Little Peepal House

We had a really wonderful four-day stay at Little Peepal House, and what stood out the most was the hospitality. The rooms were clean, comfortable and very well maintained, and the location is honestly one of the biggest advantages of staying here. Gangaur Ghat is barely a 5-minute walk away, Jagdish Temple is just a couple of minutes away, and many of Udaipur's main attractions, cafés and food places are within easy walking distance. But what really made our stay memorable was the host. He was extremely helpful throughout our trip — recommending places to visit, helping us plan our itinerary, suggesting good local food spots and even arranging a scooty rental for us. There were also several small gestures that genuinely went beyond what we expected. On our last day, our checkout was at 12 PM but our flight wasn't until 5 PM. The host very kindly accommodated us in another room so that we had somewhere comfortable to stay until we had to leave. We were also visiting Udaipur for our anniversary, and he surprised us with a cake, which was an incredibly thoughtful gesture and made the trip even more special. The staff were equally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They also serve home-cooked food, and we had a couple of meals there during our four days. The food was really good and felt like it had been prepared with genuine care. Overall, what I appreciated most was the effort they put into making guests feel comfortable and looked after. If you're looking for a peaceful, calm, affordable and conveniently located place to stay in Udaipur, I would definitely recommend Little Peepal House.

Parvat de eigenaar is een van de leukste en aardigste die ik heb meegemaakt in een hotel. Heel behulpzaam en gezellig! De locatie kan niet beter, het ligt midden in het centrum waardoor je overal gemakkelijk naartoe kan lopen.

Ik had persoonlijk veel last van omgevingsgeluid in de kamer, maar ik ben een lichte slaper.

Wasn’t much not to like - we booked it mainly because the reviews about the family that run the house. But they were away so we didn’t experience that. No issue with that everyone needs a holiday but if that’s one of the highlights then we can’t comment

Amazing value for money. We ended up staying for 6 nights here. The bed and sheets were so comfortable. The room was clean. It was in such an idea location next to lots of cafes, restaurants and attractions. Really appreciated the station pickup service! And you must do the evening tour with the owner who takes you to see the local trades and markets.

In this area there are lots of street dogs and they kept us up one night but we slept fine the other 5. No fault of the property of course, just something to be aware of when staying in the old town.

Die Lage ist super, sehr nahe am See, Palast, Tempel, etc.

Die Badezimmertür war unten völlig verschimmelt und hatte ein Loch. Beim Bidet-Spray fehlte der Kopf. Die Klobürste stand an der Wand angelehnt auf dem Boden (kein Ständer).

Sehr gute Lage. Der Besitzer ist sehr nett. Die Dachterrasse ist schön, könnte jedoch auch etwas aufgehübscht werden. (Ein Restaurant gibt es nicht mehr)

Die Sauberkeit sollte verbessert werden. Die Zimmer, vor allem das Bad ist unbedingt renovierungsbedürftig. Die Tür schimmelt unten schon durch. Die Böden waren nicht sauber. Wir fanden bei Probleme nicht immer jemanden im Haus. Es gibt noch eine WhatsApp-Nummer, da wartet ma jedoch manchmal einige Zeit auf Antwort.

Propre et bien situé pour aller au city palace et aux ghats. Parvat m’a tout organisé : taxi depuis l’aéroport, taxi pour Kumbhalgarh et Ranakpur. Il a même réservé le bus que j’avais repéré pour Jodhpur. Bonne communication et réactivité. Wifi impeccable, matelas et oreillers confortables.

The host Parvat and his staff were absolutely amazing, so accommodating and friendly. We did a sunrise tour where we drove 30mins into the hills (amazing!!) and a walking tour around the old city of Udaipur to learn its rich history (also amazing!!) Both with Parvat. The hotel has a great rooftop you can sit and enjoy the views of Udaipur, sunset was great from here too. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower was hot and powerful. Bed was comfy. Surrounded by great restaurants (Village cafe, cool cafe and athenas rooftop restaurant all highly recommended and cheap). Mavi cafe also great but a bit more expensive. All within 1min walk. Location was right next to Pichola lake and near to all the tourist attractions like the city palace etc.

We had ants come into our room as our bin wasnt emptied but as soon as we found them, the staff came and sorted the issue for us and emptied the bins for us.

