The hotel is amazing! We enjoyed the view, the serenity of the scenery, the room was excellent, the staff and Ahmet, the owner, very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it!

There are not enough good things to say about our stay at Potamia Cave Suites. It exceeded all my expectations. The rooms were so thoughtfully put together. We stayed in the Family Room (Room 102, I think) with our family of 4. The extra space was helpful gave us room to breathe during our trip and the beds were all comfortable. The breakfast was out of this world and we felt so welcomed and cared for. My biggest surprise was the perk of exploring the caves that surround Potamia Cave Suites and walking the trail that sits below the hotel. This was a quiet sanctuary, especially compared to the business of Goreme, and I'm so grateful we stayed here during our time in Cappodocia. If you want a retreat that's steeped in history, culture and beauty this is your place.

Wifi in our room wasn't the strongest - it worked, just slow - but I honestly appreciated that it helped me stay off my phone and experience the place.

Unbelievable. The rooms (cave room) and whole domain were so thoughtfully decorated, clean and cosy, super friendly staff and amazing breakfast. Location is thé best in the city because of the magestic view in the valley. I will definitely come back here with my family once!

The place was excellent. The host accommodated our wish and allowed our daughter to sleep on the sofa-bed in the entry-living room. That proximity was important to us. The room had a stunning view of a very picturesque valley in Capodocia. It is an authentic cave hotel and the walls are not significantly modified (like many other more expensive versions) which does give a very unique feel to the stay.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel in Cappadocia. Everything was truly perfect, from the beautiful atmosphere to the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming and always ready to help, making the whole experience even more special. A special thank you to Fatima from the kitchen, who went above and beyond with her warmth and care. Her kindness made us feel right at home. The hotel itself is stunning and the location is simply magical, Cappadocia is like something out of a dream. Waking up here felt unforgettable. Honestly, everything was 10/10. Локация, сам отель это находится в пещерах с прекрасным видом, номера это пещеры, короче все очень круто, особенно понравился завтрак, очень душевные тетушки которые его готовили, очень красиво вкусно и уютно, очень понравился местный сотрудник «Хагрид» помог с вещами и помог выехать из двора. Так же сотрудники помогли забронировать полет на Шарах, очень рекомендую. Единственное что не понравилось это дверь в ванную она из стекла с большими щелями как то не комфортно.

The property and its host are exceptional. Achmed is passionate about sharing his beautiful cave suites hotel to guests in the best possible Turkish hospitality, we felt like staying with family. He answers every questions and helps book with experienced advice the best attractions on the area. His breakfasts are different yet fantastic examples of Turkish gastronomy at its best, his effort shows. The rooms are located next to the valley so no matter the room, you wake up to a beautiful scenic and peaceful view. We are extremely grateful for finding this gem in such beautiful region. You also get a view of the Ortahisar castle and its walking distance to the cute little town.

From the outset the owner/manager was incredibly prompt and helpful in all my communication with him. I was a bit concerned as to whether there would be enough light in the cave room but he sent me pictures and reassured me that it would be fine. It was superb -such care has been taken with the furnishings and design of each room and space! The cave rooms felt luxurious and so quiet. A beautiful location with chairs and tables on various terraces and views across the gorge. Eating breakfast in the October morning sun was a wonderful experience - the courses kept coming and all the food was so delicious. And the views such a perfect way to start the day! From the hotel there were some lovely walks so an excellent stay all round. I really recommend this place!

As we are on the older side a reading lamp for the sitting area would be really helpful - especially in the more wintry months when it gets dark earlier.

This place absolutely exceeded our expectations. The village is much smaller and more relaxed than Goreme, and the hotel is perfectly located overlooking a small valley. The sounds of the muezzin call to prayer echoing across the valley is something I'll never forget! Ahmed was kind and super helpful, and resident dog Roxy and multiple cats entertained the kids for hours. Breakfast overlooking the valley was another amazing core memory generated! Make sure to do the little hike in front through the valley. Beautiful!

The Potamia has amazing ambiance and decor, its impeccably designed, from the many outdoor balconies and patios, to the room layout, furniture and decorations. The staff is attentive, welcoming and accommodating. Great and memorable cave dwelling experience!

The location is incredible, with a fantastic view of the small valley. The hotel itself is wonderful, on several levels, with a lot of terraces and places to sit and enjoy the views. The rooms are fantastic, and truly caved in the rocks, unlike most other hotels where they tend to be fake. The owner is amazing, always available, attentive and helpful. Breakfast was really good, both in size and offering, though making it buffet might reduce some waste, but otherwise I can't complain.

As I said, maybe a buffet breakfast might be a better choice so as to reduce some waste (the portions are so big that most of the time we left something behind, also not everyone liked everything, as is usual, especially with teens).

We absolutely loved our stay here. The building and its furnishings are beautiful- all so tastefully done. A wonderful place to relax and spend time in. Lots of little nooks and crannies and terraces to sit on, beautiful plants and antiques about the place. Very friendly and helpful owner. Loved it.

