The hotel is in a good location close to the railway station and within reasonable walking distance of the seafront and Old Town. Rereading some of the reviews before we arrived concerned us, but we needn't have worried; our room on the 4th floor (accessed by a small but perfectly adequate and functional lift) was just fine. It was clean and comfortable with a balcony that was perfect for drying our washed socks and undies.

We weren't told about the breakfast so assumed there wasn't one.

The location, very close to train station and supermarket. Walkable to the old town. Confortable beds and good shower. Nice shower gel. Good towels. The room is not to big but is fine. Small lift but there is one which is what matters. We gor there early and we were allowed to check in. Very kind.

Very close to the shopping centre and high street area, room was clean and service daily is optional. Staff were neutral and the door was always manned.

The room was really small, tiny bathroom with a sliding door that has a big gap to see the person laying on the bed. Bed was small and not the comfiest pillows. No tea coffee or water provided, no ironing board and hair dryer stops working after two minutes and needs a recharge. draining problem also made bathroom smell when we arrived back from days out. We thought the location was close to the beach but it was quite a long walk for us and not as easy as we hoped. Also covered in huge bites however looking around this seems to be a big issue for visitors of nice so maybe the hotel needs to invest in some sort of mosquito killing equipment.

Fabulous location. Family room was massive with a great shower. Small lot of stairs at entry then elevator up to rooms. Well worth it.

A szállas nagyjából rendben volt, a szoba eleg kicsi volt, a bőrönd alig fért el, a reggelinél pedig meglepődtünk, sajt, lekvár, nagyjából ennyi volt a valaszték illetve tojás, amit megfőzhettünk magunknak.

Chambre correcte pour 2, lits confortables, bonne salle de bains. Hôtel très bien placé, à 5 min de la gare, de Monoprix et de restos, et à une vingtaine de minutes de la plage. Personnel agréable.

Des prises des 2 côtés du lit mais l'une d'elles n'étaient pas de type européenne (pas pratique). La vue à la fenêtre sur l'arrière d'un bâtiment..

Location is good. In the city centre.

Absolutely uncomfortable place. Extremely small rooms, unpleasant stuff. The biggest mistake was staying here with child, no conditions for boogie, stairs, too small elevator and stuff who never helps. Bad experience unfortunately. Won’t recommend.

Het voordeel van dit hotel is z'n ligging, nml. heel dicht bij het station en gelukkig heeft de stad Nice veel te bieden en zijn er genoeg adresjes waar je heerlijk kan ontbijten, dineren, ...

Zéér matig hotel en de prijs niet waard. Op foto ziet alles er veel ruimer en nieuwer uit, maar in werkelijkheid is de kamer klein en behoorlijk afgeleefd. Eigenlijk was dit enkel een ruimte om een éénpersoonsbed te plaatsen, nu stond het tweepersoonsbed behoorlijk onhandig gepositioneerd. Ook de badkamer was klein en al helemaal niet praktisch. De muren zijn er flinterdun, je hoort de buren douchen en zelfs lawaai van 2 kamers verder, ... Toen we aankwamen was de kamertemperatuur warm en werkte de airco niet. De afstandsbediening die er lag was die van een airco elders, gelukkig heeft de persoon van de balie alsnog de airco kunnen activeren door ons van de juiste afstandsbediening te voorzien. En dan was er nog het internet, dat was tergend traag. Desondanks alles was dit hotel volgeboekt.

Situato a pochi isolati dalla stazione e, quindi, facilmente raggiungibile e comodo per la partenza. Struttura esternamente un pò datata ma l'interno è sicuramente migliore. Buona la colazione e staff cordiale che parlava anche l'italiano

A személyzet kedves, segítőkész. A recepción vasalót is lehet kérni, valamint normális hajszárítót. A hotel elhelyezkedése kiváló a vonattal történő kirándulásokhoz, egy utcányira van a vasútállomás. Kijelentkezés után van lehetőség csomagmegőrzésre.

A kétágyas szoba nagyon kicsi. Az épület régi, szellőzése nem jó, így a folyosókon, szobákban is érezni az ódon szagot. A szobához közel van a lift, ami nagyon hangos, ez éjjel zavaró. A szoba belső udvarra nézett, ablakot nem tudtunk nyitni, mert csak a forróság és a bűz jött be, friss levegő nem. A légkondi közvetlenül az ágy mellett van, nem lehet úgy beállítani, hogy ne rád fújja a levegőt. A hajszárító kb 2 percig bírja, aztán leáll. A reggeli szegényes, mindennap ugyanaz. Felvágott, kolbász és zöldség nincs. Tojást tudsz főzni, de másféle nincs. A közelben viszont vannak reggeliző helyek, bolt, több étterem és az étkezőben van a vendégek számára fenntartott nagy hűtő.

The price is too high for the quality of the hotel. There’s weird smells, WiFi hardly works, room telephone doesn’t work. Had to ask for the cleaners to vacuum because I felt things I couldn’t see walking on me.

The room was nice and clean and updated. They even had beach umbrellas we could borrow for the day.

We did not like the reception staff who was rarely at the desk. We were not told that there was a breakfast room nor that there was a refrigerator and a freezer for customers to use until our last day there. That would’ve been nice for my medication. The last day we asked if somebody would be at reception at four in the morning as we had an early flight. We were told that there would be, but when we got down there, there was some man asleep on the couch who did not hear our loud noises or voices and was passed out asleep snoring. Our Uber showed up and we could not get out the front door as it was locked. Fortunately, we found a side door we were able to get out so we did not miss our flight. Customer service at the reception desk was terrible and very unprofessional.

