Cottage on Harrogate

Nice warm and cosy

Had everything we needed and felt like home.

We loved everything about this property, the owners clearly care about your experience, the house was well maintained and every single detail was thought through with care. Our teens and us loved the games room, we now have a pool table on its way haha. Thanks for a fab stay.

We loved everything!

Everything was perfect. Immaculately clean, so warm and comfortable. Highly recommend and hope to be back

Can’t fault it.

Amazing property right in town, just a 2min walk away from restaurants/bars/hot springs. Immaculately presented, warm and comfortable. Games room is a highlight, lovely outdoor seating. House is well equipped with everything you need, brilliant stay.

Beautifully presented and well equipped for a great stay. Kids particularly loved the games room. The location was also perfect. Within walking distance of the Main Street and spas yet far enough to be quiet and restful.

It had a very ‘homey’ feel with all the luxuries that come with 5🌟 accommodation. The owners were very lovely and easy to communicate with.

Nothing to not like here!

Very clean and cosy! Fully equipped

Perfect location being close to main shopping area but lovely and quiet. Clean, warm, comfortable, well equipped with a homely feel. Nice touches - screen welcoming us with forecast and a farewell message. Unexpected was free use of the EV charger which was very appreciated. Comfy beds.

There were no negatives to this property.

The room was very comfortable, and there was even a garage converted into a games room, which my son absolutely loved. The host had thoughtfully decorated the place and even set the access code using the last four digits of my phone number, making it easy for us to remember. The space was quite spacious, and it’s only a few minutes’ walk to the main shopping street, yet the surroundings are very quiet. The facilities are relatively new, and each bedroom has its own heating, which kept us warm during the slightly chilly autumn weather.

There’s really nothing to complain about. If I had to mention one thing, it would be that you may need to park your car in the driveway outside rather than in a garage. However, we feel that the converted games room is actually more appealing to guests than having a garage.

Beautifully presented, very clean, perfect Location and had everything we needed

Nothing

Great holiday home. Had all amenities you could need. Clean, modern, great games room

I found the mattress very hard. Maybe a mattress topper?

Excellent location, easy walking distance to town. Wonderful property, very clean and spacious. Helpful messages from owners. Games room was particularly enjoyed by 17 year old in our group but also by the 70 year olds. Nice outdoor seating area too.

Absolutely wonderful accommodation

Amazing location Games room a bonus

Nothing except we were a little late leaving 9mjns to be exact and the cleaner was rude

The property had everything. It had three good, comfortable beds. The showers were excellent. The couches were comfy. The games area was excellent for the family. It was clean and well appointed. We had everything that we needed for a travelling family. Check in and check out were simple. Thank you so much.

There was nothing we didn’t like

Great location, great amenities, games room a bonus.

Very clean and spacious. Great location

We were travelling with 3 adults, 2 toddlers and a baby and the house was beyond perfect. Immaculately presented on the inside, and the garden and outdoor area was so beautifully maintained. The house has absolutely everything you need. Washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, oven, stovetop, coffee machine. Cupboards full of everything you could need for a lengthy stay. Beautiful bathroom amenities too (even down to yummy smelling diffusers and room sprays). This holiday home is faultless! Will recommend to others and definitely stay again!

Great location, wonderful layout for a family of five. Really warm with two heat pumps, wall heaters and electric blankets. Would love to stay again

Another amazing stay here - everything is thought of and such a easy place to be. Thanks so much. We will be back 😊

Great Location. Beautiful house. Everything that you need is there. You feel like you are home. We stayed there a second time and I will stay there again. So nice and relaxing.

Excellent location, clean and warm place great for families

Everything about this property was to like. Warm thanks to the hosts for sharing their place with us.

There was nothing we didn’t like

Lovely, cosy, well appointed, and very comfortable. We had a wonderful 3 days there!

Location, amenities and the little touches

Nothing

For older people a shower over a bathtub is not a good idea and as the person who had the worst mobility got the ensuite with the walk-in shower the others had to make do. Also there was no sky TV

Lovely clean and tidy and the entertainment room was a hit with the kids

Nothing

We loved the location and games room ! Everything was clean and we were very happy Thankyou. My mum loved the wee touch with the digital frame .

If I was being the pickiest person in the world a soft mattress topper would be great

Nice , clean and fresh and plenty of room

Nothing

Pretty & tidy accommodation - close to the town. The facilities were great - the pool table/ table tennis & foosball - kept the young ones entertained

The perfect place to stay in the heart of Hanmer. A warm and cosy home away from home where everything has been thought of. Very grateful to have spent 3 nights here and have already booked to come back later this year.

Nothing at all - incredible place to stay!

Property is clean and tidy. My family had a lot of fun since the facility includes fun activity games. Will definitely go back and highly recommend this place!

There’s nothing I can think of.

Everything was great. Beautiful house. Close to the pools. Coffee machine. Game room. Box with a toys so thoughtful. so clean. spacious.

you can't lock the main door from inside so my 3years old easily open door and walk out.

AMAZING property! Walking distance from everything we needed. Gorgeous home with modern and comfortable amenities. Games room was a massive bonus. We will 100% be back.

It would have been good to have access to spare linen, and more loo roll as needed.

Layout, outdoor area, newness and location

Nothing, it was expensive but had many extras

Fantastic place to stay. Close to the pools, shops and restaurants. Extremely tidy place, inside and out. Really comfortable beds and plenty of space in all rooms. A framed personalized welcome message on the kitchen counter was a really nice touch too. The games room was an added bonus, especially the retro arcade games. Our stay was a last minute decision on our way back from Christchurch to Nelson. Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the place for longer, but we'll surely be back.

