Dinh Sapa Trekking & Homestay

The accommodation is far from Tavan centre, but peaceful with amazing view to the field. The room was spacious, well equipped and clean. The host was really kind, they arranged us nice place for meals. Dinner was good and cheap, breakfast was simple but ok.

Dinh was an amazing host, with lots of laughter and her cousin are an amazing trekking guide! Would definitely recommend! And the view from the room I booked for 3 nights was amazing. Thank you!

The homestay is 30-40min outside of Sapa by car!

Beautiful homestay and hospitality

It’s about 30 minute drive from Sapa town but it’s worth staying out here

This is more than a homestay. Dinh created a cultural experience where all the family is involved. The trekking tour mixes sightseeing with cultural immersion due to the local guides who speak English. The food is amazing. And there’s a little extra at dinner, where Dinh offers a cultural surprise. The rooms are nice, they can get chilly, but just ask Dinh and she will find a solution. The trekking experience only needs one night at the homestay, but I recommend two. Ta Van and the villages nearby are lovely places to walk around.

The bathroom needed some repairing, but Dinh was very responsive.

Beautiful homestay in Ta Van with gorgeous views. The staff is super friendly.

Only cash payment possible.

Lovely spot in the mountains. Simple rooms and delicious breakfast.

Accoglienza molto carina, lei simpaticissima. Vista camera incredibile

Come to the place before diner time to see Dinh hustles to keep up with 20-40 guests from all over the world, to introduce them to the place, how the young mother started the bussiness, get food service done right and herding the children for the local sing and dance. We came in february so it were very chilly. Very nice bed with heated blanket,so sleep is great. The cabin were spacious with ensuite bathroom. There are other rooms with shared bathroom. Dinh is very active and attentive host. The scenery is wonderful with foggy morning, cool mountain weather with rooster crow in the morning to go along with a cup of tea.

We stayed in the bungalow for two nights and really enjoyed our time. The space was clean, airy, and had an amazing view of the rice terraces. The hosts were very friendly, always ready to help, and served a delicious breakfast. It felt like a peaceful countryside retreat for the whole family.

The bungalow is simple but very charming, surrounded by bamboo forest and rice fields. Good value for money, and we would love to come back again

The bungalow was lovely, surrounded by rice terraces and mountains. Very peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing. The host was so kind and made us feel at home.

The family is very welcoming and the food was delicious. The bungalow is private and comfortable, with everything we needed. A perfect place to experience local life.

Clean, comfortable and with a beautiful view from the balcony. I really enjoyed waking up with the sound of birds in the morning.

Accueil sérieux, personnel attentif et serviable. Très bon petits déjeuners variés. Chambre calme propre bonne literie

The views from the room and the great atmosphere and support received from Dinh and her team

Great location in the middle of nature, but still close to the village. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing.

My partner and I stayed in this cozy wooden bungalow for a weekend getaway. The view from the porch was breathtaking — perfect for sipping tea and watching the sunset. The room was clean, with a soft bed and warm blankets. Dinh helped us organize a short hike and even showed us how to cook a local Hmong dish. It was such a unique experience — simple but full of love.

We had the best stay with Dinh and her family! Everyone was super welcoming and made us feel at home straight away. I would highly highly recommend staying at this homestay and taking part in a trek with them. On the morning of the trek we had lots of pancakes and fruit for breakfast and then received a bottle of water each to prepare us for the day. Our guide Coo was wonderful and very knowledgable about the area. Lunch was included and when we returned to the homestay we had a group dinner to finish the day. The beds were very comfortable, each had a mosquito net, and there were fans in the room to keep cool. Drinking water is available at all times and the bathroom facilities were clean with hot water. The views from the property are beautiful and I have added a photo :)

I can’t think of any negatives at all!

Every morning, we woke up to the sound of birds, fresh mountain air, and views of lush green rice terraces right outside our balcony. The room was spotless and cozy, with a super comfy bed. Dinh was incredibly kind, always smiling and ready to help. If you’re looking to escape the noise and find peace in nature, this is the perfect place.

Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for nature, culture, and kind-hearted people!

This homestay is not just a place to sleep – it’s a full experience. From the home-cooked meals to the guided trekking and cultural exchange with local people, everything felt special. The views are unbeatable and the hosts make you feel like family. I wish I had stayed longer!

A hidden gem in the mountains. I’ve stayed in many places in Vietnam, but this one stands out for its warmth and authenticity. We were welcomed with tea, joined a cooking class, and spent the evening learning Hmong culture. The room was rustic but charming, and I loved every moment

We booked a trekking tour and ended up staying at their beautiful bungalow. It was quiet, cozy, and surrounded by nature. The host shared her story and her work supporting local children – truly inspiring. This place has soul!

If you want to escape the tourist crowds and connect with real village life, this is the perfect place. The room is simple but very clean and comfortable. I loved waking up to the sounds of nature and the view from my bed was like a painting.

