Fabulous place owner was very helpful and friendly like I’ve known them for years

No complaints at all

Greeted by the owners on our arrival as they finished up getting things ready for our stay. A real home away from home, here. Very comfortable lounge and dining area with the heat pump to keep things cosy. The weather was not great and it was really good to have the house as a refuge! The kitchen was large and well equipped, we'd have made more use of it if we'd been staying longer than two nights. The breakfast provisions were good, cereal and toast is what we have in the mornings. The modern family bathroom had a great array of things in the drawers, I suspect anything you'd forgotten to bring for your personal care could be found in there. The location is good, quiet and handy to things, the latter as far as we are concerned anyway as we are not afraid to walk. Maybe 20 minutes on foot to Te Whare o Rehua (aka Sarjeant Gallery) in the city and the same, in the opposite direction, to Caroline's Boatshed for dinner one night. You see more when you walk!

No complaints, expectations either met or exceeded. The home features everything you might expect to find in a suburban dwelling, there is plenty of character and none of the blandness or uniformity of a motel.

Perfect location for the event we were attending Easy access to everything we needed. The house was gorgeous, great floor plan, very comfortable, toys were great for our toddler. Loved the little outdoor seating areas!!

As always a very pleasant experience

It was spacious and relaxed, with a variety of toys, books and magazines. Good sized dining table and enough comfortable sofas. Helpful owners allowing us to arrive at noon. Excellent main shower and heating in bathroom. We'll equipped kitchen. Lots of towels.

They need a new frying pan.

Amazing choice of food for breakfast. Lovely rooms, spacious lounge, 2 bathrooms, nice quiet location.

All I can think of is - no dish cloth! (We used an old tea towel to wipe the bench)

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. The owners were helpful and ready to assist in any way. The house is close to everything and easy to find. House is spacious, warm, and welcoming. Highly recommend staying here!

Only stayed for 2 days

We had 8 guests ranging in ages from 8-80 and Charmae had the comforts of home for every single one of us.

Lovely charming house for our group. We were participating in the masters tournament. Had everything we needed, close to the park and town. Hosts were great and had great communication. Hopefully we’ll get to stay again next tournament.

Fabulous premise with great hosts. This is quickly becoming my goto for stays in Whanganui

Charmae Guest House is an absolute gem. This is not someone's add-on or prefab built shack out the back. This is a beautiful home, built with craftsmanship, designed with thought and presented with love and pride. If you ever have the opportunity to stay here..do it!!! You will not be disappointed.

That I didn't have someone with me to share the experience with, I'm thinking to plan a trip with my kids next time, especially to relax in this gorgeous villa. Thanks so much!!

Great extras: fans in the rooms, toys for the kids.

Bathroom doors could be peeked into through gaps in the doors. The twin room advertised had been changed to a double and a single .. we bought single bed protectors so hard to protect the double from a wet bed when you have preschoolers.

We loved the property, the drive way is a bit narrow for a bigger truck - Ford Ranger

Was like a home away from home. Everything we needed, they had! Was cozy and warm and close to everything we needed and was there for!

Must say the camera’s were a little off putting. It looks like the driveway camera was facing towards the kitchen. I felt like I couldn’t comfortably walk around in my undies 😅

Flies in the house were a problem. Perhaps an automatic fly killer spray would help? We did our best to swat them but they were too fast

Location was great and everyone enjoyed a peaceful sleep, Hosts have been super helpful. Definitely recommend!
