Surroundings were just great. No neighbours, just the nature and animals. Great place to recharge our batteries for next days. And delicious breakfast

We loved the beautiful interiors, very comfy beds, fine breakfast and lovely gardens...and, of course, the friendly staff.

Lovely country-house style B&B deep in the middle of nowhere. Nice gardens and grounds. Friendly, helpful host. Excellent breakfast. Beds comfortably hard. Everything very clean. Beautiful old house with some history to it and nice antique furniture.

Electric sockets were not quite plentiful enough. Room was not very soundproof. Bathroom was fine, but small.

Extrem gutes und reichhaltiges Frühstück in mehreren Varianten am Vorabend bestellbar. Bei unserem Twin Room war das Bad (zu unserer ausschließlichen Nutzung) den langen Flur runter. Man muss den Charme solcher Häuser schon mögen. Es kann sich innen kälter anfühlen als außen. Insgesamt aber eine tolle Erfahrung mit gutem Preis- Leistungsverhältnis und ordentlicher Sauberkeit.

Loved the animals and the setting. Really enjoyed the sauna. Staff in the morning at breakfast were awesome 🙌

The gravel outside was very noisy when people were walking on it and the car tyres were loud.Disrupting the beautiful quiet and tranquility. The shower needs heaps of attention and the mattress was awful..that yoke was old hard and lumpy.Carpet next to the bed was very dirty.

The relaxed atmosphere, the respect for nature, the mixture of old and modern, the idyllic setting inducing a sense of calm, the wholesome breakfast, including freshly made delicious scones.

Un cadre magnifique perdu dans la campagne, avec une vraie personnalité pour chaque chambre et espace du domaine. L'accueil était convivial (on nous a prêté des lunettes pour l'éclipse), les discussions faciles et animées. Le petit déjeuner est royal : meilleur full irish breakfast du séjour !

Pas beaucoup d'eau chaude en soirée mais c'est un détail que nous n'avons même pas abordé avec nos hôtes.

La struttura è immersa in un bellissimo parco, la posizione è decentrata rispetto alle principali vie di comunicazioni. Buona colazione preparata al momento, personale disponibile, il proprietario parla italiano. Letto abbastanza comodo, anche se i materassi dovrebbero essere rinnovati.

Il posto necessita di una maggiore cura nella pulizia.

It is amazing accommodation in a beautiful Regency house. Jeff and staff very welcoming and the grounds are well kept and great to walk about. Most people only stay one night for B and B but we stayed 3 nights and explored the area. It is a great place from which to explore (need a car). We also loved the sitting room area and the whole place is really clean and well kept. very restful

There were limited GF options for breakfast and we bought our own soya yoghurt. They have a guest fridge, which is an excellent idea, so it is easy to bring what is needed. We also had a private bathroom separate from our main room rather than en suite. Not a problem really but they do have en suites so worth specifying if this is what you need.

The flair of that accommodation is very special.

Regrettably, the unique property is somewhat secluded—a factor that can be somewhat offset by planning ahead for dinner.

Nous avons tout apprécié, le confort des lits, la grande douche, le sauna, l'entrée privée, la décoration. Le jardin est très beau ainsi que le reste de la propriété et le petit déjeuner est excellent. Les propriétaires ainsi que les personnes du petit déjeuner étaient très accueillants. J'ai voulu faire une bonne surprise à ma famille en réservant dans ce lieu, et ma surprise a été un succès, merci!

A great house with a beautiful garden, lots of animals (dogs, goats, chickens, a peacock and a duck), a fantastic breakfast and absolutely superb service.

Ein wirklich außergewöhnlicher Ort mit Liebe hergerichtet und toller Umgebung. Der schönste Aufenthalt in Irland für uns. Ganz tolle Gastgeber, Familien geführt. Ein Platz, an dem man sich wirklich wohl fühlt, kann ich sehr empfehlen.

Gorgeous property with fantastic gardens. The owners deeply care about the property and guest experience which is reflected in their excellent hospitality. Super breakfast. The chickens, goats, peacocks and dogs were a huge hit with our little one, and the owners were really kind to him. The added extras of a guest fridge freezer were very helpful. If we are in the area again we will definitely return.

An option for a packed breakfast for an early departure would have been nice but we understood that this is not something they do.

The rooms were extremely comfortable and clean. The breakfast staff was very friendly. The owners gave wonderful recommendations, made us feel very welcome, and invited us to explore anywhere in the property which has beautiful gardens, views of the mountains, paths, sitting locations, etc.

In één woord geweldig! Als je van mooie ruime Engelse kasteelkamers houdt, ben je daar op de juiste plaats. Ook het ontbijt was heerlijk! Ga daar zeker nog eens terug.

