All staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Good shower and facilities. Delicious breakfast
Light spill from the car park made the the room quite bright during the night, despite the curtains being drawn
Good location
Bathroom hadn’t been cleaned well, light bulbs failed, very tired room.
Få variationer.Ingen ost på fyra dagar
Litet utbud och mindre varierande frukost. Rummen utmed parkeringen. Ändrades .Blev överraskade av att restaurangen utan information stängde tidigt på söndagskvällen. Fanns ingen möjlighet att få någon mat. Hänvisades till andra restauranger.
Extremely comfortable bed with good size bedroom Good menu choices and nice, freshly cooked breakfast Customer service exceptional
Nothing to dislike
Lack of staff the evening meal was inedible. Service worse than poor. In the room the fake leather chair was so old it was shedding the outer layer. The whole place was extremely tired and needed a good deep clean.
Room was delightful, lovely bed and bedding and refreshment facilities. Bathroom very clean with nice shower/handwash supplied. Delicious breakfasts.
The bath area itself needed a bit of refurbishment (sealant) and we had been pre-warned to take our own bottled water.
Excellent service all round. Restaurant menu very good and very friendly service . Very good breakfast.
Room overlooking the car park was rather airless but the weather was very hot during our visit. Good fan was provided.
Staff and parking good
Hotel rooms are very tired and in need of tlc
The staff really made our stay
A little basic but have to expect that as very fair pricing
Friendly welcome, staff made stay very good.
Nothing about the accommodation was unlikeable
The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough. The food was very good . The bed was comfortable and the room was clean .Plenty of tea and coffee and room was tidied every day .
The room was a decent size but had concrete beams which were quite difficult to avoid especially when sleeping on the side of the bed nearest the window .
We picked this hotel on a whim for a last-minute stay while en route from A to B. The Inn is located in the centre of a charming Oxfordshire village with on-site parking. The rooms were attractively decorated, comfortable and not too hot given the weather. We had dinner in the bar which was good pub food, and the included breakfast was wholesome.
In general all very good, although the night access door from the car park to our corridor of rooms was broken so anyone could wander in - not a great worry given the rural location but needs fixing.
Excellent breakfast and dinner. very friendly and helpful staff
all was very good
Very convenient location, friendly professional staff, easy quick straightforward check in, clean lovely room and very comfy bed, room 7
Nothing
Location staff and clean room We have stayed here before always have had a good experience and excellent food. Would come again it's also near our family.
Easy free parking, a large comfortable room and bed. Very pleasant helpful staff, good breakfast and dinner.
The windows could not be opened or secured open so the room was rather stuffy. There was mould in the bathroom which looked unpleasant.
Ideal stop off not far off the A34 and M40 on our journey from down south to up north. With the England match on watching with the locals, fab bonus in this proper village pub. Nice room. Lovely breakfast with good choices and decent sausages and bacon. Recommended this pub/hotel.
Great position in a great village
Stairs and shower over bath
Location was good. That was about it I am afraid apart from good water pressure in bathroom
The place was neglected. It was obvious from the moment we entered the car par. Sad exterior of pub and run down windows etc. Back entrance very uninviting. Gruff welcome and sad neglected room. It really needs to be updated. Restaurant was large and empty, soul less and food really quite poor.
The breakfast was fantastic, excellent choice. Maybe a better choice if they did pastries.
The staff , could not had gone more . Very helpful and a pleasure to chat to.
It was in a great location for our stopover and the bar areas and restaurant areas were nice.
The rooms were very clean but tired. All windows needed replacing as were so blown you couldn’t see through them and window handle/lock was hanging off . Despite it being 30 degrees-we had to request a fan which was so full of dust and dirt that I had to fully clean it before we used it . The centre of the hash browns were icy cold and the mixed roast thr night before took an hour to arrive and only contained two small pieces of pork belly .
Comfy bed, delicious breakfast plus helpful and professional staff.
A very minor thing, and possibly due to the very warm weather. My room door was very hard to shut.
Room was ok, but when we arrived the bath/ bathroom needed cleaning, which I decided to do myself. Grout was black in places and overall didn’t look good.
Lovely little pub with dining room, overnight stays. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were even able to check in early and leave our bits before heading out for the day.
Charming!
We had a lovely room but I think it was the biggest they had. Food excellent all round. Staff friendly, cheerful, helpful.
Nothing at all to complain about.
Very friendly staff, clean rooms. Comfy bed.
