Prachtige Homestay! Prachtige locatie! Aanrader!

Lam and her family were excellent hosts - quality people. The location was stunning and watching the activity in the valley around us from the pool and the pool area was a special time on our holiday in Vietnam. The chalet had all we needed and the super view. There are some good trails that can be easily accessed on foot from the home stay - the bamboo forest across the valley being one of them.
It exceeded our expectations for a home stay. We would have appreciated a small shop on the premises with some essentials and snacks. But there were small shops and a couple of good restaurants within 10 mins walk.
The family is simple and attentive; they were very attentive to our 9-month-old baby. But that's all. Upon arriving at the location, even before 2 PM, the family welcomed us and put us in a makeshift room, as well as offering us breakfast.
The host doesn't provide house rules, such as schedules or options. Things just happen as they please. Prices aren't cheap; you pay $8.00 for a simple lunch or dinner. Upon arrival, there was confusion locating my reservation, meaning they weren't expecting our arrival. There was no toilet paper in the room. The staff provided the necessary support. I don't recommend the breakfast; it's very basic. It's better to bring your own food. All the services I checked the prices for were extremely expensive. For example: taxi service, motorcycle rental.
Stayed in the deluxe room. The cabin style room is wonderfully designed. It'a an amazing room that charmingly filled with traditional furnishing. The room was furnished with two chairs, a couch, a table, a huge bed and an open wardrobe, all in classic wood. The room was basically very comfortable. Bed was really comfortable, with a medium firm mattress and the duvet was just the right level of comfort for the weather. Plenty of electrical sockets all around the room. The bathroom is a combined toilet and shower, with a washbasin. Liquid soap, shampoo, toothbrush, shaving kit and other toiletries were supplied. Very large windows that provide superb views of the hills and rice terraces below. The views are simply stunning. The balcony provided even better views of the surrounding area. The grounds of the resort are extensive and scenic to walk around Location is excellent with lots of cafes and eateries close by.
Minor point is that the reception is rarely staff. It wasn't a problem as I was out hiking most of the time.
Bella struttura, molto curata e pulita, gestita da una famiglia molto gentile
It has a pool and a view of the valley. The vibe is a bit upscale but maintains the local hospitality where they will bring you into the family kitchen for dinner if you choose! Very lovely family.
The view from the rooms and pool area is breathtaking. Close to some nice cafes and about half an hour walk to another nearby town which has additional options. The owners invited us to dinner and even took us to a local festival during tet holidays which was incredible.
The walls are very, very thin and our neighbours (a big group who arrived together) seemed to want to turn it into a festival campsite, playing loud music at all hours of the morning which we weren’t expecting in a quiet hilltop location.
INCREDIBLE MY BEST STAY IN VIETNAM! The family is super atentive and welcoming they helped me with everything! The views and instalations extraordinary.
The place is truly beautiful and very well maintained. Everything is clean and tidy, which makes the stay very pleasant. The bed is especially comfortable, perfect for a good night’s rest. In addition, the staff is super kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. A wonderful experience that I would definitely recommend!
Unbelievable views, amazing coffee, and ate traditional Vietnamese dinners with the family every night.
The property only took cash (which is understandable) and the pricing for things like food and drink could have been more transparent.
We loved our stay here!! The apartment was beautiful and secluded (although there were a couple of cheeky birds on the roof!) The couple we stayed with were very inviting and great hosts. Dinner cooked by Lam was huge and included lots of delicious Vietnamese flavours. Breakfast was served outside with a beautiful view the next morning too and managed to make sure we had breakfast early to fit with our schedule. The host family normally get mostly Vietnamese tourists so their English wasn’t great however that didn’t stop us managing to converse using google translate. Would highly recommend staying here.
We had an amazing 3 nights at O’Chau homestay. Truong, Lam & family were so friendly & kind - they treated us like their family throughout our stay. Our room was upgraded, free of charge, to a beautiful, large room with a stunning view of the mountains and rice fields. The bed was the comfiest we’ve stayed in South East Asia- we slept so well! The family organised a trekking tour for us with a local guide at a good price and they even leant us their welly boots so our trainers didn’t get muddy! Truong even went out to buy some more that were a bigger size for my partner to use! We ate traditional meals with the family in the evening and the food was delicious. They also provided us with beers & soft drinks. The gardens surrounding the homestay are beautiful, there are animals and even a swing. Upon leaving, Lam organised our sleeper bus to Hanoi and Truong drove us to the town to catch our bus. Highly recommend this homestay for a friendly, authentic experience in Sapa!
This was the second time my husband and I stayed at O’Chau. I can’t say enough good things about the property. The bungalow was beautiful, clean and spacious. And the meals were delicious. I will definitely come back.
Exceptionally helpful and welcoming host family. They worked very hard to create a little paradise in middle of the rice fields, filled with pleasure and animals. They really did everything to make us feel welcome and happy.
I was in Sa Pa on the first days of a 47-day holiday. Sa Pa was my favorite place during my holiday and this was also my favorite facility. This village house in the Muong Hoa valley is clean and comfortable, and I should also mention that the room is very well-organized. I should mention that you will see real hospitality. They will serve you very nice breakfast and meals. You will be hosted by very good people. I recommend you to stay in this house, which is in a very good location in the valley. I want to come to Vietnam again and stay here. The views from the garden of the house are wonderful. Let me add them too.
Amazing stay with this family, they invited me for every meal and had a party with other friends in the house. Good memories and good fun! Beautiful and comfortable new place!
O Chau Homestay was a lovely experience. The room was spacious, the en suite was big and modern. The balcony had a wonderful view. The food was fantastic. The couple who ran it were gracious and welcoming. I can’t wait to go back.
My room has been upgraded without even ask. Spacious, clean and very nice design. I've been offered a great breakfast and often time.ive been asked I I wanted to have dinner with theyre family... wich happened rarely during my stay in vietnam. Very nice people always ready to help and fix.problems if needed.
Nothing I didn't like
As a solo traveler it’s always the question where you end up. O’Chau Homestay was such a positive surprise, when I checked in they gave me a free upgrade to a private room, since they just opened it’s still very calm. The location is perfect, I enjoyed the stunning views reading a book in silence. The family made me feel super welcome, they invited me for lunch and dinner and even took into account that I’m a vegetarian. I was well taken care of, a warm rain shower was provided, towels and even a bathrobe! I would definitely recommend everyone to go here! Just rent a motorbike in Sapa and drive through the rice fields to the homestay. There are some really nice restaurants and coffee places close by (walking distance) like Pavi Garden and Sailing Sapa.
