We loved our stay here as we felt so comfortable here. The owner and the caretaker are so nice and super friendly and helpful. It is just a short walk to the beach and a lot of cafes and restaurants are around. But in the garden you feel far away and comfortable. Would recommend to stay here!!

Uns hat die Lage sehr gut gefallen. Es ist etwas versteckt im Hinterhof. Alles sehr liebevoll eingerichtet.

Leider ist die Zimmerdecke nicht verkleidet, sodass man die Ziegel sehen dann, das sieht zwar sehr cool aus, allerdings ist es dadurch sehr hellhörig und ein guter Ort für Tiere.

Posto comodissimo per la spiaggia, vengono organizzate tantissime attività interessanti tra cui il tour a pigeon island e sessioni di massaggi ayurvedici consigliatissimi! Il proprietario è sempre disponibile e parla un ottimo inglese. La colazione è favolosa! Camere pulitissime e con tutto il necessario

Struttura appena dietro la via principale di uppuveli vicinissima ai ristoranti e anche all accesso alla spiaggia . L host Rizvi è stato sempre gentilissimo e ci ha aiutato con tutte le nostre richieste ! La casa è comoda e dotata di ogni comfort e abbiamo passato uno splendido soggiorno ! Consigliatissimo

Eine stylische, gut gelegene Unterkunft mit toller Nähe zum Strand! Der Gastgeber war super freundlich und hat uns viele Tipps gegeben. Einen Morgen sind wir gemeinsam mit den lokalen traditionellen Fischern zum Fischen rausgefahren, ein echtes Highlight und jedem zu empfehlen! 😊

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Nongu House in Trincomalee. The property is beautifully designed in a charming boutique hotel style – stylish, cozy, and incredibly welcoming. Every detail has been thoughtfully put together, making it a lovely place to relax. The service was exceptional. Our host was incredibly kind, helpful, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the beach, making it easy to enjoy the sea and nearby restaurants. Breakfast is available as an optional extra, which is a nice convenience for guests who would like to have it on-site. Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations. We would come back in a heartbeat and highly recommend Nongu House to anyone visiting Trincomalee!

The host was so friendly and helpful, the room had been cleaned everyday. The breakfast they have prepared was delicious and sufficient. The location is close to areas that we wanted to be as such beach and fernandos market place.

There was not a safe in the room therefore we had to keep our money and valuables with us all the time.

The property was very well kept with a very convenient yet hidden location. It provided well working amenities that made the stay comfortable, and further, the property itself was beautiful and accommodating. From the calming and naturalistic bathroom to the delicious cinnamon scent that the room held, the property was everything we could have wished for. Moreover the hosts were incredibly useful providing detailed information whenever we needed and supplying us with our every need with ease.

A fabulous stay in Trincomalee- the father and son owners are really kind and helpful - you are in the perfect location for restaurants/cafes and the beach! Loved staying here and will be back !

The location was perfect, we loved that the shower was “outside”. We liked the vibe over there and the room was already available for us as well.

Die Unterkunft sieht genauso aus wie auf den Fotos. Liebevoll und stilvoll eingerichtet, sauber und sehr ruhige Lage. Die ganze Unterkunft hat wundervoll nach Cinnamon gerochen.

Es ist etwas hellhörig. Wenn die Nachbarn sehr laut sind, hört man jedes Wort.

This beautiful property sits a few minutes walk from the beach. Host Rizvi was incredibly responsive, providing all the info we needed for a seamless stay—plus help with all query regarding transportation to and from Trincomalee. We also got a small Turtle statue from the concept store. A bunch of cafés and restaurants nearby.

We absolutely loved our stay here! It was a little oasis tucked away from the busy streets. The room is really tastefully decorated and the outdoor bathroom is fab. Your minutes away from really great restaurants and less than 5 minutes from the beach. Rizvi the owner is incredibly helpful, organising any trips and transfers you need and the manager was very sweet and always around to help.

The shower water is cold, but it was actually great for the weather during our trip. No mini fridge.

Absolument rien!

Leuk huisje op een centrale plek in Trincomalee. De eigenaren waren erg aardig de kamers zijn niet groot maar erg leuk ingericht. Er is een buitendouche, een leuk terrasje en een fijn bed met klamboe. Als je de tuin uitloopt sta je in een straatje met veel restaurants en een supermarktje. Wij hebben alle buur restaurantjes richting de kust uitgeprobeerd en hebben heerlijk gegeten en ontbeten. Trincomalee is een leuke kustplaats heel anders dan het zuiden. Aanrader de snorkeltocht naar Pigeon Island erg mooi wel jammer van veel dood koraal.

Spent three days at this lovely accommodation and would definitely recommend staying here. The rooms are beautifully designed, the location is great (near to the beach, lots of restaurants) and most of all the owner and staff are super warm, nice and helpful. Yes, you do hear some sounds but that’s also the Sri Lankan charm of it. We loved it, Thankyou so much!

We loved the design of the room, the location and the restaurants nearby. The shower gel was really lovely too! The garden was really carefully tended. The information provided was very helpful.

There was no hot water, so showers are cold. The toilet roll was not replaced when it ran out. It would have been great to have a small fridge.

