Burgos Barrio Naxos

The location of this property was great, as it was right in the main town and only a 10 minute walk away from lots of good restaurants and shops. The price was also quite affordable for the time we were there. The TV was a smart TV which was nice and meant we could access YouTube and other apps. The patio area was quite nice and peaceful.

The property smelt quite bad, like damp or black mould. Specifically the bathroom smelt very strong like mould and sewage. It was quite off putting and made showering or leaving anything in the bathroom feel unclean. In the night the door to the bathroom gad drifted open in the night and the smell was so bad it woke me up. The smell problem was made worse due to the fact the property was very small. This made it quite unpractical for even two people to be in and get ready, for example the only place we could place our suitcase blocked the fridge from being opened properly and also presented us from walking around the end to access the other side of the room. There were not enough hooks or storage so that we could comfortably unpack. We never met the hosts, on arrival we had to ring a number and on the second try we got through and were told to go to our flat and the key would be in the door. Finally the pots and pans were dirty and smelt bad which made us uncomfortable using them.

Ideal location easy walk from port through the old town. Quirky charming property oozing character. Our room was small but airy with private balcony over quiet street. Tiny cute kitchen leading to wet room. Plenty of communal terraces and seating areas on different levels and in street below. friendly relaxed vibe. We only stayed a night to get a ferry to Amorgos so it was great to be in the heart of the old town with an abundance of cafes, tavernas and shops to explore in the charming alleyways. Recommend Metaxi Mas for Mezze a short walk away.

We had a lovely stay! Katerina was really nice and always quick to respond. She was very helpful and even gave us a little gift, which was such a sweet touch. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!

The owner is so kind, she made us feel very welcome when checking in. It’s in a great location, 5 minute walk to the port, to many restaurants & the Temple of Apollo. Also a car park is nearby if you hire a car or quad bike. You have to try the bakery that’s a 1 minute walk away. The best bread ever!! They also have water mountains to fill up your water bottle.

The room was very small, but tastefully decorated and charming. It had a tiny balcony with a beautiful tree right next to it, and from the balcony we could see cats gathering in the little square below. The bathroom was also very small but nicely designed. The shower is not separated from the rest of the bathroom, so after showering the whole bathroom floor gets wet. We had a lovely view over the town and the sea. Getting to the hotel through the narrow streets of the old town of Naxos is an experience in itself – the area is very picturesque and atmospheric. Overall, it is a lovely little room and a great choice for a short stay. For a longer stay, however, it would be a bit too small, especially if you have two suitcases, as there is very little space to store them.

Fantastic location at the top of the hill in Naxos chora. A very cool spot at the base of the Venetian castle. Is it luxury...no. is it a great value for the money...100% yes. Note: it's the Chora. You can't drive to the location. You are walking a couple hundred meters up hill so if you have a ton of luggage or are just a wuss than be prepared Katarina is an incredible host and the entire staff do a lovely job on cleaning. It's an old building but they do a really great job with it. So, walls are a bit thin. Again, its not luxury but i found my room to be more than an ample size with a comfo bed (according to European standards where everything is super firm). Honestly, for where ur at and exploring Naxos and the Chora itself, you really can't get a better value for the money

La location stessa impone di fare molto scale per raggiungerla e questo può essere un fattore negativo. Camera un po’ piccola ma per un paio di notti può andare bene.

Personnel très gentil.

El alojamiento está en el centro de Naxos, muy cerca del puerto y del templo de Apolo. Estaba muy limpio, nuevo y era súper cómodo, además mi habitación tenía vistas al mar que es un plus. La persona responsable del establecimiento es encantadora y te ayuda en todo lo que necesitas. Recomendable escoger este alojamiento para visitar Naxos.

原本房間因為浴室漏電所以換到旁邊的飯店，不過換到地下室，感覺有點鼻塞，浴室很小，沒有乾濕分離，要搬行李爬一段樓梯

The stuff was great and made sure the room was taken care of on a daily basis. Very accommodating communication as well. The room is placed very close to the port and any necessary amenities. The size of the room is not big, but it is has everything you need for a practical stay.

