Reviewed Sep 19, 2026June est une femme exceptionnelle, elle nous a permis de vivre une expérience incroyable avec les villageois pour malheureusement faire face aux feux de forêts Le restaurant de l’hôtel est très pratique, vraiment bon marché et bon. L’entrée du parc est à 5min à pieds, les guides vous retrouvent en général à l’hôtel et June peut vous en conseiller
Un peu bruyant mais ça n’a en rien entaché la qualité du séjour

Reviewed Aug 26, 2026Tolles einfaches Zimmer in einem süessen Homestay in der Nähe des Parkeingangs. Die Gastgeberin war sehr hilfsbereit und unkompliziert und wäre sogar mitten in der Nacht fürs Checkin für uns aufgestanden. Sie hat uns auch gleich die beiden Tours (morgen und Abend) organisiert und machte sich die Mühe für eine Mitfahrgelegenheit zurück nach Manado zu schauen. Wir hatten das Zimmer im Homestay drin. Es war sauber und geräumig und einfach eingerichtet - genug für 2-3 Nächte. Das dazugehörige Restaurant gleich neben an war auch lecker.
Die Matratze war bereits etwas durchgelegen. Aber sonst alles super.

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026Alles was geweldig. In 1 woord fantastisch hier. June regelt alles voor je, wat een onwijs leuke vrouw. We hebben een boottocht gedaan, June ging ook mee, ze had lekkere dingen meegenomen en wat was ze lief voor onze dochter. Ze regelde een goede ranger voor in de jungle, we hebben alle dieren gezien die daar leven. Ontbijt was goed. Zeer ruime kamer. Wij raden deze homestay zeker aan.

Le prix du chauffeur vers Manado, d'abord annoncé à 500000 par la homestay mais qui nous a réclamé plus une fois arrivés car nous allions à Manado et pas à l'aéroport (nous n'avons jamais demandé à aller à l'aéroport). Ce n'est pas la faute de la homestay mais le passage bruyant des motos en soirée est assez dérangeant.

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026Très proche de la réserve naturelle de Tangkoko, nous avons été très bien accueillies par June, qui gère l’établissement. Elle s’est arrangée pour qu’on puisse aller voir les animaux de nuit même s’il était tard. C’était vraiment aux petits soins pour nous. Les repas étaient très bons et copieux. Le lit était très confortable et la chambre climatisée. Très bon rapport qualité/ prix.
Le conduit de douche était défectueux mais c’est vraiment le seul petit point négatif

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026Die Gastgeberin hat uns einen privaten Transfer vom Flughafen direkt zur Unterkunft vermittelt (mit 400K wohl etwas über dem Grab Preis, man muss aber Glück haben, dort eines zu bekomme, erspart einem also viel Stress). Außerdem hat sie uns ein ganz toller Guide organisiert . Patrik hat uns auf unserer Morgens- und Nachmittagstour (400K pP + 100K Nationalpark Eintritt = sehr fairer Preis, untere Grenze des Standardpreises) alle erhofften Tiere (auf dem Logo der Unterkunft) zeigen können. Es war ein unglaubliches Erlebnis und wir waren nur zu fünft unterwegs. An einigen Spots trifft man auf andere Führungen, was aber nicht weiter stört. Nach einer Tierbeobachtung gehen dann alle Touren wieder ihres Weges. Insgesamt ein toller Aufenthalt! Das Frühstück war lecker und das Abendessen solide und günstig für den Ort. Das Zimmer war sauber und groß, die Klimaanlage hat perfekt funktioniert.
Einzig das Bad hat etwas unangenehm nach Eisen gerochen, was aber auch nicht weiter schlimm war. Für Indonesien normal.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2026This place exceeded my expectations. It was impeccably clean and comfortable; everything smelled super fresh. Jun is so friendly, helpful and fun! She added an extra spark to my stay. I don’t know if it was a long day of sightseeing in the Tomohon area followed by a two-hour evening tour in Tangkoko Park or what, but the mie goreng I had at the restaurant attached to the homestay was possibly the best I had in three weeks’ travel in Sulawesi (the restaurant had a really nice outdoor space, too). The guide I had for the evening and morning tour, Ace, was absolutely fabulous. She helped me get stellar photos of all the animals we saw. It’s less than a 5-min walk to the park entrance. All around: wow, a great experience at Tangkoko Family Homestay.

June was able to organise our guides and a motorbike…always with a smile. Yanto our birding guide was very knowledgeable. Overall a wonderful experience.

