Like to have a beer with tea and the restaurant doesn't have it on the menu but realised you could order a beer and it would be brought down from the bar

After an accident that happened outside the hotel, we had to extend our stay for a few extra days while a family member recovered. Throughout this difficult period, the entire Damai team was incredibly supportive and made us feel at home. We needed a wheelchair during our stay, which the hotel kindly provided, and we found all the facilities to be very accessible. Moving around the resort and even inside our room was easy and comfortable. We are truly grateful to the staff and the hotel facilities, which were a great help during a challenging time for our family. Thank you for your kindness, care, and support.

The restaurant improves a lot,since I was first check in in March 2026,food more tasty. The staff also quite helpful all the time of my stay. Overall...i have to give a thumbs up...thank you

The hazardous air quality caused by the palm oil forest burn offs ! We felt sorry for the locals & holiday makers.

J'aurais aimé faire quelques compliments sur la vue et la piscine mais notre accueil s'est très mal passé. L'accueil nous a laissé un mauvais souvenir.

Nous avions réservé pour 2 adultes et 2 enfants et nous nous sommes retrouvés avec un seul lit pour 4. On devait payer un supplément de 130E pour mettre un lit supplémentaire. Après un demi-journée d'explications puis un fort énervement, au moment d'aller nous coucher, épuisés et tard dans la soirée, nous avons été changés de chambre. Beaucoup de groupes bruyants le week-end. Et les chambres ne sont pas insonorisées. Le petit déjeuner n'est pas bon.

The room was big. The breakfast had an excellent selection. There are a lot of activities that the resort offers. The TV had a selection of movies that we could watch which made the stay very pleasant

The AC was set at one temperature and we couldn't control it. The coconut bar could benefit more non alcoholic options. The pool may have needed more maintenance

Location is wonderful. Very clean beach and excellent ambience. The location you cannot beat. We have been to a few beachside properties but the high tide and low tide effect we saw for the first time up close. Kids loved the mini water slide and the pool. Rooms are spacious and clean. We couldn't explore the resort fully as were busy wth the beach and swimming pool but all amenities were nicely managed and appeared fine. The breakfast spread is vast. They have a lot of options for everyone. The best breakfast menu I have ever seen! They also have a kids' breakfast spread, which is liked by not just kids but adults as well. Staff is also very courteous and helpful. Some of the family members are vegetarians and the dinner menu on the first day felt limited, but the Resort's General Manager was very helpful and instructed the chef to prepare veg pizza, which was really wonderful.

The only request is to add a few more vegetarian options to the dinner menu.

The beautiful views, it was very quiet and tranquil. Definitely a place for relaxing, but wouldn’t spend more than a few nights here as there is nothing to do. Aircon in the bedrooms worked well and it had a good tv system with new films available.

The facilities it advertised most of them were shut or not in use. Bars and restaurants and gym not open, no sports available. The pool was dirty with green algae on the tiles. The evening food was not good and only one restaurant option open. The hotel had hundreds of rooms but was eerily empty, like a ghost town. It is a 5 min walk to another beach and ghost town with closed restaurants and 2 small convenience stores. There were more staff than guests staying in the hotel, but still the service for everything was very slow. We had food one night and even though we were only 1 of 2 tables eating in there mine and my partners food still came out 10 minutes apart. We only saw about 6 different groups/couples staying the same nights as us and out of the 300+ rooms we still had to wait 45 minutes for our room to be ready for us on arrival.

A great experience living in a treehouse. Room was spacious with own toilet and shower. The bonus is the patio with chairs providing an awesome view of the sea.

We asked for an extra mattress. The person who slept on that mattress had red bites on his legs the next day.

La localisation cachée dans un écrin de verdure au bord de la plage, la grande piscine vu sur la mer, la piscine pour enfants très bien pensée. Chambre très propre, spacieuse, literie confortable. Très bon petit déjeuner. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour !

2 nice pools, nice large beach to walk, very close to the cultural village that we would really recommend spending a couple of hours at least. Staff we interacted with they were all helpful and did their best.

Breakfast had decent options but something was off, maybe they did not use good quality ingredients. Same feeling for the dinner we had in the same restaurant. Some areas of the resort seemed to be needing of renovation works, some just seem like nobody cleaned there for ages ( space inbetween stairs to the rooms ) Pool bar only opened 4 PM

Die Lage ist top! Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und bräuchte hier und dort ein paar Renovierungen... der Pool ist riesig und hat einen tollen Panoramablick! Das Personal war freundlich.