The only setback is the fact that the location pf the apartment does bot make it reachable by car or if you are not able to climb a few sets of stairs, especially with heavy luggage, as it is within the historical part of the city.

Location up near Kastro, quiet although wouldn’t recommend the walk up if you have big or heavy luggage. Comfy beds. Friendly welcome, clean & good room facilities

La camera puzzava di umidità e di muffa, ti trovavi gatti dentro la stanza appena lasciavi una finestra (grande handicap senza zanzariere) o una porta aperta.

A 6. "Szobát" kaptam, ami a földfelszín alatti dohos helység. Belépéskor már érezni lehetett, hogy a helység vízszigetelése nem jó, dohos. A szomszédos szobákkal vékonyak a falak, áthallani. Az ágynál a tapétán kisebb penészfoltok is voltak. Egyetlen pici ablak volt a fal tetején, mely az utcai lépcsőkre nyílt.

The friendliest and kindest staff I have ever experienced! They were so nice! Internet around Chora is definitely difficult to come by so try to save the map they provide in the beginning on how to get there from the port. Overall great location in old town, very homey feel, room was comfortable and very good value for money!

La posizione gioca un punto favorevole, molto vicina al porto e al centro, circa 5 minuti di cammino (con scale). La camera era fornita di tutti i comfort, aveva un cucinino ad induzione, stoviglie, posate e piatti. Condizionatore funzionante. La camera pulita tutti i giorni con cambio asciugamani e lenzuola ogni due giorni.

Le uniche due note negative sono state la scarsa o quasi del tutto assente connessione WiFi e, almeno per la camera che ci è capitata, la doccia aveva il finestrino che affacciava direttamente in strada e si vedeva tutto.

The host was so lovely nothing was too much and she was around all the time to ask any questions. The r9om was different to anything we have stayed in before but it was so lovely clean and cool.

Only tiny niggle was that the WIFI doesn't reach the head of the bed but the foot of the bed and rest of the room no issues.

The accommodation was very cleaned and well designed! Very old fashionable historic place and building!

It was a bit moldy as we were smelling the mold!

Ours was a last minute booking having missed our ferry. The owner kept in contact throughout. We stayed in a beautiful room which was equipped with everything we needed for our 1 night stay

There are quite a few steps to walk up, but don’t let that put you off, it’s worth the effort.

So well located in such a charming and historic location, could not have been more perfectly located for those coming to Naxos for the culture and history. The team were so lovely, welcoming, and the interior of room and bathroom is gorgeous. Check in and check out was made easy due to their kind hospitality.

The room was clean, well-appointed, and very well located (close to the typical streets of Naxos). Katerina was very charming and welcoming; we highly recommend Burgos Barrio!

The location of this accomodation is perfect - it’s close to everything you could want in town and a three min walk from a local grocery store and traditional bakery, 5 min walk from the port and main bus stop. The room was simple but clean, and Katerina has thought of everything you could need, including cutlery, tea towels etc. Katerina herself is a lovely host and I am confident I could have asked for help with most things.

The location and communication with the host were great. The room was clean, well equipped, tasteful, and true to the pictures provided.

Our specific room (room 5) had a window directly on the street level. The soundproofing is not great meaning that we could hear every conversation and steps down the road. That window was also the only one in the room, so light and privacy could not be combined, leading to the room feeling a bit claustrophobic.

I love the fact that they preserved the traditional Cycladic architecture and decor in the space, which I found very charming. The room was on the smaller size, so I would recommend it for a couple or a single traveler. The owner was very kind and was quick to respond to my queries. She was also forthright about the need to climb stairs to access the property, which was appreciated.

It is really hard to move any bags luggages and stuff to the room. Gladly the host was extremely helpful but remember it is not included. Up hill stairs to make it to the room

An absolute darling gem! I stayed in room 10 with a little balcony to sit on having coffee gazing at the sea with lovely shady trees..Maria is SUCH a hostess xxx the most perfect location at the end of old market street and up a few steps on a path that climbs for 2 minutes..I LOVED my stay xxx gorgeous bed and bed linen, terrific shower and kitchen which I only used to make coffee..don't hesitate for a moment! BOOK!