Wir hatten einen Super Aufenthalt. Das gemütliche Zimmer hatte alles was benötigt wird. Alles ist sauber und der Gstgeber ist sehr nett.

We hadden een heerlijk verblijf bij Nongu Home. Netjes, schoon en op een top locatie op loopafstand van het strand en leuke eetgelegenheden. De eigenaren zijn ontzettend lief en staan op elk moment voor je klaar. Kortom, een aanrader!

Super personnel! Chambre décoré avec goût, le proprio étant architecte sur Colombo. Lit confortable. Super emplacement, à deux pas de la plage et de très bons restos. Salle de bain originale, très agréable de se doucher dehors (à l'abri des regards tout de même).

Isolation sonore assez faible, nous nous sommes donc réveillés en même temps que les locaux (pas gênant pour autant) Le concept nature / écolo / design est peut être un peu poussé trop loin avec la douche ; mais on s'y habitue et finit par y prendre du plaisir !

The location is close to restaurants

There was no refrigerator in the room, which made things quite inconvenient given the hot climate. The shower was outside, placed right beside the toilet, with no roof overhead, so everything got wet while using it. On top of that, mosquitoes easily came in, meaning you really need insect repellent if you don’t want to spend the night being bitten. The rooms themselves are cramped, offering barely enough space for luggage, and with so little daylight coming in, the atmosphere feels more like a cave than a bedroom. Noise from the street is also a problem, particularly the crows at night, even though earplugs are provided.

Geweldig mooi ingerichte kamer met natuurlijke uitstraling. Aan elk detail is gedacht, zelfs de geur in de ruimte (subtiel kaneel, maar zelfs op de derde dag nog te ruiken). De eigenaar en zijn vader zijn ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Wij hebben enorm genoten van het verblijf. De buitenbadkamer is een belevenis.

Chambre très propre et décorée avec goût . Nous avons adoré la salle de bain qui donne sur l’extérieur. L’emplacement est également très proche de la plage cinq minutes à pied, il y a énormément de restaurants aux alentours.

La struttura è piccola e familiare: ci sono solo tre camere affacciate a un piacevole giardino molto curato. La nostra camera, seppur piccola, era molto bella, arredata con stile e attenzione per i dettagli. Il bagno è all'aperto, ma è curato anch'esso nei minimi particolari. La doccia, in particolar modo, è costruita in modo davvero originale! Il set di cortesia è una vera coccola! La struttura si trova in una delle vie principali di Uppuveli, ma si respira un'atmosfera più tranquilla perché è collocata dietro il negozio degli stessi proprietari (vi consiglio di passare: troverete dei souvenir meravigliosi!). I proprietari sono gentili e disponibili, ci siamo sentiti davvero accolti. Super consigliato!

Heerlijk dicht bij het strand. Kleine maar knusse kamer. Een buitendouche met alleen koud water welke de ervaring alleen maar leuker maakt. Zeer vriendelijk oude man die de boel in de gaten houdt en je ook nog wat tips hier en daar meegeeft.

Beautiful room close to the beach and many good restaurants and shops. There is a lot of attention to the details to the furniture and to the details compared to other places in Sri Lanka, and we really appreciated. The staff is incredible! We received a lot of help to organise our activities during our stay. Would recommend it!

The property was in a great location for food and beach access. The facilities were very clean and well kept. It was a beautiful space to spend a few nights in Trincomalee. The staff were amazingly helpful with recommendations on food/activities.

Schönes sauberes Zimmer, ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Bad im Freien war ein besonderes Erlebnis. Man kann auch sehr gemütlich auf der Terrasse im Garten sitzen. Der Gastgeber ist super nett und hat uns ein PDF Dokument zur Verfügung gestellt mit Tipps für Unternehmungen in der Nähe. Wir konnten den Gastgeber immer fragen, wenn wir etwas wissen wollten und er war immer sehr freundlich. Gerne wieder.

Die Zimmer sind relativ klein. Uns hat das aber überhaupt nicht gestört, denn wir haben den Platz trotzdem als Ausreichend empfunden.

The accommodation is well located, just a short walk from Uppuvelli beach. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet at night. We really appreciate having shampoo and body lotion! The hosts are super nice and helpful. We would come back here again

Mooie locatie, voelt heel luxe en toch dichtbij de restaurants. Leuk om op het fijne terras aapjes te kijken. Alles is goed verzorgd en vriendelijke eigenaar.

The property was very clean, outside bathroom was great and refreshing. And everything was nicely designed. Sober but nice!

Given the heat, a mini fridge to keep water cool would’ve been nice, the mosquito net was only attached to one side so it laid on you while sleeping and lastly, the airconditioning in our room was very old (stuck together with ducktape). It did the trick of cooling the room, however it made a lot of noise so that was less nice to sleep.

Nongu Home is een kleine, stijlvolle oase waar je helemaal op je gemak bent. Er zijn maar drie kamers, waardoor je hier echt rustig zit. De eigenaar is gemakkelijk bereikbaar en neemt de tijd om je vragen te beantwoorden. De kamer zelf is klein maar comfortabel en met veel aandacht ingericht.

