Das Haus liegt mitten im Grünen und ist eine richtig kleine Oase. Das Zimmer selber war sehr groß und das Bett sehr angenehm. Auch das Frühstück entsprach ganz unseren Erwartungen.

Das Bad war bereits etwas in die Jahre gekommen und teilweise nicht mehr hundertpro funktionsfähig.

Самое лучшее здесь- завтрак с видом на джунгли. Из-за этого и сняли. Вообще главное всегда сохранять позитив. В номере есть кондиционер, кровать, большой таракан 🪳, мы назвали его Гошей 🥰 Чего нет? Чайника, холодильника, горячей воды, ремонта... Расположение: близко к шумному центру, но далеко к форту Галле. Мы шли туда пешком минут 20, мимо вонючих рыбных причалов. Итог: я пожалела, что взяла hotel не в форте, там гораздо более вайбово.

Ну если цель - Жоска сэкономить и на одну ночь, то минусов нет.

Location could not have been better - so peaceful surrounded by nature, but only a short walk to the fort, the bus station and the train station. Lovely spacious room and we really enjoyed sitting out on the terrace enjoying a delicious breakfast. Owner was so helpful and friendly- we asked where we could watch the cricket and he took us to where we could watch it, we had such a good afternoon! Highly recommend!

The room was large with plenty of good furniture. It’s also quiet considering you are very central in Galle and within a short walk to Galle Fort. The property also has a charming roofed veranda where breakfast is served and where you can relax. The couple running this place are delightful and very helpful and kind.

It's in a quiet setting in mini forest area which is nice after the traffic, noise, pollution of the new town. Just 4 min walk to new town area. Nice breakfast large room. Good aircon and fan.

We read previous reviews, and yes, we agree that the services need important renovation. There are also some geckos in the room, but these we meet nearly any hotel/guesthouse room in Sri Lanka.

Good location 10 mins' walk from the Fort. Set amidst a bit of jungle so you can have breakfast while watching the birds and monkeys play in the trees. Nice breakfast, kind family who let me stay a few hours past my checkout time.

Didn't have any running water for a few hours. Cockroaches in the bathroom. I think the room is a bit expensive for what you get, but Galle as a whole seemed to me more expensive than other parts of Sri Lanka I went to.

They're very friendly and supportive. We are happy with our stay.

The roof was not properly sealed, so we had a lizard walking around during the night making some noise.

We had a lovely stay here at Green Turf. The room was comfortable, clean, spacious with good air con and fans. In the morning we had a yummy breakfast before our short walk to the fort and other surrounding sights. We also had our laundry washed here by the very very kind family. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Awesome location if you’re into wildlife. House is surrounded by remnant of rainforest in the middle of Galle. Snakes, lizards, geckos, numerous birds and monkeys were all spotted during our two night stay. Located close enough by tuk-tuk to Galle fort while still offering a slice of Sri Lankan life.

Lush green around the property was awesome. Breakfast served was also quite good. Proximity to fort is good enough. For the price we paid, it was a great deal

The place is super cozy and the host was super sweet. We left early in the morning but he realised immediately that we had forgotten something so he called the tuktuk we were on back. Very grateful!

My room had a locked door that linked to the rest of the family house. It wasn’t sound proof and felt it compromised my privacy. The mosquito screen on the bathroom window was installed badly. It was cut to allow access to the window lock comprising its function.

Excellent hosts, great location close to bus and rail station, and the Fort, but on a quiet lane surrounded by jungle. A highlight was trying to catch fireflies at night along the lane to the house.

It is surrounded by a lot of greenery and so the room and breakfast areas have nice views. The owner is very nice and helpful. I arrived well past 12 midnight and he woke up to book me in

The bed was a bit hard and the sheets had a detergent smell that was not very pleasing so I had a hard time falling asleep. The shower area is very small. There are a flight of metal steps outdoors going up so one does need to be extra careful navigating them

Great place to stay lovely family 5 min walk to the local town 10 min drive to the Fort well worth visiting and 15 to 20 mins drive to unawatuna. Great breakfast lovely big room couldn't fault anytg and the locals helped my hubbie when he planted the tuk tuk in the ditch

-great breakfast with a great view of trees, monkeys and peacocks -spacious clean rooms -shower has decent pressure and hot water -lovely owners. On hand to answer any questions and provide any help you need -good location. Away from all the noisy traffic, and roughly 15-20 min walk to Galle fort, surrounding areas as well as train/bus station -tuktuk should cost 500 rupees from this area to the guesthouse