Hôte aux petits soins, très agréable, serviable et arrangeant. De bons conseils pour découvrir la ville. Excellent petit déjeuner pris sur le roof top. Emplacement parfait, au calme. Nous recommandons chaleureusement.

Le roof top peut être amélioré afin d'en faire une vraie plus value qui pourrait être mise en avant 😉

Прекрасный отель, добрейший владелец, помог мне решить проблему с мотоциклом, расположение отличное, в номерах чисто и не шумно, очень тихая улица. Тут вы не запаркуете свой автомобиль, мотоцикл можно, но не совсем удобно 😉 В остальном это прекрасное место с прекрасными людьми!

De kamer was prima. De eigenaar was erg vriendelijk en hielp goed bij het organiseren van een dag trip. Ook regelde hij de taxi naar het vliegveld. De eerste dag nodigde hij mij uit voor een gratis ontbijt.

Ik vond het matras een beetje hard.

Die Unterkunft liegt super zentral. Alles ist direkt um die Ecke. Das Zimmer war von der Größe her optimal, das Bett sehr bequem, die Dusche heiß und der Inhaber und sein Mitarbeiter Meru Sharma ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, vom Lärm draußen bekommt man nichts mit. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Wonderful location right in the heart of Udaipur tourist attractions. Walkable distance to the lake, city, Palace, and Temple. Hundreds of restaurants and street food available. Very helpful owner. Although we had booked our local guides, we still went on a heritage walk with Parvat and I’m glad we did because he took us to the non-touristy side of Udaipur and gave us a wonderful look into the daily lives of several craftsman and businesses. We also learned some about the culture and food of the region and got to try local sweets like Gulab jamun

Danke nochmals für die kostenfreie Abholung vom Bahnhof um 22 Uhr. Und Danke auch für die Lagerung meines Gepäcks für einige Stunden nach dem Check-out. Das Zimmer 102 ist scheinbar einfacher als die anderen, aber ausreichend und wie auf den Fotos abgebildet E:s hat vergitterte Schiebefenster mit Metallinsektengitter, Immer heißes Wasser, stabiles WiFi, einen Wasserkocher und eine wärmende Bettdecke (im Bezug, super). Ich habe mich sicher gefühlt. Parvat, der Eigentümer, ist freundlich, hilfsbereit und verbindlich. Es waren gute 8 Tage. Die Lage ist super, ganz nahe am Lake und City Palast.

Zwei Hunde leben vor dem Zimmerfenster, die sich nachts auch am Geheul der Hunde beteiligten. Wie überall in Indien. Das hat mich aber nicht wesentlich gestört

Little peepal house는 정말 인도에서 손에 꼽을정도로 좋은 숙소였습니다! 친절한 직원들이 늘 상주하고. 주인분은 제가 우다이푸르에서 편하게 지낼 수 있도록 최선을 다해주셨어요!! 숙소는 정말 센트로에 위치해서 템플이나 팰리스로 걸어다니기도 편해요! 교통부터 투어 모든걸 이 숙소에서 믿고 해결하셔도 좋을것 같아요! 뒤에 일정이 더 없었다면 여기서 더 많이 머물다 떠났을겁니다! 5일동안 너무 편하게 잘 지내다 갑니다! 다시 우다이푸르에 온다면 여기서 또 머물겁니다!

Little Peepal House was an EXCELLENT experience!! The location could not be better and the staff, and especially owner Parvat (who goes by Papu), were exceptional -- absolutely the best we have encountered during our time in India. I chose the least expensive room, which was a little worn around the edges, BUT there was AC, towels and toilet paper and I wasn't there to sit in my room! We signed up to do the Udaipur neighborhood walking tour with Papu, which is an amazing cultural experience and a breath of fresh air after visiting the more touristed areas. It was everything -- an education in the culture and history of the area and included sights, smells, and TASTES of the old city. It was money well spent and exactly the reason I love to travel--getting exposed to a new place and sharing that with a multigenerational local. The tour could not have been better. AND, on top of all of these amazing aspects of staying at Little Peepal, Papu was so fantastically generous with his time, advice, help, and insights--and that was absolutely priceless. Would you believe that after my son and I left, the next night Papu texted and called me at almost 23:00 to be sure I was safe because the hotel that Papu had helped me book had called to tell him we had not yet arrived (our transportation from Udaipur was delayed by many hours)?! Who, besides my mother would do that?!! A hotel is a hotel but this level of caring, attention, pride in their work, and dedication -- you're not going to find half of this anywhere else in Udaipur!! Hooray for Little Peepal House!

