Le Palme Ahangama

Top verblijf! Als het kon zou ik hier heel de reis gebleven zijn! De eigenaar was enorm behulpzaam en super vriendelijk & lief! Echt een aanrader!

After a disappointing experience at another place, I was very happy to find this property. It was very affordable and looked exactly like the photos. The hosts were extremely kind and welcoming, and I immediately felt comfortable staying there. Even though the restaurant was already closed when I was leaving, they kindly prepared some lunch for me before my ride to the airport. They also helped me arrange a taxi that was much cheaper than the one I had originally booked, which I really appreciated. Their hospitality made a big difference and made my stay very pleasant.

The only small inconvenience was that I had to wait a bit for the room to be ready because there was an electricity issue during a holiday and no electricians were available at the time. However, this was clearly outside of the hosts’ control and they handled the situation as well as they could.

I really loved my room view. The room lighting was really nice.

The water didn't drain from the bathroom.

Nice place to stay in cozy surrounding a bit outside of busy streets.

Big bed. It was clean. Safe place. Calm.

The room was too dumped. The humidity levels were so high that we were super hot and muggy. We were sweating all the time. We could not open the door to refresh because bugs would come in. There was no mosquito net in the room were we stayed. It was mostly the feeling of humidity and lack of fresh air. Too pricy for the value you get.

Lovely property and room. Lock broke on door and they immediately put us in another room no fuss. Great location close to beach would recommend

It was quick reservation and arranged all quickly. extra bed also moved according to our requirement. Allowed our visitors to have dinner together. So kind

The owner was soooo kind and friendly! Really recommend here!! Thank you for 4 nights 😍

Very friendly owner and the members Dinithi and others. We went for a family trip, and on the first day, we were uncomfortable due to the slight room being delayed as a technical issue, but they made it our stay as on point. More than everything, my family was happy. We miss the dog 🐕 called shedo, especially my two kids they being playing with them since we arrived Amazing fried rice.. and the passionfruit juice .

If they had TV it could have been better

The staff is amazing, the room is great, clean and perfect internet (I work remote). Beautiful and peaceful garden, close to the city center and all the surfspots. They offer Laundry service, breakfast, you can get literally everything you need for an amazing stay

It was amazing, one of the best stays we have had. Good value for money and the staff is helpful and kind.

Nothing

The location is beautiful, lots of green all around, very quiet area and the owner is just the sweetest and helpful person ever!

Me and my mate had a good times in the villa. And it's pretty close to every where. Rooms clean and tidy. Highly recommend

Very bright and large room with private bathroom. Amazing view on the tree tops and garden. Situated a litle 10 minute walk from town, in a quet area with rice fields around. The hosts are very nice and they also provide relatively cheap food for room service! Would definitly recommend and come back to👌

What can I say. Cali and Justin and the whole family are fabulous hosts, they looked after me whilst I stayed here for 10 days on my own as a solo traveller. The food is locally priced and cheap and delicious, the dog and kitten are super friendly and there is a really nice terrace to chill at night time. Justin even gave me some fresh chillis and peppercorn from their garden to bring back to England when I left. A quiet, chilled and really friendly place and people. Thank you so much guys!!

Stayed at Ruwan Villa for nine nights, quiet and peaceful place, friendly staff. I also recommend ordering food from them, they are delicious!

Relatively inexpensive , clean , nice staff but no aircon, no pool ( there are similarly priced places with both these facilities nearby), also no shower curtain separating shower from commode area so everything gets wet ( a pet gate of mine) and they have a friendly but big, boisterous dog that might put people with kids off so overall it’s ok.

See above

Good place to stay but a bit too much humidity. The man at the guess house is really nice and always helping

We had a bad stay at another place in Ahangama and booked then in Ruwan and God we're we happy that we did! Spacious rooms, lovely view, secluded garden, quit and all amenities present. We wouldve preferred to stay longer!

Nothing, the family is super friendly as well!

Very clean, comfortable and spacious room in a quiet area around 15 mins walk from Ahangama madness. I loved the big terrace and a big garden ideal for birdwatching! Also beautiful rice fields nearby where I saw kingfishers 🐦 Very nice owners and friendly animals 😻

A quiet location about a 10 minute walk from the main street and beaches. It was nice to be away from the noise. The walk through paddy fields were nice seeing nature. The house house is set in a quiet area and the gardens are lovely. The manager was really nice and helpful

Justin and Priya were so friendly and helpful, answering all my many questions and helping me connect with transportation, and making me food early in the morning before surf! And I borrowed a bicycle :). Thank you!

