Moving around and relaxing in this beautifully crafted space was absolute joy! The staff is incredibly welcoming, caring and always ready with a warm smile! The location is truly wonderful, nestled right below a peaceful spiritual temple, perfect for a quiet night of reflection. There is also a beautiful bridge nearby that is absolutely ideal for evening strolls. And the food that I ordered (sukiyaki) was extremely tasty!

Reviewed Sep 7, 2026The food was excellent - the ramen was succulent and flavourful. The staff were very helpful - I lost my camera, and they kindly kept it safe and returned it back. The room was a nice mix between a capsule hotel and ryokan, which was a nice novelty! The facilities were great, and I greatly appreciated the free drinks and showers.
No free public onsen, though it’s understandable given the day price. Also, while I ended up appreciating my room, it wasn’t clear enough at booking that it would essentially be a capsule.

Reviewed Sep 5, 2026木材が基調のおしゃれな内装と少し暗めの落ち着いた雰囲気でとても感動した。部屋はベッド以外は階段と畳一枚とちょっとぐらいのスペースしかなく、とてもシンプルだが床も柔らかく特に困らなかった。値段も安く水分や冷蔵庫、電子レンジなどもおしゃれなラウンジ内にあるし、シャワーや下のカフェも使えて満足した。
部屋の屋根が低く、棒があるためぶつかる時がある。イタイ。窓がちっちゃい。

The only thing that wasn’t as great as everything else were the pillows. There were 2 (1 per person) and it was rather hard.

Reviewed Aug 29, 2026-Incredible location just off the main street of Hakone Yumoto, less than 10 min walk to Hakone Yumoto station where you can come in from Tokyo or go on the Hakone Loop! -Very nice facilities overall including a nice cafe / lounge (also open to locals), and a 2nd floor spacious lounge + terrace -Each room (including the single bed / dorm one I stayed jn) has its own AC you can control! - Staff is very nice
- Dorm style room itself was good value for the money, but it was not the most convenient - there is really no area to put your suitcase in the pod (without having to open it on top of your bed), so you can store it in the large lockers downstairs but will have to go up and down the stairs to get things. In addition the showers are downstairs so you have to go down (and potentially see non-guests in the cafe) to go shower and come back up. - Did not find it the most social

The private onsen offered a wonderfully intimate and relaxing experience, and the upstairs lounge area was a great addition for unwinding. The staff’s kindness and warmth made the whole stay feel even more special.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2026Beautiful hotel - very stylish, and lovely, calm, welcoming atmosphere. Room was comfortable and food was very good. There was a private onsen that could be reserved for Y2000, which was a huge selling point but something I was totally unaware of at the time of booking! We used it on both days of our stay.
Whilst we really enjoyed the hotel and the Hakone area, and would happily return to both, the town itself had little to offer.

doch wir waren im 3 stock, mussten das gepaeck selbst hochtragen und es waren hochbetten mit steiler treppe. somit fuer aeltere oder schwaechere leute def. nix. auch im gegensatz zu japanischen unterkuenft eher sehr teuer. scheint aber wirklich eine extrem touristische gegend zu sein. viel zu viele touris und zuwenig essensmoeglichkeiten im dorf...

Même si nous savions que les douches étaient communes, il n’y en a trop peu pour tout l’hôtel. Un lavabo dans la chambre aurait aussi été appréciable.

個室の２段目だったのですが、 登る時、また降りる時手すりがまったくなく またハシゴもかなり急なので掴まるところが無く怖さを感じます。手すりがあれば。 またいつから朝食が2,000円のセットが無くなり、個別のメニューになってしまったのでしょうか？

Sono presenti una macchinetta per acqua calda e infusi vari per la colazione oltre alla possibilità di utilizzare un fornetto per scaldare. Abbiamo cenato per 2 sere, provando diversi piatti ed era tutto davvero ottimo. Acqua a disposizione degli ospiti e bibita di benvenuto. Nella struttura è presente un onsen privata, da utilizzare su prenotazione e a pagamento. In camera sono presenti una selezione di prodotti da bagno davvero ottimi, compreso un kit per lo skin care. Lo staff sorridente e gentile.
Per accedere alla zona notte nella nostra stanza era necessario salire una scala con dei gradini non proprio agevoli, specie di notte. La posizione sul soppalco del letto, probabilmente non agevola le operazioni di pulizia pertanto era presente parecchia polvere

Il personale dell’hotel è estremamente gentile, disponibile e attento agli ospiti. La camera era spaziosa, pulita, arredata con gusto e dotata di ogni possibile comfort. Molto apprezzati il drink di benvenuto e la possibilità di prenotare un onsen privato per un piccolo sovrapprezzo. Un vero gioiellino, tornerei senza esitare.

Reviewed Aug 13, 2026That it was literally near the bus station and I didn’t have to drag my staff. Even though I book a cave -bed only room, it was spacious and had a window looking at the forest! Also they have an excellent patio to hang out.
The air conditioning inside was too cold that you needed winter clothes, I was always hanging out at the outside patio.

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026Wir haben zwei Nächte in diesem Hotel verbracht. Die Zimmer sind zwar recht klein, was uns jedoch bereits bei der Buchung bekannt war. Außerdem gibt es ein Gemeinschaftsbad, was für uns kein Problem dargestellt hat. Die Betten sind allerdings ziemlich hart, weshalb es dafür einen kleinen Minuspunkt gibt. Dafür ist das Personal ausgesprochen freundlich, hilfsbereit und bemüht, alle Wünsche der Gäste zu erfüllen. Insgesamt hatten wir einen angenehmen Aufenthalt und können das Hotel gerne weiterempfehlen.

