Perfectly located right next to the Dambulla Cave Temple. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. Everyone was superb, and any requests were handled quickly and professionally. A special mention to Damian and Siddhu, who were especially helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Do note that not every room has a TV, but the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable which made up for it. The food was good with a decent variety of options, making it easy to find something enjoyable each day. Overall, a great stay in an excellent location!

Location and setting

The staff were fantastic, going out of their way to make our stay comfortable. If we wanted something changed or attended to they responded straight away. Siddu the manager were especially helpful in arranging tours etc. The safari was just super.

Gute und ruhige Lage sehr nah an den Caves, Resort inmitten eines eigentlich schön angelegten Urwald-Gartens, weitgehend nette Zimmer, gutes Restaurant, sehr bemühter Service, vor allem der zuständige Manager war außerordentlich zugewandt und aufmerksam. Wir bekamen am Abreisetag sogar je eine kleine Lunch-Box, obwohl wir dort nur eine Nacht blieben.

Das Resort hat die beste Zeit lange hinter sich, fast alles wirkt abgenutzt, ungepflegt und reparaturbedürftig. Die Zimmertüren wirken wenig sicher, die Türen zum Balkon sind aus Vollholz ohne Glas, so dass bei geschlossenen Balkontüren das Zimmer dunkel ist, die Betten sind hart, die Dusche ohne Spritzschutz etc. Die Auflagen auf den Sonnenliegen abgenutzt, am Pool abgesplitterte Fliesen etc. Die Fotos suggerieren ein völlig falsches Bild der Anlage. Im Vergleich ist das Ressort bei weitem kein 4*-Haus!

The staff were extremely attentive, friendly, and always welcoming. We could watch monkeys directly from our balcony, which was a very unique and enjoyable experience. The hotel also offered its own tours, and we joined several of them. The team was very helpful throughout and did their best to assist us with everything. We went on a safari tour and also climbed Lion Rock and Pidurangala, all of which were well organized and memorable experiences. The staff helped us with our luggage, which we really appreciated.

There was no elevator, and since we were staying on the 4th floor, using the stairs was quite tiring. The hot water took a long time to heat up; however, once we informed the staff, they were helpful and tried to resolve the issue.

This hotel is exceptionally good value for money. Good generous breakfast, quiet rooms, lunch and dinner options. It leans into the jungle/rainforest cave vibe. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, as well as knowledgeable and helpful - eg tipped us to change one of our safaris to a different park to see more elephants due to the rain and flooding. We arrived early, straight off the plane and were welcomed and made comfortable. We spent two nights, doing Sigiriya at sunset, Pidurangula at sunrise, Dambulla cave temple and Hurulu eco parl safari, before heading on to Kandy. Great start to our holiday.

So one thing about the rainforest is that when it rains, it is very humid, which we found difficult so not so much something we didn’t like but more something to be aware of! We would come back for sure (but armed with a rain jacket)!

Siddu was amazing, welcomed us with a big smile and was very helpful and professional. Super service.

The location is very good and all the staff of veeeery kind and always willing to help or give advices. Food is delicious and they take care to not make it too spicy. Special kuddos to Asitha for the Pidruangala sunrise and the tour we did together ! Wish you all the team the best !

Un peu bruyant (travaux le matin des 8h et musique assez forte le soir surtout si vous avez une excursion lever du soleil le lendemain) Le resto n’est pas très bon mais pratique puisque l hôtel est excentre L hôtel est un peu excentré de la ville ce qui oblige à prendre un tuktuk pour chaque déplacement

Hidden charges and not the room we booked. Seems most effort is put into making the pool area look good and less in rooms and customer service.

The staff at the hotel were very attentive and made sure all of our needs were met. The breakfast was great and it was refreshing to have options for food. The real drip coffee was an added bonus. The pool is unheated but very clean. They have a happy hour from 6-7 with 2 for 1 cocktails.

Fantastic property with everything you need including a magic pool with bar to relax,good tunes as well to dance to!

Next to the cave temple; garden; swimmingpool; location and content breakfast; possibility to have dinner.

The owner should take care that the music at the swimmingpool and dinnerplace is not too loud (especially the deep base sound).

Excellent room And staff You don’t see much when you first walk in to the front desk. But all the excitement in the back. Great room and food, breakfast was awesome and breakfast is something you should definitely try it.

I always say that a country is remembered by its people. The people of Sri Lanka are very kind and hospitable. That’s why what I liked most about the hotel was the staff. If there was any problem, it was solved immediately. They never hesitated to help and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. Thank you!

The breakfast was ok, the staff was friendly.

