Everything .. the location the Farm the food and the comfy bed and a fabulous warm welcome
Perfect stay
The Brampton Dales farm is a charming place to stay with cosy independent rooms set around a central courtyard with lovely countryside around, includng many farm animals. Our host were friendly and kind and prepared an incredibly good cooked breakfast featuring home baked breads and home made jams. The value for money was great and much appreciated.
Great room very cosy , bed comfortable and the breakfast Hugh cooked was amazing
Was all good
We had a lovely stay and the hosts were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area. The breakfast was lovely and I appreciated the effort taken to provide me with a gluten free breakfast. (I have coeliac disease)
The bed was a bit squeaky! And the sink in the bathroom was a bit small.
In a quiet location
Unfortunately bed was a bit creaky.
Lovely quaint room with en-suite
Everything was great -there was nothing not to like and Hugh was a really friendly gracious host will definitely be returning
Lovely people, so friendly. Very clean everything you needed
Everything was perfect
The Breakfast is spectacular fresh bread and eggs from the hens in the farm yard , the rest locally sourced , top quality. The Animals are a bonus the Sheep are a tad aloof but cant mark the place down for that :)
Nothing I loved the place , well off the beaten track but easy to find with GPS
We loved everything about our visit. Hugh made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and by the time we left we felt like we had been visiting an old friend. The location is beautiful and our little cottage was very cosy and comfortable. We are animal lovers, and for us Brampton Dales Farm is animal heaven with chickens and the two pet sheep, Ronnie and Reggie, roaming freely about the place. The atmosphere Hugh has created is very much one of a previous era, which again we loved. A million miles away from, and far better than, the antiseptic feel of a modern chain hotel. The full English breakfast was excellent and the price for our stay was very reasonable.
There was absolutely nothing to dislike.
What a little gem! I cannot speak highly enough about this find! Super clean, very friendly and a gut busting breakfast to send me on my way. Plus!! animals!
Nothing
Hospitality of the Owner throughout our stay. Breakfast was good, especially the homemade fresh bread and freshly laid eggs. Pillows comfortable.
Bed was a little creaky. Bathroom sink was a bit too small for our own personal liking, but adequate for a small space. We didn't like the carpet in bathroom, and a suggestion would be to replace it with flooring to modernise it, but still in keeping with the quaintness of the room. We believe it would appeal to more guests, but nothing major to dislike, just our own personal preference.
Friendly welcome Great breakfast
Hugh el dueño es genial. Estar rodeado de animales. Un desayuno inglés espectacular. Bonita y amplia habitación.
Quizás un poco lejos de Lincoln
All aspects of the stay was extremely. Thank you.
Loved the rustic atmosphere with it being a farm and lots of gorgeous animals . Absolute gut buster breakfast and didn’t eat for the rest of the day Host was first class and loved Ronnie and Reggie the resident sheep .
All perfect
So quirky. Fabulous hosts
Lovely welcome . Really off the beaten track . Quirkiness of the family of animals on the farm . Quietness and feeling of really being in the countryside with no hustle or bustle . The lovely breakfast kept me going until the evening !
Perhaps a bit more dusting to have taken place beforehand , though I would have no hesitation in staying again .
The farm itself is very welcoming, with lots of animals, which we absolutely loved. The owner was friendly, well-traveled, and enjoyable to talk to. At our request, he showed us the animals, which made our stay even more special. The bed was comfortable, and the room was stocked with tea, coffee, and fresh milk. It was a cosy, compact room with everything we needed. Free parking was available right in front of the house, on the edge of the forest, with no problems at all. There were also lots of adorable little rabbits around the property, which added to the charm.
We didn't find it very comfortable that the entrance hall also served as the bathroom and toilet. There were also quite a few spiders, and although we understand it's a working farm, not all of the local wildlife is to everyone's taste. We also felt that the cleanliness could have been better. The cups and cutlery were slightly sticky, which left room for improvement. That said, these were relatively minor issues, and overall we still had a positive experience.