跟男友來烏代浦短暫停留兩天，旅館是民宿，房間也蠻可愛的，老闆人很好，有什麼問題或服務都可以跟他聯繫，很快就會回覆。 烏代浦在吵雜的印度來說，是個可以獲得寧靜的地方，但不太建議在Diwali的時候來，因為外面煙火會一直放到凌晨，會影響旅遊和睡眠品質。 我們都蠻喜歡烏代浦的氛圍（走在路上不會被打擾），而且民宿位置蠻方便的，附近也可以逛逛許多小店，離湖邊和city palace 都蠻近的，希望下次能帶家人一起來

Excellent service, excellent location! Parvat went out of his way to find us a driver when our flight to Udaipur was cancelled. It shows the level of service and dedication he can provide for his client. It was a great stay all and all. Thank you!

The host was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were large and it was in a good location to easily get to the main attractions and restaurants. We didn't eat there so can't comment on the food but they did offer it.

Of the three rooms we had, one had a leaky toilet.

Centrally located place. Staff was friendly. They let us keep our bags after checkout time as we had a train to catch later in the day. Water was falling from the AC throughout the night , staff was informed of the same. Geyser in the bathroom was not giving hot water for shower. Room size was a bit small. No view from the window. Check out time very early 10am.

Toen we aangekomen waren, zijn we vriendelijk ontvangen door het personeel. We konden snel inchecken en naar de kamer toe. Ze waren bereid om ons te helpen met alle vragen. De kamer was prima. De lakens waren schoon en de badkamer zag er ook schoon uit. De airco deed het goed, het was alleen een opgave om hem goed aan te krijgen. Genoeg stroompunten in de kamer. Locatie ligt in het oude centrum en je bent snel op plekken zoals city palace.

We konden helaas niet pinnen bij het afrekenen. Dit stond wel aangegeven dat het mogelijk was. Locatie ligt in een steegje.

Lovely, quiet family run hotel in a central location.The room was clean and comfortable with AC, which is essential in hot weather!. It's about a 10 min walk to the city palace and plenty of restaurants are located nearby. It's also worth doing the Ranakpur Jain temple and Kumbhalgarh fort full day tour. They do other tours as well.

I really enjoyed my stay. Parvat and his team are superb hosts! The place was super clean, well located, offered great value, and is extremely well run. Parvat goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. He offers great tours that are fairly priced and really expresses his love for the city with great recommendations and suggestions. He is an honorable guy and one of the best hosts I have had during my 5 months traveling around India.

Everything was nice and the owner is very kind and attentive. The room was very dirty at my arrival, but I told them and they sent someone to clean it. Owner’s mother cooks delicious meals that you can order and eat in the terrace.

We were very happy that we booked Little Peepal! The house and rooms are very pretty and the owner and the staff are so accommodating. We felt very welcome here and when I got sick we could stay longer in our room on check out day and he even got me electrolytes for our onward journey. Thank you again! Location, Location, Location. We were here for holi festivals, and being in a walking distance to the heart of happenings, you cannot expect to find a better place. Staff. Pappu is a great guy, running the property with his family, and not hesitating to accommodate guests needs to make their stay as comfy as possible. Others are also very kind. Cleanliness. The property was clean with Indian standards, and good enough for our stay.

My stay at Little Peepal has been the highlight of my trip - Parvat is an amazing host and very genuine. I would highly recommend the tours he offers. The short walking tour to see real side of Udaipur is a unique experience, and so too is village tour, where you can see the nature and life outside of the city.

This was a pleasant stay with a friendly manager. He took me to the main road at checkout on the back of his scooter. They were very accommodating when I forgot to bring a few things. Also the location is easy to find.

The room was bright and clean by Indian standards. The host was very nice, responsive, and available anytime for assistance. The location was absolutely perfect, close to everything, making it very convenient for exploring.

However, the bathroom had a strong lingering smell of cleaning agents throughout our stay, which was overpowering for us. Even with ventilation, the scent remained, making it a bit uncomfortable.

