Overall, a very disappointing stay. The receptionist was completely unhelpful and lacked basic professionalism. She refused to assist with an EV charging payment issue and made us feel guilty for asking to repair a broken balcony handle. While the handyman was very kind, the front desk's poor attitude ruined our experience. Additionally, the trash setup in the room is hidden and inconvenient! I had to open the cabinet and again open the cover to throw garbage!!! There are so many switches I could not figure out. I would not return and definately not recommend any one.

Loved Aurland and staying at the Wangen apartment right on the water a perfect location. A self contained kitchenette and a grocery store right next door plus a pub right out the front. Plenty of parking. The fjord was just beautiful and watching the big cruise ship sail by in the early evening. The location is less than a 10 min. Drive to Flam and we had a car so this worked out perfect. A lot less tourists as the cruise ship docks in Flam.

We stayed in Apartment 21 for four nights, from June 27 to July 1, 2026. Unfortunately, our experience did not match the expectations created before booking. The fjord and mountain view was a principal reason we selected Wangen Apartments. Because the view was particularly important to us, we specifically asked the property about it before booking. We were told: “They all look at the fjord, but they are not waterfront, they are approximately 20 mt from the water. But you still have a nice view of the fjord and the mountains!” Upon arrival, we found that a large building immediately in front of Apartment 21 substantially obstructed the principal view from the apartment and balcony. Portions of the fjord could be seen from certain positions, but the overall view was considerably more obstructed than we reasonably expected from the listing photographs and the property’s response to our inquiry. Had the extent of the obstruction been apparent before booking, we would have considered other accommodation. The thermostat/climate-control system was also inoperative throughout our four-night stay, making the apartment uncomfortably warm at times. The property acknowledged that it knew about the problem on the day of check-in and could not have it repaired before our departure. Afterward, the property offered NOK 1,000 specifically for the thermostat issue. Before supplying banking information, we asked it to confirm that accepting this limited payment would not settle or prejudice our separate complaint concerning the presentation of the view. The property declined to provide that confirmation, required the banking information that same day or the offer would be withdrawn, and then refused further correspondence. Consequently, no refund or compensation was ever received. We did not consider this a proper or professional way to handle a documented guest complaint.

The location is magnificent. I would highly recommend the extra cost for a fjord view. Waking up to the amazing scenery was very special. The apartment was stylish, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We loved every second of our stay. If you are considering staying in Flam, don't. Take the ferry one stop and experience Aurland. Quieter, prettier, and cheaper as well as being a pick up point for the fjord cruise.

Its location on the fjord

We chose it, in spite of its very high price, because of the fjord view but the screen of the window was broken preventing to watch the view. We had not been told about that beforehand, otherwise we would gave gonz somewhere else. Also, the bedroom was extremely small (only about 30 cm wider than tge bed!) and the kitchen cabinets and appliances were not clean.

Bella la camera e la vista "parziale" sul fiordo. Personale alla reception molto gentile e disponibile.

Visto il costo alto di una camera mi sarei aspettato molto di più. Non ci sono pulizie giornaliere. Non c'è cambio asciugamani. Non c'è la colazione. Manca un televisore in camera e non c'è un armadio, nemmeno piccolo. C'è un bollitore elettrico e il caffè non è confezionato in dosi sigillate, lo trovi macinato in un barattolo di vetro che starà lì chissà da quanto tempo e per quanto ci resterà (assolutamente poco igienico).

Zdecydowanie widok bezpośredni na fiord sprawiał, że mieliśmy wrażenie, że się na nim unosimy. Przepiękne miejsce, cała miejscowość jest bardzo urocza. Zaraz obok znajdowały się sauny na przystani. Polecamy z całego serca.

Ho trovato un po’ standardizzata l’accoglienza, molto efficiente ma tutto inviato tramite web ( codici apertura porte, garage, ecc), inoltre dovrebbero essere più chiari sull’ubicazione dell’appartamento, perché dal sito non si vedeva che la vista fiordo era in parte ostruita dalla palazzina di fronte).

Fantastic location on the fjord. Staff was great about scheduling the sauna and dinners. On-site shop was handy.

Kitchen was right for cooking, altho a great grocery store was nearby. A afternoon wedding and evening reception took place right outside our deck, which was a little odd and intrusive, but it ended promptly at 10 pm so the noise did not interfere.

Ausstattung ist minimal (Besteck, Teller etc. genau zweimal vorhanden). Zimmer ist sehr, sehr dunkel. Feueralarm mit völliger Räumuz um 3:30 Uhr (Fehlalarm) ohne ein Wort des Bedauerns

The location is fantastic. The apartment is modern, clean, quiet and fully equipped. The heating was also very pleasant. Would definitely recommend.

De accommodatie zei dat het voor 4 personen kon (2 op slaapbank) maar de slaapbank was echt heel slecht om op te slapen. Dus voor 2 personen een prachtig leuk appartement, voor 4 niet. En de prijs was echt te hoog.

Great view - clean and warm

In spite of the great setting, we thought this was bad value for money compared to everywhere else we stayed in Norway. Very small for a family of 4, sofa bed super uncomfortable and see through blinds in the living room which is a problem in the summer.