The room was beautiful with excellent facilities, the host was superb
Nothing
I enjoyed the breakfasts, the room was clean and well laid out. The staff were helpful and friendly.
The bed was not as comfortable as I would of expected, The door to the bathroom rubbed on the floor and was not easy to open fully.
Comfy rooms with delicious breakfast and super friendly hosts.
Friendly owners, lovely location, enjoyed feeding the alpacas! Fresh milk to make drinks - perfect, and a lovely walk to the pub for food.
Shower leaked and the temperature was a little unpredictable but everything else was good.
Hugh (the gaffer) is an absolute gem....a great raconteur and master chef! The breakfasts he cooks are superb! The farm location is perfect for a quiet get away and a perfect antidote to impersonal chain hotels! Keep up the good work Hugh!
There is nothing to dislike, unless you are off your head.
Lovely peaceful spot
We were cycling. There is a pub in the village for food in the evening but it doesn't open on a Monday. There are no other facilities in the village.
Our 2nd visit to the farm and is always a decent stay value for money nice peaceful location breakfast always decent
Nothing really as I said last time not much of a view from the room but that's it if you go outside the farm there is lots of rural view plenty of wildlife.
Homely and so welcoming all the gorgeous animals made it for me !!
Nothing it’s great ! Highly recommend
Great location very countrified and guilt
All good but bathroom a little tight
Great countryside location. Lovely breakfast beautifully laid out with English crockery and tablecloths.
The rooster was a bit enthusiastic in his early morning duties.
Very friendly and helpful -great place to stay
Nothing
Everything about Brampton Dales Farm is 1st class 👌. Accommodation is very good. Hugh and Marian very nice, also Gemma and Gemma lovely ( Staff. ) Would recommend staying at this lovely B & B.
Could not find anything not to like.
Cokrel waking us up early.
Breakfast was really good. Host very friendly. Good local pub 10 mins walk away.
Having to climb exterior steep steps to get to the room.
No choice or options but well cooked breakfast.
Give the place a deep clean. Looks like a converted farm outbuilding.Crockery in room cracked and stained. Cutlery was silver and needed cleaning. Bins not emptied. Dangerous step at exit. Washing on line in outside seating area and draped across our exit door. Rolled up rug in wardrobe. Entrance to room was through the bathroom. Missing floor covering around sink. Old fixtures and fittings that are past their sell by date. All quirky but not to our taste or standard of hygiene. Homemade jam in a pot used by others over months.
Amazing place tucked away down a country lane, no noise, no unnatural light.....absolutely perfect!!!! Hosts are amazing, cannot do enough for you, room was a very good size, everything needed for a stay, lovely hot shower, bed was comfy, linen was nice and clean and smelt country fresh......breakfast was excellent.....and there was plenty of choice, and hot drink refills galore, felt like a little village tea room.....and u get to pet the animals if u so wish.
Absolutely nothing!!!!
From the very moment we arrived, was greeted by Hugh and everything from then on brilliant. The tranquil quiet location, the animals 100% fab. The interaction Hugh and his Staff gave is 2nd to none, breakfast time was great fun.
Nothing to dislike
Very cool farm and B&B experience. Exactly what we were wanting to kick off our UK experience. Lovely staff and excellent breakfast. Meeting the farm animals was the cherry on top. Highly recommend!
excellent venue for my requirements and Hugh was a great host and extremely attentive, nothing being too much trouble.
It was in a delightful setting with animals having a share in everything !
Quiet, comfortable room, delicious breakfast, Hugh was very friendly and it was lovely to meet the horse, alpacas, sheep and chickens!
The only issue we had was that the shower taps were difficult to move with wet hands. The shower pressure was good.
Breakfast was very good and the host provided a gf breakfast alternative. Friendly people. Good nights sleep.