Ηταν όλα πολύ καθαρά και προσεγμένα!Το διαμέρισμα πολύ γραφικό,σε υπέροχη τοποθεσία,μόλις 10 λεπτά με τα πόδια από το λιμάνι αλλά και από το κέντρο της Χώρας.

Struttura bellissima e nel cuore della Chora. A pochi passi dal porto di Naxos. Camera bella e pulita, bagno grande e con doccia spaziosa. La proprietaria Katerina è super disponibile, ci ha concesso di accedere alla camera prima dell orario prestabilito ed è sempre stata pronta a soddisfare tutte le nostre esigenze. Consigliata.

La posizione della struttura è nel pieno della Chora e ci sono molte scale per raggiungerla, quindi potrebbe essere leggermente scomoda per persone di età avanzata.

Fantastic room to end my stay in Naxos, I would say definitely too small for more than 1 person but ideal if you are solo and are looking for something nicer but still within budget. A very lovely area.

El alojamiento es como en las fotos, tiene Frigo bar (muy importante para el calor griego). Alquilamos auto y hay un parking público muy cerquita del hotel. La anfitriona fue muy amable.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable.

Katerina was really nice on arrival and offered to upgrade us to a bigger room for 3/4 nights because we had a baby. On the 3rd day she was very forceful in making it clear this was for THE BABY and not us. This was appreciated none the less. The room we were in for the 4th night was great size wise but wouldn’t have worked for the entire stay as the door was glass so lacked privacy. It was also along a corridor so was noisy. I was just getting ready to write an appreciative review when Katerina rang me and rudely demanded on the phone that I give her and her property a 10. Even using the cleaners phone to contact me via another route. This lack of professionalism shows what I was picking up on all along and why she made me feel so uneasy when she kept shouting FOR THE BABY. Now our time in naxos has a sour ending.

Όλα ήταν υπέροχα και άψογα! Πρώτη φορά στο νησί και το αγαπήσαμε η κυρία Κατερίνα ήταν πολύ γλυκιά οικοδέσποινα και μας βοήθησε στα πάντα το δωμάτιο ήταν πολύ λειτουργικό και πολύ μοντέρνο θα το προτιμήσουμε σίγουρα την επόμενη φορά που θα ξανά έρθουμε!! Επίσης κατά την αποχώρησή μου η κυρία Κατερίνα μου έδωσε και ένα μικρό δωράκι για ενθύμιο! ευχαριστούμε πολύ για όλα!!!

Me mandaron a otra estructura a 20m donde la puerta de la habitación daba prácticamente a la calle. Se oía todo, me sentí insegura. Me encontré por la noche un bicho negro y por la mañana una cucaracha negra en el baño muerta y otro bicho negro. Luego por la mañana en la calle ves miles. La puerta es antigua y creo que se cuelan por alguno de los huevos que hay. Se escucha todo así que apenas dormí Para llegar tienes que caminar por calles cuesta arriba laberíntica, así que si llevas equipaje pesado, no es cómodo

The room blew our minds. so charming and spotless clean. the location was amazing with a beautiful view from the rooftop terrace. the staff was wonderful and our room was ready early which worked out great for our timing.

C’est une superbe petite pension très bien entretenue, très bien décorée, très bien située. Nous avons beaucoup aimé la possibilité de faire des courants d’air pour dormir au frais et comme la mer est proche on entend même le bruit des vagues :). Nous avons adoré le charme de l’endroit, la facilité des échanges par messagerie. Et surtout un accueil très chaleureux par les deux femmes qui tiennent les lieux. Merci !

S’il fallait faire un commentaire « négatif » c’est que le lit n’est pas très confortable mais ça va très bien :) !