Lediglich im Restaurant waren oft viele Angestellte mit wenig zu tun und wenig Interesse an den wenigen Gästen. Schade!

С удовольствием присоединяемся ко всем хорошим отзывам об отеле. Понравилось абсолютно всё. Все сотрудники отеля очень доброжелательные. Завтраки вкусные и разнообразные в красивом ресторане. Ходили на ужин, недорого и вкусно, прекрасное обслуживание. Очень понравился дизайн отеля и территория, всё продумано до мелочей, каждый уголок радует глаз. Номера просторные и комфортные. Отличное освещение. Кондиционер бесшумный с удобным управлением. Балкон с красивейшим видом на море. Кровать супер удобная. Брали экскурсии, всё было отлично организовано. В этом отеле всё на высшем уровне. Спасибо всем сотрудникам отеля за чудесный отдых. Хотелось бы вернуться.

К отелю претензий нет. Отель располагает к романтическому отдыху. Но очень много семей, отдыхающих с детьми. Дети громко кричат везде, в ресторане, на пляже, под окнами номеров с раннего утра и до позднего вечера. Для детей есть прекрасный детский бассейн с горкой, но родители водят их также во взрослый бассейн, где тоже невозможно отдохнуть от детских криков. К сожалению, родители считают, что их детям всё позволено.

De ligging, de prachtige lobby en het zeer uitgebreide ontbijt. Geweldige prijs/kwaliteitverhouding. En we hadden voor onze groep van 9 via het hotel een busje met chauffeur geregeld. Angelina was helemaal top, ze reed ons overal heen en was altijd ruim op tijd.

Het heeft de potentie en uitstraling van een vijfsterrenlocatie en daardoor vielen sommige dingen tegen. Personeel aardig en hulpvaardig, maar weinig initiatiefrijk. Kamers worden schoongemaakt, maar sigarettenpeuken op de gang blijven dagen liggen. Een uitgebreide cocktailkaart, maar na bestelling blijkt later de helft niet beschikbaar. Allemaal minor details, maar omdat de locatie er zo prachtig uitziet, zou je meer verwachten. Prijs/kwaliteit echt helemaal top, dus waarschijnlijk kun je ook niet meer verwachte

L’hôtel ne nous a pas prévenu que la piscine adulte était fermée pour maintenance et lorsque nous verrons dans un hôtel comme celui-ci c’est bien pour en profiter, j’aurais aimé être prévenu.. L’hôtel est très beau, mais il mériterait malgré tout à certains endroits des travaux de rénovation car nous ressentons que l’hôtel est vieillissant

Die Lage ist einmalig. Und es war sehr ruhig und entspannt, da es nicht so viele Gäste hatte. Da wir zu 4. reisten, war das upgrade zu einer Familiensuite sehr lohnenswert.

Chambre vieillissante, pas très propre ( salle de bain, terrasse ). Mobilier cassé sur la terrasse. Immense et mal entretenu, peu de monde. Le soir personne au bar... bilan. Bien pour se poser à la piscine.

Останавливались всего на 2 ночи после поездки в Национальных парк Бако. Но можно было бы остановиться здесь и подольше. Мы были с ребёнком, ему очень понравился огромный детский бассейн с горкой и прочими грибами-фонтанами, впрочем и другой бассейн ему тоже понравился, и нам тоже)) Пляж отличный, песчаный, заход в воду очень плавный, опять же с детьми удобно. Номер просторный, все удобства в порядке. Персонал тоже супер! Очень все были приветливы и гостеприимны. Ресторан с панорамным видом отличный, завтраки были там же, всё было очень достойно.

What I liked most was the peaceful setting, friendly hospitality, and beautiful sunset scenery.

It is encouraging to see improvement efforts being made, and continued attention to facility maintenance will help elevate the resort experience.

Staffs are excellent

Food quality and menu must be improved. The resturant menu is boring with very limited choices. Breakfast is better but limited choices and hardly any vegetarian or vegan options available. Management needs to seriously consider upgrading the current resturant, and also must add a few more resturants or pop up stalls within the resort. Food hygiene was questionable, i got seriously ill by food poisoning during my stay on the very last day which was a bummer. Overall, its a good resort but requires improvement to justify the value for money.