Je moet niet verwachten dat er in de directe buurt veel te doen is, maar wij vermaakten ons prima.

Garden is nice

I stayed in a “triple single” room which was described as non-ensuite, but in practice the bathroom was located down a full flight of stairs and across two corridors. This made it quite impractical, particularly when travelling with a child and needing access during the night. In addition, the flooring in both rooms was in poor condition, with noticeable large gashes and damage, which raised concerns about general maintenance and safety. While I understand the room was not ensuite, the overall layout and condition were more difficult than expected and may not be suitable for families or anyone needing easy bathroom access. Unfortunately, what made the experience worse was the host’s communication. When I raised concerns, the responses included personal comments about my circumstances and parenting, which I found inappropriate and unprofessional. Overall, I did not feel comfortable continuing my stay and had to leave early. I would recommend carefully considering room layout and condition before booking.

Fell in love with it as we drove up to the house-everything and more than we expected, a perfect country retreat. The house and gardens felt warm and welcoming and made us wish we were staying longer. Gorgeous whimsy details throughout, something special at every turn. Beds comfortable, shower warm and breakfast exceptional. Our dog was warmly welcomed by Nick and his dogs, wonderful spending time here.

Nothing particularly. We had to have early due to travel before breakfasts started so an early breakfast option or something else instead would have made it perfect for us but we understand why that can’t always be possible. It was a lovely stay and would visit again.

De tuin, de keuze én service van het ontbijt, de vrijheid die je ervaart. Sauna op de kamer werkt ook prima. De kinderen waren gek op de honden en de andere dieren.

The Irish breakfast was amazing, and the rooms were beautiful, so unique and with a real sense of luxury.

The house is clean, tidy, and well-maintained! Clean, fresh bedding. All equipment works. The owner is always in touch and kindly answers all questions, a very pleasant and helpful person! Definitely would recommend! And amazing garden around!

Amazing nature, beautiful house and great breakfast.

Little details could be improved ( no plugs in certain bathrooms, could be better isolation to keep the breakfast smell just in kitchen. But overall not really big flaws

The property is set on beautiful manicured gardens, the rooms are spacious and the decor throughout is a mixture of classic country house meets bouji colour pop. Really gorgeous.

The location was fantastic. Very rural yet so close to many attractions. Within 30-60 minutes you could be at the beach, a museum, a woodland walk. And a lovely cafe in the nearby town. The gardens were lovely and the atmosphere was so relaxed. The breakfast was great too. Lots to commend the place to be fair.

I couldn't fault it really. Maybe a hairdryer?

Our last stop on our tour around Ireland definitely didn’t disappoint; we wanted somewhere to relax, walk, rest and this definitely did all that for us. Nick met us with little furry ball Luna his puppy and showed us around his beautiful home full of old charm and character, he was warm, friendly and very funny. We had decided we wanted to stay in the room with the sauna for a special treat for my husband who loves a sauna. The room was great for us with a table and chairs a massive bed with a heated blanket, pure comfort a fantastic shower room with two powerful showers and the Pièce de résistance for my husband was the sauna! It was a beautiful afternoon and we’d already decided we’d go out to get some nice food and wine to take back relax and enjoy our surroundings. The gardens are beautiful and we met some colourful inhabitants along the way. The duck was a funny chap and the two Arundel dogs were not phased by us one bit. We checked out the chickens and spent a ridiculously long time coaxing one of the peacocks off the roof and trying to get a good picture of him. Breakfast the next morning, which you need to book your time slot and what you want the night before (we decided, go late!) was outstanding, I had read that Sarah doing the cooking was a wonderful chef and she didn’t disappoint, my cheese, tomato and mushroom omelette was exceptional and my husband loved his full Irish breakfast, definitely such good cuisine. I would recommend Clone House and gardens to anyone looking to book accommodation in this area, it’s a real relaxing haven. Thank you Nick, staff and animals, we’d love to come back

The driveway was difficult for a low car. No tv in room. Location a bit too isolated for us. 20 minutes to nearest restaurant or pub.

The place is older fashioned and has a charm because of this. It is in a quiet and beautiful location. The breakfast was excellent. An excellent place to explore the Eastern Wicklow area.

One of our rooms had a private bathroom but this was some distance from the bedroom. The advertisement noted that it wasn't an en-suite, but we didn't expect to walk down a long corridor.

Beautiful old house. Gardens were somewhat overgrown, but fabulous nonetheless.

Bed was not too comfortable.

What a gem of a find!! Such a beautiful country house with lovely grounds. Fabulous owners and staff and not forgetting all the animals!! Great wifi if you need to do a bit of work but loved not having a TV in the room to disconnect and listen to the sounds of nature around. Will definitely be returning regularly.