Zo goed als geen negatieve punten. Alles in de kamer is tot in de puntjes verzorgd, met de nadruk op eenvoud. De badkamer is basic: verwacht hier geen grote luxe en houd er rekening mee dat er alleen koud water is. In de hitte van Trincomalee vonden wij dat alvast niet erg.

Sehr stilvoll eingerichtete Unterkunft, in perfekter Lage, mit sehr vielen Restaurants und Strand direkt in der Nähe. Die Terrasse mit zugehörigen Garten lädt zum verweilen ein. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und haben uns direkt mit sehr vielen guten Tipps für die Umgebung versorgt.

Die Lage ist hervorragend! Man ist genau in der besten Restaurant & Café Straße der Stadt und brauch nur 5 Fußminuten bis zum schönen Strand.wunderbar.

Die AC hat direkt aufs Bett gekühlt, das war nachts teils sehr kalt.

The accommodation is located within walking distance to Uppuveli beach, having plenty of restaurants and bars close by. The hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly. We booked a tour to Pigeon island through them and everything worked perfectly. The room itself was amazing and had a great design and everything you need.

Piccola location con solo 3 camere a gestione familiare con uno stile davvero molto bello e ben curato nel dettaglio (pulsanti accensione luci top!) Arredato con cura, camera pulita con aria condizionata, ventilatore e zanzariera sul letto. Bagno aperto nella parte doccia ma comunque protetto con set cortesia (buonissimo il sapone e crema corpo al cocco!) In camera bollitore e french Press con caffè macinato locale (complimenti x l'idea!) A 5 minuti a piedi dalla spiaggia di Uppuveli e accanto ad una lavanderia e vicino a ristoranti e localini. Rizvi davvero disponibile e cortese ci ha consigliato cosa visitare, parla bene inglese. Molto bello anche il suo negozio davanti alla struttura appena aperto. Consigliatissimo!

Le due notti che siamo stati noi non c'era acqua calda ma non è stato fastidioso fare la doccia tiepida visto il caldo importante. Migliorerei il modo di mettere la zanzariera sul letto. Alcune prese di corrente un po' datate X cui serviva l'adattatore dell'adattatore

La habitación es muy acogedora y bonita, y la ubicación es perfecta

This was our favourite place we stayed on our trip. Whilst it might look basic in the photos it is simple elegance! It is incredibly tasteful and understated in its decor. Attention to detail and little touches made this place so special. The gentleman who looks after Nongu Home was friendly, funny and helpful. He was the perfect balance of present but not fussy or overbearing. The garden is a real pleasure to be in. We loved it he handwash in the bathrooms and they were kind enough to give us a bottle to take home with us.

Tolle Unterkunft. Hilfsbereit und immer freundlich. Lage top. Direkt ein Haus weiter eine Wäscherei. Alles in Allem perfekt für ein paar Tage in der Gegend. Jederzeit gerne wieder

Für uns war die Unterkunft perfekt. Tolle Lage- fußläufig zu einem schönen Strand und vielen Restaurants. Die Unterkunft ist sauber und wir fanden das Badezimmer im Freien toll. Der Gastgeber ist sehr herzlich und aufmerksam. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Das Zimmer ist etwas klein, was uns aber überhaupt nicht gestört hat, da es super ausgestattet und sauber war.

Super lieve mensen die altijd voor je klaar staan. De kamer is heerlijk en schoon op een fijne locatie. De douche is fijn, een soort buitendouche. De restaurantjes die ernaast zitten zijn ook fantastisch.

Struttura a 2 passi della spiaggia, immersa nel verde . La nostra stanza aveva un piccolo patio con tavolino e poltrone . Il bagno , simpatico, è all'aperto . Aria condizionata e Wi-Fi perfetti. Grazie a WhatsApp la comunicazione con Rizvi è stata molto facile

Purtroppo ha piovuto durante tutto il nostro soggiorno dunque la mancanza d'acqua calda in bagno si è fatta sentire !

Wunderschöne Unterkunft. Wie eine kleine Oase zum aufatmen. Der Caretaker war sehr lieb und hat sich gut um uns gekümmert.

Het was even zoeken, omdat er geen bordje hing, maar we werden al snel vriendelijk welkom geheten door de housekeeper. De kamer was prachtig en sfeervol, de douche verfrissend (maar ook op regenachtige dagen niet echt koud). Fijne plek, met hele lieve buren die een superrestaurant runnen, dat zelfs buiten het seizoen open was.

Unlike a lot of Sri Lanka accom, the host has put some effort into the design of the rooms and surrounding. Very helpful hosts who went above and beyond.

Zimmer sind sehr klein

Sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und deshalb unseren Aufenthalt verlängert. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Wonderful room with outdoor shower, beautiful garden and an adorable care taker Careem. The host was always available and replied fast. There's a water boiler and some tea & coffee, you're pretty close to all the touristy restaurants.

We felt like there were a lot more mosquitoes than elsewhere and it would be nice to have an anti-mosquito-plug or incense sticks provided. Also the mosquito net was pretty annoying because it hangs pretty close over your body..
