Fenix Edam

Spotlessly clean in a great location only minutes walk to Edam old town. Perfect location for our cycle tour of the area. The hosts allowed us to put our cycles at the side of their house out of sight.

Everything! Beautiful location in the magical town of Edam. The apartment has everything you could ever need. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. We stayed for 4 nights but could have stayed longer. We hired bikes locally and also caught the local buses at the end of the road. It's an easy ride to Amsterdam and north to Hoorn. There are some excellent local restaurants just a 10 minute stroll away.

We liked everything however if you get carried away at the Wednesday cheese market, like we did, and you live in the UK, you need to eat it before returning home because you can't take it back into the UK currently.

Appartamento molto bello e arredato con gusto con una bella cucina.Bella Posizione sul canale, Host gentilissimi e amichevoli. a 5 minuti a piedi dal centro città.

Die Lage war für unser verlängertes Wochenende perfekt. Amsterdam mit dem Bus sehr gut erreichbar und Edam ein ruhiges und sehr schönes kleines Städtchen. Die Unterkunft war absolut nach unserem Geschmack eingerichtet, der Blick aufs Wasser einfach super schön. Der Kontakt zu den Gastgebern unkompliziert und sehr sympathisch.

Alles gut , Lage perfekt zum angeln direkt an der Gracht . Vermieter sehr nett und hilfsbereit . Lage top alles schnell erreichbar , tolle Umgebung.

Exceptional experience in every way. From the very beginning, the hosts showed outstanding kindness, understanding, and genuine care. Due to unexpected health issues in our family, we had to change our plans at the last minute, and their response was incredibly compassionate and supportive. This level of empathy is truly rare and deeply appreciated. The property itself is excellent — spotless, beautifully maintained, and very comfortable. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the location is perfect, making everything easily accessible. What truly makes this place special, however, is the people behind it. Their kindness and humanity set them apart. We wholeheartedly recommend this stay and are incredibly grateful. Thank you for everything!

Nous avons aimé l'emplacement du logement avec le cadre au calme en face du canal. Le logement était très confortable avec une proximité du centre d'EDAM et de la gare routière pour visiter Amsterdam. Super accueil des hôtes avec une petite attention à notre arrivée et des conseils pour notre séjour. Une belle parenthèse pour visiter la Hollande.

De sfeer en de inrichting van het huisje is erg prettig. Het is warm en confortabel. Alles is mooi en nieuw en met aandacht ingericht. En er is werkelijk alles aanwezig. De ligging is fantastisch, met een leuk uitzicht op het water.

Wunderschöne Ferienwohnung in toller Lage ! Alles war blitzsauber, modern eingerichtet und es hat an nichts gefehlt . Die Gastgeber waren super freundlich und hilfsbereit . Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen sehr gerne wider !!

Eva hat uns herzlich begrüßt. Die Wohnung ist einfach TOP. Sehr geräumig, super sauber, einfach alles vorhanden: Tee, Kaffee, Milch, Zucker, Obst, Seife, Duschgel etc. Fußläufig 2 Minuten zum Busbahnhof. Daher auch gut für einen Trip nach Amsterdam , Fahrzeit 30 Minuten, zu empfehlen. 😀

Beau logement, parfait pour un couple ou personne seule. Cuisine bien équipée. Très bel environnement avec un canal bucolique juste de l'autre côté de la rue. Ville de Volendam (port touristique) à 5 minutes en voiture. Excellent emplacement à 20 minutes de route d'Amsterdam avec la possibilité d'y aller en bus (station juste à côté du logement).

The location was perfect for us! We prefer to stay outside busy cities and Edam was a great choice for us. We didn't have a car so we walked everywhere or used public transportation. It is an easy 20 - 25 minute bus ride from Amsterdam Central Station to Edam Bus Station and then a 5 minute walk to Fenix Edam. There was a grocery store within a 15 minute walk and great restaurants within 5 - 10 minute walk. Awesome French bakery/bread shop nearby too. The unit was super clean, tastefully decorated, and bed was very comfortable. Everything you need is there and we loved it. The hosts were awesome! Eva met us and showed us the unit and was super accommodating with any further needs. Robert and Eva are both wonderful people and fun to chat with. There was a folder with restaurant suggestions and other highlights in Edam. The town of Edam is super cute and fun to walk through. The adjacent town of Volendam is also very nice at the harbor area. It is a great location and launching point to other areas north of Amsterdam, especially if you want a nice stay out of the busy city center of Amsterdam. We would absolutely stay here again!

Nothing, everything was perfect.

From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect about this lovely place to stay in beautiful Edam. Eva was very friendly, kind and welcoming. She showed us the accommodation and introduced its features. A welcome basket of goodies and big vase of beautiful pink peony flowers awaited us. The front room has a gorgeous view of the canal, its boats, trees and pretty houses. It is a lovely space to sit and relax. The kitchen is superb, having all you could need for preparing meals and there’s plenty of room. There is a comfortable couch, a nice big table, and all is newly decorated, very clean and well kept. The king bed is comfy and fabulous, and the bathroom and shower are excellent. Fenix Edam is moments from the bus station for buses to Amsterdam. There is a good supermarket in easy reach by a comfortable, quiet walk along the canals. Edam is a fascinating town to visit with lots to see and just simply wander around. Highly recommend Felix Edam.