Coatvhangers suitable for trousers/skirts
Hugh was vey friendly, room was clean and everything I needed, breakfast was excellent.
Our room was large and nicely decorated. Our breakfast was excellent and the tea room beautifully decorated and with nice table settings. It was a nice farm setting.
Nothing.
Another fantastic stay. Wonderful welcome and delicious breakfast
Quirky, rural & quiet.
All ok, room was a small double so quite compact.
Easy to find. Lovely room and decor. ( photos do not do it justice) loved the farm animals .
We had an amazing stay with Hugh and Marian. Great hosts, beautiful surroundings and a delicious breakfast. We'll definitely be coming back to visit again 😊
Nothing to dislike
Areal homelike feel
Most enjoyable stay
Hugh is a fantastic host he recommended pub as we arrived tea time friday hungry after our drive, room was clean and spacious, most comfortable bed, the addition to the farm is the animals 😀 Hugh let us feed the alpacas Roxy the greedy one lol. She's the boss. Breakfast was amazing best I've had in ages and very plentiful with fresh homemade bread. Will definitely stay here again.
Maybe a biscuit 🤔 in the room for the tea.
Beautiful location, hosts were wonderful. Proper oldy worldy full of character. Amazing cooked breakfast.
All we love in a B&B , warm, welcoming, clean and comfortable. Loved the vintage decor, the antithesis of the current fashion of bland, grey minimalist decor. We didn't realise that the breakfast room would continue the theme. Loved the china, the double-layer tablecloths, mismatched but upholstered chairs and they had my bedroom wallpaper! Just loved it. Hugh is a great host and has a good team.
Only slight issue was the shower door. My husband has a large tum and he struggled to get through the door with it's hinges set several inches into the opening rather than being on the side.
Location excellent, Breakfast exceptionall (bread freshly baked on site,l fresh eggs from resident chickens Easy access and parkingl Hugh was an excellent host. Really enjoyed stay, Hope to stay there next year again..
Eine ganz aussergewöhliche Unterkunft und perfekte Gastgeber. Gute Informationen im voraus, sehr freundlicher Empfang und das Frühstück einmalig. Ein Ort, wo man nicht gerne weg geht❤️
We thought the cooked breakfast was very good
We didn't like that the Cereals and orange jucice were not laid out to help you self.
wonderful welcome, breakfast was excellent and love the farm setting. good value.
Not a fan of carpet in the toilet/ bathroom, due to stains , splash.
Excellent place breakfast was stunning staff friendly room was spacious and large shower
Great breakfast friendly host
All good
Being among the farm animals . The peace and quiet. The friendliness of Hugh. The comfortable cosy acvommodation
Area for relaxing and spending time outside. Clean bathroom and bedroom. Comfy bed with clean sheets.
All was good comfortable stay good breakfast Hugh was a very good host
I liked it all may be a slightly better view from our room but overall was good
We particularly enjoyed chatting with Hugh who we found very hospitable. Breakfast was exceptional and the location is beautiful
NA
Hugh is a great host! Great breakfast..Quite location
Lovely host, Hugh took such good care of us. Incredible breakfast and homemade bread. Really wished we could've stayed for longer.
Our room was brightly lit by two lamps outside, but I'm sure if we'd asked Hugh he would've arranged for differnt curtains to be put up which were available in the room.
Everything
Comfortable, cosy , great breakfast lovely hosts
Nothing
The country side and the animals was bliss
The room would of preferred a view
Rural location, friendly owner/cook, delicious cooked breakfast with home made bread, room straight onto little farm courtyard hence the carpets weren't pristine. Everything great
No complaints.
THE BREAKFAST WAS LOVELY ESPECIALLY THE HOMEMADE BREAD AND JAMS.
IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER IF THERE WERE DRAWERS OR A WARDROBE TO PUT YOUR CLOTHES, AS WE WERE THERE FOR THREE NIGHTS, IT WAS NOT VERY CONVENIENT.