I stayed for two nights and felt like part of the family. The mountains and rice fields around the homestay are breathtaking. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and cooked delicious traditional meals. I also joined a local hike – unforgettable experience!

We had an amazing experience staying at Dinh’s bungalow!. The view from the balcony was stunning, especially during sunrise. We also booked a trekking tour with Dinh and her family. It was one of the best parts of our trip in Vietnam. They guided us through beautiful villages and shared so much about Hmong culture. In the evening, we joined a traditional dinner with the family — such a warm and unforgettable moment. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for nature, culture, and kind-hearted people!

We really enjoyed my stay here. The hostel is located in a beautiful village, and my room had the best view — it was truly stunning! I also joined a trekking tour with the Dinh’s cousin, who was very kind and knowledgeable. An unforgettable experience!

Everything is good

We booked a bungalow and it was even better than expected. The view from the room was breathtaking — mountains, rice fields, and fresh air. The space was clean, cozy, and very peaceful. Perfect for relaxing after trekking. Highly recommend!

We arrived at the hostel without any plan, and Dinh helped us organize a trekking tour the next day. It was super easy and flexible. The hike was amazing and we learned so much from her!

We stayed at Dinh’s homestay for one night and it truly felt like home. The bungalow was cozy, clean, and had an amazing view of the rice terraces. The host was kind and welcoming. We also joined a Hmong cooking class which was such a special experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a real Sapa experience!

If you’re looking for something more than just a hotel, this is the place. We learned so much about Hmong culture, helped prepare a traditional dinner, and relaxed with breathtaking views. Dinh also supports local children to go to school, and we even had the chance to dance with them — it was such a fun and heartwarming experience! The homestay is simple but beautiful, and the atmosphere is warm and authentic. Thank you, Dinh and your lovely family

We booked a bungalow, and after the booking, Dinh told us that we could also start trekking from Sapa and that she could help with our bags — so we chose this option. It was amazing! The trek was beautiful, and everything was well organized. the food was homemade and delicious. Dinh is a wonderful host who made us feel very welcome. We didn’t want to leave! Thank you, Dinh! 🥰🥰

It’s a fairly good starting point for trekking, the views are amazing

All the 5 stars ratings on booking are in fact not rating the home stay but Dinh’s tour that you can book on get your guide. For booking guests, it’s very loud at night since there’s a show for the get your guide guests, then karaoke and a party (lots of alcohol involved). The walls are quite thin so it’s impossible to sleep until the party is over. As a booking guest you won’t be participating. Breakfast is in fact not included and as a booking guest you’re generally more or less being ignored by the staff. I was hoping for a quiet getaway in nature and got sleepless nights instead. I would recommend either booking Dinh’s tour on get your guide or a home stay closer to the center of Tavan. Was rather disappointed with my experience here.

-had a good dinner for 80 000 dong -room was nice -good place to do some hiking

-it was loud -you could hear everything through the walls -people were drinking a lot happy water -the view of my room wasn‘t the same as in the pictures

Authentic, Peaceful, and Heartwarming I had the most unforgettable experience staying at Dinh Sapa Trekking Adventures and Homestay. The location is simply breathtaking — nestled on a quiet hillside with panoramic views of rice terraces and lush bamboo forests. Waking up every morning to the sound of birds and misty mountain air felt like a dream. The room was clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated in traditional Hmong style. I stayed in a private bungalow with a view — perfect for relaxing with a cup of tea after a long trek. What truly made my stay special was Dinh and her family. They welcomed me like one of their own. I joined a guided trekking tour with Dinh, learned so much about Hmong culture, visited local villages, and even tasted the famous “happy water.” It was real, raw, and beautiful. Highly recommended for those looking to experience the true heart of Sapa. I would love to come back!

Staying at Dinh’s homestay was more than just accommodation it was a genuine cultural experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt so welcomed. The homestay is clean, peaceful, and has one of the most beautiful mountain views I’ve ever seen. Dinh offers trekking tours, cooking classes, and even teaches English to local children. I joined her cooking class and learned how to make traditional Hmong dishes fresh, flavorful, and fun! The atmosphere at the homestay is warm and full of life. Sharing meals with other travelers and Dinh’s family was one of the best parts of the trip. If you’re looking for an authentic Sapa experience, this is the perfect place.

We stayed one night at Dihn’s homestay and we would have stayed longer if we could. We really enjoyed both days trekking with her and Sein. She is an amazing woman and it was incredible getting to know her ♥️ Good luck with everything you are doing for you, your family and the community.

Great views and amazing hosts. They arranged a trekking through the rice fields for us which was amazing and it includes dinner and breakfast. Really wonderful place.

