We spent here unfortunately only one day, but we really liked it. The room was clean and very nicely prepared. The petals on the bed were very nice and the sri landian breakfast was delicious. It is a beautiful peaceful place where you wake up in the morning to the sounds of the jungle. Highly recommend.

The bathroom could use a little improvement and cosiness.

Wir hatten einen großartigen Aufenthalt im Jungle View Mirissa Hotel! Es war wirklich alles top. Besonders begeistert hat uns das fantastische Frühstück – sehr lecker und mit viel Auswahl. Wir wurden direkt bei unserer Ankunft mit einem erfrischenden Willkommensdrink begrüßt, was uns sofort ein gutes Gefühl gegeben hat. Außerdem gab es kostenloses Wasser auf dem Zimmer, was wir sehr aufmerksam fanden. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und gepflegt, und man hat sich rundum wohlgefühlt. Der Service war ebenfalls hervorragend. Wir würden das Hotel jederzeit weiterempfehlen und kommen gerne wieder! 🌴✨

Super liebe und unglaublich fleißige Gastgeberfamilie mit sehr leckerem lokalen Essen und riesigen Portionen. Das Tuktuk steht für Ausflüge aller Art bereit und mir wurde bei all meinen Vorhaben sehr geholfen. Um die Unterkunft herum kann man vom Balkon aus zudem sehr viele Tiere beobachten, darunter Pfauen, Eisvögel, Streifenhörnchen oder Flughunde. Die Ausstattung war einwandfrei und auch das Bett war sehr sehr bequem. Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Volle Empfehlung!

Die Umgebung der Unterkunft ist etwas rauer, aber alles im Rahmen - mit dem Tuktuk kommt man schnell von a nach b.

Остановились в этой вилле на 10 дней. Нас заселили на первом этаже. В комнате было все необходимое + выход на собственную террасу с гамаком, столиком и стульями. Сама вилла находится на одной территории с домом хозяина. Но не скажу, что это плохо. Наоборот: на террасе есть меню, где вы можете заказать еду и напитки в несколько раз дешевле, чем во всех кафе и ресторанах в Мириссе. Еду принесут к назначенному времени (кстати, очень вкусную). Сам хозяин может вас подвезти в любую точку на тук туке прямо от виллы (к самой вилле другие тук туки часто не подъезжают). Хозяин и его семья были очень милыми, приветливыми и дружелюбными. Под конец нашей поездки было ощущение того, что мы жили у друзей или семьи, и нам было тоскливо покидать это место(

Es war kein warmes Wasser vorhanden.

Cette famille est vraiment d'une gentillesse incroyable, et fait tout pour qu'on se sente bien. La nourriture était excellente, je vous recommande de manger vos repas sur place. Et le propriétaire a un tuk tuk, vous pouvez donc voir avec lui pour vos déplacements. L'emplacement est au fond d'une ruelle, donc au calme, à l'écart de la foule, ce qui est fortement appréciable.

Ich war zuerst etwas skeptisch, da die Unterkunft nicht ganz so viele Bewertungen hat. Meine Erwartungen wurden aber alle erfüllt. Der Besitzer ist extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich habe leider eine allergische Reaktion auf eine Sonnencreme aus Sri Lanka gehabt und er hat mich dann zum naheliegenden Krankenhaus gefahren und ist während der Behandlung vor Ort geblieben um mich danach wieder zurück zu fahren. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls sehr lecker, die Portionen riesig und ich konnte mir auch jedes Mal aussuchen was ich haben möchte. Das Zimmer ist groß, bietet aber keine Abstellmöglichkeiten. Er möchte sich aber nun um einen kleinen Tisch kümmern. Die Terasse ist ebenfalls sehr angenehm und man sieht viele Tiere (Eichhörnchen, etc.). Wenn man den Ventilator voll aufdreht dann geht es auch von der Temperatur im Zimmer. Das WLAN hier funktioniert perfekt. WhatsApp Video Anrufe, Serien schauen, alles möglich. In meinen anderen Unterkünften in Sri Lanka war das bislang nicht möglich. Der Coconut Tree Hill, der Parrot Rock und der Strand sind nur etwa 10-15 min zu Fuß entfernt. Eine Menge Restaurants und kleine Supermärkte sind ebenfalls in der Nähe. Bett war bequem und sauber, wie auch generell die Unterkunft. Ich würde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und kann die Unterkunft nur empfehlen.

The location was perfect! Very quiet but not far away from the beach, the city center, restaurants etc.

Absolutely nothing to complain about!

The property is beautiful and the family very sweet! I got a food poisoning(NOT from the families food!!) but the Family took very sweet care of me giving me some medicine asking how I am and helping me to recover in Notime!! They were so caring like a „Sick child“ needs! The food excellent (definitely worth the price) all freshly cooked with lots of love! I could even eat 2 times out of the portions as it was soo much! Also as they realized I like turtles quite a bit, the called me and send me pictures when a Turtle arrived in the Garden! I enjoyed that it is outside of the busy area a bit uphill in the local area. Yes you need to walk a little or take the bus to get to Mirissa Center but that’s exactly what I liked.

It’s a very nice place, the owners are super nice and attentive, and their food is delicious. You’ll get your own little apartment with a little terrace in the back, which is super cosy.