Just a fantastic stay
Such a lovely little rural escape. Cosy little individual guest rooms, very clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hosts were wonderful and the breakfast was delicious! I loved opening my door in the morning and being greeted by friendly sheep, chickens and alpacas! Will definitely stay again if in the area and would highly recommend for anyone visiting Lincolnshire 🤩
Cosy, comfy bed, very clean, gorgeous breakfast and lovely animals to see.
Breakfast was excellent! Nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of hot water, good bedding and comfortable bed. Heating was good too. The owner, Hugh, and Gemma the Assistant, were very kind and helpful. Would definitely not hesitate to come back in the future.
Liked everything. Nothing to dislike in such a quiet and peaceful area.
Our second visit to Brampton Dales Farm. Somewhere to stay that isn’t run of the mill in a peaceful location. Comfortable, clean room with a lovely view (Sun Rise). Hugh is friendly and nothing is too much trouble - he cooks a great breakfast too. We had a lovely time!
We liked everything.
Fabulous breakfast, delicious home made bread, baked that morning. All the staff were lovely, the owner was such an interesting gentleman. The room was clean & comfortable and the location was perfect, picturesque and quiet. Would definitely like to stay again.
Nothing. It was lovely.
The location for us was perfect. The owners were charming & very friendly. The accommodation was clean & a lovely 'cottage core' style. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice available. There is a pub serving good quality food just a short drive away.
the owners and staff were very good and kind, they also showed us the horses, chickens, sheep and lamas and let us feed the lamas in the morning. the room was nice with tea coffee available with fresh milk. the breakfast was exceptional
Fantastic host, comfy bed, the accommodation was in beautiful surroundings. Scrummy breakfast as well!!
It was all fab!
Traditional B&B England as it used to be.
Very good plenty of it. Bit out of the way for older people.
Rough road getting there
The breakfast was first class and very fresh home made bread. Only best quality bacon sausages and produce used.
The location was great and the owner and staff were lovely. Great breakfast
Really cute country room. Very relaxing and welcoming Hugh on our arrival. Loved it. Enjoyed the surrounding sheep, and chickens Breakfast was also lovely. Soft and comfortable room and bed..
Nothing. All good.
Extremely comfortable friendly host alpacas absolutely awesome
The farm was up a lane off the main high street. It was easy to find. It was a pleasant location, farmyard with various animals, nice garden views and courtyard seating. The rooms were separate from the main house and comfy and warm. Piping hot water, always a bonus. The hosts were friendly, interesting and happy to chat. We had a full English breakfast cooked by the host, even freshly baked bread and home made preserves. Nothing was too much trouble. Quirky vintage decor, stove in the dining room...we will definitely stay again
There was nothing I did not like.
Hugh was a lovely character, the room was quirky and the breakfast was delicious, was lovely meeting the horses and dogs when we were leaving 😀
The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was really good!
Location fantastic Rooms Beautiful and Clean and Very comfortable and relaxing and Hugh and his staff were very helpful nothing was a problem and Breakfast was spot on

The best night's sleep ever. Comfortable, clean, charming. Ideal location to get away from it all. Host could not have been more helpful. Delicious homemade breakfast. Could not ask for anything more. We will be back!
Wouldn't change a thing

Nothing
All good - was exactly what we like in accomodation/hospitality
was fine - don't change a thing
Had everything you needed
Very nice and relaxing lovely staff Great breakfast
The host was wonderful, our room was clean and as a vegetarian they went out of their way to provide a lovely fresh breakfast
.
Great breakfast, Hugh was was very approachable and informative. Room was very clean and comfortable. Hugh was most entertaining and Gemma was very friendly. We went to visit Hemswell Antiques but there was far too much to get around in one and a half day. So we will definitely be returning to Brampton Dales Farm to complete our visit. Lincoln is also on on our agenda.
Not booking a longer stay.
So clean and comfortable Staff really friendly Everything we needed for our overnight stay