I had the loveliest time at the homestay. Dinh and her family are so incredibly welcoming. The trekking was a lot of fun and the food was delicious. It was the perfect combination of relaxing with an incredible view and having fun with the hosts and learning about their story. I couldn’t recommend it more!

Staff is exceptional, food is amazing, view is beautiful, super clean and comfortable!! Do yourself a favor and stay here :) Thank you for everything Dinh!!!!!

Nothing

The whole experience was amazing - really lovely authentic rooms with a heated blanket! Dihn is such a generous host and inspirational person They cook for you every night and the meals are amazing

I honestly cannot fault this property at all

Amazing experience, I can only recommend. Stay here, not in Sa Pa, one of best stays we've had in Vietnam. Dinh is contagiously positive, views are nice, food is good and you definitely won't need a bar.

I had an amazing experience at Hmong Hillside House. The homestay is nestled in the breathtaking scenery of Ta Van village, Sapa, surrounded by lush terraced rice fields and majestic bamboo forests. The rooms are clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated with traditional Hmong elements. The hosts are incredibly friendly and hospitable, making me feel right at home. I also joined a trekking tour with them and learned a lot about the local culture. Definitely worth a visit!

If you’re looking for a place to relax and connect with nature, Hmong Hillside House is the perfect choice. The homestay is not only beautiful but also offers a peaceful and warm atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the evenings by the campfire, listening to the hosts share about Hmong culture and life. The trekking tour led by Dinh was truly an amazing experience; I discovered hidden gems and fully immersed myself in the beauty of Sapa. This is a place I will surely return to in the future!

Staying at Hmong Hillside House was an incredible experience! The location is simply stunning, surrounded by the serene beauty of Sapa’s iconic rice terraces. The homestay itself is charming, with comfortable rooms that offer a perfect blend of modern amenities and traditional Hmong decor. What truly made the stay exceptional was the warmth and hospitality of Dinh and her family. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay, from delicious home-cooked meals to personalized trekking tours that showcased the hidden beauty of the area. I highly recommend this homestay for anyone looking to experience the true essence of Sapa.

Nothing and everything was good

An unforgettable stay at Hmong Hillside House! The homestay is perfectly located to enjoy the stunning views and fresh air of Sapa. Every morning, I woke up to the beautiful scenery from my window, and the breakfast prepared by the hosts was delicious and plentiful. Dinh and her family were very attentive, always ready to help and share fascinating stories about Hmong life. I was especially impressed by their efforts to support local children with education. I will definitely recommend this homestay to my friends!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE with Dinh! She is so human and explained a lot during the trekking! The Homestay is incredible and we really enjoyed the time with her! I recommended 100% if you want an authentic experience

Hmong Hillside House was the highlight of our entire Vietnam trip. The hosts have a warm and welcoming family that truly makes you feel at home. This unique experience is one I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone thinking of visiting the area. The bungalow rooms were beautiful with stunning views. The family-style dinner and daily breakfast were both delicious and authentic. We also arranged a local tour, which was fantastic and much more affordable than booking through a website. It was the perfect way to experience the local culture and traditions, away from the crowds of Sapa. A must visit! Thank you so much Dinh 🥰 our host

The hiking and the stay with dinh and her family was a true highlight during our time in Vietnam. I can only recommend doing a multiple day tour with her. The hikes were amazing, especially the second day when starting from dinhs place into less touristic bamboo forests and rice fields is just amazing. Nonetheless the best part is the stay with dinh and her family. Dinh is just the best host and it was amazing playing football with the kids living in the village. Food was amazing, happy water as well :) All in all just an amazing time, would highly recommend doing it to everyone. Only thing I would do differently is stay longer

We did the trekking with Dinh and stayed one night with her and her family. Apart from her being an incredible guide with very good english, she’s an amazing person who, with the money raised, helps the local Black Hmong community, specially by improving the living conditions and life opportunities of the children, helping them to have an education. By staying with her, not only will you stay in her beautiful homestay, eat sooo good food and have the best and most commited guide, but also will be part of an amazing project 💛

The best homestay and best experience in Vietnam I had an incredible experience in Sapa with a wonderful family who hosted me for three days of trekking. Dinh was so professional, helpful, and positive. Besides having an excellent knowledge of Sapa’s history and the area, she was polite and kind at all times. Her family and children were just as lovely. I will never forget these amazing three days surrounded by nature—an authentic experience with the local people. The food was sensational for every meal, always fresh and abundant. I highly recommend this kind of experience to everyone. I will cherish it in my heart forever. Thank you so much for everything! ❣️✨🌾🌬️

We have a nice stay with Hmong Hillside House. The owner Dinh so nice and amazing and she supported local kids that so nice to stay with her family. The private room is simple but cozy we shared bathroom Have dinner together and the children are dance to welcome us We did some trekking with her in the villages that was nice and she shared so many stories and my wife love it so much! Thank you so much Dinh Highly recommended

Everything is perfect
