There was no water and hot water coming from a tap and I had to ask staffs everytime when I needed. The worst part was that I killed three bed bugs and wifi was not stable.

Reviewed Oct 20, 2023The best thing about the Happy Donkey is the staff and the atmosphere. It's such a relaxed place and the staff were really helpful, friendly and chill. The private rooms are very nice as well, very good value for money.

Reviewed Oct 12, 2023The atmosphere, the staff the location and the food. The chilled mood in the place was complimented by the cool buzz of backpackers/friends playing, jamming and talking. Would really recommend for a true hostel vibe. Food is really good value and very tasty. Staff are very helpful and all in all a happy place. We even got a Chana Masala cooking class. Thanks for having us 😀

Reviewed Apr 28, 2023The owners are so friendly, the hostel feels like one big family. We felt so comfortable and happy there. the breakfasts are AMAZING, freshly made and so delicious! If you are looking for a relaxed hostel that know how to run a place perfectly, then this is for you! The location is also so convenient, in a quiet alleyway right in the heart of Thamel!
