Hotel is beside a very noisy street. Also there’s a nightclub just in front of the hotel. I could hear the bass all night long, I had to sleep with earplugs and still could listen to the music. Wish there was some kind of restaurant / room service. Everything else was just fine

Toilet too low and difficult to get up from, too few electrical outlets, water had to be run a long time before it got hot. Limited long hang space (had to share it with ironing board)! Property on slight incline which makes it difficult to walk out from for anyone with physical limitations. Chairs in lobby too low. Add one or two straight chairs would help enormously

Reviewed May 19, 2025The location of the hotel was excellent very close to all the key areas of historic center. The room while small was beautifully decorated with gorgeous bathroom. The front desk crew was very helpful with recommendations and directions.
For a hotel costing over $300/nite and not serving breakfast this was absurd . Additionally they charged for the nespresso pods in the room ( really?). There was very little space to store clothing .

From the convenient location just a block from the Jardín to the beautifully appointed rooms, this has to be one of our favorite stays in San Miguel. But it is the staff that can really make a place special and make their guests feel at home. This was certainly the case at the Maria Camille! Thank-you for a beautiful stay.

Reviewed Apr 15, 2025Friendly staff. a boutique hotel with around a dozen rooms. I didn't see any other patrons during my stay which was kind of nice. Bathroom was very nice. Nice rooftop view that was unused and very accessible.
The tv was essentially useless as there were no channels and it was not unable to connect to my phone via a cast in that particular room. Paid extra for the city view which was nice except you couldn't put more than one foot into the small balcony.

It was impeccably clean, beautifully designed, and perfectly located in the heart of San Miguel—everything was just a short walk away. The staff was exceptionally kind and attentive. It’s easily the best boutique hotel I’ve stayed at in San Miguel. I was surprised to see it listed as a 2.5-star on Expedia, especially considering the glowing reviews and 5-star ratings on both Expedia and other platforms. Hopefully, that gets updated soon—this place absolutely deserves more visibility.

We loved the hotel and will definitely come back and stay again. There are great cafes and restaurants all around. Javier and Christian at the front desk were so helpful and made our stay even more special. They recommended the best tour guide and great places to eat. Thank you!

Reviewed Mar 28, 2025Great Location. Its right on one of the main streets of SMA. Lots of great shops, restaurants and cafe's nearby. Staff were very accommodating to. They in fact scheduled a Tequila Tasting for us in one of their bars. Hotel is also fairly new.
Being on the main street can also have some disadvantages as cars and motorcycles pass by often and It can be a bit noisy at times

We were in room #1. There is a nightclub directly across the narrow street from the hotel lobby with a DJ that played tremendously loud music from 10p-3a. Apparently, this only happens on Fri/Sat nights. Although we were given ear plugs, they provided little relief. The night receptionist offered to have us moved to another room the following day (Sat), as the hotel was full that night. We were quickly accommodated in another room the following morning and were not disturbed at all by the music. This should not be taken as negative of the hotel as it was out of their control, and in fact they resolved the problem for us the following day. Our advice is to avoid room #1 if your plans include a Fri/Sat stay.
