Wagyu Mountain Lodge

The property is a true hidden gem. It looked better in person. My partner and I were able to relax. The best part about it was the privacy and how romantic it felt. It’s also in close proximity to lots of wine farms and great restaurants. I could go on and on.

I have nothing to complain about.

Beautiful relaxed area surrounded by olive trees and blooming orchid trees, springboks roaming in the camp, birds enjoying olives from trees! accomodation area have all you need , lovely stay

Bed needs an upgrade, check in had hick ups but we have been assisted kindly, they could just have informed us that the gate at entrance had to be opened manually on departure as it had issues the previous day, further great stay and highly recommended

It’s lovely decorated inside and out, very quiet and peaceful. Love that it is so private.

Schöne Unterkunft mit allem was man benötigt. Hot Tube, Feuerstelle, Braai, etc. Sehr schöne Anlage mit täglichen Besuch von Springböcken. Sehr gute Ausgangslage für Aktivitäten in Paarl.

Really calming place, Felt like I could properly relax. The two secured fences, gave a nice sense of security & it was quiet where we could enjoy our company. Perfect for a getaway.

I love the location and the proximity to the mountain. The fire-hot tub outside is amazing! I love the animals and milk for tea!

Everything was amazing! The place, the location, the view, the pillows, the hot tub…!!! Everything above and beyond! Highly recommend to everyone who wants some privacy and good stay!

We loved our one night stay here, the location was so peaceful and sitting in the hot tub with that scenery and surroundings was quite surreal. It was perfect. The Lodge felt luxurious, we enjoyed cooking our steaks on the fire pit and they were the tastiest steaks!

Nothing, everything was fantastic. I would only add in that if we were aware of how well stocked the kitchen facilities were we may had adjusted what food we packed to bring with us, but that was not an issue at all. We had an amazing time.

An amazing retreat in the hills for peace and romance while being up close to nature! The host provided everything that was needed, from a warm hot tub on arrival to delicious Wagyu steaks and salads in the fridge! A complimentary bottle of bubbles was the icing on the cake for a 30th anniversary surprise! We will definitely revisit this wonderful gem- thank you for the most memorable experience!

Beautiful view, remote and quiet but close to Paarl, nice restaurants and of course the winehouses. From the hottub you can see all the stars in the evening. The springbocks in the spacious garden are a nice touch. Nice veranda and bathroom with - again - a stunning view. We did not have time for the marked hike around the terrain, next time!

I hope they open the restaurant again!

Amazing location and views. We loved the jacuzzi and very modern accommodation.

Hot water wasn’t working the night for some reason and the water was only slightly hot. The next morning the hot water was working perfectly.

The porperty was perfect, unfortunately there was very bad wind the night we stayed, so we could not enjoy the outside areas. But this is not something anyone can change or control.

Absolutely stunning place, requested the romantic turndown down which was perfect as hot pool was heated on arrival, rose petals and chocolates on the bed. The honesty bar was good. A must stay if in this area I highly recommend it.

A superb, serene and extremely thoughtfully set up space. The team was very friendly, helpful and flexible with quite complex logistics and helped me organise local transport. Smart set up for getting on and off the property. Outstanding hot tub with a stunning view and really delightful honesty bar with Wagyu, 'breakfast box' and more... check what will already be there, as it's a delightful little set up. Lovely bird life and a very friendly buck that hangs out off the stoep.

Niets, alles is perfect.

The property was better than expected. The host was very accommodating, the property was clean, comfortable and very private. There was a springbok which was so lovely to watch. The views were spectacular.

Wagyu Mountain Lodge was a WOW!. We initially were booking for one night and within 15 minutes of arriving, were trying to change and extend our trip....it's that good!! The amenities are probably the best we've ever experienced! They have gone out of their way to make you feel comfortable and thought of anything you might need. The Honesty fridge and the kitchen area are stocked with amazing goodies! The hot tub and outside fire area in the most amazing location results in time just floating by! We loved it and looking forward to returning! The hosts and staff are amazing and always on hand if anything!

Giving back the keys! But seriously, we left feeling so relaxed and enjoyed our journey home!

Beautiful accommodation that is very comfortable with wonderful views. The honesty fridge was wonderful as the onsite restaurant was closed. Will definitely like to stay longer next time.

The view and location simply outstanding

A very tranquil location with the feeling of the outdoors. Cesca was easy to contact and always offering advice and suggestions. We saw Cape dassies, Thick tailed Mongoose, and a Hoepoe, Cape Robin and even the black resident Springbok while sitting on the verandah.

There isn't much not to like.

We had a great time and really appreciate the early check-in accommodation and anniversary gift. Definitely recommend this stay!

Exceptional Service! Cesca was extremely helpful and friendly , our hot tub was ready on arrival, room was warm and bed was heated when we arrive , I love that they clean everyday ,it was the most relaxing time ,definitely will be back soon!

It’s just ok for “money” reason

The lodge was an amazing stay, it had all the necessary comforts and more, it was peaceful, such a relaxed setting in nature! Lodge accommodation was modern, clean and in really great condition. The food at the restaurant was amazing and the tasting experience was superb. Really great wines on the menu. Hospitality of hosts and staff were incredible. They ensured our stay was memorable, organizing spa treatments at our lodge, bubbles on arrival, braai box and breakfast delivery to our lodge to enjoy.

The attention to detail in the lodge was wonderful. It was such a peaceful location and very nicely set out. We ate at the restaurant and it was all excellent - steak, wine and service! Everything was spotless! We even had a lovely little visitor from a bok.

Even more beautiful than advertised. We had the rock lodge. Super comfortable and peaceful.

We had an amazing stay. the only small note is that the staff could have been a bit more welcoming when we arrived.

Great location, stunning views. The lodge has everything you need. We had massages at the lodge in the afternoon, it was the perfect treat to finish our trip. The bbq box with the Wagyu beef was delicious and wine too

The whole concept was nice and giving an exceptional experience, the lodge was very clean and equipped with all needed. The Wagyu Experience restaurant was a beautiful experience, the steaks and especially the wagyu burger were best. Also buying the meat from the deli restaurant and bbq at the lodge was lovely experience.

Everything was fantastic.

The bedroom, bathroom and kitchen have everything you need to really enjoy your time. The bathroom is especially impressive. And the aircon is great because Paarl gets HOT.

Everything, Wow- a must stay for a couple while in Cape Town. About an hour drive from centre of Cape Town and you are in the mountains. The lodge has everything you need well done accommodation, feels like camping but not and all the luxuries of a hotel stay, quiet, secluded, views and the Wagyu meat products are awesome. We also did the Whiskey pairing, only thing is don’t plan on driving afterwards, but also amazing. This is one stay we shall be returning too.

Nothing, will be back

Location was beautiful, will recommend everyone to stay there, we will for sure come back! The cabin was just amazing, cool and clean. The staff was super helpful. We ordered one of the Wagyu packages and it was delicious (and i don’t even like meat). I wish we had something like this in our country.

They asked us upfront if we would like it if they would heat up the hottub for us, but it was extremely hot when we arrived. We shut down the fire but we couldnt access it until the next morning. That was a bit of a shame. But in the morning we had our coffees there, so it was just fantastic after all.

there is no view from the Olive unit, the outdoor lights shine into the main bedroom and the fridge in the unit as well as the fly spray make a big noise all night.