It is wonderful, many varieties and they are all very freshly prepared. There even have Sarawak Laksa and Kolomee over the counter!

The beach was easy to access and kids pool was great.

Security officer, bell boy and reception (check in & check out) was stunning and very good in their job. However restaurant staff and housekeeping team should learn from the front desk. To smile more and greet guest. Chef at egg counter I know you are busy but please choose better words in speaking because I felt like I wasn't welcome in the hotel. (horizon cafe)

The service was excellent and the lobby is beautiful - it was so nice in fact we ended up spending time there rather than in our room. One helpful staff member (Abdul Rahman) even advised us to go to the tower at the north end of the hotel to see proboscis monkeys in the mornings. The dolphin tour arranged by the hotel was also very well done. It's a great location for watching the sunset, and there is hiking nearby at Santubong National Park and Permai Resort (RM30 entry fee). Most importantly though, the beds were incredibly comfortable - my wife and I both slept extremely well.

The entire time we were there, the hallways and stairwells were never cleaned. We know this because just outside our room, there were feces, and the stains remained for the entire five nights. Also, after it rained, there were puddles in the stairwell for days, making it slippery and potentially unsafe to take the stairs. Other than that, the dinner options are poor with the hotel restaurant having mediocre food, and very few other restaurants nearby. You also can't do takeaway as they have very strict rules about outside food. The beach is beautiful, but there is nowhere to get any shade other than under the hotel structure where birds nest and there is plenty of rubbish. Likewise, the pools are nice, but good luck getting any shade on a sunny day.

Excellent food and service in the restaurant . Extensive breakfast and great choice of evening meal options - both Asian and Western. Enormous swimming pool and great location close to the Sarawak Cultural Centre

Even though the hotel is fairly new , the air conditioning in the rooms wasn’t particularly cold . Maybe that’s just a Westerner struggling with the Asian heat though!

We voelen ons letterlijk prins en prinses. De oprijlaan naar de receptie maakt al indruk, het uizicht vanaf de accommodatie nog veel meer. Echt paradijselijk. Ontvangst door ontzettend vriendelijke medewerkers, koffers worden naar de kamer gebracht. Kamers zijn luxe en van alle gemakken voorzien. Het restaurant is goed. Het ontbijt nog veel beter. Het zwembad zeer groot (zelfs apart groot kinderbad aanwezig). Sprookjesachtige omgeving.

Smukt og meget stort hotelkompleks. Værelserne var rummelige, rene og vi havde udgang til pool via vores altan. Stor restaurant med dejlig morgenmad og fint udvalg til aftensmad.Fantastisk udsigt over stranden.

Vi turde ikke bruge den skønne strand på grund af giftige gopler. Der var advarselsskilt og et lille barn var fornyligt blevet angrebet. Stranden havde vi ellers glædet os meget til. Restaurantions personalet skal lære at en "starter" ikke er en ret, som skal serveres til sidst :-( Man slog parasollerne ned om aftenen på det udendørs spiseareal, med det resultat at man ikke kunne se hinanden eller solnedgangen. Vi måtte bede om at få dem slået op igen.

The breakfast were very nice and delicious. Even we are vegetarian, but their still help to prepare for us. Really thank you for all of the staff. For the door boy, he always very kind and gentle to help us during arrival or when we go out. For the kaunter staff, they are always smile and gentle to help us settle our question. Really thanks alot for all of them!

Maybe if can, have some children playground, karaoke, some security patrol during night even they have security before entry and leave the hotel.

Beach, pool, restaurant, view. I was surprised of the bad reviews it had, very well priced, we stayed only three days but we felt it had lot of potential.

I'd not been back here for years but glad I made a return. Staff tells me the resort was refurbished about 3 years ago. Excellent customer service. Comfortable stay. Wide selection of food at breakfast. Lots of activities for the kids. Nice large children's pool with water features and a small slide.

Room air condition could be cooler. Pickleball courts need resurfacing.

Breakfast is nice and staff on breakfast service were good. Pool was nice and quiet.

Despite there being hardly anyone in hotel, they gave me one of worst rooms on ground floor near back parking area. And no tours or excursions from hotel even though website says there are. I would suggest staying at Cove 55 as much nicer and easy to get to national park.
