LA CANDURA = the best place, you can stay at Siquijor! I found a very peaceful accomodation with a super box-spring-bed and very comfortable sleep! .. its full of relaxing over there - as its in a peace location on top of the mountains and no traffic, no burned fire.. not really neighborhood .. but a lovely garden with well maintained pool and restaurant. This pool is super clean (the cleanest one, i have ever seen at Phils) and its ready by 6am for my swim-training and even at 10PM you can swim and relax by fancy LED-lights in water and outside. Drinks and meals are very delicious in restaurant and staff is everytime reading your mind and helping wherever they can. Scooter or any other transportation is easy going and not any problem at all - their laundry is exclusive and sooo smoothy.. hihi. The view gives you the really best pictures for sunset and sunrise... the way to San Juan is just 5min - in my opinion - La Candura its a real "insider tipp" !! Big bathroom, comfortable shower with hot/ cold water and comfortable fridge and side-boards made my stay full of enjoyment; drying wet stuff on balcony its a plus ! Their comfy TV + Internet by STARLINK its an extra highlight and very reliable! .. will come back there any time!! ... thanks to all the friendly staff !

There’s nothing to complain about, but there is always room for improvement: - Larger shade structures or umbrellas by the pool would be great. - The satellite/Starlink setup should have a motorized antenna to further increase the data rate. - A roof for the motorbikes would be excellent so the bikes don't all get wet when it rains. - The hot/cold water showers could be explained better, as it takes a bit of figuring out. -The whole helmet issue! ... I mean, even if I'm just on vacation, I want a helmet that actually protects my head—not some tin bucket worn just for show or simply because it’s 500g lighter.

מקום חלום, יש רק שמונה חדרים אז לא המוני. משקיף להרים ולים מהגובה. בימים טובים אפשר לראות שקיעות מושלמות. החדר מרווח נקי ומאובזר, המיטות נוחות. הכביסה מדהימה מי שצריך. בחוץ יש מלא מדשאות- אווירה רומנטית וכייפית. הכי חשוב המקום 4 דקות נסיעה מהמרכז אבל לא מבודד ומפחיד. יש במהלך כל היום בר עם אוכל ושתיה. בקיצור מקום פינוק

Unsere beste Unterkunft auf dem Philippinen. Zimmer top, super ruhig, gegessen haben wir auch öfter dort. Absolute Empfehlung!!

Voor de prijs mag je incl ontbijt verwachten. Geur in de kamer niet fijn en balkon was erg smerig.

Ich hatte Zimmer Nummer 4 im Erdgeschoss und konnte quasi direkt vom Bett in den Pool springen. Die Menschen hier sind so unfassbar lieb. Das Hotel hat nur 8 (?) Zimmer. Alles ist sehr ruhig. Der Pool atemberaubend, das Essen exzellent. Wer Ruhe sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Es liegt dafür weit oben auf dem Berg. Ohne Tuk Tuk wird man hier nichts.

Es gab kein heißes Wasser. Zum Duschen ok, aber zum Haare waschen.....aaaaaahhhhhhh 🤣

Het gebouw en locatie zijn prachtig, de kamers wat verouderd en kunnen wel wat gezelligheid gebruiken.

Personnel très gentil et serviable. Bel emplacement avec une très belle vue sur la mer. Grande piscine, l’endroit est très calme.

Un peu éloigné de San Juan, vous devez prendre un tutuk pour vous y rendre (Service payant). La deco des chambres est un peu ancienne. Le ménage reste sommaire. Il y a des trous dans les murs et les bestioles peuvent donc si faufiler, vous pouvez donc trouver de grosses araignées, des lézards et autres dans votre chambre.

Очень приятная территория. Комната довольно чистая и свежий ремонт. В комнате есть холодильник, раковина и стол, где удобно промывать маски для снорклинга после купания . В отеле можно взять в аренду мотобайк ( 400 песо). Стирка 60 песо за кг. на территории отеля есть ресторан

We loved our stay here. The view is spectacular and the setting is unreal. It feels extremely luxurious and an absolute bargain! The staff are soooo friendly, kind and helpful. It’s super clean! Rooms are very comfy and spacious. Restaurant is good. Would definitely return. It’s 10 minutes by moped from San Juan strip which is perfect as you really get a luxury holiday feel but can me down in the thick of it if you want.

Music needed round the pool!

Tout était bien ! La chambre, la vue, la piscine, etc… pas loin de San Juan et du Tubod Marine Sanctuary où le snorkeling est incroyable (10 minutes en scooter, l’hôtel en loue). Nous le recommandons !

Beautiful place and views

The place is perched high above the island, offering stunning panoramic views. We especially loved the café and the pool—both were perfect for relaxing and taking in the scenery. The staff were incredibly accommodating and honest. A special mention to Ate Mayet, who found our lost wallet and returned it without hesitation—her integrity truly stood out. We hope the management recognizes her exemplary service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly come back!

The air-conditioning was leaking when we arrived but was fixed when we told the staff about it.

breakfast was okay but the location is far from San Juan, no nearby restaurants or shops. Easier to those who rented motorbike or car.

Had a wonderful stay at La Candura - it was just what I was looking for. Out of the hustle and bustle of town, yet nearby, and with incredible views over the island. The pool is humongous and a great place to relax. The pizzas at the restaurant are super tasty. The staff was all friendly, especially Rose at the front desk who always greeted me by name and was so welcoming and accommodating. I rented a scooter from the hotel which made it easy to explore the island.

The WiFi was a very up and down, but that’s what I was expecting so it wasn’t a problem!

