White House Mirissa

We had the most wonderful stay here! ❤️ From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed and comfortable. The hosts are genuinely two of the sweetest, kindest and most helpful people we have met during our entire trip. They were incredibly warm, cooperative and always made sure we had everything we needed. A special mention to Aunty she is absolutely lovely! 🥹❤️ And the food she prepared for us was SO delicious. It truly felt like having a home-cooked meal away from home. We honestly feel so lucky that we got to stay here and meet such wonderful people. The warmth and hospitality made our stay even more special. We would 100% come back again, not just to stay here but also to meet them both. If you’re looking for a place that feels warm, welcoming and homely, we highly recommend staying here. ❤️ Thank you so much for making our Sri Lanka trip even more memorable! God bless you both. 🙏❤️

Las habitaciones y el baño eran grandes y estaban muy limpias. El desayuno Fue muy abundante. Asanka, estuvo pendiente para facilitarme algunas actividades que me interesaban,(Ballenas y snorquel con tortugas). Muchas gracias🙏

Everything!! Locations spot on , was clean, the owners were so friendly, safe parking for our Tuk Tuk. The breakfast wow … food just kept coming !!! You will never go hungry!

Enkelt och välstädat rum med bra AC och fläkt. Väldigt bra läge med gångavstånd till huvudgatan och stränder men samtidigt bortom allt brus. Jättetrevlig värd som ordnade stor frukost som var jättegod

Exceptional value for money, located only 5 minutes walk from the beach. The breakfast is incredible and varies every day - very generous portions too! The host is wonderful, super friendly and very helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here if coming to Mirissa.

A lovely, quiet family-based homestay, with all the facilities you need and very close to the beach. The lady of the house prepared us delicious breakfasts - you won't go away hungry!

Grande salle de bain avec eau chaude Wifi de bonne qualité Petit déjeuner copieux et différent tous les jours Le tout à deux des plages et de bons restaurants tranquilles (see gem par exemple). Rapport qualité prix parfait. Rien à dire, on recommande vivement 👍

The house is nice and very close to the beach, 5 minutes on foot. We were welcomed with tea and cake and that was well appreciated. AC and Wi-Fi work good. Nice people. Breakfast was also good enough.

Villetta con giardino, camera e bagno ampi, a pochi passi da spiaggia e supermercato. Abbiamo lasciato gli zaini oltre il check out per una giornata intera. Comunicazione via whatsapp costante e organizzazione impeccabile del whale watching tour con barca e staff ottimi.

The place was very close to the main road as well as the beach . Very quiet and neatly maintained.Will visit again.

Stayed here for a few nights and really enjoyed it ! Both Asanka and his mum were super lovely and very welcoming. The breakfast made by Asanka’s mum every morning was very tasty. Great location, only 10 mins walk to mirissa centre, beaches etc If you get the chance , book here 😍😍

Cheap, worry-free, nice place The host's mother made good breakfast, and accommodated my request to make it completely plant based (the breakfast was then simpler, but I still appreciated her ability to do so.

We had a really lovely stay at Asanka's place. He sent us a message before our stay, helped us with everything (an incredibly good whale watching trip, tips for Mirissa, transportation to the next place) and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. Her mother made incredibly good breakfasts (pancakes😍), different every morning. The room itself was clean and safe (even when we forgot the key in the door one morning🙈), wifi and air conditioning worked well. The location was great, walking distance to several beaches and restaurants. Thank you for everything, we will definitely come back to Asanka and her family❤️

We had a perfect stay at the White House guest house. As you arrive at the property it is gated so you can store your bike / tuktuk safely off the road. It has a gorgeous garden which has clearly had a lot of love go into it. It’s very peaceful and you can’t hear the noise of the roads. We had a large comfy king size bed with a mosquito net which is a plus. The bathroom was also big with an electric shower so we could have hot water 24 hours a day. The air con was powerful and kept us cool. The wifi was also good. The owners were so lovely, making us a delicious breakfast every morning including traditional Sri Lankan sweets on New Year’s Day. The guest house is in an ideal location, walking distance from everything. There is also a small shop next door so you can get anything you need. There’s many decent restaurants and beach clubs with swimming pools in walking distance too. We loved our stay and will definitely be back. I would say this guest house is the best value for money out of everywhere I’ve been in Sri Lanka.

The location of the house is perfect, close to the beach but in a calm neighborhood. The room was very clean and tidy and had everything you needed. The breakfast was perfect served every morning by the lovely mother of Asanka. Asanka gave us some good tips for what to do in Mirissa and was always there to help. Would totally recommend staying here if you are planning to go to Mirissa! We really enjoyed it and were sad to leave. Thankyou Asanka and thankyou to your lovely mother!

The host was excellent - very friendly reception and gave us useful information about the area. The garden is peaceful in a beautiful setting. The bed was very comfortable, and great to have air conditioning! Just a short walk from the beach! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend :)

Clean room, everything you need - good air conditioning and fan, comfortable bed and mosquito net, bathroom with good water pressure and warm water. Location is a few minutes from the main beach, and about 12 minutes walk from "secret beach" (much more chilled and in the mornings/evenings you can see turtles if you have a snorkel). Breakfast is nice - omelette, fruit, yoghurt and a little something Sri Lankan like sweet coconut pancakes, or roti. Good value for money

We had a fantastic time at Mirissa White House. The beach is just around the corner, only a short four-minute walk away, and the harbor is also within easy reach. The accommodation had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. We highly recommend this place and would gladly return anytime!

I had an amazing stay at this homestay in Mirissa! The room was spacious and the big, cozy bed made for perfect nights of sleep. One of the absolute highlights was the incredible breakfast—fresh, delicious, and truly a dream to wake up to every morning. The host family was unbelievably warm and welcoming, making me feel at home from the moment I arrived. The bathroom had hot water with great water pressure, which was such a plus. The air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping the room cool even on the hottest days. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to both the beach and the town center, making everything super convenient. If you’re looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and well-located place in Mirissa, this is the perfect choice. I would come back in a heartbeat!

We are three friends from Scotland and Sweden who came to surf, do yoga, and enjoy our vacation. The service was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and generous, both coffee and te and we could even choose approximately what time we wanted to have it. The rooms were spacious with AC, the Wi-Fi was great, and the beach was within walking distance. If I return to Mirissa, I will definitely book here again!

Lovely and helpfully family. Exellence breakfast, every day you can taste different local food. You can book tours. Location good, silence neighbourhood, only few minutes to the beach and restaurants.

The host and his family were very friendly. We had an amazing time there :) The room was rly nice and clean and the AC worked perfectly . The breakfast was rly nice and we have got every day anorher variety of food. The location is perfect its between the main beach and the secret beach :) We felt very welcomed and would totally recommend this place ! :)

Nice welcome by the family, lots of useful information what you can see in Mirissa. Caring family, mother cooks delicious breakfast that changes every morning. You live in the same building floor as the family - they use the backside of the house, you use the front. Rooms are clean, Wi-Fi stable, Breakfast delicious, AC works fine.

Everything was perfect! The homestay is located not far from the one side of the beach (around 5 minutes walk). Everything was clean, the bathroom is super big, the room was simple but nice. The hosts are very friendlyand kind people, the breakfast was delicious.

The Place is very close to the beach, hardly 150 metres walk. Asanka is a super host. He is quite comfortable at conversing in English. Super friendly hosts. Asanka's mom cooks amazing local breakfast. You can give your dietary restrictions one day before and she accommodates them in your next day breakfast. Room is comfortable for two. It is a steal deal for the location and the amenities.