Reviewed Jul 17, 2026We had a very nice stay at Tangkoko Family Homestay. We arrived in the evening and were welcomed by our host June who showed us very clean, nicely climatized rooms ( we were there with 5 people). The showers admittedly only have cool water but we enjoyed it as refreshing. Anyway, being too cold never was any problem during our visit in North Sulawesi with the exception of the night in the tent up on the top of mount Klabat. For Dinner we could choose from a variety of local dishes of which we tried several during our stay and which all were delicious. Breakfast was served with the choice of three dishes (Rice, Omlette or pancake), all of which also were enjoyable. Visiting Tangkoko Forest was really a great experience! The local guide was very dedicated and sharp-eyed and we saw all the expected animals and birds: Makaks, Tarsia, Kuskus, Hornbills, Kingfishers, insects and spiders (Tarantulas at night!). The lushness of the trees and plants was impressive. When our pre-arranged boat trip could not take place because of strong winds, our host June arranged a trip for us to Batu Angus, a small island which ist very sheltered. There we could snorkel and enjoy fresh coconuts and hanging out in the hammocks there. On the way home, June explained us the city if Bitung and provided us with fresh fruit and sweets directly from the market stalls to try, so we tried Duku, Mangostan and Martabak. Overall, in terms of heartwarm friendlyness, nicely clean and cool rooms, good food and great experiences, we highly recommend staying at Tangkoko Family Homestay and would certainly do so again, if we ever were to spend time close to Bitung again.

Reviewed Jul 17, 2026Excellent homestay. Spacious and quiet room with comfy beds and a good shower. The restaurant serves delicious dishes for a very good price. They organized the afternoon and morning tours to the park for a fair price. Marley was a.great guide and we were always the first to spot the animals. It is 3 min walking from the park entrance and 10 min walking from the beach. You can get there taking a grab from Manado and they help you with the taxi to go back for a right price.

Reviewed Jul 16, 2026Bardzo miła obsługa, świetny kontakt przez Whatsapp , pomoc przed i w trakcie pobytu. Czysto, wygodnie, komfortowe łóżko, duża łazienka. Obok jest smaczne jedzenie w Warungu, lokalizacja bardzo blisko parku i 7 minut od sklepu. Bardzo miły przewodnik Marley ( dziękujemy za przekazane informacje, wskazanie tylu ciekawych mieszkańców parku i ułatwienie zrobienia zdjęć).
Maleńki minus - hałas jeżdżących motorów - nie jest to wina gospodarzy, po prostu lokalizacja większości domów.

June looked after us and carved my dad a walking stick for the bush walks and she got me mango juice because she found out mango was my favourite. Marley was by far the best guide out there and he helped us find every bird and animal we wanted to find!!

Reviewed Jun 14, 2026si je devais revenir à Tangkoko, je retournerai au Family Homestay ! Jun est très accueillante, de bonne humeur et très marrante ! En tant que voyageuse solo c’était super. Elle m’a recommandé un très bon guide pour la réserve et j’ai pu observer pleins d’animaux. La nourriture du restau est très bonne et les chambres sont niquel (grande, climatisée, salle de bain privée). Elle m’a aussi emmené au marché de Bitung et m’a fait goûter à un plat javanais qu’elle adore. Je suis restée 2 nuits, j’aurai pu rester plus !! Je recommande, 100/10.

Reviewed Jun 13, 2026Mi habitación estaba impecablemente limpia y olía muy bien al entrar. El aire acondicionado y el wifi han funcionado perfectamente las 3 noches que he pasado en este homestay. La habitación es espaciosa. El personal es muy amable. El desayuno puedes elegir entre uba tortilla o unos pancakes. Café, té o agua. Es senzillo, pero correcto. Muy agradecida de que mi último día me fui muy pronto y se levantaron a las 5.30am para prepararme la tortilla.
Lo único que puedo decir es que la zona común parecía un cementerio de insectos, pero es la manera de que mueran y no entren a las habitaciones.

The host didn't introduce himself, just showed me the room. He didn't tell me where u could get breakfast or any other information. I didn't see the host during my 2 night stay or when I left. Very strange and rude. There is only cold water. The decor is awful.

Der Tourguide der organisiert wurde hatte leider nicht sonderlich viel Wissen während der Wanderung durch den Dschungel geben können. Er wirkte leider nicht sonderlich motiviert und interessiert daran und etwas zu zeigen er rannte mehr durch die Wege.

The place is very clean and very close to the natural park. Also 10 min walk to the town, beach and supermarket. The staff are very gentle. It is a very good place to stay and explore Tangkoko.
I am ok with it, but there is no hot water.

The owner is a ranger as well and went straight for a walk with us in the afternoon and in the morning as well. Finding all the cute creatures in the forest. Location wise as well it is ideal, within 5 minutes you walk through the gate for tangkoko. We want to thank them a lot for our stay.

La familia que lo lleva son muy amables y te ayudan en todo lo que pueden, también llevan un precioso restaurante que forma parte de las instalaciones, la comida riquísima!! La habitación muy espaciosa y cómoda. Súper cerca de la entrada del parque natural, se puede ir andando. Homestay muy recomendable, te sientes como en casa!