It’s a bit remote from center so you most definitely need a motorbike to get around, but that wasn’t a problem for us

A bit far from the center

Lovely location in the hills. A jeepney does pass the property on occasion but it’s much easier to have a car/bike. A van to or from the port arranged by the property is 800pesos.

There are some improvements that could be made to better the property - but the food was good and the views superb.

The view covers 180 degrees of the neighboring islands of Siquijor. The staff welcomes us very well. The surrounding creates a peaceful scene and offers out of city hustle. The pool is also clean.

I wish they have a warm shower.

But without bike impossible: they dont have shuttle. So if rains, ur not gonna get from there. Even they didnt call etrike for us. Wifi is the worst!! Didnt work at all. This was annoying. We couldt work, search nothing. Saturday, nobody at kitchen, could have even breakfast.

It was beautiful and had a magnificent view. The staff were extremely accommodating, helpful and absolutely amazing! For a short term stay of a couple nights I highly recommend.

Downside, had too many bugs/spiders in room and ants everywhere, had a spider about 5 inches across in my room, and I stayed at many other places throughout Asia and didn't have this much of an issue. When the generator is running, it's not only noisy but the gas exhaust fumes are bad. What looks like a jacuzzi in the pic is not. It has jets but water does not heat up which was disappointing because this is the reason why I chose this hotel. This place is quite a bit away from the town, which if your staying awhile becomes a real bummer. The motorbikes you can rent from them are so uncomfortable to ride on. I rented many on my 5 week tour of Asia and these were the most uncomfortable to ride on. It hurt my back because the seat slants towards the handlebars. It would be nice to have more kitchen items in the room. Perhaps a couple plates and silverware.

For two nights, the aircon in our room did not work properly, leaving us sweating and waking us up several times during the night

My stay at La Candura hotel in Siquijor was a genuinely pleasant and memorable experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, with quality bedding that guarantees optimal rest. Amenities such as instant coffee and bottled water were appreciated. However, it should be noted that the cleanliness of the room and bathroom was lacking.

• Cleanliness issues in the room and bathroom, particularly the presence of dead insects. • Ant invasion in the dressing area and from the bathroom to the room. • Need for a longer shower curtain to prevent bathroom flooding, a problem seemingly common in the area. • General maintenance of the bathroom could be improved to ensure perfect hygiene.

Maybe you can work on improving the Wifi Connection in the property.

i enjoyed the sliding front door to the courtyard.

The hotel grounds had a nice pool, restaurant and view of the island perched up high on the hill. The staff was very nice and attentive.

The room did not have a safety deposit box, no hot water, only cold water showers and the room had a kitchen counter with sink but no refrigerator.

Location is not the most convenient

Value for money was amazing, the vue and receptionists are amazing too!

There were lots of guys around the property/ in the oobby that didn’t wear a uniform of any form- would be nice to know who works there and who doesn’t. Lizards in the room living the A/C unit- mentioned it on check out and the receptionist sent the maintenance man up there to deal with it before the next guests!

Nothing, I refused to stay and they kept my money. No refund as of now?

When I arrived in my room there were dead cockroaches on the floor. I tried 3 different internet connections and all of them were so weak that I couldn't maintain a connection. The television did not work because it also had no internet connection. I immediately left the property and they have not returned any of my money for a 5 night stay. NEVER AGAIN

We booked 3 rooms for our large family. Stayed 3 nights. The view from the infinity pool and the balcony is a major bonus. The palce is new. Beds are quite comfortable. The shower place is separated by a curtain. We were a bit stunned to find out onsite that there was no hot water at this facility. It was hot so we managed but being with small kids one would like to take a hot shower at a lovely villa like this. The rooms are spacious. Cleaning on demand. The staff is very polite and welcoming. They are always smiling and ready to help out so this made our stay a fantastic experience. Very reasonable prices at the restaurant and bar. You’ll need a bike as the beach area is a 20min drive.

The smallness of the hotel made the stay feel more personal and the staff was so helpful. The view was beautiful as well.

The service is truly exceptional, I would like to say thank you to all the staff but most especially the owner Mr. & Mrs. Dela Pena. The view was amazing. I will definitely recommend this place.

Not accessible to public transportation

Staff was really great, they were always there for us and quite friendly. The place is really modern and exceptionally maintained. The pool and land around it was really well kept and the beds were actually good. Restaurant service was more than decent. Through the use of Wifi extenders we had internet everywhere around the complex too, which worked well enough for streaming movies. The hotel offers great views, perfect for social media. We were provided with port pick-up and we could rent an almost new motorbike on site.

Shower was luke warm at best

The food was very good and so it should be as you would tend to use the restaurant often as there is no other in the vicinity. The bar was also good with a reasonable variety of spirits on offer and nice cocktails. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is serene and peaceful (until the non resident visitors arrive in large numbers on weekends😞) which somewhat spoils the whole point of having chosen a tranquil place.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem that the policy of the hotel is to have the rooms cleaned on a daily basis and you need to ask to have the room cleaned. It should be clearly stated that the breakfast inclusion does not consist of the various breakfasts offered. The pool is not very clean and shows signs of lack of regular cleaning. There is no phone in the room to ask for room service or any other queries.

so nice area, very relaxing

Beautiful place, the pool is amazing, the restaurant is good, the room is great and spacy, the view is stunning.. Staff is rally friendly. They even took us to the local festival for dinner. San Juan town is just 5min away by motorbike.

The breakfast is basic, just eggs with meat and rice. The restaurant played loud music early in the morning which woke us up.