Αυτό που μου άρεσε ήταν ότι βρισκόταν σε πολύ καλή τοποθεσία ήσουν κοντά σε όλα σε λίγα λεπτά το δωμάτιο ήταν άνετο και καθαρό διέθετε τα πάντα,το προσωπικό ήταν πολύ φιλικό απέναντι μας και πολύ εξυπηρετική

Το μόνο αρνητικό που είχε ήταν ότι η τοποθεσία του καταλύματος ήταν ανηφορική και μέσα στα στενά που δυσκολεύει κάποιον μεγάλης ηλικίας ιδίως αν κουβαλάει πολλές αποσκευές μαζί του

My stay at Burgos Barrio was exceptional, the room was spacious and well equipped, and it was very clean. Located right in the heart of Chora, it is only a 10min walk to the port of Naxos and near many tavernas and wonderful little shops. It was very quiet in the night. The staff were all very hospitable and kind. My host, Katerina, made me feel right at home and I was treated like family from my arrival. I felt very safe and comfortable especially as a solo traveller. There is also a wonderful rooftop and balcony where you can enjoy views of the Portara and ocean, including stunning sunsets. I would highly recommend staying here for your next trip to Naxos!

Todo estaba perfecto, la habitación es grande, acogedora, con un balcón bonito y una pequeña cocina en un anexo camino al cuarto de baño. Todo estuvo genial y a buen precio.

The location is great in the old center. If you have a heavy suitcase be prepared for a little workout carrying it up some stairs. The room was nice, clean and there was space to open up a suitcase on the floor. It had pans for cooking, a good iron and a small ironing board as well.

The host was very kind, hospitable and helpful. The room was cozy, nicely decorated, clean and fully equipped. The bed mattress was extremely comfy and the location was ideal. It exceeded our expectations and we would definitely come again.

Wir haben während unseres Aufenthaltes keine/n einzige/n Mitarbeiter/in angetroffen. Der Check-in erfolgte übers Telefon, wobei wir gefragt wurden, ob wir die Gäste sind, die nur für eine Nacht bleiben, und dann wurde uns der Weg zu unserem Zimmer beschrieben. Dort angekommen war die Enttäuschung ziemlich groß. Gebucht hatten wir ein Doppel-/Zweibettzimmer wobei uns die Bilder beim buchen sehr überzeugt hatten. Vorgefunden haben wir ein Zimmer in der Größe einer Schuhschachtel. Im Badezimmer konnte man sich kaum umdrehen, unsere Koffer konnten wir nur auf dem Bett oder auf der Veranda vor der Zimmertür öffnen, da im Zimmer kein Platz dafür war. Es war außerdem sehr hellhörig. Das Doppelzimmer war für eine Person ausgestattet (1 Set Handtücher, 1 Tasse, 1 Besteck, ...) Positiv: es war sauber. Guter Wasserdruck beim Duschen. Leider keine bessere Bewertung, da es bei weitem nicht unsere Erwartungen erfüllt hat. Wir sind Stammgäste auf der Insel, dieses Hotel hat uns aber leider nicht überzeugt und werden wir daher vermutlich nicht nochmal buchen.

Location was fun. Right in the middle of the chaos of small streets. The rooms vary a lot. All 3 of ours had mini kitchens and fridges but they all varied a lot. My friend had an awesome little patio. Mine was more simple.

The shower was just a handheld showerhead not mounted. The suite we had was very cute but the shower was incorporated into the bathroom so our daughters came to our room to shower. The wifi was so weak in my room and the regular service did not reach there so I kept missing texts from my group

The property is in old town up near the castle so great walk through the winding markets to get down to the waterfront. Our host provided a walking map to find hotel before we arrived. Great spot couldn’t have wanted better.

Nous avons apprécié la situation géographique, la vue depuis le toit terrasse, et l'espace partagé. Notre salle de bain était très agréable, spacieuse. La chambre était très bien équipée (bouilloire, tasse, couverts, réfrigérateur etc) et très propre.

Notre chambre avait 2 petites lucarnes qui donnaient et qui étaient au niveau des pavés de la ruelle, qu'il fallait laisser ouvertes pour éviter les odeurs d'humidité de la chambre. La porte d'entrée de la chambre était vitrée pour laisser passer la lumière de la cour, mais aucun rideau n'est prévu pour assombrir la pièce la nuit. Mais pour 1 nuit, c'est très correct.