Friendly staff and a nice breakfast. Good location.
The property is central to several locations we have stayed here a few times
Food good
Nothing
We booked for breakfast which was very good and good choice of menu. Sat in bar after our meal with wood burner and choice of beers.
Nothing I can think of.
Evrything was better than we expected. Next time we need a ground floor room.
Nothing
Location was ideal
The shower could have been better
Really friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere with a very nice restaurant area. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. Bedroom was large and as you'd expect for the style of hotel. Lovely and warm inside, and felt safe and secure.
The shower. The shower head was clearly old and leaky and provided more of a trickle than a shower. Disappointing for a room described as delux. However, the rest of our stay did out weigh this one issue by far.
The room was a reasonable size and the bed was very comfortable
The whole building is very tired and in need of renovation including the hanging baskets and flowers outside which have all been left to die in their pots. In the corridor through to our room, the fire doors were warped so couldnt shut properly and had split wooden panels you could see daylight through. The windows which were dirty had old cob webs in the corners with dead flies There were also cob webs hanging down from the emergency lighting. The first impression of our room was good with new carpet, clean paintwork and nice curtains. However the wooden window frames had some rot and the net curtains were frayed at the edges. When i opened the wardrobe the door fell off its hinges! In the bathroom the eletrical connector to the towel rail is broken and looks like it has been for some time. The extractor fan was extremely noisy and the louvres full of dust. The cold water from the sink tap came out warm and when the person in the next room used a tap the water system was very noisy. In the dining room it took half an hour before our order was taken and about 45 minutes for the food to arrive after that. At the time there were only 3 tables to serve and everyone was complaining about the wait. My wife had the sea bream with "sea vegetables" which turned out to be 4 strands of samphire , 2 new potatoes and a side dish of........ potatoes! A bit pricey at over £20. We did get a 10% reduction on the price of dinner. Breakfast is served from 8.00am.On the first morning we were the only table but the chef hadnt turned up. The 2 waitresses were very apologetic and said they might have to cook breakfast themselves! The chef turned up at 8.15. My wife who is dairy intollerent ordered poached eggs and smoked salmon on toast with no hollandaise sauce. You've guessed it, it turned up covered in sauce so had to be remade. I had the full breakfast which was very good. On the second night we chose not to eat in the restaurant ! And so on........
Mixed feelings, where the place feels like it’s had a bit of a revamp it was pricey for a nights stay.
The room was ok but a bit tatty in places but was warm and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom….shower curtain in the bath which sticks to you and shower head fixed so annoying if around 5’11”
Staff friendly & welcoming. Excellent customer service.
Food was good.
The beds wee old & uncomfortable & the room & bathroom were somewhat cold. Coffee at breakfast tasted as though it was made 2 hours before service started it's not difficult to make fresh filter coffee & keep it HOT.
It was warm and clean
The decor was very tired. Our room was warm and clean but the window didn’t shut, there were building materials stored right outside which blocked any view, the net curtains were torn and grey, the table top was damaged, the bath had stains on, the sealant on the bath was mouldy, the bath plug didn’t stay down so I couldn’t have a bath, the water from the sink was boiling hot and didn’t go cold. The tea and coffee facilities were very basic - no biscuits - tasteless tea. The door was very difficult to shut. The corridor to the room (which was at rear of the main building) looked neglected and tatty
Lovely place. The staff were very nice. Good menu and our food was piping hot.
The single beds and pillows were very hard so 2 of us didn't sleep well. The double room we'd booked as well was great.
The b&b was in a lovely village and the room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant for the evening meal and breakfast and the food was delicious.
The bathroom could have done with a little tlc but it didn’t ruin our stay at all.
Friendly and helpful staff, cozy, comfortable and quiet room, excellent food & drink
The bath / shower were a little worn out but it is an old / historic building!
The room was in a quiet end of the hotel. Very clean and comfortable
Nothing, but a small fridge would have been nice in the room.
I enjoyed chatting and engaging with the team making this place work. I was in the area st a meeting and was very refreshed and on ghe ball shen I needed to be after a relaxing evening and good night. The breakfast lady was so good. A couple of breakfast things and she sorted with extra ideas for us all at breakfast. She was great for setting me up for a great day. 👍
Nothing.
Breakfast not great. Bed large and comfortable.
