Great location with mountain views

The light was broken on the handle and it accidently fell inside the pool, I had to pay for the light.

You feel like you are inside the view. It's up close and awesome. The house is beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable, and has more than you need facility wise. For a self-catering place, its fantastic. But you needn't bother bringing food, because they offer a variety of served breakfasts, and braai packages and pizza options for you to cook up - incredible! The bed is super comfy, and the outdoor shower has the best view ever. We can't wait for an excuse to come back.

We loved everything. The website did warn about the approach road. It is difficult, but go slow and it's fun. We saw 2 antelope on our way up in the dark last night.

I loved everything. I hardly walk barefooted but the level of cleanliness was so amazing that I had to allow my feet to touch the ground. Yvette and the rest of the Marepe team exceeded my expectations. You really came to the party in terms of organizing a birthday weekend and my heart is full. This is definitely one of the places we will be coming back to.

Cet endroit est exceptionnel, il est situé à flanc de montagne et offre une superbe vue. La villa est vraiment très bien meublée, l’extérieur est vraiment magnifique et l’ensemble est très propre. Trainer dans le hot tub en profitant de la vue était vraiment une expérience exceptionnelle. Le personnel était super gentil et de très bon conseil sur les activités à faire. Nous reviendrons certainement.

The views are absolutely breathtaking, this is simply one of the best locations in the entire country. The photos on the app simply do not do the view justice. Really appreciated that the complimentary anniversary set up.

The route up to the properly is more suited to high-clearance cars. I took a chance with a low car which was abit challenging, however the owner communicated clearly prior to the visit.

Helemaal niets. De weg van de openbare weg naar het verblijf is een avontuur maar boven aangekomen word je rijkelijk beloond! En de afgelegen ligging heeft één enorm voordeel: absolute rust.

The reason I chose this location was because of the incredible reviews and beautiful photos, but the reality exceeded every expectation. This place is simply perfect. Even after traveling all over the world, I have never experienced a setting quite like this. The location is truly exceptional, completely immersed in nature while offering a level of comfort and luxury that feels effortless. It creates a rare sense of being fully in sync with the surroundings while still enjoying a beautifully curated experience. Yvette, the owner, is not only deeply committed to delivering five star hospitality, but also genuinely passionate about the welfare of local dogs and supporting businesses that contribute meaningfully to the local community. That intention is felt in every detail. Everything was thoughtfully prepared for our stay, from the warm and seamless check in to the lovely morning room service and attentive housekeeping. The level of care and consistency across the entire experience was outstanding. I am genuinely amazed and so grateful we had the opportunity to stay here. It is a place I will remember for a long time.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in dieser tollen Lodge! Der Ausblick in den Canyon ist einfach atemberaubend und definitiv ein Highlight – man könnte stundenlang dort sitzen und die Aussicht genießen. Auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker und liebevoll zubereitet. Der Roomservice war ebenfalls hervorragend und hat unseren Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht. Ein kleiner Hinweis zur Anreise: Die Lodge ist über eine sehr steile Offroad-Straße erreichbar. Für Fahrzeuge mit niedriger Bodenfreiheit ist das eher ungeeignet – wir empfehlen unbedingt die Anreise mit einem SUV. Insgesamt eine fantastische Unterkunft, die wir absolut weiterempfehlen können!

I had an amazing stay at Marepe. Lovely hosts. - The view is probably the most beautiful view I ever had in a stay, you feel like you are alone in the middle of a forrest with mountain view and a view on the valley. - the Bungalow has everything you need and more, it is super modern, high quality and new - The host did answer questions immediately and helped us when needed, also we sometimes got fresh Banana Bread or Cookies as a surprise. - There is a beautiful braai outside, I recommend to use it - It is located close to the Orpen gate for a Kruger game drive - It has a big fridge so you can bring all your groceries - It is sooo quiet and peaceful - the pool is 1.7m deep so really nice for a proper Plunge :D

The best I have yet been to,for a moment I thought I had entered heaven. The canyons at arm reach like literally 🫣.The apartment is clean, beautiful and super comfortable.

The road leading there needs a bit of work, just so the lower clearance cars can also reach stress free.so that more people can experience the place,because it’s a must see.

Le chemin d'accès, très pentu, après le portail d'entrée, était en mauvais état, des ornières énormes suite à des pluies de janvier , et nécessite un 4X4. Espérons que dès travaux vont l'améliorer.

Der Weg hoch zur Unterkunft war spannend, aber mit einem guten Auto machbar:)

Unglaublich - die Tage werden uns immer in Erinnerung bleiben! Tolle Villa - super geschmackvoll eingerichtet, komfortabel und sehr sauber, alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Und überall wird man mit liebevollen Details überrascht. Die Lage - unglaublich - was für ein fantastischer Ort und Ausblick - bei jedem Wetter ein ganz eigenes Erlebnis. Service und Beratung - top und sehr aufmerksam. Die Anfahrt - gehört dazu 😊 und ist machbar. Beim 1. Mal noch recht abenteuerlich, beim 2. Mal hatte sich die Aufregung gelegt, beim 3. Mal gar kein Problem mehr… Wir hatten einen kleinen SUV und haben es trotz schwerster Regenfälle gemeistert. Wir haben uns selbst verpflegt und haben uns direkt unten im Ort sehr gut versorgen können. Für uns als Schmankerl obendrauf - eine fantastische Vogelwelt. Jede Menge Unternehmungen von hier aus möglich, oder einfach mal die Seele baumeln lassen und diesen Ort genießen. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung - wenn wir es irgendwie mal wieder einrichten können, wir kommen sehr gern wieder!