This remarkable location is tucked away in a peaceful corner of the village, offering stunning views of the valley. The restoration of the old cave building has been carried out with exceptional care and high aesthetic standards, seamlessly blending traditional architecture with modern furnishings. The terrace is incredible, and the unique promenade overlooking the valley is off the beaten path. The staff is friendly and fluent in English. The manager even upgraded our room for free! It was truly an exceptional experience.

You can park a few meters away if there is a free space; otherwise, it’s a 5-minute walk.

We had such a wonderful stay! The place is incredibly cosy and quiet – perfect for relaxing and recharging. The stone cave room was very nice, breakfast was very good, the view was spectacular, Bed was very comfy. Unique atmosphere of the cave room. Service was good, room clean.

Minor things we didn't loke: Breakfast only from 9 o'clock, Hurling the luggage to the cave room was a bit of a workout. Bathroom was not practical (neither holder for tothbrushes or hand soap) and too dark . The curtain was difficult to use properly due to the door opening to the inside of the cave room.

Everything was wonderful, the location offers beautiful views of the valley and the people that own the place couldn’t have been more helpful and nice. The apartments give an authentic feel, furnished with local crafted things and reclaimed wood. Highly recommend!

We had a very nice stay at Potamia Cave Suites. The caves are in a quiet and beautiful valley, away from the busy tourist areas. Our host, Ahmed, was amazing—very kind and helpful. He made sure we were always comfortable. Breakfast was really special. Every day, they gave us different local pastries to try, which we loved. If you are visiting Cappadocia, Turney and want a peaceful and relaxing place to stay, we really recommend this place!

The ambience of the property was extremely cosy, clean and serene. Well-constructed and well-maintained. The room cleaning happens everyday obviously you could opt out. The owner and the staff are always available for your queries and are open for a friendly conversation and a coffee. The breakfast table was set for us before we were there with freshly baked bread, pastry and hot coffee/tea. The location is very calm and beautiful with mountain view.

The toilet may not have much privacy while staying with friends. But for couples, it’s perfect with all facilities and cleanliness.

I am from Germany with Turkish background and visit yearly different parts of turkey, so I have already seen a lot. This is by far the most beautiful place that I stayed here in this country. The place is full of love for details, has an exceptional level of hygienic standard unlike other hotels here nearby we stayed in and a very exceptional nice taste. You have a beautiful view and so many nice spots to chill and relax, the rooms have a big bath tube or a Turkish bath where you can almost have a spa day when it’s raining outside. The breakfast varies daily, everything is home made and you also get clean good food. We extended our stay and are already sad that we need to leave soon. You will definitely feel comfortable around Ahmed who is very polite and easy to talk to.

Ahmet is the kindest and most attentive host of any place I have ever stayed. He has created a haven of peace and tranquility at Potamia Cave, managing most successfully to combine authentic character decor with modern conveniences, such as a brilliant hot shower, loads of power points, high speed Internet and the comfiest bed I’ve slept in for ages. A fabulous breakfast too. Plus, the views are sublime! This is one of those rare travelling experiences when the real thing is better than the photos. If you are looking for a home base in Cappadocia don’t look any further. Ahmet will take the very best care of you at the totally perfect Potamia Cave Hotel.

We spent four nights at the Potamia Hotel, and everything was wonderful. The hotel has a beautiful location, and the village of Ortahisar is very charming and peaceful. The location and layout of the hotel are beautiful and our cave room was luxurious. Staff were exceptional. Ahmet's communication was clear and proactive prior to our arrival and he was available to answer questions about the area and to give advice and insights on best sites to visit. Breakfast was beautifully presented, generous and delicious.

We absolutely loved our stay in this hotel. The rooms are beautifully designed and right in the center of Ortahisar. Ahmet is such a kind host and organized anything we needed, even a babysitter so that we could go on a balloon ride. I would instantly book there again.

Insanely beautiful interiors and views, lots of space on the terraces where you can enjoy a coffee or breakfast. Everything is designed with great attention to detail. We visited a lot of beautiful hotels and B&B’s around the world, but Ahmet’s Potamia Cave Suites was undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places we ever stayed in! The hotel is beautiful situated in the valley of Ortahisar, a cosy town close to all the Cappadocia highlights. The enormous terrashouse really looks like paradise. Ahmet did the most wonderful job decorating the place even in the smallest details. The rooms are spacious, clean, luxurious and one of a kind. Large and comfortable beds, lovely bathroom with a very large shower. Because the hotel is overlooking the valley, it is extremely quiet at night. The breakfast is either served in a buffet or, when it’s more quiet in the hotel, at one of the many tables on one of the many beautiful terraces at your choice. Daily fresh produce and lovely Turkish delights. Just amazing! (A very big plus for us: breakfast is served until 11h00) Last but certainly not least: Ahmet is by far the friendliest and knowledgeable host we met during our trip through Turkey. He knows everyone and everything there is to know to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Always a smile on his face and ready to take care of his guests. Ahmet texted me before the day I stayed due the bathroom problem so I can’t stay in Potamia but he gave me the other hotel which is next door hotel and upgraded to the suite room, but I believe Potamia room is better.