Air con leaked water at times.

The only positive thing was that they allowed us to check in very early.

The location is only convenient if you plan to travel by train to other cities; otherwise, it is a long walk to the heart of Nice. Out of our 7-night stay, we only managed to sleep well for one night. The mattress was covered with a plastic protector inside, which trapped heat and made us sweat constantly, making it feel extremely uncomfortable. Additionally, the old air conditioning unit was very loud and eventually broke down, leaking water. This was quite stressful and forced us to pack up and move to another room, which wasted our valuable time. The issues continued until the very end. Since we had a very early flight, we asked the receptionist to book a taxi for us. We were assured twice that it would be a fixed price of €40. However, upon arrival at the airport, the driver demanded €50. When I reported this to the hotel, they quickly dismissed it, stating it was not their concern because they are not a taxi company. They were the ones who made the reservation and provided us with incorrect information, so they should take some responsibility. This whole situation leaves us with a strong feeling that we were simply scammed through some sort of internal scheme between the hotel and the driver.

Amazing value for money! We loved all about the hotel: the location -amazing-, close to the Nice Train station, the beach and rue Jean Medecin -nice street for walking and shopping with good restaurants and coffee shops. The staff were friendly and welcoming and they were also helpful whenever needed. The hotel and the room was clean always. The water pressure in the shower was very good. Bathroom space was ok. The bed and the pillow were comfortable for a good night sleep. There are a few stairs that lead to the elevator. The elevator/lift is ok in terms of space and speed (3 people with 2 big pieces of luggage and 2 carry ons). Around 10.30-11.00am, the one available elevater gets so busy -checkout time-. It’s close to the Beau Rivage beach (public + private club), 15 min walk from Place Massena. One of Nice nicest spots for swimming. Remember that the beach in Nice is a pebbles beach, your sea shoes will help a lot.

We didn’t try the breakfast so we cannot judge. A tea/coffee station in the room would have been highly appreciated.

Die Lage war zentral am Bahnhof gelegen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und man konnte das Gepäck sowohl am An- als auch Abreisetag aufbewahren lassen.

Alapvetően annyi dolog volt benne, ami elegendő egy pár napos pihenéshez. Kényelmes volt az ágy. Mindennap jött takarítónő. Viszonylag jó helyen helyezkedik el. Kompakt.

Az első belépésnél dohányszag fogadott minket a szobában, illetve a teljesalakos tükör teljesen koszos volt. A klíma csöpögött a hét során többször is és ez azért volt kellemetlen, mert pont az ágy felett helyezkedett el. A zuhanyzóból sokszor áradt fel büdös. Minden éjszaka iszonyatos dübörgés hallatszódott a felső emeletekről, mintha ránk akarna szakadni a plafon. A reggeli többnyire édes péksüteményekből állt, ez lehetne kicsit változatosabb, mert sajnos elég egyhangúnak érződik az ár ellenében, amit elkérnek érte.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, making it incredibly easy to explore everything Nice has to offer. I was travelling solo for my birthday and found it to be the perfect base for my trip, with great transport links to places like Èze, Monaco and Antibes. The room was clean and comfortable, and it had everything I needed for my stay. The staff was friendly, welcoming and always happy to help with any questions I had. I really appreciated the warm atmosphere throughout the hotel. Overall, Hotel Gothard offered good value for money, and its central location made my holiday even more enjoyable. Thank you for helping make my birthday trip to the French Riviera such a memorable one!

The décor is a little dated in places, but it was well-maintained and clean, and it did not take away from the overall comfort or enjoyment of my stay.

Electricity was being cut off for some reason every now and then, which caused the air conditioning to stop working. This included night time which led to us waking up from the heat in the room.

The breakfast could have had more variety, including scrambled eggs since it's a continental breakfast; however, all the available products were good.

Room was very warm when I arrived no air con put on before my arrival.

The rooms were much more smaller than advertised and the towels weren’t very clean and had visible marks on them. The staff was (to be nice about it) irresponsible. When coming back to the hotel late at night, one of the receptionist was sleeping and the other was doing something else and they didn’t see us or hear us knocking. We waited outside for a good amount of time and we genuinely thought we were gonna end up sleeping outside.

The location was great, only 1km from the beach. Few blocks from the shopping street and only 5 mins walk from the train station. The staff was friendly, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Air conditioning worked perfectly!

After being away from the room during the day, there was a bit odd smell in the room when returning.

Hotel w idealnej lokalizacji dla turystów, wszystko mieliśmy blisko i "z buta". Klimatyzacja działała bez szwanku co często nie jest takie oczywiste. Recepcja całodobowa i bardzo uprzejma nie było problemu z zameldowaniem się w nocy. Napewno bym poleciła przyszłym podróżującym:)

The property is in the prime spot and well connected. You have loads of restaurants around and the convenience stores as well.

The room is small, which is very common across Europe. We’ve found some little bugs around, it didn’t hurt and wasn’t very pleasant.

Nettes Hotel in guter Lage. Nähe vom Bahnhof und ca. 15 min zu Fuß in die Altstadt. Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber. Sehr nettes Personal an der Rezeption. Ich würde es wieder buchen.