Es gibt nichts auszusetzen - für uns alles perfekt.

Séjour absolument incroyable, tout était parfait du début à la fin. L’appartement est très spacieux, extrêmement bien équipé et magnifiquement décoré, avec beaucoup de goût et une vraie attention aux détails. Le jardin privé avec piscine et hot tub est superbe, dans un cadre très calme, avec une vue magnifique sur les montagnes, parfait pour déconnecter. Le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel. On choisit la veille ce que l’on souhaite ainsi que l’heure de livraison, et tout est apporté directement dans l’appartement. Le personnel dresse la table, tout est soigné, copieux et délicieux, un vrai luxe. Le personnel est aux petits soins, discret mais toujours disponible. Il est également possible de commander de quoi faire un barbecue. Nous avons opté pour un barbecue de poisson, tout était très généreux et excellent. Nous y étions pour notre lune de miel et nous ne pouvions pas rêver mieux. Une adresse exceptionnelle que je recommande sans la moindre hésitation.

Le chemin pour accéder au logement est un peu sportif et dure environ 10 minutes. Ils nous avaient prévenus à l’avance, et nous avons pu y arriver malgré notre petite voiture de location (Volkswagen Vivo) en y allant doucement. C’était un peu stressant, mais l’arrivée dans ce véritable paradis en vaut largement la peine. Même si c’est possible avec une petite voiture, je recommande un 4x4 pour être plus serein.

La chambre/villa est confortable, très bonne literie, belle salle de bain. Jolie vue sur la montagne.

L’accès est très difficile, le chemin en mauvais, voir très mauvais état pour accéder à la villa. Pas de commodité à proximité (restaurant, épicerie..), accueil correct.

The property is very exclusive and private with elegant and modern facilities, Very specious and clean. The view was Amazzzzzing!!!Easily the best one in the area! I loved how kind and accommodating the host and staff were!

Nothing really, maybe that when we were the weather changed drastically and t we couldn’t enjoy the view due to mist and the we couldn’t use the pool. And the air the air conditioner had issued, but other than that the Property was amazing!

The host as well as her team were excellent going above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Such kindhearted people.

The property was stunning! Great quality decor. The outside shower was incredible. And of course the hot tub stole the show. I loved the peacefulness. Our privacy was guaranteed. The views are spectacular!!! Everything was clean. The breakfast was amazing! Yvette went an extra mile to get us some fish braai pack. Difference was an incredible host. He was gentle, kind, helpful, professional, and very understanding.

It is little bit fat for a weekend away if you travel from Johannesburg. It would also be great to introduce some hiking trails.

Wonderful peaceful place, even better than on pictures. View is spectacular. Villa is not only beautiful, it's built with attention to details. You can really live there, it's very clean and fully equipped. We met the owner, very kind lady who is rescuing dogs, it was a pleasure. We have only nice feelings when thinking about our stay here. I recommend you from my heart, you won't regret.

Wat een fantastische villa is dit! Het braaipakket was heerlijk en van super kwaliteit. Niets was teveel voor de zeer vriendelijke medewerkers die alles op alles zetten om ons verblijf nog comfortabeler te maken.

I had a wonderful stay at this place.The host and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they went above and beyond by arranging a special setup for my husband’s birthday,it was such a thoughtful surprise. The entire place was spotless, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing. And the views were absolutely stunning. Highly recommended for a memorable and scenic getaway.

The property is top tier, the view was amazing😍 It is a good place for relaxing and bonding with your partner or just to chill there alone after a long week of working hard. The place was clean and surprisingly there were no bugs or whatsoever.

Fantastic great value for money and the service is on point. The name Mountain View is nothing less of what it actually is. What a Godly view you must be there to feel the breeze though a bit stronger during our stay but still it was great to be there.

I think thy can improve to secure privacy by the staff while carrying out their daily chores when guests are in the villa. Not bad but can be improved.

Views for days!!! What a treat and spoil this gem was, from arrival to the absolute beauty of the Villa and above all, the views, on the one side of the deck you are right next to the majestic mountains of Blyde and on the other you can see far into the Kruger (Don't forget your Binocs) - Just once in a lifetime opportunity! We were greeted on arrival, the unit is absolutely spotless, bed comfortable, aircon and fan - beautiful lighting, everything you could need in the kitchen, even a blender. I was worried about having my young son with me and cooking food, but the microwave acts as a convection oven too and dinner was perfect when we didn't want to braai. Wifi signal good too.

You definitely need a high rise vehicle, it's a bit of a trek up the mountain.

This is the most magical place. The unit has everything you can want or need. They really have thought of everything. Walking in and taking in the view took my breath away. We loved the welcome pack that included rose petals and champagne. The perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We will hopefully be back every year!