Die appartements sind schon ziemlich abgewohnt, trotz des noch jungen Baualters. Wir mussten die Sauberkeit im Bad und der Küche reklamieren. Für den Preis erwarte ich ein sauberes Bad. Wenig Ablagefläche. Tolle Lage, aber eher vom Gefühl eher Boardinghouse

The view

1. I was in the third floor with NO elevator , and this was not mentioned in the details of the room in booking.com, if I knew this earlier I would not stay in this place. 2. The bed room was very small and very hot, there was no AC and it was not possible to open the window, I did not sleep well. 3. There is one bathroom only serving 3 bedrooms! 4. There is no balcony facing the fjord, only windows, and the balcony is small and on the side rather than the front. 5. I did not like the IKEA level furniture, this does not match with the level of the cost I paid.

Brilliant location!

The coffee machine could be much better. Twice the number of plates would have been helpful. Cutlery should be for 12 so you aren’t having to run the dishwasher all the time. The sofa bed was not comfortable enough.

Für eine Ferienwohnung gering ausgestattet - dafür hochwertig. Keine Schränke oder Kommoden oder Sideboards - man lebt aus dem Koffer, wodurch das schöne Design des Zimmers leidet.

Ubicación excelente. Apartamento muy nuevo con muchos detalles y vistas de ensueño. Personal muy agradable y atento. Lo recomiendo como gran opción.

Somos cuatro de familia y creo que no debe ofrecerse para cuatro personas. El tamaño no permite tantos huéspedes.

Bonito apartamento, limpio, y bien ubicado. Pero pequeño, y nos toco un apartamento que daba a un lateral, y en un piso bajo donde pasaba la gente y se escuchaba todo el exterior y se veia todo, muy pequeño para cuatro personas, (dos adultos en una habitacion , y un sillon cama para dos adolescentes, )minimo e incomodo la verdad.

La verdad, que el que nos dieron para cuatro personas era muy peqeño, y para el precio una barbaridad lo que pagamos, la habitacion correcta pero el sofa cama para dos personas es incomodo y pequeño, y encima las vistas a un lateral, era un acceso al lago y pasaba mucha gente. No compensa lo pagado con la estancia que no fue nada barata, quizas sabiendo que ibamos 4 personas (no niños) podian habernos alojado en otra estancia, para tres estaba bien, para cuatro no.

The second bed was horrible, it was squeaking and totally uncomfortable, so it was impossible to sleep on it. Please change the sofa beds, especially for such a high amount of money that we spent.

The host was wonderful (although never met) and prompt and responsive to all emails. Location is right by the water, near floating sauna.

didn't realize how small and simple the apartment was! I thought it would be better for the price I paid which was $1200USD/day. However, I understand it is in the prime location and this is the going rate. Also too many people were stopping in front of apartment to take pictures.

We had a Fjord view property in Apartment 8. The view is heavenly. Mountains, small waterfalls, low lying clouds. Very mystical and beautiful. Very close to the Fjord Sauna and handy to have a lovely bakery and supermarket nearby.

4 of us stayed so two slept on the foldout couch which they said was comfortable. The apartment is snug but has everything you need. The bathroom is a good size. The views are spectacular.

Being on the water was so relaxing and luxurious. It was a very spa like, relaxing place to stay. So beautiful. The kitchen was well stocked to make your own food and with a grocery store steps away, everything was very convenient. I loved that they provided coffee and tea. Extra blankets on bed was a nice touch as well. We highly recommend sauna experience!

It was a little more expensive for us to use the shuttle to get back and forth to Flam for excursions. Most were based out of Flam. We didn't have a car and so that extra cost was a little unexpected. I did reach out to excursions a little too late about a pick up in Aurland, and wish that I would have done that earlier because some were able to accommodate. But I would still stay in Aurland - so relaxing and beautiful.

A wonderful location - amazing views and easy to walk everywhere in Aurland. We enjoyed sitting in the chairs and on the balcony looking at the fjord and sauna. The staff was helpful with restaurant recommendations and helping us arrange the shuttle bus from Flam.

At this high price, we (a family of four) expected to at least have a good night sleep, but that didn’t happen: For two of us who slept in the real bedroom, it was fine. Unfortunately, for the other two who had to sleep in the living room, it was horrible, because: 1. The sofa bed was squeaky with a hard, thin and flimsy mattress, which was extremely uncomfortable to lie on. 2. One of the curtains consisted of vertical blinds that did not block lights sufficiently even when drawn fully, and to make the matter worse, two pieces of the blinds were missing when we arrived, which meant the surrounding street lights and early morning lights filled the room, making it impossible to sleep comfortably. The maintenance team did fix the blinds temporarily on the second day of our stay. Other bad things: poor layout of the flat led to lots of wasted space, and a tiny kitchenette that felt like an afterthought, with the bare minimum of utensils, and the so-called Mountain View that mainly consisted of a car park and a busy street. In short, I did expect to pay a premium to visit this coveted area but the awful value for money of this still left me shocked and disgusted.

Le prix est complètement déraisonnable : 9000 CR pour un appartement confortable mais simple, pas de petit déjeuner, une vue principalement sur un parking e run peu sur le fjord. Avec les lumières des escaliers du bâtiment devant qui éclairent la chambre toute,la,nuit. Très,peu de logements à Aurland. Cet établissement profite d’un monopole

Les équipements de cuisine sont sommaires. Les casseroles étaient sales. Le salon était trop petit.
