The natural surroundings were absolutely beautiful truly nature at its best. The staff were also very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway!

Such a beautiful and peaceful stay. The views from Villa Cork are unreal you’re surrounded by so much greenery that you really feel like you’re staying in the jungle. Seeing monkeys playing in the trees in the morning was such a cool experience. The homemade Sri Lankan breakfast was amazing and honestly one of the best meals I had during my time in Sri Lanka. The host was so kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. I would absolutely stay here again!

Absolutely loved my stay at Villa Cork. The view was incredible, it genuinely felt like being tucked away in the middle of the jungle, and I woke up to monkeys playing in the trees right outside. The Sri Lankan breakfast was one of my favorite meals of my entire trip so far! The host was incredibly friendly and accommodating and made the stay even better. Such a special place and easily one of my favorite stays in Sri Lanka.

Tiene de todo en cuanto a necesidades. Una cama, una ducha caliente y poco más.

Habitación sucia, planta superior. Cuando llegó nadie me atiende hasta pasado un rato, no me dan claves de wifi si no lo pido, no me informan de desayuno sino lo pido. Un hotel sucio y que huele mal en un sitio feo (calle sin salida y alejado de fort Galle). Pero sin duda lo PEOR el desayuno. Pedí English breakfast y me encuentro platos indian y 4 rebanadas de pan tostado duro como una piedra, sin zumo, un huevo frito sin más frito en un aceite asquerosamente sucio, me ofrecen agua y me la cobran, me ofrece café y es café en polvo con leche en polvo sin azúcar y en un hervidor encima de una silla. Todo asqueroso, sucio y con mal aspecto. No recomiendo que duermas aquí.

This is a nice property at around 2km from Galle fort. It has a large terrace, and is surrounded by greenery. There is a lake right next to the property. It also has a shared kitchen. All the amenities were available. The host was quite helpful.

The place needs to be deep cleaned. There were cobwebs around the place. The bed linen was not super clean.

The place is beautiful, with a spacious garden overlooking a lake and marsh. You can see various types of birds and different plants. The staff were excellent and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. Many thanks to them.

Lo mejor del alojamiento fue el anfitrión, fue súper amable con nosotros y nos hizo nuestra estancia mucho más agradable. La habitación es súper amplia y cómoda.

Quizás necesite mejorar el mantenimiento de las instalaciones, por ejemplo el baño tenía mucha humedad y olía un poco mal, o la puerta quizás necesite una capa de pintura. Pero a modo sugerencia.

Es un sitio mágico rodeado de plena naturaleza, mientras desayunas puedes ver los monos, las vistas son increíbles. La habitación muy amplia y la cama cómoda. Repetiría sin duda

Super schönes, großes Zimmer. Tolle Lage mit wunderschönen Blick auf einen See. Stadt ist zu Fuß erreichbar, ohne Probleme! Am besten war aber der super tolle Host. Jeden Morgen begrüßt er einen mit einem freundlichen ansteckenden Lächeln und bereitet leckere Frühstück vor. Er gibt sich sehr viel Mühe und man fühlt sich total wohl. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

My Stay at Villa cork was truly excellent and beyond expectations. The staff were outstanding – extremely professional, friendly, caring, and always ready to help with a smile. They made me feel welcomed from the moment we arrived and their hospitality felt even better than many luxury hotels. The villa itself was comfortable, peaceful, and really worth the money. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay memorable. Highly recommended and we would definitely visit again!

One of the best stays I have booked through booking.com, probably the best I guess.The owner of the villa was really kind and friendly. The surrounding was clean and so quiet and I should say, the breakfast was EXCEPTIONAL!!!. It was beyond our expectations! Loved the stay and hoping to come back quite soon.

Ishaan the caretaker/manager was always present and cheerful.Willing to help with everything we needed. Beautiful surroundings and quiet although near the city.very much recommend.

Had an amazing stay at Villa Cork in Galle! The villa is beautiful, peaceful, and extremely budget friendly. It’s located just a few minutes away from the main center, with a lovely river-facing view that made the stay even more relaxing. What truly made this place special was the host, Ishaan. He was one of the best people we met during our trip — incredibly kind, informative, and always ready to help with recommendations and anything we needed. His warm hospitality made us enjoy this stay even more. If you’re looking for a calm, affordable, and welcoming place in Galle, I would definitely recommend Villa Cork.

The care taker present there was very very sweet. He helped us in every way. He even prepared veg breakfast for us. He was very kind and we had lovely stay. Property was very greenish, birds chirping. Vibe was very calm and soothing.

The outlook was great. Some wild life: mongoose, monkeys and peacock. Bed was comfortable. Aircon, fan and tv.