Big spacious room - huge bed with comfy mattress.. you get your own private balcony/garden area. Dinner was very good too :-) few minutes walk to Main Street

Our hosts were welcoming and did everything to make our stay special.The apartment is lovely, a very comfortable bed and plenty of space. The bathroom was clean and well equiped and the terrace is wonderful, on the edge of the jungle with lots of bird call. We are really happy with the evening meal as well as the breakfast, which we shared one breakfast for 2. Delicious home cooking.Id happily go back!

Where to start. Initially arriving it wasn’t hard to find the location of the hotel just off the main road, ideal for a mix of quiet and convenient. The family who own the hotel were incredibly welcoming. Additionally the room itself was very clean and comfortable with a lovely back garden and hammock. The family also went out of their way to help, the owner changed my tyre which burst, brought me tea and made a brilliant breakfast. On top of this the owner also gave me a lift to Galle. I would highly recommend this hotel it’s brilliant and the family are wonderful.

Relaxing atmosphere. Host went out of his way to get us the dinner we wanted out of fresh seafood and was very helpful. Room was big and clean. Perfect for a couple!

We honestly loved our stay at Mirissa Jungle View. The family who runs the place is just so sweet and took such good care of us—we felt so welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was spacious, really clean, and super affordable, which made it perfect for us. One of our favorite things was sitting out on our little terrace, just soaking in the peaceful jungle vibes and listening to the sounds of nature. It felt like such a relaxing escape. It is a bit further out, but that wasn’t a problem at all. The owners had a scooter sorted for us in under 15 minutes, which made getting around super easy. They also cooked for us and greeted us with a delicious juice when we arrived—such a nice touch! We did mention that the ceiling fan was a bit noisy, and they went above and beyond by immediately getting a standing fan for us. That kind of kindness and effort doesn’t go unnoticed, and we were so grateful for it. If you’re looking for a quiet, budget-friendly spot in Mirissa with genuinely lovely hosts, we can’t recommend Mirissa Jungle View enough. It’s a great little family-run business, and they deserve the support!

Clean, spacious apartment with comfortable bed in quiet neighbourhood 🫶 highly reccomend

We were looking for a quiet stay with local flair, and this was the perfect choice. Indika and his family were incredibly friendly and accommodating hosts. He arranged a scooter, a whale-watching tour, and transport to Tangalle for us, all at very fair prices—much better than those in town. The room was spacious, with a super comfortable bed and a large mosquito net, ensuring a good night’s sleep. Both the room and bathroom were very clean. The cozy terrace, surrounded by banana and palm trees, was a wonderful spot to relax in the evening. The water pressure was good, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. The location is slightly off the main road but convenient, with several food spots nearby. Cargills supermarket is a 5-minute drive, Secret Beach is 15 minutes, and Mirissa Beach is just 5 minutes by scooter—or you can walk to many main spots. You can also enjoy breakfast and dinner cooked by the family, and the prices are very reasonable. Indika’s wife is an amazing cook—her curries were fantastic, and the breakfasts were both delicious and generous (her coconut-filled crepes are a must-try!). Highly recommended!

I just wanted to share a few friendly suggestions that might make future stays even more comfortable. The ceiling fan makes a bit of noise when set to the highest level (which is often needed due to the warm and humid weather), and it could be a bit more powerful. Adding a standing fan could be a great solution. Since the room is very spacious, a set of shelves or a chest of drawers would also be a helpful addition for storing clothes, cosmetics, and other belongings.

Very nice place, feels like home, the family is super nice and I would highly recommend eating there, the food is sooo good and tasty! Very clean and confortable. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for something different than a hotel and feel closer to Srilankian people.

We had a great stay here! Indika greeted us with a tasty papaya juice and made sure we had everything we needed. He arranged surfing lessons, a scooter and he gave us a ride to the bus stop. The room is spacious and clean, and there is a small garden where you can relax. The house is close to the main road, but far enough so that you never hear traffic. And all of this for a good price!

One of the best accommodation I’ve stayed in Sri Lanka. I have stayed for 6 nights with the best part being walking distance to coconut tree hill and beach yet having peace and quiet time during the stay. The owner Prabath and his family are so hospitable and the food they provide is amazing. A must try. Everyday he checks on you to assist or provide information where it is needed. The WiFi is great too. Overall I had such a fantastic time at the stay and with the family that I will spend some time the next time I’m here. Stuti

A nice villa room with a good service and friendly owners... Local food was provided and tea also... It is safe, clean and quite and near to coconut tree hills beach.

The owner was super helpful. He has cute kids and a clean comfortable stay. The food he gave was very good as well. The location is a bit inside the residential area. He came and picked us up from the bus stop in tuktuk and didnt even ask for money. But we were able to walk to the main locations in mirissa (coconut tree hill, turtle beach, parrot rock) He has a great chilling area within the stay with a hammock. I had a nice nap on the hammock. He also helped us with the whale safari and gave us better rates than what we found before.

I am so happy I decided to book a little away from the beach, this place is exactly what I needed. It’s so peaceful, just the sounds of birds & it’s only a 5 minute walk to the beach. I caught the bus from Ahangama & was greeted at the bus stop by Indika & his tuk tuk. I was taken to the accommodation & it exceeded my expectations the room & attached bathroom was so much bigger then in the photos. The back doors opened out to a private patio with a table and chairs & a hammock with a view of the jungle & trees. I was welcomed by Indikas beautiful family with a banana smoothie & I was offered dinner which was rice and curry, it was the best I’ve had in Sri Lanka so far. Indika & his beautiful family made me feel so looked after, safe and welcomed. I originally planned to stay just one night but ended up extending it to 3 days. I will stay here again. Thank you so much for having me! :)