The Guesthouse is located perfectly for exploring Udaipur. The room is big and clean and it includes all the Basic Elements you need. Mr. Parvat is an incredible Host. He and his staff are doing everything to keep the guests happy. Some of the services he is offering: - room Service (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) - Money Exchange - Laundry - Taxi Arrangements - Tours And you can ask him anything and he will do his best to help you. I highly recommend to join the Tours. His Tours focus on showing the real Udaipur and its villages, which will give you an authentic experience. In conclusion I can say that the Little Peepal House has been the best guesthouse I stayed in during my Rajasthan Tour.

Only 2 minor aspects: - as it was mentioned in some Reviews before, the rooms are a bit clairaudient - if you want to take a hot shower, you need to be quick, because the heated water will not stay warm for a long time

Papo the owner of the hostel is the nicest man there is. Helped us with everything we needed, was available for us at any time of the day. It is recommended to go on a tour . of the city and the spice market with him. The hostel was clean and in good location.

It was a great stay there in Little Peepal House. The owner Parvat Singh is a good person, he allowed us for early check-in. He also provided us the details about tourist attractions in udaipur. He was always available and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay here and will highly recommend.

Little Peepal House is a great option right in the center of the city, a welcome respite on a narrow and quiet side street but near everything. But the reason it’s a great option is because of the staff — Pappu is a great host. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay in a great location.

Very good solution for backpackers in Udaipur, the location is very close to the City Palace. Both the room and the bathroom were as per the picture. Moreover, we really felt welcomed by Pappu who is the BEST host. Definitely recommend a stay here.

Parvat (the host) helped us with everything. He is such a kind person, always ready to solve all our problems and answer our questions. He didn't even charge us for dinner when one of us got sick, and he always offered his help. The location is central with many attractions at walking distance.

I loved everything about this hotel. The host was super warm and welcoming. The balcony was chilled out, amazing quick service for food, and fab view of the fort. It’s just at the edge of the fort, and in my opinion after also staying inside the fort, Little Prince’s location is better because it’s quieter and you have a fantastic view of the fort. It’s only a 5 minute walk to the entrance. Room was well-designed, hot showers any time of the day, cute window seats in our room. Fab!!!

Rooms quite a bit more expensive than usual because it’s public holiday, but that’s the same with every accomodation in Jaisalmer.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the Wi-Fi was reliable. The owner was incredibly helpful and friendly. The hotel's location is ideal, with easy access to all the major attractions.

Perfect location in the old city, lovely bright room, comfortable bed and plenty of hot water - but what sets Little Peepal apart is Parvat and his family who welcome you in as part of it. When my partner was sick, Parvat's care was evident. He got a doctor in within the hour (who was great). We ate with the family one night, which was a delight. Breakfasts on the rooftop or in our room were also tasty. We made some extra requests and they were fulfilled. Parvat's father Prem drove us from Udaipur to Jodhpur in the most comfortable car we've been in in India! Parvat also runs walking tours through the "real Udaipur". This was absolute gold. Just don't hesitate, book in with Little Peepal!

We stayed at this guesthouse for three nights, and it truly felt like home – I gained a brother in Pappu, and the entire experience felt like being part of a family. The guesthouse is impeccably clean, and the food is outstanding, freshly prepared by Pappu’s amazing mother. Pappu went above and beyond to take care of every detail for our onward journey, gave us a wonderful city tour of Udaipur, and shared a breathtaking sunset at Tiger Lake with us. One evening, we even cooked together, and he generously shared his culinary skills with me – a memory I’ll cherish forever. Both my father and I agree: in our seven weeks of traveling through Nepal and India, we have never felt so comfortable and well taken care of in any guesthouse. Pappu has a heart of gold, and I wholeheartedly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Udaipur. This is hands down the best guesthouse and service you’ll find in the city.

This guest house is really well located to reach all of the attractions! The host Parvat is so friendly and helpful so the providing so much advice and information about Udaipur! We even did his walking tour around the old city which was so interesting and gave us an opportunity to see parts tourists don’t necessarily go to! The room was clean and the air conditioning worked perfectly!!

Fantastic stay! The room was amazing. Clean and lots of hot water. Parvat; the owner was the most accommodating host we have met on our travels in India. He went above and beyond sharing local knowledge of his home town over masala tea. The location is great because of close proximity to sites etc but quiet because it's down a quiet lane. Very good value for money, we would highly recommend staying here (something we rarely do)
