Coastal Chic waterfront studio

Driftwood was the perfect space with everything you could think of or need, beautifully decorated and stocked ready to enjoy the most incredible location. Outside space was exceptional, it felt so peaceful and the views were impossible to beat, walkability to everywhere was a bonus too. Great communication made it a very smooth process overall.

Everything. This was our fourth time staying at this property and it did not disappoint. The property is so comfortable and well appointed with everything you need for a short stay. The beds are extremely comfortable and the area is so quiet. The views out to Kinsale harbour and Charles Fort are amazing. We will definitely be returning.

The Coastal Chic Cottage was perfect. I nicknamed it the Secret Garden!! The flowers in the yard with the harbor view are stunning! The view and sounds of the ocean air were so relaxing! The accomodations were decorated in the quaint space like something out of a magazine. Minimalistic and charming! The locationnwas perfect with a short walk to town to immerse yourself into the kinsale food, shops, and pubs!

Would have preferred a little bit more cutlery and dishes. Cups and some of the cupboards were not really clean.

All was great

The property is a small studio with fabulous sea views. A short and pleasant walk into town. We went in February and the studio was warm and cozy.

We couldn’t get stations on the television as I wanted to watch sports.

Loved the views , the peace and serenity of the water, the boats and garden. Lots of windows for the indoor/ outdoor feel!

The photos don't do this place justice, it's absolutely stunning. The accommodation is lovely, cosy and modern and the fire adds a lovely atmosphere. Great view from the waterfront and all the windows let is so much natural light and provide a lovely view of the water too. Great location as well, walking distance to several restaurants and bars. The hosts were also so lovely and welcoming, would absolutely stay here again!

We had a fantastic stay. The view is absolutely gorgeous — even better than the photos — and the space itself is very comfortable and well set up. The location is perfect, close to everything while still feeling peaceful. I highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful View of the Scilly Harbour!!! Beautiful, quiet location, just the sound of the waves.to send you off to a very peaceful sleep, in a very cosy bed. The studio was absolutely perfect, the owners had literally thought of everything, and it was decorated to a very high standard.The interior is to a very very high standard, the hosts were very friendly, helpful, and attentive. My husband is a decorator, and he commented on how they had done a great job! We would love to return today if possible, as we had a perfect 4days!! xxx

This was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed in Kinsale. The accommodation was stylish and comfortable and the views were amazing. We sat in the gazebo at the water’s edge at different times in the day - marvelling at the beauty of the view and the sea birds. We like to try different places to stay but we now have a favourite in Kinsale. Charming host who left us to enjoy our private space but was available to answer any queries. We loved Driftwood!

Fantastic location for strolling in to Kinsale. The little hut on the water is the perfect place to enjoy breakfast or a drink. The room itself is very cosy with heaters and a stove. Would definitely return and will recommend to friends and family

Gorgeous studio with very comfortable high-end bedding and furniture. The studio is very warm with an addition of a wood pellet stove, which is operated by remote control. There is a small kitchen area with 2 electric rings (no oven) and a microwave, Kettle, coffee maker, toaster , fridge. The studio is very airy with fantastic views of the water and the boats sailing past. There is a small patio and a lovely little private garden for guests, and a little wooden structure at the end of garden you can sit in right in front of the water. It's heavingly and so peaceful. The Spainiard pub and restaurant is 3 minutes' walk and does excellent food, no need for the car, in fairness there are so many great dining options all around Kinsale. There is one free parking spot for guests to use. You can do a lovely walk to Charles Fort and equally lovely walk to Kinsale town, roughly 15 mins or less if you run 😁. It's a unique property overall, something a bit different, a great find. We would definitely book again when we go to Kinsale. Our host Sara was great and extremely helpful ty. It's safe and secluded. WiFi, Alexa provided foc.

Excellent stay and amazing hosts. The location has one of the best views in town and also is within short walking distance to many stores and restaurants. I plan on being back soon, hopefully for a longer stay. Thanks again for a cozy and memorable stay!

The cottage is lovely; beautifully furnished and very comfortable. It’s adjacent to the owners’ home but is very private, and the little shed out front where you can have a glass of something and watch the comings and goings in the harbour is brilliant. Easy 10-minute stroll into town, and access to the Scilly Walk loop is practically at the doorstep.

No complaints at all - loved the property, and communication with Sara and Ian was great before, during and after our stay.

The cottage is so cute and right on the water. Beautiful views and homey vibes. Sarah was so kind and helpful. Quick walk right into downtown Kinsale. We really enjoyed our stay!

Perfect place on the waterfront to relax and close to everything in Kinsale. Ian arranged everything perfect to find the place and show us everything including recommendations for Dinner or Lunch.

Coastal Chic was everything I had hoped it would be when I saw this property online planning a 35th wedding anniversary trip for my wife's first visit to Ireland! Ian was the most excellent host and we fully enjoyed a great stay at Coastal Chic. Definitely a spot to mark for future visits!

I liked everything!!

Gorgeous location looking out over the harbour, this studio was surrounded by a beautiful garden. Sara and Ian had thought about every little detail from toiletries to bathrobes to fresh coffee and biscuits. We loved our stay here!

The parking wasn't the easiest to find but Sara came to the rescue!

The view was incredible, and we especially enjoyed sitting in the little gazebo looking at the water and the town of Kinsale. The hosts were responsive and welcoming. Inside, the place is adorable and every detail seems to have been considered. We would love to return some day!

The Coastal Chic Studio is a slice of heaven. We woke up the first morning, had our coffee in the garden sitting on the harbor watching a seal lazily swimming in front of us. I said out loud, 'sometimes in life you get lucky'. During extended travel it is hard to know what to expect. You can book online, guess about the accommodations and try to match your expectations to what the place offers - and you hope you're comfortable. In this case, you get a location that is quiet, on the water (watch boats from the bed?!?), a short walk to town, parking just down the block, and a VERY comfortable place to stay. Sara and Ian are terrific hosts, would love to get to know them better. They provided clear instructions and made great restaurant recommendations. When you leave you can turn left and walk to town (we were in town during a rugby tournament and you never would have known from the studio) or you can turn right and walk to Bullman's pub which has really good food. I've paid more for accommodations and gotten far less.