Wasn’t expensive , bit run down ,awful pillows
Terrible but expensive food , mostly bought in / frozen fish etc , cheap steak and not a homemade pie
It was very friendly and situated in a lovely area. Bed was very comfortable rooms clean breakfast was amazing

Food was excellent and staff very friendly. There was a nice ambiance.
Pillows were uncomfortable and lumpy.
Location Deddington good.
Dismal room - tiny window Uncomfortable bed Poor shower and no bathmat Very poor meals badly cooked
All good. Nice to have real ales at the bar.
Staff were lovely, cannot fault the service, and the included breakfast was quite nice.
The room and attached bathroom were a bit grubby and not like the pictures, which was disappointing for the price. Thought it would be nice to have the restaurant downstairs, but it was rather expensive. Paid £30 for a main and a coffee. The pie and mash tasted nice but was definitely microwaved, which I wasn't expecting. Overall, it didn't meet the expectation of the price. I overheard staff saying the kitchen staff and menu were relatively new, which I can understand, but not good value for money.
Great location
Happy and relaxing atmosphere great rooms
Staff and food
Rooms terrible, dated and if you want sleep don’t do here. Noisy fan on all night kept me up all night before an important meeting.
A lovely friendly pub with dining and accommodation. Perfect location for a wedding we attended. Undergoing expansion. The rooms in the older part of the building in need of an up grade and think this is planned. Any niggles were sorted without question and efficiently. The food is exceptional.. Breakfast was amazing
Room a little tired
Great room, ok for the rest.
Dining room lacked atmosphere. More like a canteen.
It was very atmospheric. Good location. Shops nearby.
Nothing.
Friendly staff, rooms are brilliant, I am 6ft2 and I couldn't touch the sides of the bed! Food is amazing, definitely come again!
That I didn't have more time there
Dinner was lovely. Unfortunately I couldn't stay for breakfast as I needed to be away early. The bed was very comfy plus the layout of the room was great. The staff were very helpful.
Quiet room but stairs were noisy. It didn't spoil the stay.
Food was nice. Bar area was cool and restaurant was air-conditioned. Good parking.
Too hot and only 1 small table fan didn't cut it. No extra fans available. Hot water pipes under bathroom floor made that a sauna too. None of us slept.
Comfortable bed & chairs. Very effective fan on very hot day.
The welcome we received from reception
Breakfast was very good and the food for dinner was good on June 28 but the service was unacceptably slow despite there being few diners.
The in bath shower was poor and there were no handrails which is dangerous for in bath.
The room was clean, quiet and a reasonable size, with coffee/tea making facilities. The car park is right outside. The morning staff were friendly and helpful and provided a fair selection of breakfast options including full English breakfast. Dinner in the restaurant was also varied and pleasant.
The window frame fixtures were loose so opening/closing windows wasn’t so easy. The information booklet in the room said dinner was served on a Sunday between 6 and 8.45 pm. We booked for 8pm and when we arrived we were told the kitchen closed at 7pm! Incomprehension by the staff and poor management concerning updating of information to guests
Enjoyed food and drink. Parking on site.
Excellent staff. Good parking. Comfortable bed and clean and tidy. Bonus - good restaurant ( if a little slow)
Room was boiling. Fan inadequate. ( kind Batman provided iced water). Decor tired and in need of simple improvements. Curtain hanging loose as curtain ring missing. Tired net curtains. Broken window catch. Lack of adequate grab rail in bath/shower. All easily remedied if the management cared?
Friendly staff,comfortable room,good breakfast
There is ongoing work at the hotel, externally and internally. Piles of rubbish/ coffee cups/ easily disposed of items should not be left out at the end of a working day in public areas.
Breakfast was excellent
the restaurant closed early in the evening, last order was 7.30.
Location good for Blenheim Palace, Very attentive staff, clean & tidy.
We've booked the meeting room at The Deddington Arms several times now, and the service has always been excellent. On this occasion, I also had the pleasure of staying overnight. The room was gorgeous - spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything I needed. Breakfast was superb, and the meals I enjoyed during my stay were equally impressive. The team are just lovely - genuinely warm and attentive, and nothing is too much trouble. The location is perfect too: Deddington is a charming village with a few shops and cafes to explore, and it's ideally situated for easy access to Banbury and other nearby areas. Highly recommended whether you're visiting for business or leisure.
All good as always
Friendly staff good food. Good ale..Comfortable bed. Clean linen.
The room I stayed in was a little tired… Windows did not close properly (ground floor). Mould in bathroom. Towel rail needs replacing…..