Tepid water let the fantastic shower down. Would have been excellent if there's hot water. No jug so can't have tea or coffee that was supplied. The noise from other rooms keep us awake. Breakfast was interesting.

Сотрудники отеля очень милые и отзывчивые. Мы потеряли бритву в номере и обнаружили это, уже уехав в другой город. Они её нашли и отправили нам доставкой. Выйдя на балкон можно увидеть обезьян. Место очень тихое, слышно только птиц. Находится в 10-15 минутах пешком от форта.

Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und hat ein leckeres Frühstück für uns zubereitet. Wir konnten sogar unser Zimmer am Abreisetag noch länger nutzen, da unser Flug erst abends ging. Das Zimmer war sauber, das Bett sehr gemütlich und die Klimaanlage war sehr gut und leise

This is a very good place for a comfortable stay. Very close to the galle road (main road). 5-10min drive to the Galle fort. 15-20 drive to the Jungle Beach. The cleanliness in the room and the surrounding is 10/10. The place is situated near a river with a nice ecosystem. Ideal for bird watching too. Very calm and quite. The owner is very friendly and honest. The food is superb. Kids friendly, with a big garden. Free onsite parking available. On high security surveillance.

Trevligt och lugnt ställe. Väldigt avkopplande miljö med mycket djurliv runtomkring. Rummet var bra med bra ac och en mycket skön säng.Frukosten var väl tilltagen och mycket mättande. Familjen som har stället är mycket vänliga och hjälper gärna till om man behöver något

It was a wonderful stay. Unfortunately, we only had one night but with such a huge and clean room and a fantastic view of the little lake, we would have loved to stay longer. The host was very, very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was homemade and fabulous. We can recommend this villa to everyone 😊.

Gorgeous rooms - spacious with comfortable beds, garden is beautiful and peaceful. Good distance between Galle Fort and beaches too but definitely would recommend having a car if you stay here! Free water refill & laundry too which was very useful

Desperately needs mosquito nets on the bed. Situated next to a lake so lots of them around - we had about 15 in our room on the first night which was such a shame as it was all perfect apart from that!

The breakfast was pretty bad with no selection . Lack of furniture in bedroom even though bedroom was very large by standards. And the only seating area was on the balcony, which was shared by complete strangers next door !!

I agree with other reviews that this property has so much potential. - The room we stayed in was large with a/c and a very comfy bed - The shower was also great - The property sits right by a lake and it’s quite a unique setting - Well located away from the main road so you don’t hear traffic. This is replaced by the sounds of nature - Comfy chairs on the veranda

Communication at check-in and throughout our stay could have been better. When we checked in, we were just given the key. We weren’t told about breakfast times so I forgot that our booking even included it. We then received two texts and a call asking why we weren’t at breakfast. We also went searching for a kettle for hot water in the evening as we weren’t aware a locked door in the room was access to a kitchen. Perhaps if this was clarified as check-in or if there was an information card in the room then these issues wouldn’t have happened. This property has so much potential.

One of the best places we've stayed at in Sri Lanka! - Room was very clean, big and spacious. Big wardrobe as well with lots of storage and hangers. - Property is off the main road so we had slept soundly each night as it was super quiet. The bed was big and very comfortable. - The A/C and fan worked perfectly. - Shower was amazing and had unlimited hot water with tons of pressure. Shampoo, shower gel, hand soap and bath towels all provided. - Breakfast was different and delicious each morning. We could watch monkeys in the trees while eating on the top floor. Property is gated and felt very safe. The owners were very kind and helpful with anything needed. Would definitely stay again!

Nothing really. An information sheet in the room or sent by message through Booking.com would be helpful though for arriving guests (wifi information, where to find drinking water, what time breakfast is available, etc).

Silent, green, fresh, spacious and clean nest in the proximity of the Fort, which is reachable in 30 min walk along the main road. Private access to a kitchen and the laundry is a great plus.

Room was large, clean and very comfortable. It had access to a kitchen with fridge and kettle. Gardens were beautiful and well maintained with lots of wildlife and view of the lake. Breakfast was wonderful too.

We've read lots of reviews saying places are fantastic but this is the real McCoy. Everything is great.....Location, property, cleanliness, staff, food, size of room, bathroom, huge balcony....... Beautiful garden, great breakfast, great opportunity to see wildlife, absolutely lovely staff who went the extra mile even getting us a fridge for our room.

Nice and cosy place, great to relax from the busy life elsewhere in Sri Lanka. Nice view on the lake and into the palm trees, with birds & monkeys. The Breakfast was nice as well, you get to choose between a western or traditional meal.