-wifi was a little weak, but not a problem as long as you have a local sim with mobile data -as much as its peaceful to be surrounded by trees and greenery, it means it comes with lots of mosquitoes. No net in the room so have some insect spray handy -curtain is thin and doesn't cover the whole window, so it does get bright in the morning -not really a negative point, but at times the owners got a bit toooo friendly with our 2 year old daughter. This is just culture as Sri Lankans love children, but we were not used to it

This is a lovely green refuge in amongst the city. It is a small family run gust house - the host was kind and attentive. The room was comfortable and quiet. If you want to see monkeys in the morning or flying fox bats in the evening, you should consider this place

- unfortunately no free drinking water to think about - No shower gel and shampoo available - 2 cockroaches in the bathroom, which came through the drain next to the toilet - Air conditioning could be renewed - Wifi was not so stable - on a few shelves there was still a used piece of soap from others - Only 1 towel in the room

The room is reasonably spacious and the AC works all right. The host was very kind and made us very good and reasonably priced dinner and breakfast. The bathroom is absolutely huge. The view from the terrace is mesmerizing.

It is relatively far away from the Fort but close to the local markets which offer cheaper and better alternative to the overpriced restaurants in the Dutch Fort. Really do watch out for scammers.

The Family were so kind and welcoming and went out of there way to help. The dog was also gorgeous! Breakfast was nice, and the bathroom was spacious. Would reccomend.

Bed was a little too short and not the comfiest and the stairs were steep. There was dogs who were noisy at night but that’s not their fault.

Wonderful Location and a so friendly host! They were super helpful, helped me a lot to know where to go and how to get everywhere, even guided me to take a bus to Kandy instead of the train because it wasn't working these days, I really recommend it because it saves time, just 4 hours to Kandy, it was a great stay! Green turf is situated in the middle of very beautiful greenery, it feels like being in a jungle, with the convenience of being at walking distance to the city center. It is easy to find. The hosts were the nicest! They were very calm and patient despite an error on my part, and they served us a delicious breakfast with toast, eggs, fruits, tea and more! They also woke up early when we had to leave, with a simpler breakfast, as we requested. They were also very responsive and replied quickly when we had a problem or a request. The room was comfortable and the bathroom HUGE. Very cute and quiet dog too!

The fan was a bit noisy, but by using the air conditioner instead, it was fine.

Perfect location, great view, the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Fruit for breakfast was very much appreciated also good AC.

During power cut-outs there was no water, also no AC which was a bit inconvenient. There was little to no noise from the street, but the dogs were sometimes very loud at night. We also saw one or two cockroaches sharing the room with us. Overall it was great and we recommend it, it is a great place to stay when exploring Galle.

Malí and Lanka were always great Hosts anytime. We arrived early im the morning and could get our room. A fresh welcome drink was serviced also. We asked for a room with two beds and it was organised withouth any cost. In the afternoon we were for a walk to the Galle Fort within walking distance and enjoyed the sunset and our dinner at Indian Hut Family Restaurant (very good and cheap local place with nice view to the lighthouse). Next day in the morning we had a great homemade breakfast and the Hosts organised a Tuk Tuk to the rail Station because of our big baggage. We loved the afternoon Talk with Mali and the funny Laura (Dog) , it is so nice meeting local people and their stories and wish all the best. Best Regards from Berlin.

The Surrounding is Awesome, The Birds sound and Calm Place, No Vehicle noises. The Host was really good and welcoming. The Breakfast was very good. Kind and Friendly Family. He Discounted on the Price as well which was so kind of them. I will recommend for the Family People to stay there. Awesome Experience

10 out of 10! My recent stay at this charming guesthouse was an absolute delight. The convenient location - a 20-minute walk from the Fort and lighthouse, yet nestled in tranquility, made it the perfect retreat. I liked the big windows in my room - I could lie on my bed and see the garden and listen to singing birds each morning. The huge bed and very good pillows ensured a restful night's sleep, the AC was working properly, the hot water was hot and the pressure was good. The delicious cooking surpassed my expectations, you don't need to spend money in expensive restaurants in the Fort area, try their home-cooked dinner! The breakfasts were also out of this world. But what truly made my stay exceptional was the hospitality of the family running the guesthouse. Their warmth and genuine care for guests were evident in every interaction. In conclusion, I highly recommend this guesthouse for its warm hospitality, convenient location, and comfortable amenities. It's a haven where you can truly relax and feel at home.

A very nice place to stay in Galle. Very close downtown, walkable distance to Fort and bus/train station. Despite being so close to downtown, it felt like in a middle of the jungle. The breakfast was delicious (variety of Sri Lanka breakfast) and the family owning the house even helped us with the laundry! The AC was very quite so it was comfortable to sleep with it on. Recommending :)
