The place looks exactly like the pictures…It smells amazing from the moment you set foot in the lobby, to the reception & your room. They have staff ready for you the very moment you arrive till you leave.

Полуоткрытый бассейн на крыше. Приветливый персонал, всегда готовый помочь. Каждые полчаса ходит бесплатный шаттл до метро. Местопложение уединённое, в стороне от основных достопримечательностей. Кому-то в плюс, кому-то в минус, дело вкуса.

An unpleasant incident occurred. A large sum of money in various currencies (dollars, euros, and yuan) disappeared from the safe. It's beyond belief that something like this could happen at a hotel of this caliber. The hotel staff said the safe was impossible to open and helped call the police. I ended up spending half a day with officers and at the police station. Naturally, no one returned the money, and my mood was ruined. After the incident, I started researching reviews of the hotel and noticed that a similar incident had occurred at this hotel a week earlier.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026An unforgettable 40th birthday getaway! 🎂 The hotel's architecture is absolutely magnificent, especially with the stunning Canton Tower view right from my bedroom balcony. I celebrated this milestone with my two sisters, and the amazing staff made it so extra—they decorated the room and even treated me to a gorgeous succulent cake! We enjoyed the massive breakfast variety, i even tried the Chinese cuisine & was taught to use chopsticks. We relaxed in the infinity pool, taking in the epic city and Canton tower views. Huge thanks to the wonderful team for making my birthday so incredibly special!"

Reviewed Jun 19, 2026После проживание в отеле обнаружил пропажу денег в рюкзаке, после завтрака вышли погулять и когда вернулись в номер там была горничная, она торопясь покинула номер и не убралась что было очень подозрительным. По приезду домой я обнаружил что часть денег было которые были в рюкзаке были заменены фальшивые доллары в которых было написано. После этого мы обратились в службу помощи на через букинг, после тщательного расследования получили ответ что нет признаков совершения действий сотрудниками отеля по замене фальшивых долларов. Основным аргументом то что сотрудники не могли этого сделать было то что гражданам Китая в Китае не возможно поменять доллары в банке без предоставления основания! Единственный утешительные бонус которые предложили сотрудники отеля это скидки на следующее бронирование!

There is no restaurant near by, and no Halal option in the menu except the seafood. But the staff is very helpful in ordering the food for you from outside.

Reviewed May 25, 2026The location was perfect for us, a beautiful spot on an island in the Pearl river. One quick tip to other foreign visitors though - please make sure you have the correct Chinese translation of the hotel address before you get in a taxi, or likely they won't know where it is (we learned the hard way!). Once we made it there, though, we were super impressed. The hotel is beautiful, with a real luxury look and feel. We we so impressed with our room - so spacious and comfortable with everything you would need - very special indeed, and our balcony had incredible views. The staff were just lovely, very friendly and helpful. The food in the a la carte restaurant was just beautiful, and there was plenty of choice in the buffet restaurants too. With the free shuttle bus, it was the perfect location for the Canton Fair (the reason for our visit). It was our comfortable haven after a long day at the fair. Overall, we just loved our stay at the Xanadu and would definitely return
Only a little thing. We looked forward to a lazy swim in the infinity pool, with it's fantastic views across the city from the top floor. However, it was freezing cold and after donning our costumes and stepping one foot in, the lifeguard shooed us away saying we couldn't get in without swimming caps. I'm sorry, but wearing a swimming hat is not exactly holiday infinity pool vibes ;-). So since we didn't have caps (they sold them of course), that was the end of that. But just a small niggle in an otherwise fantastic experience.

El internet de muy mala calidad tanto el piso 13 como el piso 8. Me cambié de la habitación del piso 13 por el aire que no funcionaba. Los desayunos básicos para las personas que no comemos comida asiática, el idioma de los que te atienden pésimo porque no hablan inglés. Y para finalizar, después de tener todo el día conociendo la ciudad y sus lugares históricos llegas a las 9pm y no hay servicio a la habitación y nadie puede comer ni siquiera pedir nada de tomar. Te sugieren que pidas comida por una aplicación totalmente en mandarín y nadie te presta apoyo para hacerlo