Reviewed Aug 5, 2026Vraiment top, nous sommes arrivés le matin nous avons pu poser nos bagages et profiter de la journée à Hakone La chambre est bien placé dans Hakone à 5/10 mn à pied de la gare près des magasins des bus restaurants L’hôtel est super propre, sanitaires communs top propres le petit déjeuner au choix entre plusieurs propositions est très bons Les repas sont aussi bons On a bloqué le onsen en privé qui n’est pas très grand mais suffisamment pour se faire plaisir et se relaxer après une bonne journée L’intérieur est hyper cosy vraiment chouette
La chambre et la capsule sont des espaces réduits nécessitant de ne pas avoir de problème articulaires

El desayuno estaba muy bueno y la ubicación es excelente para visitar la zona. Además, el onsen privado fue un auténtico acierto y una experiencia muy relajante. Sin duda, volveríamos a alojarnos aquí.
No te dejan entrar a la habitación ni un minuto antes de las 16.00h.

Reviewed Aug 4, 2026- La localización esta muy cerca de la calle principal, donde está la estación y las tiendas. - El área común es muy conveniente, tiene una zona de sofás para pasar el rato, un pequeño restaurante y en la primera planta (segunda planta si lo contamos como un japonés) tiene mesas para uso variado, así como microondas y una tetera con café y tés de sobre. También tiene una pequeña terraza con sofás para estar afuera (esta terraza cierra a las 10pm)
- La hora del check in. Acostumbrada a que los check in sean entre las 11am y las 1pm, las 4pm me parece una hora muy tarde. Al menos, puedes ir antes y dejar las maletas (te dan tu propio locker con llave) - No hay ascensor, y excepto la escalera de la planta baja, ninguna tiene barandilla. - La habitación tuvo algunos cosas que mejorar: - La luz : hay tres luces en la habitación (una de entrada, otra detrás del sofá y otra en el cabecero de la cama como luz de noche). Las tres funcionan con el mismo interruptor, por lo que si sois dos personas y una quiere irse a dormir mientras la otra se queda en el sofá, se tendrá que dormir con la luz encendida o ver el móvil en la oscuridad. - La mesita de la habitación es demasiado pequeña, apenas se pueden poner dos tazas. El espacio que queda delante del sofá es un espacio muerto pensado para dejar la maleta abierta. - Ciertas cosas no estaban limpias en la habitación. La luz de noche, en el cabezal de la cama, al estar iluminado podías ver que no le habían dado un repaso. Además, en el techo hay vigas de madera (todo el hotel tiene atmósfera rústica) que desde la cama podías ver llenas de polvo. - La almohada no era cómoda. Yo no tengo preferencia por tipo de almohada, soy capaz de dormir con cualquier cosa, pero el interior de esta era como de granos de café , no era blandita o mullida.

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026The breakfast was included in the price, but I can’t have dairy milk and when i asked for plantbased milk they made me pay extra which defeats the whole point of included breakfast, basically it is a discrimination against people with dietary restrictions

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026入り口だけではなく、部屋の前まで綺麗で、開放感があってとっても快適でした！ 私はむしろ広い部屋が苦手なタイプで、友達と泊まりに行った時もなるべく狭いソファでちまっとねるのが落ち着いた好きなタイプです。 なので部屋が狭いと口コミにありましたが、私はむしろそれがよかったです！！ ぐっすりねれて、おかげで3時には起きることができて、私が貴重と考える現地の朝の時間を思う存分満喫できました。 光が多く入る建物の構造？？もとっても好きでした！ ここも絶対リピートするし、もうひとつの芦ノ湖も今度泊まってみます。 朝のあんバタートーストはバターがたっぷりで幸せでした！ ただパンもバター？も冷たかったので、そのままでも美味しいし、焼いたりとかあっためたりとかしてくれたら、あったかいバージョンも絶対サイコーに美味しいと思います！！
最初施設を紙で案内してくださったのですが、複雑そうだったので案内してもらった紙をもらおうとしたらそれは難しいそうでした。案の定自分の部屋まで迷って、迷っていたところをスタッフさんが声をかけて案内してくださいました。その案内の紙をいただけたら施設ももっと利用しやすくなると思いました！

ありません！！ けど、あえて言うなら、一人用の部屋のはしごがもう少し登り降りしやすいと、更によかったです。

上铺房间稍微有点不便，我只能把行李抬进去放床边，通风可以更好，打开门闻到潮湿的味道，关上门会感觉有点狭小。

朝方に天井からネズミ？が走る音が聞こえたり、湯船のお湯はゴミが浮いていてあまり綺麗ではなかったです💦

The stairs to the third floor was an unwanted surprise. We had pretty heavy suitcases so it was a drag having to carry them to third floor. The lighting in the room was also a bit too dark. The room itself was great but more lighting/lamps are needed.

Better menu options for people with allergies. The restaurant has a blanket exemption ‘we can’t guarantee anything’.

Reviewed Jul 8, 2026A lovely warm and friendly atmosphere. The breakfast was amazing too. We stayed when the area had an earthquake (5.6) but the building was ok and our room was lovely even though it was on the top floor with lots of steep stairs and no lift. We hope to stay again one day.
We arrived at night-time in the rain and did find it difficult to find due to Google maps not being too accurate. It would have been great if there was a lift for the luggage but understand the limits this old building has. For reference the property is not wheelchair accessible.