A few issues we would lie to point out 1. There was no water pressure in the shower and sink in the first room we were given. 2. After pointing this out to the manager, we got a new room. 3. The restaurant service was very very slow. 4. For 80 Euros we expected a much better room and facilities. 5. The room was very small, with no real closets, the platic water bottles provided were not new and had been opened. 6. For some reason, the manager asked us to pay for the whole 3 days at check in (i.e. in advance). For these reasons I am not satisfied with the rating that was given on Booking and I expect a partial refund

La posizione è buona per visitare Sigirya e fare un safari per vedere gli elefanti.

Comportamento inaccettabile da parte della struttura. Abbiamo soggiornato 3 notti compresa la notte di capodanno. Appena arrivati al checkin ci hanno fatto pagare il party di capodanno per 35€ a persona. Durante la cena, pessima, ci hanno portato una bottiglia di vino. Al checkout hanno preteso 35,32 € per questa bottiglia. Nessuno ci aveva detto che le bevande non erano incluse. Quando qualcosa non è incluso nel prezzo, deve essere chiaramente detto e magari va firmata una ricevuta. Un furto il prezzo del vino. Consiglio di stare lontani da questo hotel.

Considerando gli standard locali, la struttura era pulita ed in ordine. Il personale estremamente gentile ed a disposizione per ogni necessità. Ottima la colazione e siamo finiti per cenare due sere in struttura vista l’accoglienza ed il bel ambiente

The employees. They were lovely and a lot of young hotel students. The employees make it work for Sundara.

We were given a family room on the ground floor, but the room had a strong moldy smell, and the bathroom floor became very wet after each shower, making it uncomfortable and unsafe. My 90-year-old father has limited mobility, and the property is not designed to accommodate guests with walking difficulties. As a result, he was confined to either the room or the breakfast area, which was very disappointing. After one night, we decided to cancel the second night. While the local management initially seemed understanding and willing to help, they later blamed their head office in Colombo and Booking.com. In the correspondence, we discovered that the local management advised the head office not to refund us and to deny the cancellation. This felt very untrustworthy and not customer-oriented, especially when the room quality was poor and accessibility needs were ignored. We will follow up again because this experience does not reflect good service or accountability.

Super staff! Very friendly and helpful, thank you for taking care of us, we loved you and the stay! The resort is also beautiful surrounded by a lot of nature, animals and has a calm vibe. Well done to all ♥️

Loud music until late night, dirty room, things not working in the room, shabby, bad breakfast. Overall, one of the worst hotels.

Le personnel est super accueillant et vous donnera les meilleurs tips pour prévoir vos activités dans le coin, la chambre et le lit vraiment confortable avec son balcon sur la jungle, le petit dej est au top, la piscine en journée ou le soir avec un cocktail. On a tout aimé et passé un super séjour à Dambulla !

Het restaurant. Het eten en de bediening waren voortreffelijk. Het menu met de rijst en curry is een absolute aanrader.

De kamer heeft achterstallig onderhoud, het bed was matig , maar ronduit hinderlijk was het lawaai van personeel dat al om 6.30 uur begon. Niet erg comfortabel voor een hotel.

The staff, especially Tito were incredibly nice and accommodating! I was so impressed by them. They were so kind and really went above and beyond.

The property itself needs a renovation it’s falling apart, the rooms are extremely old, not very clean, and the bathrooms need major updates. It feels like it used to be a great hotel but the staff can’t save how badly this place needs a makeover.

I have my birthday and the staff surprised me with a cake. Overall food, service and pool were great.

The bathroom did not open the windows so it was a bit moldy there

Everything was perfect, especially every person of the staff was very kind with us. Location is perfect for visiting the Dambulla cave temple. Dinner was and breakfast were excellent!

This property has really surprised me. The friendly staff the, thinking of every detail, always helpful and it’s a great value for money. You feel as in the middle of the jungle but you have a great location close to everything. The manager Siddu was so helpful and kind and made the short stay very special.

The staff is very nice. And they also served different kinds of food.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was excellent—from the clean and comfortable rooms to the friendly and helpful staff (siddu en tito). The atmosphere was relaxing, and all facilities worked perfectly. I would definitely recommend this place and would happily stay here again.

Located right next to the Cave Temples. Western style and equipped rooms. Staff were especially helpful. Siddu on reception helped me (flood related reshuffling of trip) get all of my things sorted and even looked after my friends bags (staying elsewhere) while we had lunch. I would absolutely be staying here again if I came back to Dambulla or Sigiriya.

Nothing, it is a great property. However, if you can’t do stairs let them know when you book as some of the rooms are a few flights up. Staff bring your bags up, so it’s just lugging yourself up there.