We could only stay for one night.

We loved everything this property had to offer. Immaculate and clean and close to everything we wanted to see in Hanmer Springs.

Great stay, very handy location walkable to town, pac man machine was fun, made full use of the coffee machine, we had a fab time thank you!

Second time we have stayed here. Perfect location, well appointed, clean and tidy- in fact, absolutely brilliant for us. Good value for money also

Absolutely nothing at all!!!!!

Pretty cottage, everything we needed for a family stay with teenage boys. Clean and comfortable and spacious. Well appointed kitchen and laundry facilities. Owners were quick to communicate.

Clean. Lots of space. Lots of activities. Loved the coffee machine haha. Good showers.

We really liked everything.

Beautifully presented property with everything you could possibly need for a trip away. We came in winter and the house had great heating options so we were very cosy. Kitchen had all the amenities you needed. The kids loved the games room. Very easy to keep clean and tidy.

We loved the living area, board games and the wonderful warmth of the cottage. The bathroom was spacious as was all the bedrooms. Wonderfully located within walking distance to forest walks, the pools and restaurants. We had our granddaughter with us and the house was well suited for her needs- 5 months old.

The cottage did not have a barbeque/braai/grill.

Cottage on Harrogate was amazing! The house was beautiful, well equipped, cosy and comfortable – we didn’t want to leave! The booking was easy, the communication with the owners fantastic and they accommodated our request for earlier check in - which made our stay perfect. We will definitely be back. Thank you Ryan and Ania.

The property is spacious warm and plenty of entertainment. Comfortable beds great bathrooms fully equipped kitchen beautiful outdoor area aswell as an awesome games room! Short walk to the main township was fantastic all round!

Nothing

Amazing property! Did not disappoint. Games room was a huge hit. Plenty of space for a family. Very clean and well equipped.

Everything was perfect

This wee house was perfect- looked small but on arrival we found it was perfect for us- a couple and two women travelling for a bowling tournament. The facilities were all we wanted plus more! So clean, tidy and very well appointed. We all said we would use again on a return visit. A great location to stroll into town for dinner at night too.Top marks hosts!!

Absolutely nothing!!

Beautiful house. Close to all attractions. Bonus games room.

Was absolutely perfect.

Absolutely phenomenal holiday home. Perfect location, exceptionally clean, lovely wee decor touches. Water pressure in the shower was heaven. We all especially loved the games room, think my husband spent most of his time trying to get the high score on pac man!

The couch in the living room probably needs updating.

Beutifully presented home which was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. Great location within short walking distance to the pools and town centre. Loved the games room which was lots of fun and competitions. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here with our son, daughter-in-law and 2 little grandchildren. Will recommend to family and friends and cannot wait to stay here again. The hosts were amazing and the instructions were easy to follow. Thankyou for making our stay at Hanmer comfortable and fun. We would highly recommend the property to family and friends and would love to stay again.

Unfortunately there was a total power outage for all of Hanmer on the morning we were checking out. We were advised that the power was out for most of the day. The host did arrive at the address and was kind enough to keep us informed. She apologised about the outage and was understanding that we were unable to give the property a clean before we left, (not that it was needed).

Very well thought out as a holiday home rental. All bases were covered plus some!

Clean, quiet

Beautifully presented cottage. All you need is there for a very comfortable stay. Very well equipped kitchen. A home away from home. So convenient to town centre. Would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely Superb,

Such a small thing, lounge couch a little soft

This was so central and the house itself was spotless and so comfortable.

Everything

Nothing

Cosy clean and comfortable. Kids loved the games room:)

clean easy and tidy

A bbq would make the outdoor area perfect

Property is amazing, clean comfortable and has everything you need. The games room was fantastic for us with a teenager in tow.

On our last night we experienced the most horrendous high winds which kept us all awake most of the night. We all slept in longer than intended and left the property 10mins late. Big mistake we were all verbally abused by an angry cleaner who just barged into the property while we were still there. After having such an amazing weekend at the property this left us flabbergasted at the rudeness we received. An end of year treat for our teenager turned to tears as she hates confrontation.

The place was amazing. Loved the work that's been done to the place, it's a beautiful home

Cottage on Harrogate is amazing. Fabulous place to stay. Comfortable with very modern facilities and everything you need is there including great coffee. The games room is also a bonus

Everything was fantastic down to the finest detail. Location was so close to the village and pools.

What a fabulous place!!!!

It was very tidy clean and lots for the kids to do

We loved everything

Location easy walk to restaurants and pools etc

All good

Really nice cottage, well situated and everything you could need.

The location is in walking distance of everything. Clean and comfortable

The property is a short walk to the main street and pools - just enough to be away from traffic. The house is very comfortable. Next time we go we would like to stay for longer to make better use of the house and the activities on offer! The key code system for the front door was easy to use and suited us as we had a few people using the property and coming and going on their own.

Parking is a little cramped.

We loved this little cottage, lovely afternoon sun in the loungeroom. Great fully equipped kitchen and the beds were great Walking distance to town and the springs.

It was all great, I think maybe the cleaner forgot to sweep the kitchen floor as there was spaghetti on it, but there was noting we didn't like

Handy location, had everything we needed during our stay

The communication with the hosts was excellent, very prompt replies to my messages, and very simple explanation of how to get into the property. The house was beautiful, extremely well presented and very clean and tidy. It has everything you need. It exceeded my expectations.

I have no complaints. There is nothing more I could have asked for.
