue sur l’abbaye au soleil couchant. L’espace spacieux dans la maison et le joli jardin.

Un peu bruyant (circulation) La baignoire et les sanitaires devraient être changés et la salle de bain refaite. Une plaque à cuisson à 4feux serait la bienvenue.

Wonderful location, cute cosy little house with a well stocked kitchenette including coffee, tea, milk, and even some cookies and bread. Bedroom and bathroom upstairs; we left our big suitcase downstairs! One of our first stops in Ireland, owner came out to the house right away when we couldn't figure out how the door lock, heating, or shower works, and that became helpful for the rest of the trip when we encountered the same types at most places.

Lovely pac to stay. Hosts were so helpful and went over and above to help me out.

Breakfast not applicable. Convenient location with a good view of the abbey from the property - just a short walk away. Within a few minutes' drive from Thomastown that has a good range of shops. Hosts very helpful, we had some lovely chats with his mum - a lovely lady. Given the property has only recently been used for holiday accommodation (and is 'work in progress'), it is very well organised and nicely decorated. The furniture and decorative items were well chosen including some glass items from the local glass studio. Plenty of bedding, towels etc.

For us, the road was too busy and meant that we could hear the traffic, we therefore had to close the bedroom windows at night which is not our preference. We had an issue with a lack the hot water for the bathroom basin, Patrick will resolve this - but we used the shower which was good. There are a few things to finish off including the bathroom door. We would suggest a blind on the bathroom velux window and, as the bedroom is in the loft area, a fan would be useful especially with the windows closed. Also, it would be nice to have a table lamp or two in the lounge/kitchen area so that you could have a softer light when relaxing - especially in the winter when there is no natural light in the evenings.

Nice quiet enough location view of Jerpoint Abbey, and I'd recommend visiting the abbey. Close to Thomastown and Kilkenny town. The stove is good for heating the place in winter. It's a nice cosy kitchen and living area. Perfect size for a couple. The air fryer is great and I had never used one before. Hosts had prepared the place very well with everything ready to make tea with biscuits, plenty of fuel for the stove. The house was nice and clean.

The mattress was a bit soft. The radiator or water pipes (or maybe something else) made a loud noise which woke us up several times during the night. Maybe the heating could be adjusted to prevent this, we only stayed one night. Also we're both light sleepers so maybe others would sleep through it. Over all it's a lovely place to stay.

Comfy bed, possibility to light the fire, in general good facilities. Owner communicates well. Close to local amenities.

Maybe a little chilly in the evening but I was able to light a fire in the stove.

Comfort of the bed, hot shower, appliances in the kitchen, dual airfryer and hot plates, comfy sofa and of course the view of abbey from the windows all make this property one to remember. Close proximity to Thomastown and Mt Juliet are added bonuses. SupaValu supermarket in Thomastown means you can bring home a prepared meal and save a little on eating out.

No cheat sheet for the airfryer, i don't own one so pushed many buttons before i got it going, but when it did it was very good. Can even do toast. Bathroom also upstairs, and stairs are steep but go slowly and they are fine. We left all bags downstairs.

Das Cottage macht einen gemütlichen Eindruck und war auch sehr sauber gewesen.

Leider ist das Licht im Haus sehr schlecht, in der Küche sieht man zum arbeiten fast nichts und im Bad gibt es gar kein Licht. Außerdem wären sowohl im Bad als auch im Schlafzimmer Ablagemöglichkeiten oder Hacken dringend notwendig.

La struttura ci ha trasmesso un senso di casa, molto accogliente.

Manca poter accendere la luce sulle scale dal piano di sopra per scendere.

L'environnement est très beau, tout près de l'abbaye. La maison est accueillante et soignée avec tout le nécessaire.

Il y a pas mal de passage de voitures, malgré que ce soit une route de campagne. C'est dommage.

It was cozy and had a wonderful view of the Abbey. Very comfortable bed.

Very nice owner. Left a few basic food and coffee items which was lovely.

We really loved the little apartment…it had everything we needed. Beautiful outdoor area…we sat out in the morning with our coffee enjoying the birds and Abbey view. We had a little challenge finding which house but the neighbors near by were so friendly and helpful 😀 Stumbled onto a wonderful restaurant….Tabu …in town. Overall it was a lovely visit.

A gorgeous little cottage within sight of ancient and beautiful Jerpoint Abbey. There is a small town 5 minutes away so it's convenient. The owner could not have been nicer to communicate with. We would definitely go back.

Bathroom could benefit from an update and no door, only a privacy screen for the toilet from the bedroom.

Superb location with an amazing view. The fire was lit when we arrived👌 beautiful town and cosy cottage.

Everything about our stay was excellent. Paddy was a wonderful and extremely accommodating host. He went above and beyond and we felt exceptionally looked after. The bed was so comfortable - would absolutely return!

Only issue I could say is that the tv could do with being in the room as it is difficult to watch it in the living room