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026Super emplacement près de Tangkoko. J'ai eu deux visites (une le soir et une le lendemain) organisées par le personnel. La chambre est équipée de climatisation, une salle de bain privée, et grand lit et de l'espace. J'ai même reçu des snacks locaux à essayer (au passage, ils sont excellents). Le restaurant qui leur appartient est aussi très bon. Le personnel m'a même aidé lorsque mon chauffeur de taxi n'est jamais arrivé.

Reviewed Nov 22, 2025The family here are lovely. Breakfast is simple but tasty, and lunch/dinner is available at the family restaurant which is good value and delicious. The room is spacious with a comfortable bed and good A/C. Our guide (Marley?) was brilliant! We had great views of all the animals we wanted through the telescope and Marley always made sure we got good pictures. The family also helped us secure local transport out of the village at a reasonable price.
The road can be noisy with motorbikes early in the morning.

Reviewed Nov 18, 2025Great spot close to Tangkoko. The national park is just a short walk away, lovely homestay with super friendly owners. Felt like a little home from home. They organised a morning and evening tour for me and I saw everything I wanted to see. Marley the brother of the owner guided me through the National Park. Aircon, towels, free breakfast and tea and water. Big spacious and clean room with comfy bed and own bathroom. Also had a desk. Great place. Got some fruits to try as well. Tour starts 4:30 for the evening one and 6am for the morning one. NP entrance fee is 100k fyi per day. Only hope there will be a mosquito net in the future just to minimize mosquito bites…

Claudio è stata una guida meravigliosa! Hanno anche un piccolo warung con ottimo cibo e prezzi convenienti. Altamente consigliato!

La chambre était très bien (drap de dessus de lit non fourni, comme dans d'autres hôtels), le diner était très bon. Nous avons visité la réserve avec un guide de l'hôtel, il était investi et a tout fait pour que nous voyions un maximum d'animaux.

Reviewed Sep 15, 2025Schönes großes sauberes Zimmer. Tourguide für den Ausflug in den Nationalpark kann auch kurzfristig arrangiert werden. Ein Supermarkt befindet sich im Ort und der Eingang vom Nationalpark ist nicht weit entfernt. Das Essen im angrenzenden Restaurant ist lecker und günstig.
Frühstück gab es immer erst spät, teilweise erst nach 10:00 Uhr. Verständlich für die Leute die die Nationalpark Tour machen, aber wenn man die Tour nicht jeden Tag macht, dann schon ein bisschen spät.

Reviewed Aug 18, 2025La habitación era amplia y la cama muy cómoda. Estaba en plena entrada al parque de Tangkoko y desde el primer momento nos ofrecieron los tours por el parque. El restaurante aunque no está incluído en el propio hotel, tiene mucha variedad y está bastante rico si no tienes mucha prisa.
El desayuno el primer día fue bastante pobre, el segundo al pedir un cambio y unos huevos mejoró.

Reviewed Aug 12, 2025タンココ自然保護区のツアーをアレンジしてくれました。ガイドのGIANはとてもいい方でした。ぜひお礼を伝えて欲しいです。隣接のワルンも美味しかったです。ビールが置いてあるのはありがたいです。 シャワーは水のみですが大丈夫でした。 Wi-Fiは少し弱めですがスマホを操作する分には問題ないです。仕事のアップロード、ダウンロードは少し時間がかかります。
洗面所の水がそのまま部屋の外に垂れ流されていました。環境面で心配です。 ベッドのブランケットの細かな屑が服に着いて取れません。変えた方がいいと思いました。

Reviewed Aug 2, 2025We spent a great time there, we had much space for us in a typical indonesian homestay. The food in the restaurant was very tasty and everything was nice. Especially the djungle tour was amazing. Thank you, Gian and Gerald, for your efforts to show us the beautiful animals there. The group wasn't too big and We have a lot very good pictures and nice memories of this day. I would definitly come back here.

Reviewed Aug 1, 2025Einfach aber sehr sauber. Alle waren super freundlich, 5 Minuten Fußweg zum Parkeingang, Guide wurde auf meinen Wunsch organisiert. Hatte eine tolle Zeit dort!
Das Frühstück besteht aus 4 Pancakes mit Sirup. Naja

Reviewed Jul 31, 2025De locatie vlakbij het natuurpark, en de uitbaatster was zeer vriendelijk . Het restaurant naast de deur was praktisch en goed. De aanwezigheid van airco was een pluspunt.
Het ontbijt was wel zeer schaars, de gordijn kon omwille van gebrek aan privacy eigenlijk niet open , wat maakte dat het niet gezellig was overdag.

Reviewed Jul 27, 2025La situation de l'hébergement est idéal pour effectuer la visite du parc que nous avons effectué en fin d'après midi. Au programme : couscous, Tarsien, tarentules. Super pancakes au petit-déjeuner, bon repas le soir, chambre propre. Une bonne nuit au calme avant de reprendre la route pour Tomohon.