Great location (10' by foot from the center of Ahangama - hence: very calm area), super kind host, cuddly dog 😉

Bungalows are perfectly organized and the price is unbeatable. The little terrace and the garden are a lovely place where to rest after a day spent on the beach. Staff is amazingly kind and always available to help. Lovely atmosphere. Everything is nearby: beach, restaurants, temples etc. Strongly recommended!

Great value for the money! I had a double room with AC. It was very clean and comfortable. Justin the caretaker or owner (not sure which) was so helpful. Good quiet location about 15 mins walk to the beach. Or you can easily get a tuk tuk.

I don’t have any complaints

It was a really nice bedroom, big clean and modern. The bed was really comfortable. And the place is located far from the noise in a great green area.super peaceful.

It was everything good

The house looks really good from the outside. Our room was basic, but considering the price-quality it was good. One really nice thing is that my girlfriend got scratched by a dog, and when contacting the hosts, they sent someone to help diagnose and clean the scratch!

I think we may have had an older room, compared to the rooms on the pictures. Other rooms in the pictures had a small outside place, though ours didn’t. The room had a nice airco, but the bed has seen its best time. The bathroom was very clammy because the window for ventilation is small. The shower itself was very nice, but there was a small leak on the ceiling. I think our hosts were on holiday, because we have not seen them, but in the end we got the payment done!

Incredible place. Would happily just live there and never leave. Peaceful. Beautiful property, gorgeous rooms, designed with high aesthetic. AC and a comfy bed. Nice bathroom and even a private garden area, and a writing desk. High ceilings lend a lot of space to the room. Justin is a legendary host. And Shadow the golden retriever! Barely a three minute ride to surf Marshmallow. This place is the best.

Justin and his family are lovely hosts, very kind and helpful. The property is 10 minutes walk from the main town which is really nice, being quiet and surrounded by nature. The rooms are big and clean and the kitchen is well equipped. I had a very comfortable stay.

Justin was super lovely! He helped me a lot with the tips on how to get around, how to travel from the South to Ella, where to eat, what to see, etc. He was also very accommodating as I had to stay only two weeks instead of three planned, and he changed it without any problem. There is also a looooovely dog - Shadow, who always wanted to play 🤩

Internet was a bit slow in the evenings, but it is the same across all of Sri Lanka

Friendly owner and amazing dog shadow !

Little far from thé city for me walking

It’s a very calm

Absolutely lovely host, we definitely felt like home. Gave us many tips and helped us out whenever we needed, nice garden with birds, monkeys and a lovely dog. Breakfast was delicious as well. Calm and beautiful location and close to the center/beach at the same time. Hope to stay here again some day! :)

Neil was amazing as was shadow The room was super clean It was quite and comfortable place to stay for a few days

All in all good place to stay. The owner is friendly, the dog shadow super playful and easy-going. Room and bathroom are spacious.

It is at least a 15min walk to the beach and the host does not necessarily have bicycles to give away. Scooter would be the best option. And the bed is awfully loud with every twist and turn!

Spacious room with AC. Really friendly host and well equipped kitchen. We will miss Shadow, the biggest labrador we have seen.

The kitchen could have been cleaner as other guests dont seem to clean up after themselves.

Very nice garden, lovely dog and the family who runs it was super friendly.

Our room didn’t have the best ventilation and at the beginning smelled humid/moldy but it went away when we started using the a/c and opening the doors more.

Properly nearly renuwed with ac and really spacious room! Kitchen had everything needed and host was really sweet, and help me thought my stay with advice for restaurant and help moving around the town!

very nice family, clean room

i really enjoyed my stay here, it’s calm and green and only a 10min walk from the beach. there’s a nice kitchen and garden. and dustin is so kind!

Everything was perfect. Very comfortable bed, large spacious area, well equipped kitchen, great AC, friendly staff, hot shower, sweet and protective dog. Great quality for price.

Excellent and comfortable rooms with the available facilities. Staff is amazing and location is close enough to town and beaches whilst being out of the busy area.

Exceptional value for money. Nice comfortable room with really good aircon and fan. Everything was really new and good quality it’s clear they’ve put a lot of time and effort into the villa. Nice big shared kitchen and common area. The owner Justin was very friendly and accommodating. Set in a big garden with lots of space to relax:)

Very nice place room is cleanownes are good people, can recommend this place

Really nice clean rooms with air conditioning . The building is surrounded by the trees and stays in the shade .The bathroom is huge..We have stayed here twice and really enjoyed our stay. They have a beautiful garden and the owners are really sweet and helpful. Definitely going back!
